5001  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet.com don't pay out winning on: January 02, 2017, 09:30:52 PM
Taken from the ToS of Cloudbet:

5.1.9.3. Only one account per customer/IP/household is allowed. If you attempt and/or successfully open more than one account, all of your accounts may be blocked, suspended or closed and any bitcoin credited to your account frozen.

In reality, they didn't even have to transfer any funds to your account. This could simply be an attempt to find out the rest of your accounts through your own stupidity (though they could just as easily check for the same bitcoin/IP addresses or any other means) - Cloudbet has the authority to keep any winnings.

Why did you create multiple accounts in the first place?
5002  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] New child boards on: January 01, 2017, 08:08:00 PM
True, this is primarily a place for Bitcoin. Tell me if this suggestion is legitimate though. I may just not understand the forum fully, but when you've posted in a thread and want to keep up to date with it - who is replying to you know, who is quoting you - it's sort of hard to do that at the moment. We have the "show new replies to your posts" button, but that will just give you a list of threads you're in and when you click on one, it simply dumps you in it. A suggestion could be to make it easier to see what threads you're in, where you've been quoted, notifications of such things, etc. Now once again, this may just be my lack of understanding of the forums, but the personal messages seem to be the same way, just one long string of messages leaving it a bit cluttered and not organized. Let me know what you think.

I actually did want a "mention" feature for the forum, and that can be in the new forum, though at the moment you can do something to pretty much see when you're mentioned (though there will be duplicates that you've seen if your history goes long enough) - go into search, and type your name in the searchbox, then set the search order dropdown menu to "most recent" and you'll have mentions.

That'll show every time you're quoted, and if there's a large discussion thread you want to lurk, watchlist covers that.
5003  Other / Meta / Re: Dear signature spammers... (or account farmers.) -- Read the STATS inside. on: January 01, 2017, 04:55:49 PM
The fact is most signature spammers don't live in the US and probably have nothing better to do with the time or even unemployed.
You're right, that was also my point. Comparing forum payouts to US wages will, despite what OP thinks, still show campaigns as profitable. Even if you cut the payouts by half it wouldn't discourage people from spamming, because of wage differences. To give you a perspective, I've noticed some of the spam coming from Indonesian forum users. Minimum monthly wage in Indonesia is close to $100 according to this site http://www.salaryexplorer.com/salary-survey.php?loc=101&loctype=1 Even if they are wrong and it's twice that (200USD), you can still earn such money here. This means in some parts of the world an unemployed person can treat forum like a typical day job.

I thought the majority were people from the Phillippines. That's what I've noticed, but perhaps I'm wrong (selection bias).

An unemployed person can treat this as a typical day job, yes. However, if they are spamming, that is absolutely not okay. When you work for someone, you don't do a shit job and expect them to pay you. A signature spammer values quantity over quality... when does this occur in real life? (Maybe low-end jobs where you need to pump out crap) If a user can't even do their job properly, do they deserve it? If they're unemployed, they have the time to post quality content. I've noticed 30 posts is the quota for a lot of campaigns, so we'll simply use that number.

Let's say you post 4 posts on the weekdays and 5 posts on the weekends - is it that hard to find a worthy discussion that has a question/topic which hasn't been talked about over and over again to add some new information to it? If you have an entire day to write 4 or 5 posts, that's several hours you have per post. Even if you take an hour for each of those posts, that's a 30-hour work week.

It shouldn't matter what their living conditions are. Spam is spam, and should not be tolerated... and I hate it when spammers attempt to feign ignorance by stating that they do not know if a post is spam, or if they claim that their English is poor and thus the grammar falls. Absolutely ridiculous. After skimming through the post, you should be able to tell whether it has substance or not; if your English is poor, you should go to a local board. I don't try to market products in China with shitty grammar, and they shouldn't market the signature in the English-based sections with shitty grammar.

(but then of course the secondstrade campaign is filled with spammers, giving them opportunities)
5004  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] New child boards on: January 01, 2017, 04:46:22 PM
I think it could be beneficial to further categorize the "off-topic" board and include in it child boards.

Why?

One I was thinking of could be a programming child board inside of off-topic that may get a lot of attention and be useful.

Would it really? How many programming threads are there currently in off-topic? Any programming-themed threads would likely go to Project Development, Services, or a different site -- this is bitcointalk. Unless you think that a programmer with a revolutionary piece of software is only going to show it here, I see no point in adding a section dedicated for it. It would be pointless, and even if there were a few threads, they would likely be swarmed by spammers saying "i like it".

Make a poll to generate some ideas and the most popular topics that look like people would use a lot could be made into child boards inside of off-topic.

So a child board called "One-line replies"? There really isn't anything to group together in off-topic, and most of the threads are just pure trash. Maybe there could be a child board called "forum games" but that might even be pushing it. You go ahead and try: find at least 20 threads that are similar enough to group together into a child board.

5005  Economy / Reputation / Re: Please neg rep me on: January 01, 2017, 06:57:31 AM
Well the point is that the person who had access to my account has contacted a bunch of people, and I'm worried about them having had moved the conversation to other mediums (e.g. email, IM) and they believe they're speaking to me, but speaking to a scammer. However if they see my account has neg rep, they'll likely read it

Did you PM the individuals that were messaged? If so, they'll probably see that before they check your profile. The only issue is that if anyone is still having a conversation in another medium, then they will most likely go forward with the transaction(s) without checking your profile. Though I could be wrong.
5006  Other / Meta / Re: Very low value spam thread abused by farmers and sig spammers ALERT! on: January 01, 2017, 06:40:33 AM
"Very low value spam thread".

I have to ask: Is there any other type of spam thread?

And I concur.  There is no reason to have to break rules whilst earning money on this forum.  A lot of people are just lazy and/or ignorant.  And a good deal of these shitposters can't write English well, and that most definitely affects post quality.  If you can't write English, a lot of stuff gets lost in the translation.  Idioms, humor, and a whole bunch of other stuff.  The posts start looking all the same.

How's Nevada looking?

I just walked outside and looked across the Colorado River at Nevada for you. It still looks the same. Just got off the phone with Tuxavant, too, giving him a heads-up about a Bitcoin meetup I proposed on that Meetup site thingy and about this crazy viral thread that'll probably cause BitcoinTalk to close down  Cry thanks to what was sadly revealed within: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1735133.0

Back on-topic, ... ahh, fuck it! It's New Years Eve. Besides, what are the chances of any mod seeing this post.  Roll Eyes

EDIT: I couldn't help but notice the view count increasing of the link-to thread above, perhaps due to me posting it here. No spoiler alert, so you'll have to see the latest on your own accord. That's some crazy shit, all. Madness!

I agree with what you said!

Hit 'em with a triple for the new year! (All consecutive posts by the way)

Can someone on the DT please leave me negative trust for being a hacked account. Someone today seems to have hacked the account and organize some altcoin trades. I think I have total control of the account, but I'd like it as a warning for anyone who is dealing with this account or thinks they are communicating with me
That is not the solution for your problem like @densuj said you can change your password and email address to get back your controlled to your account. As for now theirs no one else complaining a scam attempts with that account.
Hello,
If you are satisfied with above solutions then no problem afterall an account details can be entirely change on BitcoonTalk, otherwise contact me for negative trust.

Exactly, although we give the negative trusted must there are valid proof and this thread is not valid proof for reasons of us giving negative trusted.
During there are no  dupe using that account, there are no reasons for the members giving negative trusted. Although the owner of account wants it.

I had an idea for campaigns, though this would likely not be implemented - to deter farmers from switching campaigns to different ones that they can spam in (potentially with higher payouts) the campaign can allow the users to start off at the rank below theirs, and after a week of quality posts, they will be promoted to their forum rank. This both allows a trial period and deters switching out of campaigns (and kind of plays a factor in an increased post quality as being kicked out of a campaign will mean a lower pay for a week)
5007  Economy / Lending / Re: Need loan of 1.117 btc , repaying 1.25 btc No collateral. on: January 01, 2017, 12:11:44 AM
lol forget it here people don't get 0.001 btc loan without collateral and you are asking 1 btc loan. Another reason you won't get is coz you are a newbie.

I am 100% sure that i will repay , if you are interested PM me.If i was n't sure then I would n't take a huge risk by lending 1 btc .

What if I told you that if you give me all your money that I'm 100% sure that I'll repay you?

Your word means nothing, especially considering the fact that your account could have been made in less than a week.

5009  Economy / Lending / Re: Is this possible - I Need 5BTC Using my website as collateral on: December 31, 2016, 08:56:45 PM
If you are already making some profit, then why do you need more traffic? Simply invest your revenue back into the website to generate more traffic if needbe; an accelerated process won't be given to you [the loan] but you could always try to market it here on bitcointalk -- I looked at your past post history, is this website the one similar to Paxful?

And if you're unwilling to drop the link here, then how exactly are you profiting without a public market? After all, free promotion in this lending thread shouldn't be a proble, right?

You've failed to mention a repayment amount as well as an address (but those are not necessary at this point)
5010  Economy / Lending / Re: bitcoin loan on: December 31, 2016, 08:52:27 PM
Why did you make two topics? [https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1734912.0]

its okay im newbie but i cant understand why problem is this im in the it sector more than 10year and i have got a good team and a good idea for a startup really i think its a really rude to say my house is nothing here Smiley i think you are nothing here too:) every people can think and if anybody intersted in my startup we can discuss in private:)
have a good day

And for both of them, they're the same topic name and first post description. And for both of them, you lack important details. (This should also be in long-term loans, which you won't get) If you're using the bitcoins for a startup, then you could at least provide details about it -- since you're providing the lender 30% [shares?] for the business.

in my country the bank loan very hard
if everybody need valid collatheral i have got 3 iphone and 2 ipad for escrow
What country are you from?

And 3 iPhones & 2 iPads doesn't come close to your request of 20 BTC.

I quoted every intelligent part of your reply.

Sometimes things need to be repeated over and over either to show it's importance or to show that many people have the same opinion and ideas about them

Wrong. There is no sense in repeating something that has already been said in a thread where a question is asked. When the question is answered, you should not answer it again.

In real life, do you do this? If a stranger is asking for directions from another person, do you tell them the same thing afterward? No.

if you think like you are right now then we should say why people breed while the world and the people in it are the same over and over in history?

How did you arrive at that conclusion, where people are the same? This statement has no merit because you are making an inconclusive assumption, "people are the same over and over in history" which has neither been stated by me or proven by you.

About signature spammers as you like to put it, I must say it's them the admins of those campaigns to blame because they want more posts than the community can provide subjects for

Why are you blaming the managers for the employees' work? Sure, shittier campaigns have a significant portion of fault lying with the managers - secondstrade for example - but the reality is that you can achieve the quota without spamming. It just takes more time, which a lot of account farmers are unwilling to do. And hence they spam.

You can say that there should be foresight for hiring the posters, though you still can't rely on the manager to deduce the skill of the employee perfectly, and there should not be complete blame directed towards them.

Vicarious liability exists in real life, but it seems a little stupid to blame not the spammer for spamming, but rather the one who pays the spammer (or doesn't, because they are not quality posts).

and when you can't find a right subject you'll be forced to repeat and submit useless posts

So you're telling me when you can't find anything you're forced to spam? You have to break rules to earn bitcoins? That doesn't make sense to me. Why join a campaign when you can't keep up the quota while still producing quality content? There are campaigns that offer lower post counts for a given time frame.

good thing though we have lots of sh*tcoins announcing every day otherwise trash would've choked us to death Cheesy

It already has.

Bonus post:

This is all impossible also my website can't worth 5 btc. since you mention that your website is made 2 months old so it means it is new and it is impossible that you are earnings $100 usd or more because its new.. even in organic traffic via seo you will just get small traffic..
Like my above post why you need to get loan since you are earnings $100 a weeks and why you need more traffic?
This question for me is hard to trust.
If you are doing affiliate marketing with your site better to stay and ask for your manager about early payout maybe they can give you early payout because i am also working in affiliate marketing and any advertising network..

It always brings a smile to me. Smiley

I aspire to pen prose like the above so that one day I, too, can contribute to very low value spam threads abused by farmers and sig spammers and get paid for it.

Can we talk about how individuals continue to add in "As ________ has already said previously, <repeats previous post entirely>"? Lots of "question" threads are plagued by this spam strategy, and Meta is haunted by it constantly [in the threads about ranks, avatars, and usernames].

Example 1: Change avatar?

I would even go as far to say that everything past reply #3 (maybe #4, though it is a little unnecessary) is completely worthless since it's just recycled information.

Example 2 (post): Change username

Step 1: agree with quote
Step 2: repeat what quote said

There's but two days left to join this giveaway!

I'm not a huge fan of the whole "all for one" giveaway idea, where only one person is given a prize. Every single person's chances of winning increase x times for every x prizes, so I'd be happier (and everyone else would be happier) if the prizes were split up into more places.

Say, 0.3, 0.15, 0.05?

Then provide ID. Unless of course you don't want to be paid $149?

Hello sir,

You are the owner of the website "http://bitslerbot.blogspot.fr/" who give a fake bot to steal the information of our players.

I just played some hours with you and already talked to the real owner of the account. (who gave me all the proofs)

Cheers  Grin

ur company is peace of shit! come bring ur whole company to me i will fuck them all in the ass

And what's with the sudden change of attitude? Calm down - you wouldn't shit talk someone that you're trying to get money back from, right? If I'm trying to withdraw money from the bank, I don't start saying the company is a piece of shit.

Also, I found this pretty funny:

/ from the blogspot website, it's a fake Facebook image. If anything at all is faked, then you know instantly there's a problem.
5019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting tips discord group. 15$ Entrance Fee. 90% wins. on: December 30, 2016, 12:30:01 AM
Hey, it's another crappy situation for both parties! (Catch-22, is it?)

Users will have no way to know whether the tipster is legitimate or not unless they pay the entrance fee and join the discord group, but once they join the discord group it's too late to back out if the tipster isn't legitimate.

You won't know if you're going to get scammed until you do.

Why doesn't the user offer some basic tips online just so we can establish that they're not either a) a scammer or b) an amateur that's spouting out random tips ?

After which they can close the thread and offer entrance to the discord server.
