5001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's name and Logo Registered in Spain. on: June 24, 2020, 02:39:36 AM
Is there not already an EU wide patent? https://trademarks.ipo.gov.uk/ipo-tmcase/page/Results/4/EU010103646 (apparently registered in Germany in 2011)...

I mean it's a step but I don't know if it'll stop people relating scams to the name...
And we also have this one: https://trademarks.ipo.gov.uk/ipo-tmcase/page/Results/1/UK00003279106 and https://trademarks.justia.com/861/35/bitcoin-86135516.html.

But in Russia, it was denied, http://www.rapsinews.ru/arbitration/20160321/275664290.html.

And we all know that Bitcoin's BTC logo can't be patented, if it is, then we might as well patented, Dollar or Yen.
5002  Economy / Economics / Re: The Covid19 Curve is Flattening on: June 24, 2020, 01:47:21 AM
A good test case will be South Korea, we initially had success fighting the spread of the virus because they quickly reacted and imposed strict quarantine and lockdown. But they decided to reopen, however, there are reports that the second wave has started.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-53135626

I guess it will be back to square one, and for sure economy will be hit hard if not harder than the first wave because people are going to be more scared to go out and afraid that they are going to be the next victims.

The question is this; what will happened to the global economy if there is a spike in the spread of covid19 again ?
5003  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scam elmanchez on: June 23, 2020, 12:59:25 PM
I stoped using telegram already 3 days.

ok, When I was made this post in this thread I received a pm in my telegram after 5-10 minutes of posting.

The telegram username is: @AceBig which is used here: http://loyce.club/archive/posts/5465/54657189.html by bitcointalk user: AceBig

So if you don't use telegram that means you did not pm me. Then the man who PMed me in telegram will be someone who Trust irfan_pak10 > http://loyce.club/trust/2020-06-20_Sat_05.04h/350580.html
or
Yaunfitda (It is not visible in loyce trust list viewer ) because if you see closely the first screenshot then you can see my green trust score is +4 But when you see my trust by default trust you will see it +3

Oh wait, I was surprised to see my name here, I don't have any prior knowledge of any persons involved here (PM or anything). It is not visible in Loyce trust viewer because I don't have any custom trust list.

So kindly remove my name in this conversation, Thanks.

Edit: I don't have any Telegram as well.
5004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pros and Cons Ethereum 2.0 on: June 23, 2020, 10:56:10 AM
I don't think that they will go out of business as well, they have ample time to adjust to the next mining model in ETH 2.0 so I'm sure majority of them are going to move as well with 32 ETH staking. And besides, if minority opted not to mine ETH then they have other options as well. It's not a death cross for miners, and I'm sure that if there are big incentives moving to POS functioning network, then they will do it, same as to what we have seen in bitcoin hash-rate post halving.

About miners going out of business is something we can't talk about presently, I don't know if POW will be erased entirely from ethereum blockchain, I've seen coins that has both POW and POS functioning on same network, all we can do is wait and see.
5005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overcoming Systematic Racism with Bitcoin on: June 23, 2020, 10:12:12 AM
Exactly, I don't see any connection whatsoever, not saying this is bad, but I think someone is really trying to take advantage of bitcoin and racism here.
I don't believe that Bitcoin and racism have anything to do with each other. They are completely separate topics, you are comparing apples and oranges.

It has been 155 years since the emancipation proclamation yet we still see racism happening. In the past weeks, we have seen protests all across the globe demanding justice for George Floyd.

The Black population is at a disadvantage, and we need to be asking ourselves, how do we level the playing field. How do we tear down the systematic oppression that plagues America? Bitcoin can play a role.
This has been the issue since the George Floyd incident, And again, the subject because the most hotly debated  topic even in this community. But being a crypto enthusiast, we shouldn't get ourselves involved here. I mean it's already 2020, we are all educated person and I'm sure majority here have responded in this subject already.
5006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev on: June 23, 2020, 09:52:56 AM
~
AJ for me is not the same fighter anymore when he lose to Ruiz, although he redeemed himself through a rematch but coaches of Pulev surely found some weakness of AJ that they will target in this fight. You are right, the odds does not always true as no one would really know if who will win, so as a bettor, let's bet on the fighter which we think his betting odds has a good value.
Anthony Joshua was too confident in the first Ruiz fight and he did not expected him to be a threat and he might have taken the fight lightly and paid the price but he fought brilliantly in the rematch and by that time Ruiz went down the road without proper training and enjoying the instant fame he gained and that might have a significant role and if i am going by that then the Kubrat Pulev fight would be a tough one.

Joshua will be the favorite but i am not expecting Pulev to be a heavy underdog.

That's your opinion but in sports book he is a heavy dog, here's the betting odds that was shared in the previous page.

See that odds? that's $1100 winning for a $100 bet if Pulev wins, that's how people look at this chances against Joshua.

This odds also certainly predicts that it is going to be the one sided match and winning chances of Pulev is not much . But I am sure people would be placing bets on him as well considering the odds and just if by chance he wins then people will make big money on bets of his winning .
Personally I would not skip that opportunity to win x10 of my bet, though Pulev is old and might be going to retirement if he lose in this fight, I'll give him a shot. I will just treat this bet like a parlay bet where odds are high and but chances are low, it doesn't matter actually, I'll go with my instinct.
That's what this match are, if you are willing to bet on Pulev and hope that he will win then it's going to be a good profit for you, windfall. But betting publics really know what's going to happen and sayin that Pulev won't pull an upset here. And nobody can stop you as well, good luck on your Pulev bet if the fight progressed in the next coming months.
5007  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID AND INDIAN ECONOMY on: June 23, 2020, 09:31:56 AM
How can people buy more goods and products while they have lost their jobs?

The solution lies in increasing government spending on projects and companies that employ a lot of workers by keeping them in their jobs and trying to pay part of their salaries.
This is the best solution, however, if government doesn't have enough money, then it will be very hard not just for India but for the rest of countries whose national budget have been depleted in the last three months.

It also has to give direct subsidies to those who have lost their jobs and thus more money that can encourage demand if markets open and commercial activity returns to Normal positioning.
This has been done by the government itself, but with billions of population, it is not sustainable.

The worst solution would be to print more money, but printing money is not as bad during a crisis.
But it could have a negative impact in the long run. They should open up their economy specially small to mid companies so that those who still have jobs can have purchasing power again and pump and stimulate some growth.
5008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Money Reimagined: Ethereum’s Renaissance Creates an Opportunity on: June 23, 2020, 08:50:56 AM
Yes, bitcoin is the true Defi.
And I'm sure there are argument that bitcoin BTC is the only "De-Fi", the original.

I would say that the article has some valid arguments, but it is half-baked. Bitcoin has evolved, it could be one of the best asset right now, but we forgot that it can still be used as sound money, although adoption is slow. I'm using it to pay today's bill as I don't want to get out and fall in line because of the risk of the virus. And for me, there will be always new idea in the future about how people are going to use cryptos and will really create a lot of opportunities. But the fundamentals will be the same.
5009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The impact blockchain could have on traditional gambling platforms on: June 22, 2020, 07:12:43 AM
I don't know if you all of you know but the gambling industry experienced massive growth during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. However, the current lottery model is severely outdated and it seems many users are switching to decentralized platforms in search of efficiency and
I agree, the online gambling industry (fiat/crypto based) made a splash silently in this pandemic because people are in lockdown and just enjoy playing at home.

As the global economy continues to deal with the economic fallout, companies are coming to terms with the fact that normalcy may not return for quite a while.  Many economists are wondering how the business landscape will look a year or more from now.  It’s certainly possible that many businesses, such as retailers and restaurants, may be unable to survive the current downturn.  But while some businesses will falter, others will emerge stronger than ever
We are going to see the real impact in the last quarter of this year and early 2021. If countries have recovered a little because most of them have eased their lock-down policy and business are re-opening in this new norm.

I think it's a blessed change, and I cant wait to see how it is going to transform the current system, however, im sure it will take a decent amount of time until people will be really able to adjust.

What do you think?
Yes, it will take some time to see what the impact, for sure, I'm expecting a positive effect.
5010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look before taking a leap on: June 22, 2020, 06:37:23 AM
Honestly I don't know what's wrong with new developers in crypto space, investors wants profits so badly but developers wants more, it's normal but without giving something in return is bad, the highest you gonna get is repetitive projects, I'm tired of this already
I echo your sentiments, but then again market is maturing, for better or worst.

Look at DeFi projects, they are the biggest new thing in Crypto space today, I haven't seen a failed DeFi project yet but guess what? Very soon we will start seeing too many DeFi projects, because that's what developers do..... Copycating over and over...
There are already a lot of Defi I guess, that is the biggest buzzword after Blockchain technology, and look at how many going in and out, billion of dollars already.

This is so alarming, must you create new projects with nothing new?? Oh! I guess you needed money that badly, I get, we all do, anyways, all I have to do is warn my fellow investors, look before you take a leap
Sadly, it is what it is, there are too many investors/developers/traders, everyone here is to make money. That is how crypto market is all about today.
5011  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake team - DIGITAL DOLLAR:THE DOLLAR OF THE FUTURE on: June 22, 2020, 02:50:21 AM
Additional Notes:All thier team is like that.  I notced that many crypto projects keep steling those photos.
It's because they think that they can get away with it, hiding their real identify and taking someone's photo from the internet. And these are obvious signs of scammers, and you can hear a lot of reasons from them when they are caught with this stock or stolen photos. But this will not end though, that's why we need to be vigilant and always research new projects because investing on them.
5012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "New Sport": Ultimate Tennis Showdown on: June 22, 2020, 02:31:41 AM

This type of matches will lead also for a rule change also in "classic" tennis?

No! But more of such games will be played in future. Take a simple example of cricket. Earlier, we used to have only test match and one day match. Now once IPL started, people loved the short excitement and adrenaline rush within the 20 overs match and it quickly became popular.
Yeah, it won't change the rule per se, but it might be adopted in some small tournament perhaps like the ATP 250. Or other small matches, and it will make more exciting to watch and it will really suit more players specially the young generations of ATP's.

Nowadays, test matches have become almost extinct but 20 over matches have become a new norm for cricket. Similar thing would happen in Tennis as well. Long matches will be pushed to extinction and short format matches will become a new norm!
Five hours grueling match for tennis is kinda boring, yes exciting, but most of the time, you really wanted to see the match concluded much early. And if my memory serves me right, there are fans who complain about matches going beyond the usual time, like finishes in 1 am.
5013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan Says Bitcoin Crash Survival Shows It Has Staying Power on: June 22, 2020, 02:08:40 AM
Last time was pessimistic then back to being optimistic.
It's obvious they are just using bitcoin for their own profit.
Maybe not the real bitcoin but just the word "bitcoin" since it is getting a lot of attention in this quarantine period.
It's because they can't really deny that bitcoin is really resilient. Remember the argument that it is not supposedly a hedge against pandemic and that bitcoin was an epic fail because it massively went on a downward spiral? But look at how the price bounce back, LOL. If they don't recognized it, those banker sare really stupid or still in denial phase.

They will keep on doing this as long as they get a lot of attention.
A good twisted strategy indeed.
Twist as much as they want to feed their narratives, but they can't refute the fact.
5014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is another type of fiat money according to the New York Fed on: June 20, 2020, 12:22:33 PM
It's just either one of both:

1. The writer is simply ignorant about this *or just utterly stupid* which I really doubt for a statistics economist and for a dude that works for the federal reserve.

2. He's just spreading negativity to fit the agenda of the entity he's working for. I'm betting that this is the case. If anything, the fed is disincentivized for people holding bitcoin.
I say number 2 will be likely the case here, they definitely have a agenda behind this statement and it's easy to understand where they are coming from. And probably this is the closest that they attack crypto, to the point that they have to compare it to fiat, LOL. So everyone should not be surprise.
5015  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Insure your Bitcoin with options on: June 20, 2020, 11:36:28 AM
For average crypto trader that is here it is better to simply buy/sell than buy/hedge. Why hedge if you can sell?
Exactly, I don't understand why people try to make things complicated, it just give you more pressures. Just a simply buy/sell will do for you.

I am not a fan when it comes to Option trading. I believe it is the worst way of trading and mostly would get you into trouble, so got to be extremely careful with our approach to these things. I am always very careful given I know the impact that it could have.

It could be the worst way to get rekt specially for beginners who don't understand who the market works specially it's volatility, I open up a thread here, a sad story, 20-Year-Old Robinhood Customer Dies By Suicide After Seeing A $730,000 Negative.
5016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Provocative Film About Satoshi Nakomoto Was Funded By Cryptocurrency on: June 20, 2020, 11:07:47 AM
Just read a bit and I did not like the idea. Why would they need some imaginary idea? It seems the goal is to embarrass Satoshi's creation and vision. They are saying the writer is a crypto enthusiast. If so then he must have wrong enthusiasm.
Maybe he was a crypto enthusiast, but not bitcoin maximalist. To be honest, I don't like this kind of imaginary idea or controversial movies. Oh wait, even Jesus Christ has a lot of movies of the same theme, this and that, blah blah.  But this movie doesn't add up anything though, consider this just like those fake claiming Satoshi wannabee. The man has keep himself hidden and this is just another conspiracies to the growing list on Satoshi Nakamoto.
5017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CoinGecko Most Searched Assets on: June 20, 2020, 10:25:23 AM
The top 10 most search coins looks solid to me so no surprised at all. But just the rest of you guys, small cap coins? I still remember that we have a thread about small cap coins, so there must be a good followers from this community, just maybe. Yes, perhaps the time is changing, as investors matures, there is a shift of sentiments. But I do agree that next month we might see some changes as well, specially down 20-40 lists.
5018  Other / Beginners & Help / Chrome extensions with 33 million downloads slurped sensitive user data on: June 20, 2020, 06:42:06 AM
Another reason why we shouldn't trust Google and Google’s Chrome Web Store.

We all know how 'poor' their services are, specially in the last couple of months wherein we saw tons of fake crypto related apps in web store. But this report should put Google in the limelight again as obviously, their services have been taken advantage of cyber criminals, regardless if it is state sponsored or just hacking groups milking crypto enthusiast.

Spying campaign tied to 15,000 malicious or suspicious domains uploaded data.

Browser extensions downloaded almost 33 million times from Google’s Chrome Web Store covertly downloaded highly sensitive user information, a security firm said on Thursday in a report that underscores lax security measures that continue to put Internet users at risk.

The extensions, which Google removed only after being privately notified of them, actively siphoned data such as screenshots, contents in device clipboards, browser cookies used to log in to websites, and keystrokes such as passwords, researchers from security firm Awake told me. Many of the extensions were modular, meaning once installed, they updated themselves with executable files, which in many cases were specific to the operating system they ran on. Awake provided additional details in this report.

Company researchers found that all 111 of the extensions it identified as malicious connected to Internet domains registered through Israel-based GalComm. The researchers eventually found more than 15,000 registered through GalComm hosting malicious or suspicious behavior. The malicious domains used a variety of evasion techniques to avoid being labeled as malicious by security products.

5019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 40+ crypto companies comes together for one solution on: June 19, 2020, 10:02:10 AM
In paper it really looks good just imagine those companies setting this difference aside (if there is any) to join force and work together for this one solution for crypto enthusiast. It just a matter of execution and who will make more money,  Grin, but really ambitious project.

This could really be a threat to the banking system so we need to wait what will be their response here. It seems that they are going to be obsolete, Lol. But for sure there could be other alliances as well that could rival this, anyhow, this could be a win-win situation for us in the long run.
5020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 19, 2020, 09:47:35 AM

Yeah, I agree.

1. Pacquiao vs Spence
2. Pacquaio vs Crawford

Manny is not calling GGG as far as I know, and the only boxer that I recall Manny calling is Floyd. And it's the other way around, boxers are calling Manny because of the sweepstakes, just like what Thurman got, biggest payday of his career.

And calling GGG is the brainchild of Roach, similar to when they call Oscar back then. Manny just say yes as a boxer.

The chance of fighting Manny is a good stepping stone to every boxers who still seeking for more stardom, Manny's charmed from this
boxing world already established whoever he fight it will bring good reflection to the fighter.
Win or lose the fighter will have a good share both money and fame.

Manny will fight as he's still active and he wanted to continue his legacy,.

That's the thing we have to wait and see, if this fight happen, it should be the best fight of Manny after the Manny vs Mayweather fight, probably the biggest fight of GGG too, that would give him a good payday, the hype is rising, so people really wanting this to realize too.

I think we are overrating this possible fight.

Manny has a lot of best fights and I don't think Manny vs. Mayweather is the top of it. I think if we will be talking about the most earned fight of his, I guess I will be taking it. There is a lot of fights that we can tell that can be the best, and in my opinion, I would go with Manny's fight and Miguels Cotto. There are articles that say that Dela Hoya Vs. Pacquiao is great but I think his fight with Cotto is also amazing.
They are talking about the revenues generated and Manny vs Mayweather sets the record and its going to be very difficult to break, PPV and live gate buys. But in terms of Manny's performance, I would say that vs Cotto is one of his best, specially the first 3 rounds and it is comparable to the great fight of Hagler vs Hearns.
