5021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: March 12, 2020, 03:30:42 AM
I'm waiting for the day when exchange(s) will provide pair against gold, imo it's much better than usd pairs.
.. but if there was a possibility of exchange for real gold, it would be even better.

That defeats the purpose of stablecoin, and it has many more problems that comes with it (delivery, taxes, regulations,..)

5024  Other / Meta / Re: Top sections to get merits. on: March 10, 2020, 05:54:40 AM
You should post in board that you are familiar with instead of forcing yourself to post in hope for merits (forcing yourself just makes your post quality worse). Anyway, the local boards are best, most local boards have merit sources and decent quality posts usually get merits.
5025  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos and April fools, 2020 preempt on: March 10, 2020, 05:47:45 AM

I have suggestion, can you also add replies to original thread show up in bot?
5027  Other / Meta / Why not completely invisible ignored users posts instead of.. on: March 08, 2020, 04:37:07 AM
Saying, 'this user is currently ignored'.
5028  Local / India / Re: [Video] SC Judgement analysis on: March 08, 2020, 04:34:47 AM
I'm a newbie from Bihar and am still thinking of starting mining using a Bitmain S17, any suggestions???
I'm also quite intrigued by the SC Verdict, waiting for other's replies...

The electricity rate here is Rs.6.51 per unit so will it be feasible to start mining here using an S17 Unit??

Hi, please make your new thread using 'new topic' button.

No response? I am quite surprised
5030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is best coin for stacking? on: March 07, 2020, 06:39:46 AM

I don't know which coin is supported by the Uniswap or Paraswap but recently Bancor has made a partnership with the JRT coin which I have staked Paraswap, you are right I am getting a daily reward from the Paraswap. I am very much comfortable with the para swap compared to Uniswap because I don't much knowledge about the Uniswap.

Uniswap is much like etherdelta/forkdelta dex, you can trade/add liquidity by using the token's contract address irrespective of they are officially listed or not.

Paraswap aggregates all dexes and shows you best price.
5031  Local / India / [Video] SC Judgement analysis on: March 06, 2020, 03:28:01 PM
We all are rejoicing on crypto verdict but it is not as it appears to be, the one thing alarming is verdict covers the crypto businesses while if you are an individual trading in cryptocurrency you can't show them SC's verdict, and banks can still freeze your account.

Your thoughts?
5032  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Any recourse for this frozen account? on: March 06, 2020, 04:01:09 AM
It if it's not much money I'd suggest to avoid kyc, hitbtc is shady as hell and personal data should always come first.

There is no guarantee that they will unfreeze your funds on kyc, since you violated their TOS, they already have upper hand over you.
5033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Did Binance just help Justin Sun take over the Steem network? on: March 05, 2020, 03:40:56 PM
I think there is no use dragging binance into this controversy as it is simply Justin Sun taking over steem and there has been some resistance from steem community against it but i think that if he has rightfully purchased the majority shares then he has all the rights to the platform and all these things should be resolved in a good manner between the two parties.

Why not? The user deposited funds on binance were used to vote for witnesses. It's not ethical thing to do.

Steemit users don't want steem to become another tron based token, hence majority are against it.

I am actually wondering why alot of peeps are against tron take over, but it is what it is.
To ME, what matters is the existence of steemit as one of the best blog pages for crypto currency blogs.

The steemit interface has improved, with new features needing you to subscribe to channels too.
But why are majority against it ?

Steem is a blockchain with already many dapps thriving over it, making steem another tron token will make all dapps die. Steemit was sold, not Steem.
5034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think, India lifting the ban on cryptocurrencies will impact BTC Price? on: March 05, 2020, 03:16:24 AM
It would (and already did) affect the premium on crypto prices in India however no effect on global markets, neither there was any effect when ban came in place.
5035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can porn sites make bitcoin more popular or will it brings negative effects? on: March 05, 2020, 03:14:05 AM
Any publicity is good publicity but I doubt Bitcoin needs that, verge is already accepted on pornhub, and if people use verge I am sure they would be aware of BTC as well.
5036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Campaigns in the Altcoin sections to join. Dont waste your time with others on: March 04, 2020, 05:17:12 AM
Gold stable is the only bounty that is paying months ago until now and the others are still no assurance unless in escrow like Geomadao but although its  escrowed we cannot really assume that the price of each token will be valuable soon upon listing on exchanges the risk is always there other bounty listed in OP I think they are all legit but the reward is really small btw I have joined in one bounty campaign before but unfortunately just ended last month and its really paying huge reward and I wonder why so small number participants joined imagine one participant can earn $1k in 2 weeks but like I said its already finished as of now no reason mentioning it here now  Grin.

Do mention, may be I could learn a thing on how to spot a good bounty lol. $1k in two weeks is hella impressive.

5038  Other / Meta / Re: [Bot] PM messages about mentions on: March 03, 2020, 03:30:54 AM
Thanks for this tool. It's very useful to have it as PM and I appreciate your work. I'm currently subscribed to a service that allows receiving notifications for merits and quotes but the issue with it is that these notifications simply go away once you click them. Maybe the OP bot could be upgraded to also have the option of notifying for thread responses and merits? Then it'd be a catch all service.

Use this telegram bot, it keeps track of mentions/quotes/merits, Ann: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5209107.0

Also, regarding concerns users have had here, I think we should be appreciative of OP's efforts to create something useful. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. There's no direct harm that can come from being in the receiving end of a PM. As of having your IP grabbed from a website, I'd agree that it's a possibility but there isn't much that can be done with that alone. I wouldn't associate malice to that simply because of the username.

I sort of agree, literally every single website keeps track of your IP, you should stop using Internet if you want to get rid of it lol (or use vpn, most free ones are garbage tho and may do more harm than good). You are not entering any sensitive information either.
5039  Other / Meta / Re: #meritislife: how to be notified on a smartband of merits and mentions on: March 03, 2020, 03:16:36 AM
Am I the only one who's concerned if a large corporation wants to tell me I sleep better than 93% of the people? Or how my heart rate is doing during sex workouts? Especially as a Bitcoin user, you should really care more about privacy.

That being said, notifications via e-mail is probably safer.

We don't have merit/mention notifications to email yet, most people have mobile phones anyway so just use the telegram bot on your mobile.
5040  Other / Meta / Re: How much time a day do you dedicate to Bitcointalk? on: March 02, 2020, 05:45:46 AM
May be 10 minutes or so daily, when bounty expires, I might give more time to find new one.

I am dead honest here, please don't mind that I use these forum only for bounties.  Grin
