5021  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Dice Guide real life investment comparison: Peerbet now best investment! on: April 17, 2015, 04:30:33 PM
Updated the figures

http://www.bitcoin-dice-guide.com/dice-investment-comparison/

PRC now pay them-self 0.25% of turnover commission from the bank no matter if investors profit or loss. If investors have a loosing month to bettors they will then lose even more by paying PRC commission on turnover. Where as most sites only take a commission from their investors when they win.

PRC did announce that well in advance and clearly said they were not looking for more investments, as the max bet is already too high.
So yeah, the fee seems pretty high, but if anyone is not happy with it he could divest/withdraw before 1 April.

Also the 0.75% investors edge is 0.15% less than the standard 0.9% so you can expect to make less per bank turnover on PRC than other places but if PRCs bank turns over more often than other places that would make up for it.

...

And that's probably why there was no massive escape of investment.

Got the tickets in each of the three pools. Sadly only 1 in black jack, guess that's the hardest one, especially when luck is not on your side.

Good luck to all!

Bitcoin Foundation founder Gavin Andresen: Mark Karpeles and Charlie Shrem a disgrace to the cryptocurrency industry

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/bitcoin-foundation-founder-gavin-andresen-mark-karpeles-charlie-shrem-disgrace-cryptocurrency-1496583

Quote
The chief scientist of the Bitcoin Foundation and one of the organisation's founding members, Gavin Andresen, has spoken out about fellow founding members Charlie Shrem and Mark Karpeles, calling their actions "a huge black eye" to the foundation and the cryptocurrency industry.

Gavin Andresen formed the Bitcoin Foundation with Karpeles, Shrem, and three others in 2012 and it soon became the leading advocacy organisation for bitcoin.

In early 2014 Karpeles was forced to resign from the non-profit organisation after overseeing the collapse of the world's largest bitcoin exchange MtGox, which resulted in the loss of millions of dollars worth of customers' bitcoins.

At around the same time, Shrem was indicted on accusations of money laundering in relation to the online black marketplace Silk Road. He is currently serving a two year sentence after pleading guilty to the charges.

Speaking to IBTimes UK at DevCore London, Andresen revealed that the damage caused by the pair resulted in discussions with government regulators being terminated and many of the foundation's projects being cancelled.

Establishing Trust In The Bitcoin Ecosystem

It’s unfortunate but true that while entrepreneurs and venture capitalists have been focused on the technology, the media and therefore the public has been focused on the bad actors building criminal or negligent enterprises on top of that same technology. We’ve all see the headlines:

“The Inside Story of Mt. Gox, Bitcoin’s $460 million disaster” (Wired, March 3, 2014); “Texas Man Charged with Running Bitcoin Ponzi Scheme” (Wall Street Journal, November 6, 2014); “Ross Ulbricht Convicted of Running Silk Road as Dread Pirate Roberts” (Bloomberg, February 4, 2015); “2 Former Federal Agents Charged with Stealing Bitcoin during Silk Road Probe” (CNN.com, March 30, 2015); “Board Member Olivier Janssens Leaking Damning Facts about Bitcoin Foundation” (CoinTelegraph, April 5, 2015).

Headlines with words like “disaster,” “ponzi,” “pirate,” “stealing” and “damning” don’t particularly make bitcoin something you want to introduce to your mother.

Also, you didn't answer my question:
Quote
What/who is stopping you from becoming influential/valuable dev?

probably because there are so many questions in this thread (well including people answering a question with a question).
...

Not really, I don't think there are that many questions in this thread.
You seem to be very selective in your replies and haven't address most of the things from my last 2 posts.

...
anyways whats stoping me becoming an influential/valuable dev, if you mean in bitcoin; lack of faith in bitcoin. not from the first day i used bitcoin  (many years ago) have considered it even remotely likely to ever become a useful alternative to fiat.

as for dev of something i see promising in the future, be happy too.

That's not what I meant.

You call Bitcoin centralised because of "only 5 core devs", while there's absolutely nothing stopping you from being the dev yourself. You don't need anyone's permission. If you have knowledge/skills and can use arguments to convince others to your ideas you could have more influence then those 5.

As for now, you sound like complaining about 'water being too wet'.

It would be great if anyone who used any of those services could give a feedback and share their experience.

My counter reseted, which should mean that I should have gotten paid. I didn't even receive a PM from AutoSigBot so I was sensing that something was wrong. Now I try to log-in to bit-x and it doesn't even send a confirmation to my phone after 10 minutes. What's happening?

I also received no PM, but payment got through OK.
5029  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinPoker.gg - High Stakes. High Rewards - Secure Bitcoin Poker on: April 15, 2015, 09:06:32 PM
Hey everyone,

What buy-in tournaments would you like to see today/tonight?

Just an update. We are still working with our developer to get "micro" tournaments/ring games setup.

I'd like to see GTD tournament, you can start it with low prize like 25-100Chip GTD tournament.
I've visited you site several times today, but I did not find other online players even 1..

No free-rolls, no players.

@BitcoinPoker.gg
If you want your site to succeed, you need to be prepared to operate at loss for the first few months and you can't save on promotion and freerolls. You won't make it without it.
5030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something big for Bitcoin coming April 15th on: April 15, 2015, 08:25:06 PM
I know you've heard it before from other people trolling for attention when they don't really have anything. But I'm NOt TROLLING.

There will be something big on April 15th, I'm sure most people get the significance of that date.

Until then...

Well I think there isn't an event that's going to happen today. I've been reading this thread for a month now and I'm actually entertained by the guesses of users here. Oh, I forgot that we still have ~4 hours before the date turns to April 16th. Seriously, do you guys think that there will be an event at the time of this day? I don't think so. Not sure if trolling or hacked. Huh

I don't think he was trolling intentionally. If he was, he would be bumping this thread to create more hype.

Personally, I think he had some sort of info or prediction which he believed was true, but it just didn't work.

Thats tomorrow, not today
We are talking ablut April the 15. I cant see something happening here... OP is legendary, actually, what a shame

He is going to lose his reputation big time!

Look out for 'legendary account for sale' auction thread tomorrow  Smiley

Do we know it is Elwar? Maybe the account was sold or stolen? Elwar has not been a troll here before.

Unlikely. No one would buy an account to be inactive for months. And if it was stolen, he would have enough time to report it or claim it back through signed message.
5032  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to admit bitcoin is a failure ! on: April 15, 2015, 07:31:20 PM

The price hasn't gone up for 16 months, the only way it goes is down down lower

Then what the hell are you waiting for? Get a massive loan in bitcoins, sell them, wait for the price to go further down, buy back and repay the loan and enjoy the profit.

That's why the price drops so hard, most bag holders are dumping, is this too difficult for you to understand?

Reading comprehension issues?

Are you? op is clearly telling you that most of bag holders are dumping, understand? no one is waiting for another bubble, most are dumping. loan or not, future swaps or exchanges are all dumping.

That's how you get here at $200 and then $100 and then $30 and then $1 etc..

Now you're referring to yourself in 3-rd person? Dafaq is wrong with you boy?

Take a deep breath and read what I wrote slowly word-by-word, or do you need to draw you a pictures?

Lol, yeah he could use it as an excuse, but he posted today and left no doubts that today is the day.

There's still some time till midnight.

C'mon Elwar, don't let us down. Let's see that pump.

Perhaps, but i already sold.

You've sold on dip, just because someone said there's going to be "something big for bitcoin" today?

You seriously need to re-think how you make your financial decisions

He's just trolling I guess.

Yeah, you're right, just checked his latest posts.

Its my thoughts and perception on the market, im not trolling..

You didn't really present any thoughts or expressed any opinions, did you?

This micronation seems more advanced (they even have their own football association):

They could declare Bitcoin as official currency, it would be a good move and will suit their image. Or at least accept BTC in their online store:

It is 15th of April in majority of timezones now. The only difference is the price dropped to around $220, from $250 few days ago. Not a big drop in the bitcoin history.
As predicted, "something" would happen (something that could have happened at any other given day) and people would automatically link it to that, in this case, a shitty dump of 30 dollars. OP dissapeared for a reason, and that's to not admit nothing would happen, after nothing happens.

40 minutes untill crash Undecided

As the title says "Something big for Bitcoin coming April 15th" so it is not sure that it will happen something of good, it may be happen something of bad... who knows?

OP definitely meant something good (that will drive the price up):

Fill your cold storage wallets with bitcoins now while the price is cheap.
