5021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indonesia, the second largest crypto adopter without legality. on: November 03, 2018, 02:04:40 PM
-snip-
Their reason is that bitcoin is the safest and most profitable investment product.
And this is where they are going wrong. First of all, bitcoin is not the safest option to invest your hard money on. At least if you are thinking of short term investment. The price fluctuation is very high and the price might skyrocket or get dumped without any prior notice. And they are using bitcoin just to make profit. They will cash out and go back to fiat once their profit goal is reached. So this means that they have not adopted it usage, they are just using it as a form of asset storage.
5022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to promote an ICO on Facebook? on: November 03, 2018, 01:53:20 PM
Programs are very different, but the most profitable is probably not Facebook, because FB is very serious about what is called advertising today, I’d probably be guided by other social networks. I would also focus on BTT and subscription campaigns.
Bitcointalk is just a forum where people who are interested in crypto coins join. This, thus limits the promotion between crypto enthusiast and other normal users will not be able to get to know about the projects. But, facebook is used globally by all kinds of people. Thus, advertising on facebook will get the presence of the project to more audience. And facebook did lift up their bans regarding crypto currencies. So people are free to advertise what they want.
5023  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the odds that the government/banks will truly create their own coin? on: November 03, 2018, 08:16:58 AM
We've all seen this phrase before: that the government and/or banks will more likely to create their own cryptocurrency, but what are the odds that they really will? How can we be sure that these two sectors will create their own coins eventually and will it even change the game if they do? If they did, will it not threaten bitcoins and altcoins because the common people who haven't heard of bitcoin before might choose to use these bank/government-created coins instead? Do we really need more coins?
I hope they don't. Even if they do, we shouldn't consider them as crypto currencies. Those coins we be under full control of the government. Thus they will be totally centralized. Why would we need centralized coins when we already have fiat currency? Those government created coins would just be scheme to deviate people from adopting the true form of crypto currencies.
5024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think only the rich can make profit from Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2018, 08:14:29 AM
A few people thought that Bitcoin investment is intended for just the rich to make the additional rich. That isn't true. Bitcoin can be utilized by either the rich or poor to make benefit. It requires smartness, patience, and less greediness both make a good profit from Bitcoin.
Here is the problem why bitcoin and other crypto currencies are struggling to develop. People are just investing on crypto currencies thinking that it is a get rich quick scheme. Bitcoin was made to be used as a regular currency without any kind of regulation. Now if people uses it as a day to day currency instead of using it as a form of storing asset, we maybe able to see its true potential. And bitcoin is for everyone, not just for the rich people.
5025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will banks disappear because of cryptocurrency? on: November 02, 2018, 09:42:24 PM
No banks will not disappear but they will embrace the technology. Banks will make use of crypto to make more profits and safe itself some cost. It will be unwise of banks to throw off crypto. We can now see banks using xrp to make transactions and to save remittance cost. Blockchain will transform every financial part of our society.
As my friend always say crypto will do to banks what email did to post office.

It would be a really bad idea if banks integrates with these technology. Banks and bitcoins/crypto-currencies does not go with each other and there is no way they can work together. Crypto currencies are meant to be decentralized. If banks get involved in this case, then the technology will no longer be decentralized since there will be control of the bank making the coins become some what centralized system. Better banks stay away and do not involve themselves with crypto currencies.
5026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people/users are afraid to invest in Crypto? on: November 02, 2018, 09:40:11 PM
Lots of people are afraid to invest in crypto currency because lots of problematic questions they see for the last period of time. People are afraid of losses and that is why they try to wait a lot in order to see how the process is going on and how others trade, sell and so on before to invest. After that when they see the more positive sides than negative they start to invest. And lots of people do not have enough  financial level to invest, very often people even do not try to learn something sbout crypto because have not good experience in their past lives with some pyramids and thinj that crypto is something alike.
Those problematic questions arise because FUDs are spread through the community and people who has no prior knowledge about the technology and crypto currencies tend to believe these news. The media plays a vital role in this case. They try to spread those negative news as much as possible, but never the ones the are positive. The main reason is the control of media by the government. Thus people hear these news and ends up being in a loop of doubts.
5027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: why bounty program ended? on: November 02, 2018, 09:13:11 PM
Hello guys i want to know about why bounty campaign is ended? I have seen last couple of months there is no new bounty campaign is coming.
What is the reason behind this?
Not sure what do you mean. I guess you are asking why the bounty program comes to an end after certain period of time? This is because there are some specific timeline for the project. They set few weeks of the timeline to promote their project through bounty campaigns. They also have a cap on how much coins to distribute through out the campaign. Once the cap is reached, the bounty comes to an end.
5028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jobless No More on: November 02, 2018, 08:51:30 PM
I don't think one can actually live off from the money earned from air drops or faucets or bounty campaigns. It is actually not a reliable source at all. You don't know how successful the program will be. If the project fails, then the price of the tokens will get dumped and thus you will be left with nothing to survive. It is better to get a full time real job instead. Keep earnings from here as a part time job which you do just as a hobby.
5029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Greedy Bounty Managers on: November 02, 2018, 08:49:06 PM
I don't think it is up to the bounty campaign managers who decide what the rewards will be. It depends on the person that hired the bounty manager. So it is not their fault. But if you do see that the bounty manager is abusing his position like deliberately denying to give your rewards without any reason, allowing his alt accounts to join the program etc, then you should let others know and the bounty manager will be taken care of. Also, let the people who are involve in the project know.
5030  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading or other business what do you choose? on: November 02, 2018, 08:36:11 PM
In the current digital era, many people are starting to trading Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency because they think Bitcoin trading is profitable from other businesses. Some people again say that business is more profitable than Bitcoin trading.
Those two are whole different things. The problem here is, you guys  think that bitcoin trading is a "get rich quick" scheme and when you lose, you guys start whining around. Crypto currency trading has a lot of risks and no guarantee of making any kind of profit in the future. The market can get you by surprise and you will not have enough time to prepare yourself. On other hand, business also has risks, but those risks can be controlled and minimized by taking precautionary steps. Again, you can analyse your business and make an estimation about what is going to happen in the future.
5031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 1000$. Where to invest? on: November 02, 2018, 08:23:46 PM
Yeah, as if the best thing to do is ask for financial advise from random strangers over here. Why ask people over here? You will most likely get all biased answers. People will tend to lure you to the coins they have invested even if those coins are shit coins. The best thing to do is to do your own analysis and research to find coins that have potential. Then invest on those coins and see what happens. Keep yourself prepared for any kind of instant actions you will have to take.
5032  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Journey from gambling to trading on: November 02, 2018, 08:09:06 PM
Just because you lost everything while trading does not make it gambling. You are right, you shouldn't have jumped into trading from the very beginning without knowing anything about the market. But this does not mean that you will not trade at all unless you have learned everything. You should actually try investing small amount of money into trading and learn from the mistakes you will be making. In fact you will be getting experience while learning.
5033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warnings for token hodlers on: November 02, 2018, 06:24:35 PM
Since you know what is going to happen, I assume you are well prepared. You will be making a huge profit out the event I guess. People can even take advantage of it. They can start selling their tokens, when they see the pumping point has reached it peak level. Once the dumping starts, they can buy back their tokens and be happy with the profits.
That was sarcasm though. You never know what might happen. Its all up to you and your intuition to either hold it or sell it. Sometimes its better to listen to yourself. You might be making the right choice.
5034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Influence of Bounty Participants on: November 02, 2018, 06:17:38 PM
Their participation does actually have some kind of affect. Participating in their bounty program means they are helping the project in various ways. They are making things easier for the developers by helping them promote the project. But I think restricting or allowing more users will have both its downside or upside. Restricting users will cause the project to be less noticed by the people. On other hand, allowing many users means giving out more tokens for free which might cause the price to fall when dumped.
5035  Economy / Economics / Re: Please, we should not totally eliminate fiat currency on: November 02, 2018, 06:12:59 PM
I don't think it will actually replace fiat. It is something that might not happen because cryptocurrency is also dependent or is affected by fiat in terms of marketability. The main reason why people would want to invest in cryptocurrency is because they would want to earn money or fiat, that is why there are exchanges facilitating conversion between the two otherwise exchanges wouldn't care about fiat to cryptocurrency conversion and instead would focus on crypto to crypto conversion.
You are wrong here. Crypto currencies are no way dependent on fiat or its value. Fiat is just used relatively to measure the value of crypto currencies. If fiat ceases to exist, this does not mean the bitcoin or other crypto currencies will be destroyed. In fact, we might be getting into better terms of usage of bitcoin. That is people will start setting prices of goods and services using bitcoin. What I mean is, the way they set their price of an item using USD. Just think the other way, how to people set the price of items in US dollars when they the USD itself is not backed my anything?
5036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: It's time to sell on: November 01, 2018, 07:31:09 PM
I'm not spreading FUD and everyone is free to do whatever he wants. After all, it's your money.

What I'm suggesting here is to take all the tokens and coins you're holding and start reading the whitepaper, check the roadmap, see the team behind that project and how active the developers are is by looking at the GitHub repository. If it's not looking that good, don't think twice, just go and sell regardless of initial buy price because you'll be cutting your losses this way.

I understand that saying "hodl" is nice etc but you should use your brain and don't be blinded by the idea that every useless out there will go to the moon. Only a few are worth investing in so instead of holding random coins, you may want to target something that has been here for a long time and still doing well such as ETH, BTC.
This is quite obvious. Why would someone be willing to hold some shit coins or tokens? That would be useless and just a waste. You are actually better off selling them to avoid further huge losses. You shouldn't even invest on those coins in the first place. You should be analyzing those coins/token before even investing on it.
5037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Inactive dead coins awareness on: November 01, 2018, 03:10:41 AM
If a coin is already dead or "inactive", then the coin will probably have no value at all. So people might not actually invest on those coins just looking at the chart and the trade volume. If a newbie does that, then it is his/her fault since he/she did not analyze the market first before investing on those coins. At least he will learn from those mistakes.
5038  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be a newbie trader. I avoided losing money. how? on: October 31, 2018, 08:25:28 PM
It is essential that you spend some time firstly learning more about trading cryptocurrencies, and getting good knowledge about its skills. This field isn't totally safe, and it is involving a high level of risk, especially if you can't choose the right coins, or you can't analyze the market and the charts.
Just learning won't help from the internet or other sources won't help. You will need to enter the market and gather some experience too, be it from losing everything. I am not saying that you should be investing huge amount as a beginner, but invest at least a little amount so that you can learn from your mistakes if you make any.
5039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you learn about new altcoins? on: October 31, 2018, 06:36:21 PM
The best way is actually using this forum. Read their announcement thread. Go through their website. Go through each developers profile (LinkedIn) and you will get to know the team better. See how committed they are. Check if the coins are some clones of other or not. See what people have to say over here. Getting to know about the coins through some articles will actually mislead you (since most of them might be paid, so they tend to be biased).
5040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should We Diversify Our Investments? on: October 31, 2018, 06:26:36 PM
Common wisdom for new investors is always of the 'don't put all your eggs in one basket' type. Don't invest all your investment capital in one company. Diversify so that at least if  one investment fails, the other will carry you through. Is there a similar type of advice for crypto currency investors? Is it better to concentrate on investment in just one crypto currency? Or should we diversify? I would love to know what others have to say about this.
Its actually similar, but there is a bit of difference. You will be risking more when you invest on one coin, but you will be making more profit or more loss (!). Higher risk = Higher profit. But, if you wish to stay on the safe zone, spread out your investment on some stable popular coins and others on some new coins. This way, if the new coins do get a bad turn, you can keep yourself covered through your popular coin. Less profit though.
