Unfortunately, AS Roma almost have no big motivations to win and get anything in Serie A. They are currently in the middle of table and almost can not get the fourth position on the table.
Roma in the 7th position.. They were in the 3rd position at some point but it seems hard for them to keep their form. Overall a draw against Atalanta isn't bad, yet trying to grab a spot for EL at least will be pretty much a dream this season.

Well losing points is highly possible and their game with Wolfsburg will determine most likely if they will be able to reach CL or not, since Wolfsburg will have also hard games coming while Frankfurt games are easier. tl;dr Dortmund or Wolfsburg for CL since the 3rd spot is most likely for Frankfurt. |

The Verona vs Fiorentina match ended with a Fiorentina win, and this surprised me quite a bit.
Don't be so surprised! Sometimes the result of the match is unpredictable. By the way, Fiorentina isn't a small or weak team. They are actually stronger than Verona. Even, they have some famous players there. So, it is very possible if they win against Verona. They just couldn't play solidly in the last few matches. They need to play more solid and effective if they want to win consistently. Fiorentina and Verona were dropping points badly in their last games. Such games are quite risky. Right now Milan is leading with 1 goal vs Sassuolo /half time/. Odds are 1.3 for Inter and 11 for Sassuolo, wonder know how it was before the game start. Inter and Juve games will start in less than an hour and a half with ridiculous odds.. I have the feeling that one of these teams will drop some points! |

According to the news 9 out of the 12 teams who joined the ESL have withdrawn from the league leaving only Barcelona, Juventus, and Real Madrid still part of the team. I'm guessing that they realized with all the negative press they are getting as well as their own fans being angry about it they won't be gaining any kind of revenue if nobody will be watching and supporting their games. Since from the start they have a lose-lose situation here without any kind of notice and a totally opposite direction from the football we love this is something that these clubs can't be handling. Without the support of German and French top teams, this version of ESL wouldn't stay for a long time as predicted by some people before. I still think that ESL should take place but not like the way those teams would to implement... It has to be more equitable and every team has the right to collect more money. My 2 cents in this topic. |

However, Koln want to get out of the relegation zone, they are only 3 points behind Hertha Berlin, 4 points from Arminia Bielefeld and 5 points from Mainz.
At the end of the season there are many matches that determine everything.
Leipzig lost the first place earlier this season, missed so many opportunities to run alone while Bayern was losing badly. This team doesn't seem mature enough to grab the title yet. This game tonight Chelsea on best performance, the won to final FA cup and going to the semifinal on champions league either. while Brighton still fighting too far away from the degradation zone. head to head, Chelsea obviously better than Brighton, 3 won and 2 draw. Chelsea will be turning a full team maybe, cause only Christensen and Kovacic were injured. 3-0 for Chelsea.
This round, Spurs, Arsenal, West Ham and Liverpool failed to get 3 points. Will Chelsea fail too? Odds aren't interesting with 1.6 for Chelsea and 6 for Brighton. BTTS isn't guaranteed but odds wasn't bad @2.2 I believe Chelsea will win this match and grab the 3rd spot, at least temporarily. |

Losing several players made it difficult for ZIDANE to choose which players to play in the first minute, Even though there are some core players who are still fit, but rotation must be done due to fatigue. The draw in last night's match was a very painful blow to Real Madrid. because they failed to keep their distance from the atletico who were ranked first.
Loss of some key players, plus fatigue from the fixture congestion, yes... that's why they dropped the points. And they have the Chelsea games coming up, too, which won't help. Atletico are back in the driving seat now. Perhaps their match next month vs Barcelona will prove crucial... but maybe not, it's shaping up to go right to the end of the season, i think. Personally I hope Atletico hold on, they deserve it based on their early season form  I also want ATM to win the title this season, they deserve it and yesterday gift from Real Madrid wasn't expected at all. Not a surprise to me after his failure to keep Spurs in Europa and have been performing bad in PL as well. Nothing is working out for them and change was needed. Wonder next likely candidates for the job. That's weird. Spurs are doing badly from a while. They were the top team then dropped to reach the 7th spot right now. I would understand the team sacking him weeks ago but now?? What left for them to win? The fight for CL is almost impossible and EL seems to be a hard thing to achieve.
