I expect this to play out over years or decades.

I agree. Most of the institutions that oppress us do so with our cooperation. You don't need to be a dick about it, just choose to not participate.
5026  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Cannot scan QR code. on: July 15, 2014, 07:10:28 PM
As I understand it, there are over a half dozen different QR formats. Perhaps the one you are trying to read is in a format that your software doesn't understand?

Just a thought...

Do any of you with American Enemy Obama bumper stickers on your cars expect Americans, those of us with Emergency Medical Training to actually stop at any car wreck in which you may be involved?

Just curious!
I expect that. WTF kind of EMT decides to uphold their duty to respond based on bumper stickers? And if you are identified as a licensed responder it may be a crime to not render aid.

Im looking for an accuracy international long action stock
If someone has a pair of these I get the second one!  Cheesy  for a Remington 700 in .308

I am also interested in a Kahr P380, preferably with tritium sights. My stainless Kahr K9 is a little too big for summer carry.

just FYI the 308 is short action
Oh, my bad.i see now you want a long action.
5029  Other / Archival / Re: [help] how to get 1 btc in 1 week on: July 14, 2014, 06:55:03 PM
Another way to ask your question is how can I get 460 Euro by next week? Well, you can buy them with dollars or sell something or work for money. It's money. So forget about the bitcoin part. How do you get money now?
5030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HELP CRASH BITCOIN on: July 14, 2014, 05:45:51 PM
Come on guys, let's get together and work against our own interests!  Cheesy

But seriously, who would ever thought bitcoin was going to end the fed and fix the wealth gap? You have been reading to much infowars crap. Bitcoin is money, that's all. If you failed to accumulate any wealth in dollars then it's not a good sign of your chances with bitcoin.
As far as your chances of "?crashing?" the network... Well, might you want to try crashing the U.S. dollar instead. It looks a lot weaker these days.
5031  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you own a firearm? on: July 14, 2014, 05:24:23 PM
I think some of the misunderstanding about guns comes from where you grew up in America. Outside of the cities gun ownership is extremely common. As a kid I seriously did not know anyone who did not own a gun. When I moved to a city later on I had no neighbors who owned a gun. Most of them were very intimidated by the thought of guns. They related them to violence, which makes sense. The only time they heard about guns is when there was a shooting of a person.

People who know about guns relate them to good times with friends. They relate them to competition and personal challenge. For example, this weekend I was a target puller at the state PALMA and F class shooting championship. It was about as violent as a round of golf.

The problem is that those people who know nothing about guns want to address their problems of violence by making rules for people who have nothing to do with the problem. I fail to see how another rule is the solution for gun violence in a place like Chicago. Criminals do not obey rules. That means that gun control laws only further disadvantage law abiding citizens by leaving them unarmed.

Gun control is to the left what abortion is to the right. An emotional issue about those who want to make rules for other people to obey. An effort to control the perceived misbehavior of people and force them to accept your beliefs.

5037  Economy / Economics / Re: The one law that would bring peace during an Economic Collapse on: July 10, 2014, 03:13:01 PM
Good luck telling Americans they can't buy more land. I think it would bring a revolt, not peace. And think about what would happen to real estate prices if you could only buy one place.
Congrats, the home you bought last year for $200K is now worth $50K because too many buyers already have a home.  Sad
5038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Elites at Coinsummit on: July 10, 2014, 02:55:58 PM
Exchange Bitcoin elites for Dollar elites
Result = fucking same

Not really, with bitcoin elites there can be more transparency as well as more equality as there is no money printing (well technically there is, according to mining power).

But we have control of our money rather than having to trust the elites (banks) to play nice. (Which they don't)

So the result goes slightly in the right direction.

Result = Slightly improved, like an inch.
I tend to agree. today's wealthy "game" the system to keep their advantage. In bitcoin you have to play and compete equally. If someone is making big money by working hard and smart, then that's fine with me. In a system like the NYSE small players really only get pennies for their effort, as it has become a rigged market. That I am not fine with.

5040  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Localbitcoins.com Stole My Money & Will Not Fix the Problem on: July 10, 2014, 01:24:11 PM
I'm still not clear on the chronology here. You deposited bitcoin, then a few mins. later it moved out of your wallet? Because that means you were robbed. This certainly could happen that fast. In fact it could happen in much less than 1 second.

Some questions that may help:
What type of two factor authentication do you use?
What OS are you using? Oh, I see now.
Have you ever downloaded any bitcoin related software that is not open source?
Do you have the transaction ID that moved the BTC out of your wallet?

This info should help figure out what is going on.

I needed some money to pay for some things but in my account I only had .1 coin. So I deposited .7 more as I showed above with what I pasted before earlier in this post. After the money cleared I went to sell the coins with a user on the localbitcoins site who was buying coins. When I was at that page again it showed me my balance was good so I continued to sell all the coins to that buyer and so I pushed the submit of the deal and then I got an error page.I went back and refreshed the page and then there was no balance in my account but that was no problem because I thought the money went to the escrow system. So I wanted to check the order and I went to the dashboard and saw there was no deal made with that user and there was also no history of the deal. The money was gone from my account and there was no deal to work with the buyer.

I never add any bitcoin software to my system, I have only downloaded a bitcoin wallet

Ah, thank you I got it now. It is a weird one. But I think that a malicious theft is still the strongest possibility.  That's a bummer man. Fricken criminals!
