5021  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto volatile again, Whats stopping you from trying Options Trading? on: September 25, 2019, 07:19:07 AM
Thanks for explaining how options trading works. It might be useful for some newbie traders, but I already know how they work. The risk is less, but it's still there. If the bitcoin price collapses and the option expires, you lose the price paid for the option-$100.Not bad,but if you bought bitcoins directly, there's still a chance that bitcoin price might recover and you could get profit in the long term.
By the way, where are you trading bitcoin options?
5022  Economy / Economics / Re: The Latest Crypto Price Dip Is Fueled By Fake News Relating to Quantum Computers on: September 25, 2019, 06:53:03 AM
The piece of news from google was a couple days ago, there's no connection between that and todays 'dip'. The price was going sideways for too long, expectations for Bakkt were too high, and we're seeing a large decrease in price following weeks of stability. We might go back to ~$10k but it may 'dip' again.

I agree with that.By the way,I am constantly seeing this "Google's major quantum computing breakthrough" everywhere in my newsfeed.Every rumor about the big G is always exaggerated.I don't think that the vast majority of the crypto users and traders are so naive to believe such news. The reason behind this BTC price drop is somewhere else.
5023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Today's price drop on: September 25, 2019, 06:48:25 AM
Hello,

I've been shocked by the drop of ETH price today. So,I checked CMC and found that all coins dropped. I don't know what happened or why.

So, what happened today? Is this related to some news? where can I follow this kind of stuff?

Thnx

Well,I guess that the 2018 price pattern might repeat. The bitcoin price might crash back to 4K USD and stay at that level during the entire winter.I think that many bitcoin hodlers and traders were waiting for Bakkt to cause a bull run,but that didn't happen so they are just selling.Don't worry, the price will recover next year.
5024  Economy / Economics / Re: Repro market cash shortage... is it something to be worried about? on: September 24, 2019, 12:09:12 PM
It's kinda funny to think that FED has reserves. They can print all the money they want and the short term inflation will be minimal. There's no point of holding reserves.Anyway, the US economy is heading towards a recession and increased money supply, lower interest rates and money injections in the repo market won't solve the problem.I don't think that this has something to do with the current bitcoin price.
5025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling the Bakkt news? on: September 24, 2019, 12:03:17 PM
I was right that the Bakkt hype was existing only in some crypto news websites and not on the markets. Grin
The institutional investors aren't waiting for any "bottom price",because there aren't any institutional investors. The good news is that this expectation is finally over and the crypto community should move on to the next big expectation(the next year halving).
5026  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bakkt btc Coming are you accumulating? on: September 22, 2019, 12:24:18 PM
No.Right now I'm not buying bitcoins.I don't have enough fiat money.I sold lots of bitcoins in the last 2 months, because I needed fiat money to run my other businesses.I'm just hodling the rest of my bitcoins, which is a small amount(around 0.1147 btc).I think there might be a bull run somewhere around December, but it won't be due to the Bakkt launch.
5027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Explain me the result of Bakkt on Crypto like I'm a child on: September 22, 2019, 11:45:19 AM
OP,you should ask this question in the r/ExplainlikeI'mfive subreddit or Reddit. Grin
Most people here fail to explain it so simplistic.I'm not the biggest Bakkt believer, but all those threads related to Bakkt are flooding the forum again for no reason(the Bakkt launch tomorrow isn't a big deal). Grin
I hope that Bakkt will the bitcoin price to hit the moon, but I'm skeptic(or realistic) about it.
5028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a MrBitcoin like MrBeast to increase Bitcoin adoption. on: September 22, 2019, 11:39:29 AM
We don't need a social media clown like MrBeast to promote bitcoin.I think that 90% of his subscribers and viewers are kids and teens. This isn't the perfect demographic,if we want fast adoption, however it might help in the long run.I remember that Pewdiepie had some cryptocurrency related videos back in the day,but it was  just comedy.
5029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are Bill Gates & Buffet anti-crypto? Heavily invested in the current system on: September 22, 2019, 06:27:37 AM
You can't manipulate Bitcoin the way you can manipulate stocks. Old people like Soros know that well and made their fortunes manipulating governments destabilizing economies. They've been doing that to bitcoin too from the shadows.

Paying off a national tv station is a big move and compared to it paying for an article on some bitcoin outlet is nothing.

For people like Buffet bitcoin is too risky. They can buy bonds and make millions on it so why would they play in the internet. They're too old for it.

Oh,really? You can't manipulate the bitcoin price?
There are many evidences that the bitcoin price has been manipulated many times by the crypto whales during the past 6 years.Crypto exchanges can manipulate the price by fake trading volumes.Whales can manipulate the price by pump&dump.
Buffet and Gates are way too wealthy and smart and they realize that bitcoin is still a promising project, surrounded with a lot of hype.It still has to grow and improve and it will face many obstacles.
5030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BAKKT launching tomorrow but BTC price falls? on: September 22, 2019, 05:58:58 AM
Perhaps the crypto whales are just selling in order to push the price down,so they could buy at a cheaper price later, right before the bull run starts. The market was "sleeping" during the last three weeks.I hope that some event will wake the traders up and the price volatility will return.I don't rely that much on Bakkt to bring any new investors to bitcoin.
5031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5Dimes founder found dead in Costa Rica a year after abduction on: September 21, 2019, 12:15:03 PM
Even the $1-million ransom paid by William Sean Creighton's wife to the kidnappers was to no avail.

After having being reported missing for almost a year, the founder of 5Dimes sportsbook was found dead in Costa Rica, the local police confirmed.

Source: https://www.bitcoinsportsbetting.co.uk/news/5dimes-founder-found-dead/

That's horrible,but I have to ask something.
Why is this topic in the Gambling discussion forum?Only because this guy was founder of a srortsbook website?Such topics don't belong to this sub-forum.You,or some moderator should move them to a more suitable forum.I've never heard anything about the 5Dimes platform or Sean Creighton, but this is truly awful.
5032  Economy / Economics / Re: CASHING OUT YOUR CRYPTO-CURRENCY PROFITS on: September 21, 2019, 11:50:44 AM
I would never tell my bank that I trade cryptocurrencies.I'm not that stupid. Grin
I advise anyone to be aware and don't do such stupid mistake. In my country, the banks are still kinda neutral towards crypto, but that doesn't mean that they won't become anti-crypto really fast.
If you don't want your bank account to get frozen in one sunny day, just don't do this.
5033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Stocks vs Gold | The Ultimate Comparison on: September 21, 2019, 11:46:56 AM
Gold has been around for thousands of years, son. It's god's money.

It's not "god's money".It's just a rare shiny metal,that was chosen as a currency(exchange of value),because it's rare,hard to fake,easy to transport in small amounts,etc.
Anyway, when can't compare bitcoin and gold to stocks, because stocks can't be put into one group.
Apple and Microsoft stocks are completely different than General Electric or Boeing stocks.
Small company stocks are different than big giant corporation stocks. That's why this analysis is misleading.
5034  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better ways to identify my customers on: September 21, 2019, 06:31:26 AM
So you sell btc for skrill payments.Wasn't that too risky?Skrill payments can be reversed, while btc transactions can't.How can SMS verifications protect you from being scammed? There are plenty of options to send/receive SMS online for free. You should carry on with ID verification, even though I don't think it helps that much from preventing scams. If you meet a smart scammer,he will eventually scam you despite all verification methods.
5035  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe is against Libra. Who else? on: September 21, 2019, 06:10:54 AM
Hey everyone.
Yesterday I've read an article about European countries opinion on Facebook's Libra. There are a lot of negative statements about it. (Not without Trump's tweets, of course).
What's interesting - there were no official responce from Libra yet. But they still planning to launch it in 2020.

My question is - will launching Libra change the statement 'cryptocurrency is not money' in better way or it'll make worse?

What do you mean by "Europe is against Libra"?This statement is too generalized.
The governments? The central banks? The people and companies?Who is against Libra?
Crypto users are against Libra because it's a stable coin, and we usually hate stable coins, due to various reasons. Some fiat money supporters hate Libra, because it's going to be pseudo-money.
Only the fanatic Facebook users are going to support that coin, but the project might never come to a successful launch.
5036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption! Finally? on: September 21, 2019, 06:06:11 AM
Well, bitcoin adoption in Japan is going very well, but what about other countries.
Having massive bitcoin adoption in ONE country doesn't mean that bitcoin is getting adopted everywhere in the world. It's well known that Rakuten is a crypto-friendly company so it's no surprise that they are launching a crypto exchange.
By the way,the title of your thread is pure clickbait. Grin
5037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 8 Ball Pool game against live players worldwide - is gambling available? on: September 20, 2019, 12:29:52 PM
If possible please brief, how the game will be played.

The usual Player vs Player mode.

If ever a gambling site will have a feature like this, my concern is how we can verify if we are playing against a real human. This game can be easily applied with an aimbot program that might calculate the right spot on the cueball or longer guided lines.

That's why I suggest to OP instead that if he is interested in a match, he can challenge anyone here and use crypto as a betting prize. It will take place on Miniclip since it's more easy to access or maybe there's a much better platform for this.

There are a huge number of cheaters on Miniclip and similar sites, so challenging someone to play on one of those sites is like fighting a boxer on steroids.

I would personally love if there were more PvP gambling games like this, however, it is very difficult to produce a game that uses a skill element that can't be botted.

That's right. If it's a skill-based game it can most likely be exploited. The game has to be based on luck,in order for it to be suitable for gambling.I used to play billiard games, when I was a kid. Now,I'm not interested in billiard sports. They are kinda boring for me.
Maybe some game developer could modify a version of 8-ball pool, which is based on luck, not skills.
5038  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-09-16] Darkweb criminals launder cash for bitcoin at pennies for dollar on: September 20, 2019, 12:03:19 PM
Pay 800 USD worth of bitcoin and get 10,000 USD in fiat money from a bank account via Western Union?
I don't get it.What makes this transaction clever?I guess that the hackers have access to way too much stolen bank accounts so they sell them at an extremely low price.
The battle against the Darkweb is going to be harder than ever.
5039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen after cryptocurrency on: September 20, 2019, 11:53:51 AM
Money changed its shape through the history. As from non-monetary exchange to the need of having money. Fast forward to our current banknotes which are in my opinion slowly dying with bitcoin taking over. Many discussions are being held if bitcoin can be the primary currency in the world. Let's assume it can be. Everything has an end so what do you think will come after bitcoin? What will money look like hundreds of years from now? I predict its gonna be digital of course but I'm interested if its going to be a cryptocurrency or something else.

You are wrong.Paper money aren't dying and bitcoin isn't taking over.Paper money are still dominating the economy and will continue to dominate for decades.Bitcoin/blockchain is an exciting innovation, but nobody knows how it will grow and improve in the near future. Will the governments and central banks embrace it?Will they ban it?
Nobody can tell you what will replace fiat/digital or crypto money.
5040  Economy / Economics / Re: $175 billion just printed and the Bitcoin price goes down! on: September 20, 2019, 06:39:55 AM
175 billion dollars is peanuts. Grin
Such small amount won't change anything in the US economy or in the global economy.
By the way,the bitcoin price recovered from the 5% nose dive,so I think it's wrong to search for a correlation between the bitcoin price and how many billions were printed by FED.
There's no bear trap and Bakkt won't change anything.
