5021  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought BTC at 23.5K$ on: December 19, 2020, 12:29:17 AM
By seeing the increasing in price rapidly I invested in bitcoin. Was it the perfect time? What is the prediction of price for now with reason?!
You might feel cheated and frustrated that you bought BTC at 23.5K but I get it - you didn't want to miss out.
Rest assured, BTC has no resistance and my speculation is that if you pay attention to the market you might even be able to make a profit. Why?

I believe that another wave is coming and it is a only a matter of days if not hours. I think the next 24h will set a new ATH for BTC, so maybe worth keeping a close eye on the market for now.

There are still 2 weeks before the year ends so there are many possibilities for bitcoin to rally again. If that happens, I suggest to OP not to get greedy and take profit at that time. Correction can happen anytime because bitcoin's price rose very quickly. I hope OP learned a lesson from this experience, I think he was caught in FOMO, no one expected it to rise at that price hence he still bought.
5022  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tip. on: December 18, 2020, 02:51:53 AM
Great set up in a way if the SL didn't hit you in your play. I know we all think that this prediction is great because it happened, and we are all happy for it, especially those who rode the wave up to the new ATH. I hadn't seen this tip about when it was posted, and even if I did, I wouldn't have followed it anyway.

Great tip because it went to the prediction. I'm not sure what members would post here if it didn't. Probably get roasted for it, lol. I hope OP made some big bucks!

Same for me, everyone that followed is glad that they were able to make money from this signal. I don't suggest to anyone to always follow this kind of prediction because even if they used many techniques in trading, it's not possible to correctly predict every movement of bitcoin. We all know how very volatile and unpredictable it is. If someone really wants to earn from trading, you would study it yourself and trade with your own caution.
5023  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bangladesh going to accept Cryptocurrency??? on: December 18, 2020, 01:29:47 AM
I think that when you (Gov) know about your country's economic health and see that crypto has a wide range of services available as well as can bring in enough opportunities to the youth of their country if they allow crypto exchanges to operate there. I believe it can also help strengthen their GDP and can also gain some extra momentum as one whole country starts accepting it, so it'll be a win-win for both the ends.

The governments still believe that allowing cryptocurrency trading would be more harmful for them, compared to any potential gains. In none of the South Asian nations, Bitcoin is 100% legal. In India, recently an individual was arrested from the city of Bangalore, for trying to install a Bitcoin ATM. Nepal and Bangladesh have banned all cryptocurrency activity and arrested those who have traded with cryptocurrencies.
You are right. Here, in Bangladesh, crypto currency buy, sell or exchange is strongly denied and one of the punishable crime to do such things. Already it is proven model here that Cryptocurrency isn't allowed. But some people like us using it with our own risk because we love to use it and we are not involve in any crime using cryptocurrency. Hopefully government will think about it with some positive aspects.

Why is it a crime there to use bitcoin? Is it always used by the criminals there that resulted for the government to impose such law? That is the only reason I can think of to ban the use of bitcoin there. Other countries who also have reported cases of using bitcoin illegally don't just ban bitcoin thus they require many papers to prove how and where you get your bitcoin.
5024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 17, 2020, 11:15:43 AM
Nowadays I like to check previous results, current team form, the condition of the two teams (suspensions, injuries), and head2head results. Also how much recovery time the opponents had after the last played matches.

That can really help you to decide which team or player are going to win. Lower odds doesn't guarantee that they would win, sportsbetting is also a form of gambling after all. Analyzing those things you've mentioned could reduce alot of risk of losing then verify if the lower odds team could really win.
5025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hello in which coins are you invested in and which ICO´s do you prefer ? on: December 16, 2020, 10:40:28 AM
Btc, ltc, and eth are my top bet for 2021. About ICO's, I can't suggest where to invest as some of it now are scam unlike the past years. My only opinion is always to make sure the project is legit. Check if their members are real and not just someone who's picture is from google, check if they're transparent on social media, and see if their project attracts some good investors. I think that is enough to put some of your money on that ICO.
5026  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc and alts on: December 15, 2020, 10:10:42 AM
From my experience in crypto trading. It really depends on traders, most likely whales decide what will happen on the crypto market. Sometimes bitcoin is rallying very quickly that alts are being left out. If alts pump, it means the hype is there and will result formany traders exchange their btc for that particular altcoin. What happens now is bitcoin is slowly climbing up so alts can catch up.
5027  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic will bring more economic progress in long-term... on: December 15, 2020, 04:41:09 AM
Have you seen any changes in your working environment like these?

Here in our country, most office-based works now are WFH (work from home). They can lessen a lot in terms of travel and other spendings. They don't have also to go on long hours of traffic just to go to work.
While small business here now accepts a cashless way of payment so it's a lot more convenient when you buy on that store. I hope those things will be permanent or considered to benefit a lot of people even if pandemic is gone.
5028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 15, 2020, 02:10:33 AM
It's good to bet on underdog especially if a certain game is so popular, haven't heard of betting against the public principle in sports betting? When lots of money are going to the favorites, well, that's the time to go the other way as most of the time the public lose, that's a proven thing.

That's a risky bet. Should not be recommended.

I don't see how it will the chance of winning. The public can't control the outcome. How it will increase the chances of underdogs to win that particular game. Since it's a proven thing as you mentioned, mind giving us some examples?

May I know on what sports it seems to be effective?

That is possible if the game is already planned on who is going to win or manipulated. I've also thought of that. What if a large number of people bet on the crowd favorite which likely will make the odds low. Then some will bet on the underdog team with the higher odds. Since it's already planned that they would win, then they are guaranteed a lot amount of money.
5029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO, IDO, STO which best? on: December 14, 2020, 08:17:27 AM
"First generation" of ICO way back 2017 or 2018 are the best for me because I was able to earn a large profit from their crowdsale as well as joining their bounty campaign. It gave me alot of btc that if I would save in until now I would be hodling 1 or 2 whole bitcoins. But sadly, when emergency happens and I don't have enough money I spend it. Now only few amounts left hoping that it would give me a good future in few years.
5030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many old coins are dead and abandoned by the developer, WHY? on: December 14, 2020, 06:36:56 AM
Number 1 reason is lack of funds, and there are 2 factors for me why that happened. Maybe the project didn't attract much attention that they only got a few investors. Or this can also be a scam project where they do a crowdsale and after getting enough amounts they abandon their project.
5031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: There is no certainty in trading on: December 14, 2020, 04:56:02 AM
Trading is predicting whether the price will go up or down so there's really no certainty on this. Even expert traders are having mistakes on doing their trades. Though it can be the same as gambling in terms of uncertainties, I will still prefer trading because you can learn some analysis techniques and using some indicators to reduce this feeling.
5032  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you trade? on: December 14, 2020, 04:03:18 AM
I trade any crypto that is in the top 10 of coinmarketcap. But right now I'm focusing on btc/usdt and eth/btc pairs. I feel less risk trading those 2 because they've been stable these past few days and only moving on a small price range. I sometimes trade low volume altcoins if I think it's preparing for a pump.
5033  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest threats to the price of Bitcoin. on: December 14, 2020, 02:38:11 AM
Anything is really been handled by whales when we do talk to the entire community or crypto space yet we know on how the supply had been scattered all over
which we can presume that it cant really be easily go down or crash to the floor.Yes, they might have that significant impact but not always because
market will really recover no matter what as long there's a demand then we can presume that it will really be heading back.

When it comes to threats then government would really be one on the top list as usual where centralization will always oppose with decentralized stuff which means
they can take some significant step that might really be a blockage for full scale adoption but somehow it doesn't mean that it will be completely
on dark sky yet there are various ways on how to bypass or get rid of centralization.

My opinion is opposite since bitcoin can be easily manipulated by whales, they are the biggest threat to bitcoin that can bring the price down to that level. We already experienced it last bear season and some small hodlers with weak hands sold their bitcoin at loss. You can see it when bitcoin's price fluctuates quickly in a day or week.

While we shouldn't be afraid to government about those things. Even now that bitcoin is not embraced by them, many big and popular institutions are considering adding cryptocurrencies on their platform.
5034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 14, 2020, 12:51:35 AM
What do you follow when you are betting on sports: is it the odds or your knowledge and experience? Or maybe you're one of those people who bet on the favorite team or perhaps follows a gut? Do odds even matter to you? If yes, how important are they for your final decision?

It depends on the game I'm betting. If the game is at main event, I don't just base on the odds, I also rely on their previous matches to see if the lower odd team has a really higher chance to win. If it's just a casual game my bet always go to the team with lower odds. Sometimes I bet on higher odd if it's my favorite team.
5035  Economy / Economics / Re: Cause of Covid Vaccine and it's Value on: December 13, 2020, 06:29:14 AM
In my country there are some barangays/places to be vaccinated first. The question is, is it safe? What will be the effect on the person being injected?

Vaccine are not mandatory yet so it's your choice if you want to take it or not. If you're not afraid to go to crowded places and go home with a possible risk of covid then it's up to you. For me, I would take it because I'm more afraid to have the covid and spend huge amount of money in the hospital. Reported side effects are not life-threatening as far as I know.

What do you think the price, is that reasonable? Can people buy at that price?

39$ here is worth 4 days of minimum wage here so I think it's still affordable. And I think the government will handle the cost first, then they will pass it to their citizens to pay it for some months.
5036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use bitcoin? on: December 13, 2020, 05:33:50 AM
I use bitcoin here sometimes to pay our bills or to buy something online. I only use small amount so it won't be suspicious to authorities. I heard that the company of our local bitcoin wallet here ban or lock the funds of their user if they noticed some big amount of transactions. It's hard to prove to them that it came from a legal way because bitcoin trading is not that known yet here. You will need to provide many proofs to support your claims.
5037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the longest you have waited for one confirmation?? on: December 13, 2020, 04:54:58 AM
I think 5 or 6 hrs from my experience. The USD equivalent of fee that time is very high but I really need to withdraw so I set the fee to lowest. I thought it won't be longer than 2hrs since I've been doing it before but the blockchain that time has a huge number of transactions ongoing.
5038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the most important thing in the development of a project? on: December 13, 2020, 04:02:01 AM
In terms of development, the budget will always be an important thing for me in a project. It's like a domino effect, if there are many investors attracted to this project then they will invest on this, then the team developing the project can progress through their roadmap.

If the team has their own large budget but it doesn't attract much attention then for me they will fail in the long run.
5039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 5 best coin or token? on: December 13, 2020, 01:08:45 AM
Any of the top 10 on coinmarketcap is the best coin for me. I don't stick to one coin only to trade, if I saw volatility and a good opportunity to trade one of those, I transfer to that coin. Those top 10 have shown their impact on the crypto world and have continuous projects.
5040  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Withdrawal Fees Rise (!?)|| November 2020 on: December 13, 2020, 12:27:41 AM
I think withdrawal fees only affect bitcoin so if you want to lessen the fees then convert it to another cryptocurrency. Some popular gambling platforms now offer that kind of thing. We can't avoid or blame the gambling website if the bitcoin withdrawal fee there increases. It's normal for that to happen if there are many bitcoin transactions going on the blockchain network.
