5041  Economy / Speculation / Re: Oops Price is 425$ Now... on: March 07, 2016, 07:53:06 AM
The price has fallen even lower now, the price has dropped to $400. I really hope that the price rises back up to $430.

I'm afraid it might not that easy, we are now below $400, and seems like there is no sign that it will move up back again to $400+ in hours... I hope there will be good development in the price tomorrow...

What do you mean?    $409,  $411 and going up......

I feel now itself the price has started increasing without waiting for tomorrow. This price increase might made few panic users to get out of the stress they were experiencing when the price decreased below $400 within few days without a small growth.

The price was $430 in the last week and today its just above $400 so I really don't where bitcoin will land in next couple of months, we were expecting that bitcoin will cross $500 mark by this time, but its not happening at a moment.
The fact that it got back to around $430.00 is pretty good news, I wonder if the current popularity of ETH is affecting the Bitcoin price in some way.
Nevertheless, I see it going towards $500.00 as the reward halving comes closer Smiley
5042  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: March 07, 2016, 07:48:22 AM
With the current move on btc i think its hard to invest we may see the price rise up again or go down...
As the whales are manipulating the btc right now...

whales manipulate bitcoin price because he want to buying a ton of bitcoin before block halving done
keep hold your bitcoin is best way at this day.
Sometimes it's also highly profitable to make fast trades when the Bitcoin price is going down and to buy into an altcoin that is rising in price at that moment.
I've done that using Dash and Ethereum over the last couple of weeks/months and have grown 0.75 btc into 3.85 btc.
5043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block size increase - when? on: March 07, 2016, 07:44:34 AM
I seem to be missing most of the problems with slow transactions apparently, I've been using a 0.0002 btc fee and transactions just take the regular 15 - 30 minutes or so to confirm.
I could just be lucky though..
5044  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bit Play - Get free bitcoins for playing games on: March 07, 2016, 07:41:09 AM
It's a pretty nice game, but I'd say it's not really worth to play at the moment, at the current rate you need to play for weeks to reach a meaningful amount.
If the rewards ever rise it might be worth it.

5045  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betchan Casino accepting Bitcoin on: March 07, 2016, 07:39:06 AM
Nice find, definitely worth sharing Smiley If we see any more of these traditional gambling sites offering Bitcoin payments,  think Bitcoin itself will certainly reach the mainstream more.
I just wish Pokerstars would some day accept Bitcoin, that would be pretty epic for sure!
5046  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: March 07, 2016, 07:35:59 AM
I have made many mistakes with Bitcoin. First of all, I bought 4 Bitcoins when the price went up to $1000. I also gambled away 0.7 Bitcoins, I am a very stupid person.

At least you didn't put them in mtgox right?

I traded away 2 bitcoins within 10 minutes on a bad altcoin trade, that sucked pretty hard but nothing like mtgox.
he is gamble not a trade mate. so he certainly avoid mt GOX. hear your story. how can you lose 2 BTC of exchange altcoin? is it you doing wrong in buying altcoin? or altcoin be dead and disappeared. it often happens to traders mate Cheesy
Haha, yeah that Gox fiasco was pretty bad for everyone involved, I'm just glad I started out with Kraken because I saw it advertised on Blockchain.info Smiley
Never used Gox and I'm very glad for that..
5047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have a look. This is not mixing. This is spaming on: March 07, 2016, 07:33:07 AM
It's a little bit odd, but I do not see anything being actually wrong with those transactions.
It does look like an automated process or something though and i wonder what the purpose is.
5048  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in Bitcoin Casinos on: March 07, 2016, 07:30:19 AM
Look at which one is the oldest and most trustworthy first. I'd take that over a few % extra profit any day of the week.

I think that is one of the best methods also its very risky to invest in casinos so think about it when you do.
You can lose a  lot of money when the casinos are gonna collapse if you ask me.

All investments are comes with risks and if any one worried about risks than they can't invest money to grow or beat inflation. The best way to reduce your loses in these kind of investments is diversification instead of keeping all your money in one site, chose few good sites and diversify your money.

That is correct. In this kind of high risk investment we must do diversifying our investments and the main advantage is if any one casino close also we still will get regular profits from other casinos so it will not impact so much from one lose. But, the most difficult part in this investment is finding good few casinos to invest.
I can say from experience that my investments at Crypto-games yielded me a nice profit. It's a bit of a risk though because they hold your investment for 24 hours after placing it, but after that you can withdraw instantly.

But I would never recommend just investing everything into one site, like you said, diverifying your investments is the best option.
5049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Livechat on: March 07, 2016, 07:24:22 AM
The bitcoin Wiki lists quite a few IRC channels, some of them are pretty active.
Go check it out for yourself at:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/IRC_channels

I don't know of any specific websites that offer a live chat, except Poloniex and some dice sites.
I'm somewhat active on the Crypto-games chat, but it's mostly gambling related, but also very general Bitcoin oriented.
yobit has one... It seems pretty active, but it's always the same 4-5 guys talking (or so it seems to me)
Crypto-games chat is pretty active most of the time, around 10 - 20 people active on busy hours and they sometimes do giveaways of a few thousand satoshis.
5050  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: March 07, 2016, 07:22:12 AM
Best investment now that you can do is in Bitcoin, I think. The value is not that high and it will become more popular so that is quite good.
I hope later that more people will invest and that they can get some profit and that they will like Bitcoin also.

Yes, that is sure. Just buy with small quantities and over the time when price go high than can sell it off of more profits. But, if you can take some risks than you can find couple of good casinos, which accepts investments and invest in those houses and your coins will grow slowly. But, it is quite risky investment and you can make some good profit.
My advice would be to spread your investments and always look for somewhat trusty investment options, unless they are high yielding and easily withdrawable (such as dice sites).
And always keep a minimum amount of savings stored safely in case you end up losing.
5051  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: March 07, 2016, 07:14:46 AM
I think the point of the original post was that the economies around the word are slowing down and to sell but not necessarily sell bitcoin.  At least I take it that way.  To me, if the dollar gets weaker and stocks drop in value, then maybe it's a good time to invest in crypto currencies instead.

Yeah, investing in crypto seems to be good at a moment, as we can expect much higher price in the future, and if they are saying to sell all bitcoins, then not the right time to do it, we need to wait for next couple of months.

nothing is guaranteed, bitcoin doesn't guarantee you success in long run, as we don't know where bitcoin will land in future, but if you hold bitcoin at a moment then just hold it for next couple of months.
Nothing is guaranteed except for death and taxes. Cheesy

I would say that it is a fairly good decision to hold your Bitcoin for a little while, a fairly large number of people are intent on seeing Bitcoin (and their personal investments) succeed.

The good thing is that it all comes down to personal preference and choice, so it is entirely up to you to decide what you intend to do.
It's still fairly cheap to invest in Bitcoin, especially if you're from any western country. Invest, say, 5000 dollars/euro and you might end up doubling or trippling that over a one or two year period from now.
The chances of losing it all over that period are also pretty small.
5052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: March 07, 2016, 07:10:58 AM
I have earned about 50mBTC and lost it
You should always quit while you're ahead. i always quit when i make profits(except that i don't make any profits now just loses).
I've found that the longer how quit after making a big win, the more I win after that. I'm probably just betting a little less risky though because of the cool-down time.
I usually try to stop gamblign for at least a few weeks after I win more than 1 Bitcoin.

5054  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: WTakeDownBot - Satoshi Dice Bot - Forget Martingale Bots on: March 07, 2016, 07:03:09 AM
There lies the problem I'm having with your explanation, it is simply not possible to predict when you are going to have a winning streak.
That's what you mean with that, right? That the bot will be able to predict winning streaks?

In a normal scenario, when we play it is in no way possible to predict the spots. But, the bot has a special way to learn the spots and predict them in the next sessions. The predictions aren't 100% accurate. But, the bot reduces the stake when it is below a certain percentage of accuracy prediction.

Consider today's test:

https://www.satoshidice.com//user/f05f838b104da3073fc7572f03c3ad8e

The bot lowered the stake to 135 BTC when it had a lower accuracy prediction.

The bot is now in the learning phase and as such is supposed to make mistakes. Only then can it improve. But at the end of today's session, it was again a profit of 130%.
I understand what you are saying but I'm just pointing out that it is impossible to do that, you just can't predict future rolls based on what you've learned from your previous wins and losses.
This is gamblers fallacy, the same as when you do Martingale and expect to roll 'High' after 50 losses where it lands on 'Low'.
5055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hot Coins on: March 06, 2016, 11:21:54 AM
I think the hottest altcoin is the Ethereum. It has the largest market cap and it also has the largest trading volume.

Excuse me, can I ask you who paid you to write this?  Lol  Huh
Lol, I think most people agree that Etherium is by far the hottest coin at this point in time, just look at the trading volume over at Poloniex.
I remember buying a few months ago for 0.002, and look at the price now..
5056  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: March 06, 2016, 11:19:15 AM
This has probably been mentioned before, but there are loads of gambling sites to invest on, it's a risky investment, but the risk is compensated by the high possible yield.
A few examples are Moneypot and Crypto-games.
5057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we find Bitcoin wallet? on: March 06, 2016, 11:14:32 AM
You're asking a difficult question that can't be answered with a simple yes or no. Bitcoin is a publicly stored ledger; this means that all the transactions are traceable (a lot of people seem to forget this when they say that Bitcoin is truly anonymous; which it isn't). Now if you're asking whether somebody can determine if address X belongs to service Y, the answer is likely yes. Can somebody determine that the answer is owned by you (identity)? It's possible, but much harder. However, every-time your address directly or indirectly interacts with services on which you're registered on, you leave a bread crumb (a trail). For example, if you are registered somewhere with personal details (ID and such), that service most likely knows a lot of your other addresses (expert users could avoid this or at least make it much more difficult).

Is the IP address of the person sending a transaction publicly visible? I've noticed there are some ip addresses attached to transactions, but figured they must be from node or pool.

Will this member eternalgloom be banned from this campaign because of "one day poster" as per rule number 21?
No.

Thanks, I thought it would still be fine since it was spread over 2 days (March 4th and 5th), I just didn't have the time to post during the past couple of weeks, but in hindsight, I should have made at least a couple of posts during the week.
Anyway, it sucks but it's my own fault.
5059  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: March 05, 2016, 12:35:29 PM
to motivate a woman to use bitcoin i think it's very difficult.
logically, you can motivate by telling that the bitcoin can buy beauty  Cheesy Cheesy

Just lure them into foodies and explain them how they can be used to buy pizzas and I think she will get convinced easily. Grin

Moreover she might get insecure during the initial steps of trying the new payment system.
But dont make her worry any further.

Also if you get a chance where your nearby coffee shop accepts bitcoin then you try paying through bitcoins in front of her one day and she will obviously get curious the next second.
Funny that you mention this, since I've been taking my girlfriend to places where they accept bitcoin and I'm kinda showing off paying with my cell phone, in a very nerdy way albeit Smiley

I completely forgot to post last week due to being very busy the past couple of weeks.
This week, I've caught up and my activity will be back to normal Smiley

I thought I had sent Lutpin a message about it, but I must've forgotten :s
