I hope my post is not wrong. Thank you for the response  Smiley
Not in any way is your post wrong, actually it's one of the best newbie debut post I have seen, newbies mostly ask on how to earn merits and rank up, make money etc from the go; but your first post has covered more important aspects than that and even contains "guides" and "help" to other users.

You can introduce the forum to as many people as possible, but the way you do it is also important, so if they decide to join due to your recommendation they would not start off like the "typical" newbie, but will understand what the forum is all about.
5042  Economy / Economics / Re: The Coronavirus and A Deflationary Crisis on: April 13, 2020, 06:05:00 AM
Some Coronavirus lessons costed us too much. Bitcoin believers have been saying that this crypto has a big potential to become a medium of exchange
Bitcoin AFAIK is a medium of exchange, indubitably the main medium of exchange is fiat/money; but bitcoin can also be used to buy goods and pay for services and is also accepted by sellers. Too much is being made of this corona virus pandemic, stop exaggerating it's effect on bitcoin, people still use bitcoin the way they did before the pandemic and now even use it to make donations to support families in this lockdown.
Bitflate is a cryptocurrency with constant inflation of 7% per year. Its goal is to be a Medium of Exchange.
This article is just an advertisement for your shitcoin, but all of the article was still about Bitcoin, ironical Cheesy
5043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not in healthy state yet on: April 12, 2020, 09:38:57 PM
The virus outbreak already done it's damage on the upcoming bitcoin halving...
The halving is yet to take place, it should be around sometime next month, how then has the corona virus pandemic "damaged" the halving; I'm aware there are a lot of newbies that are eager for the halving to happen and they are expectant due to a possibility that BTC price will go up, that may or may not happen, the virus may or may not affect it, you cannot be sure of what will happen.
More than half of the 2020 crypto conferences were either canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, while mining manufacturers had to stop the equipment production in China, how good is this for crypto?
Sport competitions was cancelled, international travels banned, even free movements of people was restricted etc, every activity that brings people together was cancelled to stop the pandemic spread and that's why the cryptocurrency conferences were cancelled, not because of the"doom" of crypto.
5044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 12, 2020, 02:49:02 PM
It would allow Spurs to improve the team, they could buy 4 or 5 players.
If they ever manage to make Manchester united buy Harry Kane for this outrageous amount(200 mil)they better use it to good use in signing players. They have sold players in the past for very good amounts, like Gareth Bale; the players bought with the money didn't have too much impact when they came to spurs, but with Mou as manager now, I'm sure he will handpick the players he wants.

I thought Manchester City are also interested in signing Harry Kane?
5045  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: April 12, 2020, 01:10:54 PM
How many times one can loose all his trading accounts before really start trading and earn.
You can possibly even lose every single time and never earn. If you are a beginner, losing so much can mean you should take a break and learn more, that is probably what's needed for you to start earning, it's a winning strategy that is proven to work.
And to answer your question in the OP, "invest only what you can afford to lose".
5046  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A SIMPLIFIED BREAKDOWN OF TRUST SYSTEM +0/=0/-0 on: April 12, 2020, 08:37:48 AM
1. What does each number and signs of the Trust system means and how do they work.
The first number indicates a positive trust, if you receive a positive rating from a member in DT or on your trust list it changes to +1 and is green in color, the middle number is for neutral ratings while the last is for a negative trust, which shows as -1 and is orange in color. As many points you receive, whether negative, neutral or positive, the number increases.
2. Can the TRUST system be built by the user of the account. If yes in what ways?
Yes you can build a positive trust on the forum overtime, if you prove to be trustworthy in issues like trading on the forum etc
3. Can the TRUST system be destroyed by the user of the account? If yes in what ways.
Yes, if you do things against the forum rules like selling and buying accounts, buying merits etc, you will receive negative ratings from other users and have a bad reputation on the forum, which "destroys the account"
4. What are the consequences of not having a good rating?
Signature campaign managers do not take participants with negative trust/ratings, you will also find it difficult to trade with members of the forum plus a ruined reputation which is bad enough.
5. Can poor rating system of an account lead to a ban of  such an account?
No, negative trusts don't lead to bans, you can only be banned for reasons such as plagiarism, ban evasion and very few other reasons.
5047  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Intro to campaign managing on: April 12, 2020, 01:05:08 AM
how does one start the path to being involved in the promotion side of airdrops, bounties, contests, and any other type of campaign or project that would be associated with that list?  I want to get my foot in the door on that side and eventually work into managing campaigns myself.
It's uncanny to register on a forum and immediately start aiming to be a campaign manager, I am certain that even the established campaign managers in the forum at the moment didn't know they'll be one in the beginning, they joined the forum because they wanted to discuss about bitcoin, a subject they found interesting and filled with potentials; they are CM's today, but that wasn't the primary goal.

"airdrops, bounties, contest etc" you should do your research on them, you'll probably see that they are almost all scams, either stealing your private documents, selling your identity and emails or just wasting your time for coins that are nonsense.
5048  Economy / Speculation / Re: My first experience of Bitcoin halving, I'm excited. on: April 11, 2020, 06:12:11 PM
My question is what price do you predict Bitcoin to be after this Halving and also I would like to get more details as regard to the Halving event.
There is no need speculating the price of bitcoin after the halving because there is a zero chance of being correct, you can make attempts to compare halvings in the past to arrive at a price, but there is no way to be sure. Since the halving is about four-five weeks from now, it's better to wait till it happens than predicting.
Does it have a venue?
No, there is no venue for the bitcoin halving.
5049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 11, 2020, 05:10:12 PM
Bonucci can leave Juventus to joining Inter next year, he is also on Manchester City radar.
Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer of Bonucci, he wanted to sign him for City before he moved to AC Milan, a very shocking move, if Bonucci is once again ready to leave Juventus in less than two years of his return back to Juve, then Pep and City may be leading in the bid to sign him, City need defensive reinforcements and Bonucci is a good option.
In any swap deal, there's always a loser so, in this case, who is it? the catalan club or the Citizens?
Semedo hasn't impressed at Barcelona, so also has Cancelo being second choice at right back for city, I don't think any of the clubs will be losing if a swap deal pulls through. They are both about the same age(25/26)and the same level in football. Going the opposite direction for the both of them may be the wake-up call for both their careers.
5050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will coronavirus encourage people to use crypto more thoroughly? on: April 11, 2020, 02:53:11 PM
The longer it takes for COVID-19 to disappear, the better it'll be for crypto's adoption in the mainstream world. I'm confident that people will use crypto more thoroughly in a world where the banking system is about to collapse...
You probably didn't have any bad intentions, but crypto adoption should not be attained at the cost of thousands of lives, this pandemic you talk about is taking lives away and is affecting every human on the face of the earth, I see no way people would even be concerned in using cryptocurrency to promote it's adoption, their concern would be fixed on survival, and fiat is quicker and easier to assess and use for a larger number of people, we should also be worried about governments taking strict measures and regulations on cryptocurrencies after the pandemic to bring back their economy after this collapse.
5051  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, may be a custom title please. on: April 11, 2020, 02:26:45 PM
why not, I support this idea, the title would act like a wreath for such users who have contributed so much to the forum and now no more, their account rightfully should stand out(and be locked as well)
The idea is not a bad one think about the future some people can play pranks with it. If someone is away for so long and someone cook up something that looks real and that custom is placed on the account then the person returns and it causes commotion.
The custom title would not go to just any user, it's going to work for just established users, and it's not given on the basis of long period of inactivity, the users OP referenced are confirmed to be either deceased(Bruno, Hal, etc)or no longer on the forum(like satoshi).
5052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: April 11, 2020, 01:20:24 PM
Bigger clubs like Real and Barcelona will continue to make good money from the sale of players, TV and marketing rights but for the smaller clubs will be very difficult to survive financially.
They will be making more money than the smaller clubs because they have always been doing so, but definitely they wouldn't be making as much as they use to before this pandemic outbreak. The smaller clubs i am afraid would be hit harder, especially financially, I can imagine a whole lot of small clubs going completely bankrupt and will find it difficult to pay players and staff salaries.

A lot of transfers due to happen, may not go through after this pandemic is over, clubs will try to make money and recover by selling their players for a good cost, clubs after losing so much this period would not have too much money to spend on transfers, it's going to be a very difficult situation for all clubs.
5053  Other / Off-topic / Re: Extra carefull using remote application , meeting apps on: April 10, 2020, 04:10:15 PM
I read the article and I can understand why zoom is suddenly been targeted my scammers and cyber criminals, any convenient way to see friends and loved ones is appreciated at this time we are all cut off from each other and that's what zoom offers, and why their users have multiplied tremendously. Those who use this app should really be careful or stop using it for now. Fortunately for me I'm locked in this lockdown with my family, so i have not had any need to use zoom.
5054  Other / Meta / Re: POLL: Initial merit provided to older established accounts on: April 10, 2020, 02:09:37 PM
There are a lot of older members who may not post here anymore, or anywhere near the frequency they used to. I still think they would deserve merit from prior posts but most of them do not have people going back to their old posts and adding merit. Users like satoshi, Hal, and other core developers may have had other members go back and add merit to some posts,
You have added a point I wanted to include in my initial post in this poll, my choice/vote in this did not include users who are no longer active or who post sparingly, not at the rate or frequency they did in the past; my choice in this poll is based on users who are still active, and posting the same way they did before the merit system. And also users you mentioned like Hal and Satoshi have "earned" so many merits, far more than a lot of users today.
5055  Other / Meta / Re: POLL: Initial merit provided to older established accounts on: April 10, 2020, 12:19:53 PM
A quick thought on your poll, and my thought is that as many users who received airdropped merits and have continued to earn merits since then, have proved that they really deserved the merits they received; and would have ranked up even if they started from zero. But users who only have airdropped merits and have not "earned" any afterwards may actually not deserve the airdropped merits they received, and as such may need to prove that they are HQ posters/users and with or without the initial airdrop would still have ranked up.

Some more news concerning Manuel Neuer. It looks like he will sign a three- or four-year contract at FC Bayern München soon -
This contract will settle rumours that he was going to Chelsea or that Chelsea was interested in signing him from Bayern Munich, I knew that information wasn't correct, Chelsea need to look for a younger goalkeeper or stick with Arizabalaga and hope he improves, Neuer has come far with Bayern and I think he should end his career there.
but is it, Sterling, really worth 160mill?
I'll say yes to that, if not for this pandemic that'll reduce players cost and clubs pricing power, I'll value sterling around that amount, Raheem is one of the best players in Europe with his performances since pep arrived. He should be up there with the most expensive players in Europe.
5057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 09, 2020, 04:20:31 PM
Maybe in plain view Messi might not go to Inter, but who knows if Inter Milan have prepared a myriad of money just for Messi's transfer.  Sometimes Money can change the original plan.
Even if Inter offer an unexpected sum for Messi, I don't think Messi would move to Inter Milan, Inter are no longer a big team as they were in the past, they have failed to win the Italian league or Champions league in a very long while. I don't think that's the kind of team Messi would like to move to, that's if he ever leaves Barcelona.

One team that can tempt Messi out of Barcelona would be Manchester City, they have been winning titles in the last couple of years, with just the champions league eluding them, and with Messi's record in the UCL he can lead them to that title, he will also be linking up with pep once more if he does so, a manger he has always admired.
I can't even believe we're all speculating on Messi leaving Barca, can that ever happen.
5058  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin' Escrow System And the Bank System on: April 09, 2020, 08:32:56 AM
1. How does the escrow system different from the the trust system of the traditional banking system and the Fintech business model.
The escrow is system is different from the trust system of the banking sector in that the bitcoin network or mode of transactions isn't built on the basis of a third party intervening in transactions to ensure it goes smoothly, that's exactly how the banking system works, but the bitcoin network allows transactions between two parties without any trusted third party, but in order to ensure the safety of the buyer, so that when he sends to the seller, the seller doesn't refuse to send the coins, then the need for an escrow who would hold the funds/take part in the transaction till the sender sends the coins. So the escrow system is just a form of protection from theft or fraud, transactions can even take place on the bitcoin network without an escrow, but in the traditional system there must be a trusted third party in the transaction, that's the difference.
2. Does the escrow system not against the foundational principle of bitcoin  which is to have an electronic currency without a payment system third party ?
Just as i said above, the escrow system doesn't go against "satoshi's" principles because it is not a compulsory factor in transactions, the escrow simply takes part in the transaction, like a part of a multi signature wallet, to make sure funds are sent by the buyer and coins sent by the seller, they assure safety and protection.
5059  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie to Jnr on: April 09, 2020, 01:33:57 AM
Hey!
So I've been a lurker on this forum for quite a few years now, but I still see newbie below my name Tongue
That's because you have not earned a(1)merit as of yet, and truth be told, even if you have, you have not been active enough to reach the number of activity that's required to move up: Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements
The way that the forum is structured and designed makes it rather unintuitive to seek out specific stuff, so I thought I'd make a topic about it.
This assertion is not true, you can seek information on the forum even without asking anyone or starting a thread, all you need do is just to make use of the "search" button and you'll see topics were your "enquiries" have been discussed.
5060  Other / Off-topic / Re: [CyberSecurity] Have you ever been pwned? Protect yourself from cyberattacks. on: April 08, 2020, 04:38:49 PM
2. Try not to open phishing emails
People can also avoid receiving this emails by not giving out their email addresses unknowingly to scammers, either when they register for airdrops, scam ico, fake giveaways, signing up on dubious websites etc. They leave their address open to receive phishing emails, blackmails and even threats from scammers when they do. So they should always protect their email addresses.
