Gambling is like alcohol, everyone know what is bad and every taste it. But in long run you become alcoholic or a man who knows the measure. If you not an alcoholic means win in long run?
Gambling and alcohol are different, alcohol can brings few good effect for you as long as you don't drink too much, but gambling only will lead you to losses especially in long run. But, both of them are way to spend your money & get addicted. So, alcohol still has good effect even most people don't get good effect from alcohol while gambling don't have good effect at all. Nope basicly both of them is almost the same. Sometimes you can win too in gambling depends on how you can control it or not. If you can control yourself not to be that addicted Im sure you will get some profit |

Mathematically impossible.  You could maybe win for while but you'll always see that losing streak that wipe off your stash. you need to work on your math then. It's mathematically possible to win long term. Lets say it is possible but sometimes you will end up losing because of the luck factor. Gambling is scary by nature, I'm like the OP, never get the chance to embrace "The Luck". Depends on how scary that you described? Both of them rely on skill and luck, we also can analyze condition & think about strategy about how to make profit.
So, i think there aren't any major difference between stocks trading & gambling. The only difference is stock tradings is 100% legal, while gambling isn't legal.
Some gambling such as poker relies more on skill as you bet against other players. Dice is mainly lucky based. But poker need luck to for your own card and on the table. Sometimes you hold Ace pair you will lose to three's or something higher than that. Every gambling game sure need some luck to play, there are no game that depends more on skill |

Am I the only person here that feels relieved when they lose all their Bitcoins due to gambling ? I don't have to deal with the constant planning and dreaming in my head that maybe this time I will recoup my losses. I find that I also sleep like a baby afterwards.
Really? You didn't feel angry, or sad, or depressed? Wow, you must have some sort of super human powers.  I've experienced this once a while back, losing quite a few bitcoins from dice sites... I just felt really depressed for a bit then woke up the next day wondering "wait, why am I sad?" and then realizing.... "oh right." I think he loss is money deliberately. And all of these things he done is only for fun that why he didnt feel any depressed or sad, he got plenty of money to play there may be that is he reason to gambling from the start |

I can't agree with you because I meet some people that make living from gambling and they have such a good family though, although sometimes when they are losing it is a little bit hard for them but it is ok since they can maintain their financial problem so I dont think they will lose all of their family just because they lose on gambling |

But most of the addicted gamblers may be thinking on how to get some more money to gamble again. This will lead them to thick even harder to find a ways to generate money first to gamble again to bring back their loses. That's why we see may gamblers will be taking loans either with whatever they have collateral or they will try to cheat people to get money for gamble. That is a natural. There are no people in this world that satisfied when they are losing, at least they need to recover their loss no need profit just need their balance back again, that is why they keep on gambling to slowly earn their loss |

Someone manage to get over 1 btc with only faucet. All you need is a patience if you are gonna be playing from faucet. That should be a good if you just buys lotteries for fun and not very serious about making money out of it. Because lottery winnings are based on pure luck so just buy small amount when you have some extra money and if you win big money then you should consider very lucky but don't ever try to buy lot of lotteries to increase your winning chances. Why? I guess buying more lotteries to increase winning chance is good enough. That is my problem. I start to play in casino & dice sites and then spend a good amount of coins on them thinking that I will make huge profit, but I got it all wrong. The house will always win, but I guess being greedy is what makes my spend over and over again. Still, it is very fun and addicting to play them. That is why you need to set your goal on how much you will earn today. You need to set it according to your balance. If you got 1 btc may be 0.1 or 0.05 is good enough so you will not busted your coin there setting goals is not going to change the rolls ? its just the mentality to get some profit and cashout... I personally try to 10x + when i deposit.  Did you mean if you deposit 1 btc you will try to earn 10 btc? I dont think so that is possible. 10x is too much to handle, if you can double your coin in a day it will be good. 50% profit on day 1 is already been great |
