5041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In-play or pre-match staking on: October 28, 2020, 10:07:36 AM

I will like you people to let us discuss about pre-match type of staking or in-play staking in football, which one did you prefer? Which one is more risky?

My experience in staking is very limited. I think pre match staking depends a lot on your track record and how good you are in general, while in-play staking depends more on your daily play. The thing about in-play staking is that you have more information available, then when staking before. I would say that the latter is more risky. But overall staking shouldn't make a big difference in the performance of a professional.
5042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your fears in new cryptocurrency? on: October 28, 2020, 09:51:53 AM
In the beginning when I started investing in bitcoins I was afraid that the prices could drop over night and make my holdings worthless, but I have been around for years now and know that the even when prices drop, they will just recover in a few weeks. My main fear in crypto currencies these days is that the government could try to fight them, either by outright banning them and make crypto currency transaction illegal. Another form to fight the rise in cryptos could be to increase taxation. I know this doesn't seem very likely at the moment and should be more of a long term trend.
5043  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the Digital Yuan makes China even more powerful? on: October 28, 2020, 09:39:57 AM
China has been testing the Digital Yuan and soon the Digital Yuan (DCEP) will be implemented soon. Will this move make China even more independent and more powerful? And what are the consequences for the world trade?

Read the article: China Soon to Legalize Digital Yuan and Ban Other Stablecoins, DCEP to Work With WeChat and AliPay

I don't think so. China is still not a free country, the economy and the hole nation is being controlled by the communist party. The same goes for the currency, the Yuan is not freely traded. So the same will likely go for the digital Yuan. Investors in a digital currency looking for security and independence. I think this currency will likely be important within China, but not internationally.
5044  Other / Politics & Society / Re: how protests SHOULD be done on: October 28, 2020, 09:30:01 AM
so in the last 6 months we have seen many protests. and most end up just turning into riots/media circuses but dont cause actual change. and here is the reason
many idiots think a protest is about causing a riot/damage to get media attention under the hope that they can blackmail government into changing laws just to get the property damage to stop.
sorry this never works

I fully agree with you, this form of protesting is not about changing the system you live in, the riots are all about destruction and personal gain. The people looting are outright thieves and should be treated as such. They are not interested in changing their country, only in breaking things. And just look at the all the people they are hurting. Imagine one of your family member gets attacked by the riot, or their business is getting destroyed. Do you thing your family is going to vote for Democrats? These riots just make it worse. Already Mahatma Gandhi understand that protest needs to be peaceful.
5045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can i start a btc dice site with 30btc? on: October 28, 2020, 09:20:13 AM
i still have 15btc intact. do you think it is a good idea to start up a dice site with investors?

15 BTC is not so much anymore compared to initial 30 BTC. I would recommend to spread your risk a bit and take in some investors. If you experience a bad beat right now you should be able to recover in the next month. Or alternatively you could try to limit the max amount people can bet on your site. When you reduce the betting amounts for a while you should be able to limit your losses too.
5046  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sleeping on: October 28, 2020, 09:12:50 AM
For weekdays I sleep about 6 hours, except for holidays I can sleep up to 10 hours.  Grin

Same for me, during the week I try to get atleast 7 hours of sleep but it never works out. With checking the internet late at night on my phone it's usually 6 hours I only get. On the weekend I can sleep much longer when I don't have plans.
5047  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin ready for world wide 1 currency? on: October 28, 2020, 08:56:07 AM
I think Bitcoins are ready to be the World Wide Number 1 Currency, unfortunately most countries are not ready. The understanding of and believing in crypto currencies is not enough yet in most countries. Bitcoins are being used by many people all around the world, but the number of people who don't want use any internet currency is still high. Just by looking at my parents I see that lack the undestanding and are too afraid to try something new. They are just to old to go with cryptos. In 10-20 years most countries should be ready to adopt bitcoins as number one currency.
5048  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible Patterns of Recovery on: October 27, 2020, 09:16:36 AM
I think there are two big factors for the rectory from the pandemic which are going to have huge impacts on consumer and business sentiments. First of all will the news of a successful long term vaccine against corona finally signal an end to the pandemic. If there is a way to mass produce a functional vaccine that is affordable for all countries, even the poorest, than there is hope we have the worst behind us. The second big factor would be another round of government bailout for the companies. If the government would inject more money into the economy it would help everybody.
5049  Other / Off-topic / Re: The amount of people older than you never goes up! on: October 27, 2020, 08:50:38 AM
Just a fact I wanted to share.

It's kind of like a big battle royale game, where the number of competitors for oldest person just keeps going down. And you never know, maybe you're going to win, or in the future we'll all just live forever or for centuries.

Pretty crazy huh?

Yeah funny fact. The only way how this could happen if we were able to create people in the lab by genetic research. Imagine we could just grow people who are already 30 years old. That would change demographics completely.
5050  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why would anyone pay for Covid testing? on: October 27, 2020, 07:59:18 AM
In my country it's a bit different, you can get free test at the airport after travelling, but the results usually take 48 hours. And if you are in a hurry and need a faster test result you can get a test in 8 hours but have to pay for that. This is a pretty good trade off because not everybody can afford to pay for a test, so you get the basics for free, but for fast results you have to pay. This is of course only for the quick test that shows if you are infected with Covid-19 right now. The bigger blood test that shows if you had the corona virus in the past you don't get for free and cost around 80€ here. But who really needs that test?
5051  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: October 27, 2020, 07:45:28 AM
Some people believe, that they pay to much for fiat transaction and "banks just sit on their butts, do nothing and get rich by that". So they switch to cryptocurrency transactions. I partly agree with that. But I think, that a lot of people who thinks this way, at the time people switch to cryptocurrency transactions, will have same opinion about miners. They will argue that there people who bought hardware, plugged it in to power socket and not "sit on their butts doing nothing but getting rich".

What I'm saying, if right now we are discussing if "it is possible to live without banks?", then in 10-20 years (for example), we will be discussing if it possible to live without miners Smiley

Since the start of the pandemic I stopped almost completely to pay with cash, I am using my credit card for any transaction now, even if it's only a few bucks. I am paying a flat few for my FIAT card , so it doesn't really matter how many times I am using my card per month.

The fees for my card could be lower in my opinion, but I do understand that the banks are suffering in the low interest rate world. Banks are not earning that much on loans anymore so they need to earn there money elsewhere.

At the moment we still need banks and we still need our miners.
5052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery is a poor man's tax on: October 27, 2020, 07:14:27 AM

Do you think that the pros of playing lottery outweigh the cons or vice versa?

Is government owned lottery a scummy way to tax the poor people?

How far are you willing to gamble to win the coveted jackpot (If you are playing lottery)?

I understand why economicst would say that a Lottery is a poor man tax because for every 1$ you put in, the value of your winninng is only around 75cents because of taxes. But this assumes a linear preference function which is wrong in my opinion. Do we really value $1 Million the same as 1 million times $1? It's very unrealistic that we can save so much to reach $1 Million, which makes lottery so attractive for most people. Sure most of us will never win big, it's only a lucky few you experience that. But for the once that do it, it's life changing.

Viel Glück an Alle
5054  Economy / Economics / Re: Today is the Way when world economy will show on: October 26, 2020, 01:54:14 PM

Today the World economy
USA stock market is just a dip of the ice Berg.

But I go and maybe I Come Back after 3 days here by then a lot should be happened.

I think it mostly depends on the election in November. At the moment it looks pretty much like the democrats are winning and the markets are seeing it positive. Just look at bitcoins at the moment, 30% up in the last 4 weeks. That is pretty decent in my opinion. We shouldn't be too scared of the future because we might miss out on the next up trend. Once there are big news about a corona vaccine I think we will see even higher prices.
5055  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginning with Crypto on: October 26, 2020, 01:46:15 PM

Another way you can invest is day trading, which is a trading strategy where investors buy and sell orders for multiple times in one day. This requires more knowledge and skills. I suggest you use a demo account.

I would not recommend a beginner to go into day trading. There is a huge risk involved, any you have to pay transactions fees every time you trade, plus taxes (depending on your country) on top. Your recommendations about just buying and holding is probably the best strategy in my opinion for new people.
5056  Other / Off-topic / Re: Online Shopping on: October 26, 2020, 01:34:40 PM
I will say online shopping is a thing of the decade and it will continue to increase in dominance and acceptance from the global community.

I agree, especially now with the pandemic this year, we saw a huge increase in online shopping. In my city I keep seeing more and more food trucks from the big supermarkets deliverying food in the evenings. Unfortunately I think big stores in the city center are things from the past. The cheaper prices online will keep driving away the business who have to pay high rents and salaries.
5057  Other / Politics & Society / Re: All Christian Countries Got Fucked! on: October 26, 2020, 01:28:37 PM
I don't know where you are from but you should look at the difference between Christian and Catholics. Its obviously the Catholic that has the pope and influence over countries to which since the dawn of time, Roman Catholic had killed many lives even wipe out races. Which religion was it that was preached by the conquistadors from Spain?

Catholics have sided with Muslims in almost all the major conflicts. For example, in the Balkans (Bosnia, Kosovo, Krajina.etc), they were in alliance with the Muslims against the Orthodox Christians. Historically, European Catholics have regarded the pagans and Orthodox Christians as their main opponents, and have formed opportunistic alliances with the Muslims. And in many cases, these "opportunistic alliances" ended in a very bad state. For example, look at the current state of Catholics in Bosnia.

The case with Armenia-Azerbaijan is similar. Muslim countries such as Turkey and Pakistan are supporting Azerbaijan, just because the latter is Muslim. On the other hand, the Christian countries refuse to support Armenia, because they belong to a different sect.

I don't know, if you go back a few hundred years the Muslims and catholics were fighting in Europe and the Middle East. In current times most western countries don't try to fight based on religions. There are usually more issues to war than just religion, I would argue the wars usually take place because of economic reasons.

In the Armenia-Azerbaijan it's actually not Armenia at war. It's an automous region within Azerbaijan than is inhabited by Armenian people. The land is international recognised as Azerbaijan. So if Armenia would actually be at war I am pretty sure there would be countries come and support them.
5058  Economy / Economics / Re: Money Supply Growth Has Never Been As High As It Is Today on: October 26, 2020, 01:16:46 PM
Government find new solution for the crisis. However, this will make the situation even worse in the next years. Inflation will burn this money sooner or later

Inflation is a breaker for economic growth. Most government need to look for means to solve the inflation problem because the world crisis is increasing daily and price of goods keep going high because of scarcity. If you check into the European economy, you see hike a little in price and that is going to affect the euro, meaning more euro is going to chase few goods and inflation gets higher.

The thing is that inflation is not really that high at the moment. Sure food prices and services are rising, but there are other costs which are very low at the moment, like energy cost. In Europe for example the last two months we had a negative inflation even.

Euro area annual inflation was -0.3 % in September 2020, down from -0.2 % in August 2020.

5059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: October 26, 2020, 01:07:29 PM
Most skill games are card games including poker. I think even skill games depend on luck. It still depends on our technique because after all, gambling is still gambling and there's still no guarantee of winning.  Despite relying on your skills, it still isn't enough to have an assurance that you'll still earn and win.

Even though poker is a skill based game, there is a lot of luck involved. For example in my last two tournaments I went all in with AA and KK. Both of the hands where clear favourites ore flop and should have won in most cases, but I got busted against a set of 6s and my Kings vs a 89 offsuited straight. Sad times. Eventually the luck will come back, we just need to stick to our strategies and hope for the best.
5060  Other / Off-topic / Re: What brand of deodorant do you use? on: October 26, 2020, 12:07:31 PM
I am using the Nivea sports Deo lately because they offer a lot of times good deals in my city, you either buy 2 and get the 3rd for free or if you buy the shampoo you get a deo for free too. The brand is not so important for me, the most important part for me is that its with 0% aluminium.
