5041  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What kind of trader are you - Day Trader or Swing Trader? on: December 12, 2020, 09:50:05 AM
I can call myself as occasional trader because sometimes I do intraday trading and when I am not making enough profits then I will take a break for a while or even longer then will get back to trading. Currently not trading because this is bullish season so holding is better than making risky trades.

Trading at this season is a good choice too. Most altcoins now are on uptrend since the year is ending and bitcoin is predicted to break its ATH this year. It's riskier to trade when it's bear season because you don't know how low the price can go. I prefer trading during these times and less risky imo.
5042  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe support and resistance still work in crypto? on: December 12, 2020, 04:02:30 AM
I think that support and resistance are almost non-existant with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. At best you can see that Bitcoin is currently well established within the 10k to 20k range this year, but it very much feels like sudden unexpected shocks can cause the price to tumble. The bitcoin market has shown it can be entirely random and irrational, jumping thousands either way within a day. It feels a bit like technical traders are trying to project stock market techniques on to a highly unpredictable asset.

Bitcoin is very volatile but support and resistance also work on this type of asset. How can an experienced trader position its trade if bitcoin has no support and resistance? It moves in an unexpected way sometimes but not always what you think. Like now bitcoin has been stable around $18k so trading around this price can earn you some profit.
5043  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: December 11, 2020, 08:00:19 AM
Now that there is already a vaccine , could it be the end of covid- 19 virus? How are you after one year of covid-19 pandemic?

I'm just glad that I still have my work even if it pays only enough. I admire those who lose their job but still find a way to earn for their family. They are very resourceful and know other ways to earn beside their chosen profession. Even if there's a vaccine we can't guarantee that covid will be gone and won't return. Only few people are vaccinated so we can't assure that those are effective and won't cause some bad side effects to our body.
5044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Major Social Media Companies on: December 11, 2020, 06:52:42 AM
Facebook are very stricted on their platform. Even non bitcoin related streams or podcast are sometimes being taken down. You could try other streaming platforms like youtube or twitch. If you are dedicated on what you do, your number of your viewers will increase in time if they get interested in your content.
5045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I quit smoking and buy Bitcoin every week on: December 11, 2020, 05:41:11 AM
Good motivation for OP and I wish for your success. If you will succeed, you will have a good future ahead of you. You won't develop lung disease and will enjoy the bitcoins you'll buy today in the future. I hope others can make this example and think of a way for themselves to stop their vices, instead use it to buy bitcoin. There's no loss to this, you only need dedication to stop the vice you have.
5046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest 10 countries that gamble the most. on: December 11, 2020, 04:25:57 AM
~snip

Both countries from 2 sources have a big value of money so they will be surely the top 1. But if you look on Asian countries, there are large number of gamblers too. Some of them even spend more money on gambling than their daily needs. Like here in the Philippines, some people will choose to gamble than prioritze their money to buy food or other needs. Some don't even bother paying electricity bills so they end up no electricity when deadline comes. That kind of people always think that they would win if they gamble, they don't realize how much they lose already.
5047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you verify every bet as a gambler? Provably Fair Guide. on: December 10, 2020, 06:14:45 AM
Not really. If people playing gambling don't search for the money, they don't have to verify their bet. They will only want to enjoy the game without thinking of that. They will think that to verify their bet will need more time, and they will spend longer because their reason for playing gambling is just to having fun and enjoy the gambling games. I don't verify my bet too, and I am only just playing the games, enjoy it for some time, and stop it right away before I lose more money. If you want to verify your bet, you are free to do, but you need to think about how long you will stay on the gambling games and how much money you will spend.

Same for me, I gamble to reduce the stress after hours of work, and verifying each bet also take some time. I just enjoy the outcome of the game either I win or lose.
People that verifies their bet take gambling seriously, ofcourse you won't go to some unknown or not famous website to gamble some big amount of money so those popular or top rated websites are fair on their customers so I don't think you should be afraid if they are fooling you.
5048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Email address exposure in spreadsheet on: December 09, 2020, 08:54:05 AM
This is the reason why I avoid some bounty campaign or airdrops. The email address I used can be seen by anyone and it's possible that someone will hack it so I can't guarantee that I'm the one that is going to benefit from that campaign. I'll just join it if the bounty manager is well reputed in this forum so I'll be at ease that my effort won't go to waste.
5049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone who have worked or currently working in casino? on: December 09, 2020, 12:37:41 AM
This one just came into my mind, since most gamblers are really losing money in a casino, I would like hear some advice from casino workers here on what to do as they are pretty much well expose to different scenario in a casino and probably know how to prevent getting ourselves in financial trouble.

Anyone with experience in gambling can answer this question even if they're not working in a casino.
If you don't want to get into financial trouble then you should manage your gambling spendings properly, learn also to control your emotion when you win or lose. Don't chase your losses and don't be greedy if you win some amounts.
5050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the odds of other outcomes matter to you? on: December 08, 2020, 10:54:19 AM
But do really gamblers contented in small wins?though i believe that this is depend on what Gambling are we performing  but For a gambler that also fan of that game or team yeah small wins means a lot because aside from supporting his team he also gather some amount considering that the win itself is a good thing that happens that day.

Even if it has a small profit, it has less risk compared to when betting on a team with higher odds. Team with higher odds are also decided by people that bet on them, if they have high odd then it means they have a small chance to win. Then if the opposite happens, your favorite team has higher odds which means they are likely to lose then it's up to you to decide if you trust them that they can beat their opponent in that game.
5051  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What kind of trader are you - Day Trader or Swing Trader? on: December 08, 2020, 09:05:26 AM
Day trader so I can monitor my daily profit and analyze it weekly or monthly how much I earned through that time. As a day trader, I can also position myself depending on the market's movement on that day. It's also less risky and sometimes I can choose what crypto to trade so I can gain more profit.
5052  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of Bitcoin may increase normally but not as much as 400K on: December 08, 2020, 02:30:11 AM
Of course, it is very difficult to reach the price of $ 400k for Bitcoin, especially if you see that there are still many people who don't
know about Bitcoin. And also the lack of support from the government for Bitcoin, going up to $ 400k is a slightly impossible target
given the current conditions. But if we look at the increase in Bitcoin over 11 years it is quite drastic in my opinion when compared
to other assets. Proving that there is still some hope of the $ 400k target Bitcoin can achieve, even if it will take a relatively long time.
Because Bitcoin's realistic target for the end of this year is $ 21,000 - $ 22,000.

And at that price many people would become very rich, imagine the USD value of the holdings of some whales. Fiat printed on US won't be enough to provide the equivalent value of their bitcoin. Even 100k is too much imo, I know bitcoin started less than a dollar each but dreaming of it above $50k is impossible for me right now.
5053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japan becomes more friendly towards Gambling on: December 08, 2020, 01:57:54 AM

This is beneficial to their government but I think this is not good to their citizens that gambles alot. They will tend to spend more money on gambling since if they win some amounts, they will get the whole amount of their winnings. Casinos will also see an increase on their revenue with this policy.
5054  Economy / Economics / Re: The 2nd generation of banking is going digital on: December 07, 2020, 05:52:46 AM
Digital banks are really better compared to the traditional ones. It changed the lives of many people in terms of convenience. Sending to someone was made easier. And some digital banks even offers to pay bills. You can also easily track your transactions by using this. Though it has some disadvantage as sometimes some people can't control their spendings because of the convenience of using digital banks.
5055  Economy / Economics / Re: 2020-2021 best year if You Want to become rich no skills needed on: December 07, 2020, 03:29:38 AM
There are so many people like you thinking 2021 will be the real breakout year for Bitcoin.

Will 2021 be really a good year for bitcoin? I'm still skeptical because I've seen its up and downs since its last ATH, and I can say bitcoin is a very volatile asset to invest. I'm hoping for a positive outcome but I just can't get out of my mind how hard will it dump after it reaches its new ATH. I'm just hoping that bear season last year won't happen again.
5056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Having trouble earning bitcoin? Listen up on: December 07, 2020, 02:40:58 AM
I'm looking at the economics of youtube channels and it seems really possible to earn some money without needing to be a youtube superstar, which I didn't think was possible. Some of the channels I watch have pretty basic visuals, not much fancy hardware is used, you just need to have something interesting to talk about !

Having a youtube channel also is not easy, you must always have interesting and consistent content that will attract many viewers in the long run. I saw many youtubers get tired after making some videos because they don't really like doing it.

The rest of his proposals seem to me like "side-jobs" that could eventually lead to earning a living, and indeed such side-jobs are often various tasks that you can do in your spare time.

Not all have spare time and even if they do, they will just spend it on something they really like. Let's say after your 8hrs job, are you still willing to do those side-jobs? You'll only do it a few times but in the long run, you will get tired and stop doing it.

I prefer using our own skill to earn bitcoin, even if it's not related to crypto it's not bad to buy it with your own salary if you really want to invest in this for your future.
5057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: has bitcoin achieved its goal? on: December 07, 2020, 12:51:00 AM
For me, bitcoin hasn't achieved its goal yet. Though mass adoption is increasing still only a few people know are well educated on what it is. Some people still think that bitcoin is illegal and it is used by criminals in their transaction. It will take some years to see if bitcoin will be acknowledged by most people, seeing the current situation I think that is possible.
5058  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: why bitcoin price is growing and typical traders fomo on: December 06, 2020, 10:48:00 AM
When bitcoin is at low price we are afraid to buy because we think it's going to dump more but when its price goes up we don't know where to buy at the proper price. FOMO is difficult to control, what I do is when I already bought it at somewhere at a high price I avoid looking at my price tracker app. And I think people that are most affected by this feeling is those who can only buy using their extra money. They won't afford to buy again if price goes down more.
5059  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best way to trade with Bitcoin approaching $20K? on: December 06, 2020, 10:07:23 AM
We can't really know if it will break the ATH in the next few days or go below $19k price. To be sure set a buy order so when it dumps you can still trade. It's very risky to enter the market now because many are excited to break the ATH so it depends on you if you are still going to trade.
5060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the odds of other outcomes matter to you? on: December 06, 2020, 06:34:08 AM
So when you are placing bets, does this difference between the odds of the favorite and other outcomes matter to you?

This always matter to me, it helps me who has better chance to win and most of them are correct. Though betting on lower odds gives only a small profit, it is not a risky thing to do. Placing bets on higher odds will double or triple, or even more your profit but the risk of losing is very high. Sometimes I bet on both sides if the odds of the other team is too big.
