5041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Super League (ISL) Football match updates, predictions and discussions on: January 24, 2020, 04:29:15 PM
I am new to the Indian Super League and I never have played them mostly because I think or I have heard that the referees impact the games greatly,I have heard that the home team wins most of the time. However I am changing opinion about that after reading through the pages of this thread as no one is complaining about such thing.

It is a franchise league and all the matches are being telecast live through multiple channels. So it is not possible for the referees to act in a biased manner. If they do so, then the team owners would launch a complain against them and they'll never get to officiate another match. Till now, I haven't observed any such incidents in the matches that I have watched.
No match looked to be fixed or as a win through some cheats. Mistakes were common with referees, and in such a way there were few matches in which the wrong decision from the referee served to be the turning point of the match. The success of the tournament reflects through the increase of fan base every year. Another thing if it wasn't taking place perfectly now it might have not reached the sixth season.

I completely agree with your post, and I never found anything objectionable about the way the Indian Super League is being conducted. The league is attracting a lot of new fans and it has contributed significantly to the growth of football in India.

BTW, today we had the Hyderabad vs Mumbai City match, which ended in 1-1 draw. Hyderabad is looking hapless, with just 1 win from their 14 matches. I can't remember the last time when any of the ISL teams had such a bad tournament.

After such a good partnership between Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Naim, I expected the Bangladeshis to make a total of somewhere around 160. But they ended up at 141/5. Such a total was not going to bother the Pakistanis much. And they never looked to be under pressure at any point during the chase. All credits to Shoiab Malik. He's 38 years old, and still going strong.
There were talks about the Bangladesh team not willing to travel and then there were topic about the security they will be getting but i never saw anyone discussing about the match and i came to know about the match when i saw the score update as notification that Shoaib Malik played and took the team to victory and i was surprised as i thought his career is literally over. Pakistan started well in the series and today India and Pakistan won their respective matches by chasing  Grin.

Shoaib Malik reminds me of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Both are of the same age (38 years) and the fans in their respective countries are heavily polarized between those who argues for them to be allowed in the team, and those who want them to retire. But I can tell you one thing. Pakistan needs Malik now to stabilize their playing XI. The younger players are not performing that well.

Sure the Zimbabwe team is in a state of flux but they are in this situation well over a decade and nothing has changed as of yet.

Zimbabwe is a failed country with a failed political system. The same can be said about the cricket team as well. Two decades back, they were being regarded as one of the strongest underdog sides. Players such as Neil Johnson, Andy Flower and Andy Blignaut helped them to upset many of the bigger teams. But when politics and sports got mixed, the team simply started disintegrating.

Incredible match ongoing at the U19 World Cup. New Zealand needs 193 to win against India, in 23 overs (Required Run Rate of 8.39 runs per over). New Zealand is off to a very strong start, and as of now they are from 74/1 from 7 overs. Rhys Mariu has scored 38 from 24 balls and he is smashing the Indian bowlers all around the park. BTW, both the teams have already qualified for the next stage.

With KL Rahul coming as a n opener I do not think Shaw will get the chance to open. I think he will come after Virat as that where the Indian team is struggling. After Virat the batting oder is very shaky. There is a need for a stong and stable bats man after him.

Shaw may get a chance, but he is more likely to bat in the middle order. The Indian top order right now is composed of top players such as Kohli, Rohit and Rahul and there is no room for anyone else unless some of these players gets injured. On the other hand, the middle order batsmen (apart from Sreyas Iyer) are not in good form and the selectors will be more open to replacing them.
5048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 24, 2020, 02:47:22 PM
Towards the end Sheyas Iyer who's innings was due finally provided his point today by smashing the ball all round the park and making quick 58 runs in 29 balls and helped India to win the match by 6 wickets and 1 over to spare. He was named Man of the Match for his brilliant batting.

Sreyas Iyer is the future of Indian T20 squad. I won't be much surprised, if he becomes the captain after the end of Kohli/Rohit era. As of now, I regard him as the best among the younger players. He is much more consistent and skilled, when compared to the others in his group, such as Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Karun Nair and Manish Pandey.
5049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fraud victim,75, loses £11k in life savings! Secure your BTC just now! on: January 23, 2020, 05:43:00 PM
BBC reported that a 75-year-old woman is warning others of the dangers of an online scam that has cost her her life savings. She lost 11K EURO!! You can see the news from here, https://www.bbc.com/news/amp/uk-england-devon-51205126

Guys, don’t think too much to spend 100-150 USD, buy a hardware wallet right now! You are not safe in any online wallet by 100 percent!

Hey OP, your post makes no sense. She invested in a scam, and that is the reason she lost her savings. When I first saw the title of the thread, I though someone had hacked the poor lady's online wallet and stole all her coins. But that is not the case. She willingly sent all her coins to some criminal and now there is no way to recover them. And a hardware wallet would have made no difference in this case.
5050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay Away of this scam Coin on: January 23, 2020, 05:34:10 PM
This is just a typical shitcoin scam. In such cases, the coin will be listed in just one or two exchanges, which makes it easier for the whales to manipulate the exchange rates. Another example of such coin is IOUX. It is being traded primarily in Coinsbit. But here, Coinsbit has disabled the IOUX deposits, which means that an artificial scarcity is created for this coin. As a result, the prices have increased by 20x during the past few weeks.
5051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH: Miners should donate...or else on: January 23, 2020, 05:25:21 PM
This is a very illogical move from the developers. Perhaps they want the medium sized and small sized miners to drop off, so that the handful of mega-sized miners can compete among themselves. Among all the Bitcoin forks, BCH is the coin where large-scale miners have absolute dominance in the mining sector. And steps such as this one will ensure that things will remain the same in the future as well.
5052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Ethereum replaces Bitcoin someday? on: January 23, 2020, 05:19:18 PM
To add more to your statement. Eth dropped to top 3 when xrp took over the 2nd spot last year I really though that was the downfall of eth. That alone is the basis whether eth could replace bitcoin or not. I don't even see an alt in the market that come closer to where btc is today sitting atop of everybody with a very very far gap.

In reality, XRP never became the 2nd ranked cryptocurrency. The methodology for calculating the market capitalization of cryptocurrencies is flawed. In case of XRP, anywhere from 80% to 90% of the circulating supply is not in free-float. So the exchange rate of the remaining 10% to 20% is inflated. And they use the exchange rate of this 10% to calculate the market cap of Ripple. The actual market cap would be much lower than this amount.
5053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 23, 2020, 05:12:25 PM
Zimbabwe would be disappointed they way they batted in 2nd innings considering the first innings showed some confidence in the team that they can steal at make some respectable score and the way they got out in 2nd would be point of worry for them. SL did good to get them all out quickly and win the match by 10 wickets .

This is what low morale can do to players. Taylor, Ervine, Jarvis.etc are playing county cricket in England they had virtually zero interaction with the other team members. And this was the reason for the lack of team bonding. The Zimbabwe team is always in a state of flux. No one knows who will go missing from the team and who will be coming back. But I am sure about one thing. There is still a lot of talent there and if all the experienced players turn out for the national side regularly, then they will be able to give good fight to the visiting sides.
5054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 23, 2020, 03:39:04 PM
They have some name doesn't means they can beat test team like Sri Lanka who did beat South Africa in their own home. You must need to understand Test cricket is very different game of cricket, you require to play very good cricket all 5 days to beat any good team not just 1 inning or 1 day.

I never said that the Zimbabweans played well at any point during the test. They were horrible, right from the first day. I was saying that, on paper the strength of the Zimbabwe team looked great. Sri Lanka was not doing well.. at least during the past few months. So before the match, I was expecting a close contest between the two sides (which was proved wrong).
5055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it still possible to invent certain Altcoin that can be better than Bitcoin? on: January 23, 2020, 03:33:17 PM
As of now, more than 10,000 different altcoins exist. And none of them have managed to give tough challenge to Bitcoin, which happens to be the original cryptocurrency. And the OP is talking about a scenario in which some new coin is going to do what all these thousands of alts failed to do. Theoretically, it may be possible. But I don't think that it will happen anytime soon.
5056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum About to Break Out of a 2-Year Bear Market? on: January 23, 2020, 03:23:06 PM
If you want to talk about the bear market affecting Ethereum, then it is necessary to talk about the bullish phase which preceded that. You have mentioned about the phase in which ETH lost 90% of its value (2018-19). But you also needs to mention about the bull run in 2017, when ETH gave 120x returns for the investors (as a result of the ICO hype).
5057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 23, 2020, 03:15:13 PM
Sri Lanka just needs another 11 runs to win the match. This has been a remarkable turn around. The Zimbabwe middle order and tail collapsed like a peck of cards. The Zimbabweans should be ashamed of this performance. This was a golden chance for them to win a test match, and they wasted it. Now there will be a lot of pressure on Zimbabwe and their test status can be under threat.

Seriously dude, where they had chance to win the test match? They had the chance to draw easily but 5th day pressure, they were not able to handle and even we can't blame them if 3-4 players debut the match, it was never easy for them, but they played brilliantly 1st inning so they deserve praise.

Loosing on 5th day and last hour is not a shame at all when everyone was expecting 3 days test match from this new team.

I was just saying that defeating the weakened Sri Lanka side would have been their easiest shot at a test victory. They failed to do that, and it is an entirely different story. Brendan Taylor, Kyle Jarvis, Craig Ervine, Sean Williams.etc are world class players. If Zimbabwe can't win a test match even after including all these players... then may god help them.
5058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin provides more long-term profits on: January 23, 2020, 03:03:25 PM
many choices, the price is relatively cheaper than bitcoin and the opportunity to make more profit. Maybe there are some benefits if I spend more of my money investing in altcoin and holding it for the long term. But the negative value that I found is that the influence of bitcoin is too big on altcoin until now.

If you want to invest in altcoins, then it is your choice. But you need to remember a few things before taking that step. Considering the fact that 99% of the altcoins have failed to deliver, you need to chose those coins which has a real life usage. Also, you need to make sure that the developers are honoring the timelines without much delay.

5060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH, BSV more profitable than Ethereum? on: January 23, 2020, 02:09:37 PM
There is a lot of hype surrounding the ongoing court case between Craig Wright and the nominees of Dave Kleiman. And this is the reason why BSV went up so much during the past few weeks. But you need to be very careful before investing in BSV. If Craig Wright loses the court case, then the value of BSV can plummet. There is even a chance that it can become worthless.
