5061  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you use Bitcoin for ? on: March 19, 2018, 06:46:20 PM
I don't use bitcoin for any real life purposes, for the moment I am only holding my coins. The main reason why I don't use it, is the volatility; volatility will always be a major issue if you want to use bitcoin as a payment processor.
5062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 19, 2018, 02:13:17 PM
Yeah, too bad that Federer lost, but based on the comments and statistics, it was a great match. I read an interview after the match of Federer where he mentioned that he is a little bit disappointed to have lost, but he found it a lovely match to play and the reason he is still going on is that he loves being on the tour, travelling and playing around the world.

The first good news in weeks for crypto! Hopefully more good news will follow so that the prices can start going up again.
5064  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: March 19, 2018, 01:01:16 PM
Gambling nothing but having a fun not just wasting money. For me, gambling means pay my money to enjoy my time but I don't get that enjoyment by buying lotteries. I don't know about you. I'm okay to spend that money on either playing dice game or some other slot games sometimes.

Sure, but each to their own. I don't generally buy lottery tickets either, as in here or land-based ones like Euromillions, but I know people that do and they get some enjoyment out dreaming what they would do with all that money if they win.

I just think those two comments I replied to that were telling people 'don't buy lotto tickets' were a bit inane. It's just long odds gambling like playing dice with a high multiplier, you know you'll probably lose but if you get lucky you'll win big.

That's what I do, every week I buy lottery tickets on freebitco.in (and euromillions). Chances are very low to win, but I find it fun and if you don't play than there is 0% of chance to win something.

5067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will you HODL or sell if BTC crashes further down? on: March 18, 2018, 07:25:20 PM
I didn't see this crash coming, but I don't think we are yet at the bottom. For the moment the market is way too volatile for me to do any sort of trading (buying or selling) so I am just holding.
5068  Economy / Economics / Re: if bitcoin cant scale how does it reach 1 million in 2020? on: March 17, 2018, 12:32:13 AM
I don't believe anything of what John McAfee says lol. He is known for hyping some shitcoins and sell them at the peak of the pump to win big profits.
I can see the bitcoin price going up again in the future, but 1 million seems a little bit too high too reach  Cheesy.
5069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any speculation about my portfolio? on: March 17, 2018, 12:21:32 AM
You have a solid portfolio, like others has mentioned the % of Waves is too high. Never put all your eggs in one basket, but this is up to you.
But I am wondering why you don't have BTC or LTC in your portfolio?
5070  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: COINDEAL.com <- made me redo my losses!! on: March 16, 2018, 08:14:56 PM
There seems be a new trend as these new exchanges with "highly experienced teams" keep popping up daily. Why should we ever trust these new exchanges with no reputation, no guarantees... Only use reputable exchanges (coinbase, bittrex, kraken) with  a solid reputation to exchange/trade your coins.
5071  Economy / Exchanges / Re: SIGEN is a cryptocurrency trading platform. Exchange, P2P platform and exchanger on: March 16, 2018, 07:38:26 PM
Problem is this is a brand new exchange and nobody should trust exchanges which pop up like mushrooms overnight. There is no credibility and no integrity. No track record and no extensive positive feedback. Anyone can hire coders and software people to create an exchange or trading platform in a matter of days and have it running with impressive words and nice UIs. For starters, you could be scammers hoping to cash in by enticing people to send coins to your hot wallets.

I suggest you escrow a large enough amount of bitcoins for the peace of mind of your customers. Nobody will send coins to your wallets upfront.

Here is a list of forum escrows:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910

Escrowing coins helps show you have good intentions. Again, nobody will send coins to your exchange upfront. I urge and advice everyone to avoid using this exchange until solid guarantees are arranged with a reputable escrow on this forum.

Exactly, why would we trust a brand new site with our money/bitcoins if we don't have any guarantees. I will not use these new exchanges even if there would be no fees, as there are already some established exchanges online such as coinbase and kraken, which have build up their trust since a couple of years.
5072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 16, 2018, 07:17:01 PM
It seems to me that Federer is the only top 10 player currently in form. Cilic has ok form as well but for some reason he is always awful on this tournament. Since I am from Croatia I have mostly watched matches from domestic players and I must say that I am very impressed how Borna Coric and Petra Martic played this week. OK, Petra is out but she played great match vs. Halep yesterday, really enjoyed the contest.
Well most of the players are currently injured and those who recently returned from injury are still not back to their best yet and even when they are their best, i doubt they would prove troublesome for Roger Federer who is enjoying a fine rejuvenation at this period.

Correct most of them are physical injuries or have a some sort of mental or personal issues to deal with. Just glad that Roger Federer is the last man standing and has taken care of his health up to this level. Remember last year and this year, he chooses which tournament to enter so that it will reduces pressure on his mind and body that why is is like Federer 2.0 so much energy and somewhat rejuvenated.

King Roger like good wine seems to improve getting older.
He is already in the semifinals at Indiana Wells (without losing 1 set) and if he wins the next match he will improve his personal record of consecutive wins at the beginning of a season (17).
The next record of 100 won tournaments is very close.

Federer is just incredible! With this form, I can't see anyone who will be able to beat Roger for the title on Indian Wells.
Chung is also busy on a strong year, semi final at the Australian open and now quarter final at Indian Wells.
5073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Day trader or Hodler, what's the right choice? (in bear market) on: March 16, 2018, 07:06:26 PM
Day trading can be very lucrative as it is very risky. Given the current high volatility on the market, I think nowadays it is very difficult to gain proftit by day trading. I am a long term holder (over 1 year).
5074  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Trend Panic Sell Mar-Apr 2018 on: March 16, 2018, 03:19:58 PM
I see btc currently trending between 8000-10000. Most of the gurus were unable to predict the value of btc and some of them told it will be similar trend in march and april, even some news i heard that btc will down upto 2000$. I dont know what should i do

There is no one who can really predict the bitcoin price, people who claim that they can with technical analysis or charts, should not be believed.
You can find sites/blogs who claim that bitcoin will drop further and other sources will tell the exact opposite. Just wait and hold your coins!
5075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $5k Portfolio on: March 15, 2018, 04:44:37 PM
What currencies would you buy with, and why? Looking to make a great portfolio, and somewhere to start. LTC got my attention, but the recent news kind of scares me owning so much of it. I'd like to stay towards the more well known Crypto's and no shit coins. I'd like to stay in the top 15-20

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on ICO stage right now and already on the exchanges, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2659058.0

Ethereum Meta is a classic example of a shitcoin.
As the OP wants to buy coins in top 15, than why not buy an equal portion of them all and hold them for a long time. But I don't think you should buy anything right now, the market is too volatile.
5076  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: March 15, 2018, 04:39:08 PM
is it medirectbank provide account opening for non BE residents? On the online form, it seems to me that you need to be BE resident to open account here.

You need to have a registered residence in Belgium or in the EU to open an IBAN account with banks in Belgium. They all comply with EU regulations so you can expect strict KYC procedures. Relaxing the procedures will open opportunities for money laundering and account misuse by fraudsters so yes, be prepared to be identified.

I doubt you can open an account online. If a bank allows it, it will only be activated after they sight your documents. There is no shortcut to an easy IBAN account. They all adhere to EU rules.

You are 100% correct. You can open an account online, but before it is activated you need to send over a copy of your ID card  and a proof of residence.
5077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "All in Challenge" start with $10 and make $1000 on sports bet on: March 15, 2018, 03:17:28 PM
Rofl.  One of the dumbest things a gambler could do is go all in.  But hey it's a challenge, if it does well in promoting the site then why the hell not, right?  Wink

Good luck to you sir.

Edit:  I'm curious, what sports betting sites do you use?

Yeah I have seen this challenges a lot on another betting forum, many participated and all failed lol. Anyway good luck to you and keep us updated  Smiley.
5078  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: March 15, 2018, 03:03:11 PM
Hi Friends !

Yesterday LUCKY NUMBER 0 - 9885 paid 0.00000023 BTC.
Today only 0.00000012 BTC.    Huh
Very funny waste of time from now.
Regards !

What are you talking about? On my end lucky number 0 - 9885 is rewarded 0.00000025 BTC. Here you have full table:

https://i.imgur.com/Fqu63Nx.jpg

Anyway these rewards depend directly on the price of Bitcoin permanently.

It's working fine for me but there are people complaining of lower payouts in the other thread (Micro earnings board) so there might be some bug/issue ongoing.

I'm having same problem - instead of 24 Satoshi I'm also getting only 12 Satoshi. I'm not sure that's a bug. Maybe now payments are based on country - if you are from tier 1 country, you are getting full reward, if not - only 50% of basic reward. It looks that there aren't same scenario as on Freedoge.co.in, where basic reward halved for all users.
But now we need to wait for announcement from Myfe or wetsuit to give more details about what's going on on Freebitco.in currently.

I have seen this problem already a couple of times. It has nothing to do with your country, most probably freebitco.in is thinking that you are trying to cheat the system and therefore the reward is halved. You should contact wetsuit and he will resolve this situation for u.
5079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BitLeek? on: March 15, 2018, 02:49:53 PM
Nowadays, you don't get anything anymore for free, not in real life and not on the internet. Don't trust any applications who promise free coins upon downloading/installing.
5080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red. red....RED...how bad is your portofolio affected? on: March 15, 2018, 02:45:02 PM
Luckily I bought most of my bitcoin and altcoins already last year, so I am still in profit  Smiley. The market nowadays is very volatile, so I am not buying anything until the price stabilizes a little bit.
