It doesn't "happen all the time". They aren't refunding peoples cash. They are giving them Bitcoins they didn't intend on buying. Do you have a business that drafts from peoples accounts? It's kind of a big deal to double tap peoples shit and then not give them their money back at least... Actually, they are refunding the money. Originally we decided it was best to resolve this by crediting the amount of bitcoin for the second charge, but customer feedback indicates a strong preference for a direct and immediate refund of the full amount. to me like the most reasonable solution in this case. It's unfortunate how this even happened, but that they are "shady" because of this, definitely not.
They would prefer not to incur overhead costs that would be incurred if refunding customers correctly. They are forcing customers to take on additional capital investment positions that they never sought to take. And since the price of bitcoin has downtrended during/after the period in question, everyone affected is in a losing investment position. I think it's despicable, actually. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Coinbase is willing to do some nasty ass things to support their shit. That pump n dump on the downtrend market was fairly beastly as well earlier this year. Just keep pounding them with complaints to Local, State and Federal people. They are one of the easiest places to get coins in my experience and despite this error (all businesses have errors), I still think they are a great company. You want to take down coinbase? Don't see how that will be good for adoption. Fuck adoption if it requires getting scammed by these bastards. Pirateat40 and the Silk Road were good for adoption... Coinbase just road the coat tale and leached off the real hustlers. Bitcoin vendors are pimples. Once you pop one about 3 more larger ones show up. I don't find this sketchy, its pretty standard.

Seems like a shady ass way to sell twice as many Bitcoins and then tell people to fucking bad. I will be filing complaints against this company in regards to this and strongly suggest others to do the same. The more complaints... the faster the FED can pwn these fucks... the faster we can sue them into the middle of next year for their pump and dump "Rick Roll" scam news without as many worries if the FEDS didn't pwn them. |

Started using your ads the other day and noticed some problems with how the information is reported.
I posted ads from one domains code to another domain and it is very clearly not matching the sum of the two domains traffic vs my Google Analitics.
I'm going to make a separate code for each site from now on.
Feel free to PM me and I'd be happy to show you what I'm talking about.

Coinwallet.eu is not an actual business and will one day disappear. Stress testing a product is part of every sound engineering process that wants to improve a product and make it more robust. While very inconvenient when this happens it can only get out stronger. The problem here is that testnet can't simulate every real cases.
No. You and I both know sound engineering isn't the reasoning behind these attacks. They are attacking the network trying to force a sketchy ass fix. Perhaps Coinwallet.eu could use some stress testing on their product to assure their engineering is sound... you know... to help make it more robust. |

Regardless, now I've read it, the letter contains a few statements I would have found it tough to agree with. It refers to "the consensus building process". There is no such process. This point has been hammered home over and over again by now, but unfortunately, the Bitcoin Core developers seem to be in denial about it. Whenever we ask somebody to write down this process or tell us what it is, most of them go silent and Adam points to "BIP 1", which doesn't specify any decision making process or means for resolving disagreement. It suggests a continuation of the mentality that every decision has one clearly correct answer on which literally everyone can agree if only there is enough time spent talking. That's clearly not the case here. I'm honestly not sure what else I can do at this point. The Core developers continue to insist that they have some deeply scientific, academic and professional decision making process. They just won't say what it is. They will say, though, "give it more time". It says: We ask the community to not prejudge and instead work collaboratively to reach the best outcome through the existing process and the supporting workshops
This sounds fantastic - there is an existing process and the workshops will support that process. But this just continues to reflect confusion around what these workshops are actually intended to do. That was the case up until April of last year. Lots of people really don't like this idea because it sounds so fragile, but for most of Bitcoin's history technical disputes were resolved through Gavin making proposals, listening to feedback and then making a decision in reasonable amounts of time.
