Yes you're right, and that's why you need a reputation of being trustworthy and your name should actually mean something to people over rank (though rank is a good indication of the time you have put in or spent here) but being here for next to no time with no evidence of previous trades makes you wholly unqualified and untrustworthy to offer escrow services not to mention your suspicious posting history makes you even more suspect. Can you explain why you made no posts since Dec 2014 then suddenly spammed around 70 on the 10th of June on the day you offer to escrow? This account looks very likely to be purchased to me which adds even more reason why you and rank shouldn't be trusted.


You become trustworthy first and build your rep up slowly over time and not the other way around. Using you defeats the purpose of an escrow. How do we know you're not going to run off with the first amount you like the look of? Someone else did a similar thing to you recently offering to escrow then a day later he run off with a tiny amount of someones money (though not via an escrow but still highlights my point).

You are not far off being a Member so just wait till then and join a campaign like Rollin. Junior Members don't have much space in their signature so most campaigns choose not to accept them, not to mention lower ranks tend to not make great posts.

This is a forum not an obituary. It's really not even feasible to do this nor do the admins have time to verify who might be dead or not and it would be hard to verify completely. How do we know when someone is dead? When their "relative" pops and announces that user x died yesterday? Or would we need their death certificate? Even that wouldn't prove much seeing as 99% of people here are nameless or anonymous. When most people die their online social media accounts etc will just die with them and become inactive, but anyone who has contributed to bitcoin and passed on like Finney will be remembered by the work they did, but for every regular user here they will just cease to post and become inactive. I reckon people would also likely just try exploit this as well and it would be quite easy to try fake your own death with online obituaries etc.

Now Quickseller is a person I would vouch for. Don't think he's run a campaign before but he does escrows and I'm sure he'd do a good job and keep a close eye on participants.

I cannot vouch for you because I have no idea how well a job you would do and would only vouch for someone if I trusted them and felt they could do a good job and I have no reason to do so for you currently (but that's not to say I distrust you but you're partially putting your rep on the line when you do vouch for another so would only do it if I was very confident in that person).

Please don't speak for other people. I find this quite questionable behaviour and very biased especially when your yourself want the position. If I was too busy to run extra campaigns I wouldn't offer. I would rather he pick someone who is experienced and/or can be trusted to do the job than take a risk on a first timer who has little trust or previous trade history. Being a campaign manager is more than just saying "you're in" and paying people at the end of the month but you need to be trusted to be able to do that whilst also keeping an eye on users.


You get the reputation first, then you can be trusted to do the job.  Trying to build it as you go along is the wrong way to go about it.
