Maze Protocol -  4 million US dollars

"The BSC project Maze Protocol was attacked by hackers, and more than 4 million US dollars were suspected to be stolen. Certik also audited and issued a report."

https://twitter.com/WuBlockchain/status/1425970290660544515

"Maze Protocol:The hacker exploited a leak that allowed borrowing assets based on users’ collateral and sending funds directly to the attacker’s address.
The asset pools have been frozen to prevent more attacks. The remaining funds are safe. The website is temporarily shut down."

DAO Maker Compensation Plan

"
Phase 1: The SHO Must Go On
500 USDC will be airdropped to all affected users’ wallets without delay.

Phase 2: Remaining 65% Refund & Liquid IOU Tokens
Given that the net exploited amount was $7M, the amount due (after the $2.5M deposit to users’ escrow) equals $4.5M. This $4.5M will be provided to users in exactly one year’s time in the form of DAO tokens at the future market price.

5062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano Smart Contracts coming soon? on: August 13, 2021, 10:24:39 PM
Cardano (ADA) is scheduled to upgrade its existing network they call it the Alonso Hard Fork. The biggest upgrade of this cardano has
privileges capable of facilitating smart contracts on its network. If the cardano smart contract really happens
do you think cardano will be able to become a rival to bitcoin, ethereum and binance?
Your opinion its appreciated in this discussion.  Smiley

The Ethereum killer still doesn't have smart contracts. It's not funny anymore.
Tell me, why do I need Cardano?

"Are you, personally,  able to use $ADA for anything ? If so, what have you used it for ? That's the question I ask about all Crypto. Do you find yourself using it for anything that you find value in ?"

1. Dego
2. KardiaChain
3. Poolz Finance
4. FEG

Please let's share ideas on these already listed. However, if anybody have any promising projects. Kindly add up in the threads.

Thanks all
Have you tried a little analytics?
Answer at least simple questions:
At what price were the tokens of these projects bought by large investors and funds?
Was there a vesting and what were its conditions?
How many coins are currently traded on the market and how much the token price is higher than the price of initial investors
If the token price is already more than 50-100 times, then you probably need to look for another project or wait for a price dump.
5064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a new blockchain that will compete with Ethereum? on: August 13, 2021, 10:09:29 PM
We all know about huge transaction fees, not the most convenient scaling and the difficulties of entering the ecosystem. Are there projects that will provide people with the best conditions for the implementation of their ideas in the cryptoworld?
If we talk about commissions, then there are better projects, for example Tron. But there is nothing to do there Smiley
In Ethereum, it is better to use Level 2 Solutions.
It is also worth keeping an eye on the Cosmos and Polkadot projects. But they, too, will build their bridges with Ethereum.
You will not find Ethereum counterparts in decentralization.
5065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hoard Bitcoin? on: August 12, 2021, 03:15:29 PM
Because of the value of Bitcoin, people will hoard it,
Take me as an example. I will invest 20% of my salary in Bitcoin because I think Bitcoin is very valuable and I believe in Bitcoin, so I think Bitcoin is worth investing in.
But if you let me buy something with bitcoin, I will hesitate and pay with fiat currency first.
Although people can pay in any way, will Bitcoin be your first choice?
Now the difference between fiat currency and Bitcoin is that one is inflation currency and contraction currency. Inflated currency (fiat currency) means that if it inflates, you want to get rid of it as soon as possible. For example, we use fiat currency to buy things, invest in real estate, cryptocurrency, stocks. And to shrink the currency (Bitcoin) you buy goods or services, or hoard it. This has no effect on the economy, except to reduce the monetary base and make the currency more scarce, so deflation is faster.
In my opinion, Bitcoin is a store of value, not a currency. There may be cryptocurrencies becoming legal tender, but not now, volatility and supply and demand need to be considered.
Fiat currencies are losing their relevance because they print out of control.
As soon as the US prints the next batch of fiat, other countries rush to do the same. This is the path to the depreciation of fiat currencies and the transition to a new financial economy.
Bitcoin is also not eternal, it can also die as soon as it completes its task. But it won't be soon Smiley

5068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 what to expect on: August 12, 2021, 02:55:01 PM
Eth have high costs of transfers. New version 2.0. will bring low costs for users I hope and we have to wait a bit more. We need to be patient, that all we know sure.
Im  not sure about that. I didn't even see the blocksize has become a priority in the update. that means if there could be yes or not. Ethereum may get a cheap fees or never.
it depends on what kind of update that will come soon and if there will be a blocksize increase and that would be fine.
Gas limit has long been increased to 30,000,000
If you do not want to pay large commissions, then you will have to use solutions of the 2nd level, for example, optimism or polygon.
Interesting moments happen on the Ethereum network when more coins are burned in 1 hour than miners mine

LP tokens are credited when you add liquidity to the pool.
If you traded on a pool, these tokens are not credited.
When connecting to the pool, you should see your positions. If this does not happen, there may have been an error in the smart contract.
Or you connected from another wallet.

"The cybercriminal, after tentatively testing this exploit and managing to steal 10,000 USDC, then proceeded to quietly make 15 more transactions.
In this manner, the hacker was able to siphon approximately $7M, until our security team was able to trace, contain and stop the drain of funds. A total of 5251 users were affected, losing $1250 USD on average per user."

The ERC-20 standard allows you to choose any name of the token, only the address of the smart contract will be different.

Therefore, be careful when buying or selling tokens.

That is one of Ethereum disadvantages imho. Contract address is more important than combination of contract address+token name. Strange that deve did not forseeb that scammers will use that trick with names.
Im sure that a lot of people got scammed with BTC tokens on erc-20.
This is not a drawback of Ethereum, but a drawback of decentralized trading. Although probably not. An illiterate user will still lose money.
You can hardly buy fake tokens on a centralized exchange Smiley
The decentralized market is not subject to control, so you need to be doubly careful.
