5061  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How to avoid VAT when buying inside EU ? on: January 08, 2017, 04:31:42 AM
tbh with the average electricity costs in the EU you are better off finding a hosting partner in the US or Canada and getting the units delivered there.

Not VAT or import duty and lower overheads.
+1

Electricity bills will kill you. It's over 2x cheaper in the US.
The only good side of having it in the EU are those government issued eco grants, that you can use to get your own solar panels/ wind turbine.
5062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where and which part of day do you gamble? on: January 08, 2017, 04:08:18 AM
I usually prefer to gamble with my friends in the evenings playing poker. In the internet I like to prepare some drinks, good music and relax at a blackjack table or clicking on a slot machine. Usually both activities take place in the evenings or at night  Wink
5063  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Four blacks arrested for racist attack using needles on mentally ill white man on: January 05, 2017, 07:13:57 PM
They will claim they were mistreated by the police and that their arrest was aimed against the black race as a whole. They will get a black judge and a probation.
In a normal world they'd let that beaten guy decide what to do with them. I hope he'd hang them by their ankles in the main square and let people throw tomatoes at them Roll Eyes
5064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase hack rumor on: January 05, 2017, 07:08:42 PM
There has to be a hack or even a suspected one every time the price climbs, so the speculators can get more. We already had 5x China bans Bitcoin, we had a silk road bust, we had FBI auctions...
Calm down people, Bitcoin will continue to Bitcoin  Grin
5065  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How can terrorism be stopped on: January 04, 2017, 03:17:56 AM
It's like trying to stop kamikaze. They will keep coming as long as they are alive and their country is at war. To terrorists, their religion is at war with the rest of the world, so the only way to deal with them would be to fight radicalism. There should be no tolerance towards any attempts of religious extremism and terrorism. NO tolerance means when an immigrant gets caught raping a woman or a child, or attempting a terrorist act, he should be thrown in the worst shithole possible. No, not a prison. The authorities should dig a deep hole in the ground and just throw them in, North Korea style. Let them create their own society of mud people or whatever.
The Americans knew how to deal with those guys at Guantanamo.
5066  Other / Meta / Re: I hate this forum on: January 03, 2017, 03:37:55 PM

It's niggrish Grin

OP, this forum mirrors the typical internet society, just like any other forum. There are trolls, people who post drunk or on drugs, antisocial basement dwellers... and there are those who want to help and explain stuff to others. You can find a lot of useful advice on this forum, so don't be discouraged. You just have to learn to weed out and ignore.
5067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminder to not use brainwallets on: January 02, 2017, 04:29:28 PM
Good idea. I've never used brainwallets mainly because I find it hard to remember my own passwords  Cheesy
Hardware wallets always worked for me. They offer decent level of security and are great if need quick and easy access. Just don't use full node clients. I have been using one and one time my power went down for a while. When it came back and I started my wallet it said the database is damaged and it took me 4 days to download the blockchain. Never again!
5068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Tops $1,000 in First Day of 2017 Trading on: January 02, 2017, 03:43:46 AM
A great way to start the year. We can hope for more, predictions are 2017 will bring us a new all time high.

Stockmarket linkage possibly

Bitfinex moved past $1000 an hour ago, don't know which exchange the OP is quoting, but the Western onew were below $1000 at the time of his post.
5069  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Afghan criminals who gang-raped little boy granted residency in Sweden on: January 02, 2017, 03:29:49 AM
people get longer prison sentences for leaving bacon outsides of mosques
Depends on where you do it. Try it in Syria or some other crazy extremist country, you'll get torn apart by angry mob. Those animals should be treated the way they are treating each other, no prison. Public hangings, hard labour, tortures, let's bring back the middle ages!

instead of deporting or putting them in prison the proper move was to place them under counselling or rehabilitation facility so they can change their ways.

Sorry I don't think you understand the culture you are dealing with here, they will not submit to your western infidel laws ever

Put me in charge, I'll submit those monkeys. Give them a taste of the master's whip Cheesy
5070  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Best way to cash out bitcoins and end up with USD on: January 02, 2017, 03:00:33 AM
i don't there is the expression "least amount of taxes" unless you want to evade, if you want to remain regulated you will pay your % of taxes on the amount that is in play

any exchange will do the job here, or just use localbitcoin

Tax evasion is illegal. Tax avoidance/tax planning is not.
The OP is looking to minimize taxes - nothing wrong with that.

Precisely. Anyone have the best strategy? Traveling somewhere a good idea?

You mean to exchange coins abroad and bring back cash? You would still have to report the cash at customs. The only way this would work is if you exchanged it abroad and spent it all before going back home.
When you don't want to pay taxes, but need to turn coins to fiat, it's best to find someone who will pay you in cash. Just be safe and don't get robbed.
5071  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature Campaigns: Worth The Time? on: January 01, 2017, 09:09:20 PM
Wow. That is dedication to posting! My usually hurt when I hit around 300 words typing at a time. They may be writing around 10,000 words a day or even more. Probably one account would be posting about 3-5 times a day and each post should be around 75 characters but usually more. That would, conservatively, total to 2,250 characters a day.
Yes,when I asked them how come neither of you ever got Ip banned for spamming they said they use VPN's with different location for each account and they do not post one liners. They're keen on constructive posting but that's not the point. You can see people living off signature campaigns and this just is about the random guys I met in Dubai.I'm sure there are lot of them other 3'rd world countries.
People in Dubai are living off sig campaigns? What?
I bet being a waiter in Dubai pays 10 times more than spamming a sig campaign 24h a day. If I were in Dubai I'd go to a scrap yard, take rims from a crashed Ferrari or Bugatti, restore them and profit. Grin
Or I'd just wash their damn cars for $$$.
5072  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Investing in Cloud Mining Still Profitable ?? on: January 01, 2017, 09:03:48 PM
I just want to know my Monthly payment and Have no interest of how much I'm paying at start because its a lifetime contract
You have a wrong understanding of "lifetime." It's not your life, it's the life of the company! They could be gone next year or in 2 years, but if you believe they are going to keep paying you until your death, you must be living in a dream. Also, don't forget that they can keep paying you 1c per month and you won't be able to sue them!
5073  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Mining Honest Review by TheMerkle on: January 01, 2017, 07:20:00 PM
While the available contracts may not be the most profitable out there, the company is indeed legit.

By investing in genesis-mining all you do is provide them an interest free loan for them to expand their farms and that is all.

These two sentences contradict. If you're only giving them a loan to finance their operation, saying they are not the most profitable is a huge understatement. I'd say they are not profitable at all. Why should anyone even consider giving them money. You aren't buying a contract guys, you are crowdfunding their project and this is business not charity.
5074  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cowards of the U.S.A. they can't silence me on: January 01, 2017, 07:05:50 PM
Stalin was given parts of EU yes. Soviets did after all do quite a bit to win the war. Their losses were the most of any country I think they deserved Ukraine and parts of the EU. What they did with it after was horrible. Stalin was worse than Hitler in that case.

If The Soviets didn't get anything they would have been butthurt and started more conflicts to take what they thought they deserved. Making a deal with them at the time was the best possible choice for peace.

What a pile of steaming crap. They also did quite a bit to start the war. Didn't they invade Poland along with the Germans? When they were the invaders it was all good, but when their allies, the Nazis, turned against them they suddenly became the martyrs and the saviors of Europe Cheesy
They deserved Ukraine? I don't know where you are from, but If your country was now attacked by one neighbor and liberated with the help of another you wouldn't just give them everything and become a part of their country to show appreciation.
And it's important to say Europe wasn't liberated by the Russians, but with their help. Do you think people of every occupied country just stood and watched?
5075  Economy / Economics / Re: Recap at 2016, have you reached your financial goals? on: January 01, 2017, 02:58:47 PM
No, for me it's never enough. My goal for now is to have at least 10 Bitcoins, but I'm sure when I reach it I'll start thinking about 15, then 20 and so on.
My ultimate goal would be to have at least $100k in Bitcoin, which may come faster than expected with the current price predictions.
5076  Other / Meta / Re: Dear signature spammers... (or account farmers.) -- Read the STATS inside. on: January 01, 2017, 02:53:08 PM
The fact is most signature spammers don't live in the US and probably have nothing better to do with the time or even unemployed.
You're right, that was also my point. Comparing forum payouts to US wages will, despite what OP thinks, still show campaigns as profitable. Even if you cut the payouts by half it wouldn't discourage people from spamming, because of wage differences. To give you a perspective, I've noticed some of the spam coming from Indonesian forum users. Minimum monthly wage in Indonesia is close to $100 according to this site http://www.salaryexplorer.com/salary-survey.php?loc=101&loctype=1 Even if they are wrong and it's twice that (200USD), you can still earn such money here. This means in some parts of the world an unemployed person can treat forum like a typical day job.
5077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC38 hot wallet got hacked and lost 1.5 million on: January 01, 2017, 02:35:33 PM
I am glad that I didnt used Btc38.Im sorry though for the people who stored their coins there. There have been many warnings to people not to keep their coins on exchanges when the Bitcoins price is rising suddenly, because there is a possibility for that exchanges to be hacked. If you want to store your coins on exchanges better store a small amount of them there, that you can afford to loose.
i never heard about btc38 and i dont trade but giving warnings to people it will not stop them or they just trading daily and doesnt keep their coins in exchange.
Because it's one of the smaller Chinese exchanges. I bet you haven't heard about many other. If they kept $200k they had to be prepared to cover the losses in case something went wrong. You never keep more in a hot wallet, unless you're dumb like Karpeles  Grin
5078  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If nuclear war broke out where's the safest place on Earth? on: January 01, 2017, 02:14:10 PM
Of course it all depends on the size of the warhead.
lol this phrase changes the meaning of ur post completely  Cheesy
That's because there were some crazy experiments, like the russian tsar bomb.
The pic shows the detonation of 500kt. A typical missile like the US Trident has 300kt warhead, but there are bigger ones with a cluster of 500kt.
Tsar had 50 mt, if someone started mass producing and detonating similar bombs, there would be no place you could hide. A shockwave would destroy everything within 50 miles and cause fires in twice the radius.
5079  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Preparation for Death. Cremation or Burial? on: January 01, 2017, 01:59:53 PM
I'd choose cremation and here's why. A typical cemetery allows you to buy the spot only for a certain amount of years (like 50) and then someone has to come and pay again. If your family dies or nobody remembers about it, after a 100 years your grave might be removed and the spot sold to someone else. Cremation doesn't give you some false hope about your name being carved in stone for eternity. You know what's going to happen and it's much easier and cheaper to store ashes.
5080  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: December 30, 2016, 10:32:39 PM
Not all the merchants and vendors are thinking that way as you think. Because there are still a lot of well known big vendors who are still not relying their business with bitcoin because of its stability.
It is with no doubt that the stability of bitcoin can help it get more and more popular, many investors have a hard time trying to invest in it because of how it is unstable on the long term, remember that the price got really high and then went up and that made investors scared to put a lot of money on it.
What is "hard" for one investor is a great and easy deal for another. Those looking for stability won't find it in Bitcoin, but what day traders are looking for is just the opposite. Also, why would you need stability when you have constant gain of value. Between 2014 and 2016 Bitcoin gained about 30% in price, so if you bought after the 2013 crash (or before it) and held, you gained 30 -50%. Not bad huh?
