5062  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-07-22] JPMorgan Opens Crypto Trading To All Clients on: July 25, 2021, 02:10:30 PM
After making bitcoin look like a fraudulent asset now they are back seeing this is a fast growing industry to tap into, these jokers wise decision anyway..

And why do I feel like some gold minded bankers and some risk managers playing it safe lost their jobs for not indicating this to be a profitable asset that they have missed out on an early investment.
5063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Binance too big to fail? on: July 25, 2021, 01:44:41 PM
It seems to me that Binance has huge influence over the crypto/Blockchain industry. Sometimes I wonder if the world's biggest crypto exchange is too big to fail.
Biggest crypto exchange means it has big pockets, and we all know money makes the world go round so it's easy to get themselves  out of any situation.

With no signs of decline, Binance is on a road to widespread success in the mainstream world. This is bad because it'll make crypto heavily centralized.
It's already a well rooted company in the crypto ecosystem and listing some of the biggest coins on the exchange (on different blockchains ) this does also give it the bargaining power to create a business environment that works in its favor leading to centralization.

Do you think Binance has too much power/influence over the crypto/Blockchain industry? How will it affect crypto (either positively or negatively) in the long term? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
Yes they do have the influence, if ever regulators wanted something done for example, they probably needed it to go through them first then all other exchanges will adopt whatever has been decided.
5064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the ETH reach $300 end of 2018? on: July 25, 2021, 12:44:47 PM
ETH is showing positive signs.
Will the ETH reach $300 end of 2018??
I've lost a lot of money, so when ETH signs of increased I comfort myself.
I hope you did not sell your crypto stash because you lost money as a result of a bearish market that happened in that year.

Ethereum Price has grown over 10 times of what it was so your portfolio should have grown by now if your bought way cheaper than it was.

This seems very likely, because the price of ETH shows a significant rebound, and its purchases are increasing rapidly, indicating that the shark is taking over ETH.

If it signs of go down dont be discourage  everything must be facing in serious problem but there is always  a way of improving like what happened in world market today the price are getting cheaper but it is the best way of buying some tokens cause the time that the markets recovered his price you'll regret it by gaining more profit in your wallet...
Mate why did you awaken an old thread  Roll Eyes
5065  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hits key level since May...could Elon responsible on: July 25, 2021, 12:34:52 PM
Many of us don't take him serious but all I know is that each time he speaks crypto depending on whether the message was negative or positive, it usually moves the markets and that's what recently happened when he spoke of spacex holding some crypto ,and Tesla continuing with accepting bitcoin payments, markets should some bullishstrength.
He could actually be considered as a whale and how he uses his crypto does affect the whole ecosystem.
5066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Citizen Finance? on: July 25, 2021, 09:28:26 AM
Citizen Finance's total Max only 500,000 CIFI. a week ago Cifi price was $2 But today it has been pumped 300%+ the price of Citizen Finance's is $20. What do you think about this token. We should invest here or not? it Could  be $100 in future?
I think this is were most of us get trapped, we usually want to invest in projects which show early signs of price gains but ignoring the fact that we have pump and dump schemes which resembles high demand of its coin.
Let us not fall for any project with such traits but citizen finance looks promising but needs more homework done before investing in it..

5067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: July 25, 2021, 09:22:55 AM
Around this period numbers did rise But most restrictions that were put are slowing been lifted where vaccinations have achieved not less than 50% of the population, does this mean the numbers for online gambling will start to drop because most people can't wait to get out to experience life again (btw this should be for vaccinated people only to play to avoid spikes again)
5068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 25, 2021, 07:43:06 AM
Haven't you seen MU vs QPR?
They lost 4-2. But this does not seem to be the picture for next season.
I remember a few seasons ago Manchester United never lost any of its preseason games but when the league started the struggled to win games, which is true to say these games don't give the true picture of what's to come.
But losing on the other hand sends negative energy around the team which isn't a good start and in the EPL when teams know you struggling they will push you.

Manchester United is playing with a lot of its young players. Brandon Williams, Teden Mengi and Facundo Pellistri started the match. Many players under the age of 20 played in the second half. It looks like Ole is doing that on purpose to select players for next season.
I guess it's the process of team building, any young talents that impress you get a slot in playing the big league.
5069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why the hate on binance exchange on: July 24, 2021, 10:36:24 PM
Is there any tangible reason why binance exchange is been hunted?
When you are the best you will always be a target and knowing very well that Binance exchange serves as one of the biggest centralized exchanges , the regulators all want a piece of them and maybe find a way to kill crypto through clamping down of exchanges.

Quote
It seems they just hate success or what? Anyways no matter what they try CZ is a determined fellow, that's why binance made it this far, it's my best exchange and won't be changing any time soon
CZ good fellow indeed,  and seems to be a step ahead.
5070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ready for 2025 run otherwise its time and money wasting on: July 24, 2021, 09:23:45 PM

2018 ATH passed and went 3x 65000USD to BITCOIN. Now we again expecting to go 100,000 and 130000. I think its useless point now. its better to wait 2025. just accumulate usdt and ready for 2025.

There is no investment gain in holding USDT which should not even be considered an investment in the first place,  unless you are saying you don't want to risk any of your money.

Holding of bitcoin for another 4 years would be rewarding because there is a possibility of more investors coming on board, more countries legalizing crypto and miners would have resolved their minning issues....so much potential for the future  btc is the way to go.
5071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 24, 2021, 09:11:42 PM
is the saga of Ronaldo over and he will stay at Juventus?

The vice president has spoken.

source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1418998166704345089
Where there any doubts of Cristiano Ronaldo staying? I don't think so, we fans want to create unnecessary transfer hype when we know his happy in Italy and not going anywhere.
Besides what price Tag would a G.O.A.T like Cristiano carry...don't say his age would bring price down.
5072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEO of Twitter has full control of the Bitcoin market by banning Elon Musk on: July 24, 2021, 05:24:24 PM
Bitcoin is still new and has a smaller market cap than other investments that one famous person on Twitter can influence the prices of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
This is partly the truth, his quite an influencer but the pandemic has made people to be online more than usual and with a few retweets of what Elon tweets about gets people excited and for all we know word travels faster on these online channels.

I am not a huge fan of Musk manipulating the market for his benefit but i am not in favor of banning him from Twitter solely because of that, if he is conveying fake news then then Twitter will tag him as manipulated news and till now Musk is smart enough to avoid these tags because he is just voicing his opinion and you cannot ban someone for just voicing his opinion.
I would like this to happen but fact of the matter is Musk has both feet dipped in cold and hot water such that at times he creates a bullish atmosphere for crypto which we all love but when he means to be bearish this is the part about him that we all hate him for..

5073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 24, 2021, 01:57:20 PM
Arsenal planning to bid 40 mil pounds and 130k weekly wages to Tammy Abraham? As John Henry would say - what are they smoking there at the Emirates?
What's with the Premier League and trying to hunt for players that are just next door??
Is this Abraham move really going to happen before I call this trash can speculation.

When I started watching football, Arsenal was a synonym for a club with smart transfer policy, finding bargains on the market and turning them into superstars. After Wenger left, they are totally lost and are making one mistake after another.
We all knew Arsenal for this magic touch of turning trash to gold when Wenger was around, now things have turned into a failed business.

Quote
Chelsea must be laughing right now, Abraham is decent, but this is definitely overkill.
It's definitely going to be everyone not Chelsea alone, hope things change for them this semester.
5074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 24, 2021, 05:11:42 AM
Chelsea are moving from Haaland and now they are focusing on Inter Milan officials Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku, if any club wants to sign him this summer.
Romelu Lukaku had a great season at Inter & has become a valuable team member there. I don't see why he would want to leave in a hurry for the English Premier League at the calling of Chelsea, this move won't happen.

only case that might make Inter think about selling Lukaku, is the arrival of an offer exceeding 120 million euros.
Money talks,  stories walk! If Chelsea are ready to spend this much which is unlikely, Lukaku will be at Stamford.
5075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: July 23, 2021, 05:34:35 PM
Have these companies taken any steps to minimize the harm related to online gambling?  Is their CSR functional?
I think it's easier for gambling companies that are setup IRL to perform their CSR against gambling addiction when they see their players occasionally were they can tell if their patrons is in their right mental state or stressed because of gambling unlike online were it's difficult to monitor every players gambling patterns to offer some counseling to help them.

My question is, should online gambling companies be responsible for the harm related to their activities because of their current failures in the implementation and control of CSR policies?

For starters there is an age limit for you to play on these platforms and If you are agree to their terms and conditions, you are pretty much saying you can make sound decisions which makes it your responsibility and not the gambling campanies.
5076  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-07-23] Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk Again Moves Crypto Prices on: July 23, 2021, 01:07:53 PM
Tesla, Inc. (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk is at it again. The irrepressible entrepreneur, whose tweets are blamed for crashing the price of Bitcoin (BTCUSD) earlier this year, again moved prices in cryptocurrency markets yesterday.1

At the B Word conference, Musk disclosed that his private space exploration company SpaceX owned Bitcoin and held out the prospect of Tesla allowing customers to resume purchases of its cars using the cryptocurrency. Musk also said that he owned Ethereum (ETHUSD) and provided commentary on Dogecoin (DOGEUSD).

Investors, weary of a selloff in crypto markets the previous day, bid up prices for all three coins. Bitcoin price jumped by as much as 3% to $32,805.55, minutes after a video of the conference was released. At 1:49 UTC today, Bitcoin was trading at $32,093, up 1.73% from its price a day earlier.

The price of Ethereum also spiked by 6.3% from its morning valuation, and Dogecoin soared up by 10.9% to trade at $0.2101 in the same timeframe as a result of Musk's comments.

Musk's boost to cryptocurrency markets was a relief to investors. Bitcoin had dipped below $30,000 on Monday, raising investor fears that crypto markets were heading into a prolonged downturn.

Bitcoin Has 'A Lot of Potential'
During yesterday's discussion, Musk said that Bitcoin has "a lot of potential." But he discounted the possibility for the cryptocurrency's base layer to become a medium of transactions because it had scarcity baked into its design. The base layer of Bitcoin consists of its blockchain, which is slow at processing transactions and will only ever mine 21 million Bitcoin.

Abraham 'open' to move
Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is 'open' to joining Arsenal this summer, according to reports.

The former Bristol City loanee appears destined to leave Stamford Bridge and test himself elsewhere after falling out-of-favour under Thomas Tuchel.

Perfect' Maddison claim
Speaking on the Arsenal Lounge YouTube channel, journalist Fabrizio Romano has opened up on Arsenal's pursuit of James Maddison.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Leicester City star and Romano says he is seen as "perfect" for Mikel Arteta's style.

He said: “It will be really, really difficult to sign him this summer. It’s true that Arsenal have an interest in the player, it’s true that they consider him perfect for their playstyle, so they consider him as a potentially fantastic signing, but at the moment it’s complicated with Leicester, so if the conditions change, maybe they can try, but at the moment, it’s not an advanced negotiation.”

Madison not going anywhere, just what I thought.  This player is still an important part of the team and his services are still needed at Leicester.

So 3 days ago, they raided a house and confiscated about 100 ASICs: Source: https://www.newsarawaktribune.com.my/police-find-bitcoin-mining-operations-in-house/
Was it so obvious that they used illegal electricity or its Vigilantes who are anti bitcoin doing the whistle blowing?

Note: the crime was simply electricity theft, not mining itself.
It's really hard being a crypto miner and at the same time remain profitable. Afaik all what the miner was trying to do was find a way to maximize profits in a creative way Roll Eyes,  hope he can bail out his ASICs and mine the btc legally this time.

@toma: yeah I guess I enjoy losing a lot and try to save them all with a big upset. Didn't work out today. When is Hubbard? 5/1 looks goooood.
August 2 i think. I'd like to read what someone who follows weightlifting closely have to say about the main fav to win (1.16 odds), Li Wenwen, and Hubbard who's the second favorite in the bookies at 4 odds followed by the rest of the competitors who start at double digits odds. I'll keep an eye on the the line movement over the next few days
These are my kind of games, going against the bookies favorite ...bet on the second and third favourites and hope for the best,  by the way I have seen one or two athletes withdraw from their games because they tested positive for Corona and in such a case would the bookie pay at full odds if Wenwen was forced to pull out and my winner came from my picks??
