5081  Economy / Speculation / Re: who believes that the price of BTC high next month? on: November 24, 2020, 01:01:38 AM
Will the bitcoin really go up to  25,000 dollars next month? As far as I've read and know the Btc information. As far as i'm I think the Bitcoin price will go up to  22,000$. what is your opinion?

I hope that before the year ends we will reach a new ATH. I can't say how high it can go but breaking the previous ATH is already enough for me. I don't want it to increase very fast because we all know what will happen because of that. Just like what happens now, bitcoin increases slowly while altcoins catch up.
5082  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Small assets, trade or invest? Good decision? on: November 23, 2020, 03:52:55 AM
But then I realized that it I want a long term source of profit then I switched and engaged with crypto investment. I found it really beneficial for me as I want to become more futuristic,
although the progress is not that fast but I think that it is much safer for me to invest here.

Do you think this is a good decision? I know that most of us are struggling in trading, could you give us more idea? And what are your thoughts about this?

Crypto investment is really a good choice. I've started invested on this last 7 years ago and I didn't regret doing it till now. Though it is very volatile, there are many potential cryptocurrencies that are worth investing if you research very well. Now that we are on bullish market, I can see my gains over the past few years of just hodling. It depends on you if you also want to trade, since I have a weak emotion I prefer as a long term investor.
5083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Player protection - stop loss limit on: November 23, 2020, 02:34:22 AM
Why would really tend to stop those players if they do really likes to play? that is some sort of unethical kind of authority for not to let them play or have some limit.
Just like what been said that in case they would really be stopped midway then thats the time they would really find for another place which doesnt have
limitation on where they do can play all they want as long they do have money to deposit into the site.Player protection isnt really that much of a concern
because we have our own free will in regards to our actions. If we do like to stop then we can stop and if we want to play even more then we would find ways.

They're basically asking their players to find other website to play. Is there really a platform that implements this feature? I don't see any benefit of this on their business, even on casinos they won't do this type of limitation. Any entrepreneur won't limit his business to gain profit. It's not his fault if someone got broke to it.
5084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Gang uses crypto for illegal purposes on: November 23, 2020, 01:05:13 AM
These kinds of activities can no longer stop but instead, to see them growing as they are taking this advantage. But I know that cybercrime groups will find solutions to this in the coming days.

If many countries will impose strict laws and regulations about crypto it could help lessen these activities. Countries can set a minimum amount of crypto to fiat exchange monthly or annualy. They could ask many papers to backup the source of crypto of their citizen. If the criminals found out there are many processes to convert bitcoin into fiat then they would think twice or find other country where it's not that strict to convert crypto to fiat.
5085  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Volatility determined by percentage of traders vs hodlers? on: November 21, 2020, 09:33:17 AM
Hi,

I saw a statistic online, that currently lists the percentage of hodler of bitcoin (holding 1+ years) vs number of traders who hold btc 1 month or less. Currently there are 64.99% hodlers of bitcoin vs %35.01 of traders. My question is, does an increase in percentage of traders increase the magnitude of price swings? If say the percentage of hodlers of bitcoin stabilizes in the future to 90%, will the magnitude of short term price swings also decrease? In other words does volatility decrease as percentage of hodlers increases? Is that why "bluechip stocks" are less volatile? because a large percentage of the investors are holding?

I don't know how bluechip stocks work but I know the basics of supply and demand law. If there are huge demand for something but the supply is low then the price will surely increase like bitcoin. How does that work in the bluechip market if most of the investors are hodling, who is creating the demand on their market?
5086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how add security to our bitcoin ? on: November 21, 2020, 04:32:24 AM
If by security you mean multiple layers of authentication to access your wallet then there are many options depending on what you are using. You can activate it's 2fa and install a 3rd party app (Google Authenticator), enable the email approval for every transaction you made, and you can also put password, pin, or even your fingerprint to access and approve transaction on that wallet.

All in all just don't share with anyone the private details used to access your bitcoin wallet and you should be safe.
5087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: November 21, 2020, 03:45:19 AM
The rules are great, but the problem is: how do you follow them? Also, most of the tips here are aimed at people, who lose money out of a desperate desire to win, like "don't chase your losses". Many people believe that gamblers lose most of their money when they're failing and, therefore, can't think straight. On the contrary, I think that lots of winning can lead to an even worse outcome because when that happens people just forget about luck and probability and start thinking that they've developed some kind of perfect winning strategy, which makes them act less carefully and make riskier bets and, eventually, lose everything.

It's a matter of self-discipline on how you control yourself during those times. It is hard to do and not anyone can really do it. I'm guilty on what you've said on both when winning or losing, unlike other gamblers I've already learned from this mistake and learned when to stop if my bankroll is empty or I doublet it. In the long run, if gamblers don't properly manage their bankroll it might ruin their life.
5088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery Gambling on: November 21, 2020, 03:04:00 AM
Much better to gamble our money into games that could make use of our knowledge and skill, not this luck-base game lottery.

This type of game is popular to poor households. It doesn't need any knowledge to learn and you just bet your money then you can have a chance to win big. I know this game and many of my neighbors always bet on this 2 or 3x a day daily hoping they would win. They don't realize that if they would save or spend that money it buy already what they plan to if they win on that lottery.
5089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to securely store your Bitcoin on: November 20, 2020, 09:55:46 AM
There are plenty of ways to store your bitcoin. You can either store it in a hardware or software wallet.
Wherever you store them just remember their private key or passphrase to access them. This is the most important thing to do, if you lost this or give this to someone else then your bitcoin can be stolen or it will be stuck there forever. I've been using wallet apps such as coinomi and electrum for the past 6yrs and so far I haven't lost any bitcoin yet without my awareness.
5090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot can take place of Ethereum? on: November 20, 2020, 06:53:39 AM
Many are saying that polkadot will be a good crypto in the future but I don't believe it can beat eth. Ethereum is the mother of erc20 tokens and polkadot is an erc20 token. But who knows, maybe in the future they will beat ethereum. It depends how they will maintain and improve their project. For me, I'll have both since polkadot is also one of the top crypto in coinmarketcap.
5091  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: November 20, 2020, 05:08:44 AM
I have made a profit from staking and investing, when compared to the profit generated from investing, it is much greater than staking.
That is a reality that I have experienced myself, so I will without doubt choose investing over staking. But the risks faced are bigger investing,
therefore knowledge is needed to be successful in investing. So don't be lazy to learn all things related to investment, so you have good
knowledge, and can read the movement of coins in the market.

Staking only gives a percentage of profit. And it takes months before you reach ROI.
While if you invested, though it has higher risks. There is a chance that it can double or take back your capital at an earlier time.
Both needs knowledge, you can't just join some staking program not knowing how you will earn. Same as investment, you must analyze the risks first before getting involved in such schemes.
5092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 20, 2020, 03:00:45 AM
To get a permanent job in my country, you must quit your previous employer.

What if I find a new employer first or apply for a new job, when I'm hired then I will just quit from my previous employer. Is it allowed? Won't I be sued if I do this? Unpaid leaves is really not good especially if you have responsibilities to take care of. Even if they live alone or doesn't have a family yet, it's still hard to depend on their parents. What's more difficult is if they start borrowing money from others just to live.
5093  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who actually moves the price of bitcoin? on: November 19, 2020, 08:38:37 AM
Whales and big institutions plays a big role in this recent bullish rally. FOMO buyers affects the price too but I think most of them already learned their lesson 4yrs ago.
If you look at the 4yr chart, you'll noticed that history just repeats itself. The big question is how far will we go now after we break the ATH.
5094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof - The long Hodl on: November 19, 2020, 06:02:02 AM
How many had the forsight to HODL what they had
for the next bull market, which is now?

I'm quite sure these people are only few individuals that have really strong minds. They did not let their emotion get ahead of them. And for sure they have some other income or money to not touch their bitcoin for that long.

My mistake on the other hand happened on altcoins, I bought at its ATH 2 yrs ago and hoping that it would pump when it's alt season.
5095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any insurance service for gamblers to retain heavy losses....??? on: November 19, 2020, 03:54:01 AM
I don't think someone would offer or establish this kind of service. And also how will the insurance benefit from this?
Gamblers should be responsible for their losses, it's not against their will when they made those losing bets.
It's your fault if you're gambling too much than you can only afford.
5096  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Nico David "bitaccelerate" SCAM review on: November 18, 2020, 11:48:07 AM
Ang take ko lang naman dito ay kahit na negative ang news about sa bitaccelerate, at least nagbigay ng awareness si Nico sa mga supporters at viewers niya about cryptocurrency. I've known the person during my poker days and he is very informative and smart. Ang pwede lang mangyari na maganda out of his post is that crypto is real and crypto is being used for fraudulent activities.

5097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Gang uses crypto for illegal purposes on: November 18, 2020, 08:45:09 AM
In china the government reported a case where a gambling Gang as they stated were using cryptocurrencies to transfer funds abroad. According to them trillions of yuan's are illegally being transferred abroad due to gambling.

Cryptocurrencies are commonly used by criminals to do illegal things not just in China. Those gang thought of a way to involve gambling to do their bad motives. Chinese government should impose a law about cryptocurrencies not in gambling. Since it's online casino I'm pretty sure there's no form of illegal gambling there.
5098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers lose more money than win. on: November 18, 2020, 06:37:51 AM
Gambling is all about luck so to lose more money than to win is normal for me. If you think of gambling as a way to earn profit then you're just wasting your money.
There may be some people who earns a living from it but gambling is not a career for everyone. This is why gambling ruins some of people's lives because they think it is their ticket for success in life.

5100  Economy / Economics / Re: Still confused why bitcoin is so bullish? on: November 12, 2020, 11:17:40 AM
If you will look at its 4 year cycle we are on the right path. I hope that this is not just a bubble now and after the bull ends we are not going $10k below again.

Here's the 4yr chart https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-trader-axes-4-year-bull-cycle-forecast-after-10k-triple-top. That maybe outdaded but you can see we are repeating the cycle 4yrs ago.
