5081  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Most Popular Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 26, 2022, 11:57:28 AM
Hey Stake people. Bet on your own girlfriend today Watford. United absolute favourites as they should be in every game anyway, Elanga the guy saving their asses, but Hornets got their own Denis to count on.

As long as he scores first for the Hornets, or in the first 15 minutes, we are all golden, right?

Waiting to see if Sarr also makes the lineup, but my money is in. Easy!
5082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope Vs Realty of bitcoin on: February 26, 2022, 10:55:26 AM
I don't trade but I do sell regularly in an almost predictable, not very flexible timeframe, and I can tell you, that chart you got there is what I would say is very, very optimistic.

Accurate at a while before the start of a rally en route to an ATH but holding past a cycle looks way, way bloodier than that. Long flatflines and heart-in-your-mouth drops, everyone dropping like flies, the rest of crypto on life support as the doom prophets crawl out of the woodworks.

It is fun.
5083  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin likely won't recover until 2025 on: February 26, 2022, 10:40:25 AM
Yeah, even with this unexpected rally (and again, thanks to stock markets I would say), I ain't expecting to upgrade my personal view of where we gonna be at this year. Happy to wait til 2025 haha. Halving is the one true factor that has not failed markets, and the pricing in will only begin next year at earliest.

Stack them well, gentlemen.
5084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 26, 2022, 08:38:16 AM
Man, Nadal! I cannot believe it's now twice I opted for someone else as my tourney winner, ignoring Nadal as the outsider. Now he's gotten over the most difficult opponent (a bit easier this time around even though it should have been harder!) and is set for another win.

Worse, it's twice in a row I go for Tsitsi and he falls at the same hurdle.

Would he actually be the oldest player who ever made it back to #1 at that age?

Think it's Medvedev's regardless of what happens in the final, have to admit I don't know how the rankings exactly work (not a super tennis person) but the news said something in that manner as soon as Djoko lost.

But this Norrie guy though, why haven't I really paid any attention to him haha. Hands up I didn't even hear much of him until very recently and he's not even very young.

Surprised (or not really) to see a high number of exact scores. I'd actually thought I had it at 3-1 -- watched the game and thought at least the late goal would give me an extra half point. Seeing back-to-back exact scores from Gooners and Saints warms my heart.

Like you say, if teams have a real go at Man City instead of being so submissive they really aren’t that good. Their high line can be got at on the counter attack.

We are right back in this title race, Klopp’s men are ready.

Absolutely brother. And I hope it starts tonight with Everton. Go at them, they are the slowest team in Champions League in terms of transition, and that also affects them coming back to defend counters. I celebrated Spurs last week, will for sure celebrate Everton haha.

We are right back, and April clash is coming up nicely.

Oh, and they also don't have Matip. I'm not a huge fan of his gangly forays up but hey if it gets a goal every few games, go for it man.
5086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 25, 2022, 08:05:49 PM
casper, Trofo, this is extremely off topic but I was at dinner talking about places to consider to go take the family now that this year finally seems "normal" and I was trying to lobby for Croatia haha.

Anyway, disappointment for all of us with Milan. They drop points, everyone else saves them and drop points, but surely they can't expect Inter to do it AGAIN?
5087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tourism in El Salvador increases by 30% with the adoption of Bitcoin and benefit on: February 25, 2022, 01:25:10 PM
Serious doubt about this. In the president's own Tweet announcing this first-ever double digit GDP growth, he's crediting exports and talking about THAT pet hospital. The minister quoted by the source actually provides no evidence to support her statement. On the contrary she says:

Quote
"And along with the jump in tourism, El Salvador has seen a steep influx in foreign currency, said added."

So they're still paying in foreign currency, not Bitcoin.

I have yet to see or hear of a tourist going there specifically because they can spend Bitcoin (surely these guys would be posting all over the forum if not Twitter etc).

Are we also now going to blame Bitcoin if energy use there increases? Next we'll be crediting "Bitcoin adoption" for lower infant mortality and other HDIs, once we run out of economic indicators.

Correlation not causation.
5088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 25, 2022, 11:05:37 AM
@Welsh yeah Pukki's been having some peculiar revival of form -- never in doubt when playing for his national team, but always seems to get stuck after promotion from Championship. But like Arsenal, I'm really hoping Southampton are carried by form.

Also missed your comment on Liverpool earlier about not giving up home until the maths says it's not possible -- I've been asking and looking for treble and quadruple specials for months, and tried being cheeky putting up markets on p2p when we were 12 points trailing, no takers haha.

Like you, I've also held that City aren't actually that great. Teams just seem to play against them with a resistance mentality, but go for their throats like Spurs and Palace did, as we've always done, and they're vulnerable, they're panicky, they give away fouls and make mistakes. Problem is, half of the job's done for them before the match even starts as (most) teams set up for damage control against them. I'm hoping and counting on Everton to smack them down tonight. Richarlison can be a handful, hope he turns it on tonight.
5089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa Conference League Discussion Thread on: February 25, 2022, 09:01:25 AM
Yes, yes, well done to Barca, and this is the nail in the coffin for Napoli's season, but guys, try pay attention to the thread. This is for Conference haha

@buwaytress the Celtic defeat has shocked everybody, because no one really saw it coming and they really need to work on their game plan and come back stronger next year. Also Leicester has managed to qualify, because  I thought that they would be eliminated given their recent form, plus Roma has qualified too so they’re not out like Celtic is.

Roma has qualified yes, but I was referencing their 6-1 thrashing by Bodoe/Glimt actually, their most shameful defeat in Europe, to a nobody team from nowhere (pun there hahaha).

So I meant that Roma now can sit together with Celtic and relive their nightmares of losing to huge underdogs. I bet you one of the Championship teams will want to buy the Bodoe/Glimt strikers.

Anyone thinking it's time to pay attention to Wolves? Or are we backing Arsenal to continue their strange run of good form?
Yeah, I pretty much always put a draw or win for Wolves, since a lot of teams struggle against them whether that's over estimating or over committing because they've got a solid defense. If I was going to bet on them this week which I'm not going to, I would put a 0-0 down. Feel that Arsenal's run of form will prevent Wolves from getting a foothold in the game in order to score, but I do feel Arsenal will lack that final pass against a well drilled Wolves team. I know 0-0's are often risky, but I'm just feeling it. Wolves are probably my favourite team to include in bets against better opposition.

Wolves are almost always above 2/1 so they feel like the perfect martingale team of EPL! But phew. I thought Arsenal's from was hard to ignore in the end, but this was a mixture of pure luck... Pepe had a good game today and then a boring old 2-1 brings me luck, though to be fair, Arsenal probably deserved the win, just the manner it came will break Wolves hearts -- they're not used to doing so well so probably thought they should lose a few more games to remind their fans of what they are...

Only just realised now this was a mammoth round, so a lot of us got 2 slam points -- just falling short of one correct outcome for 3 slam points. We can all blame Spurs for that.

@ morvillz7z yeah, to think I used to have Celtic (and Rangers) on my tickets every time in Europe. I gave Rangers up as soon as Gerrard left, it was always clear they were running on fumes fanned by him... but Celtic seem to be more intent on wresting away the Scotting Championship away from their Old Firm foes... And so, Bodoe/Glimt wasn't a flash in the pan after all. Least Roma can have Celtic in the same miserable company, how the mighty Europa candidates have fallen.

Big enough victory for you? Salah show in first half and Mane show in second half. I can't believe Klopp did not take off Salah/Arnold/Robertson/Mane and tried to preserve them for League cup final in couple of days. Salah is playing full games all the time for LFC, plus a couple of 120 min games for national team and I am afraid that he will pay the price for that in spite of his incredible athleticism.

Yeah, so big I even would have still got 1 point if I upgraded 3-0 to 4-0 haha. Just my luck, but finally the goal difference is something I'm much more comfortably with. Didn't watch this regrettably, wonder now if I should keep not watching if it makes them play like this. Also slightly surprised he kept them on -- I know Mane and Salah just have stubborn heads and want to play on and on, but I suspect he was trying to see if either could smack a hattrick (and maybe get them en route to golden boot).
5095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎰 Sportsbet.io 🎰 "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: February 24, 2022, 03:40:27 PM
Yeah, also 3 in a row for me, but all this after 3 fairly quick hits so absolutely no complaints for me.

My only rant is United failed to provide a back to back BJ, and in both matches collecting the final point in the finalinute of play.

Elanga did not have to ruin it for us, tsk!

Oh and Liverpool, as a coincidence, have not provided a win since beating United... What a weird pull.
5096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 24, 2022, 07:46:31 AM
I just watched that on youtube, what is wring with him, he needs some anger management,
it was a doubles match and now as a defending champion he's out.
Really stupid reaction from Zverev. I can understand the need to went out the frustrations but it could have been done differently. He could have just broken his racket on turf after the match finished and then calmly said to the ref whatever je needed to say from the bench. Nothing would happen.

This was done to intimidate ref and now he is out and faces further consequences. There were also some allegations from his ex gf which now look much more likely, at least to me.

Yeah, I absolutely get the emotions. I'm probably kind of the same, but you don't take it out on someone else. I thought Kyrgios was pretty bad and no one comes close to the kind of abuse he gave (and no, I think Medvedev's outbursts in AO were more funny than scary) and he got his suspension proper. I'll be real surprised if Zverev escapes some kind of suspension too.

Didn't know about the ex-gf thing, sometimes I wish I didn't know about these things...

Had Atletico - MU on second screen, so, can't full comment game. From what I saw, result reflect game more or less. Had BTTS here.
It wasn't much of the game, Atletico was better and arguably deserved more from this game. United was nowhere all game and got lucky with that one action. They could have maybe even snatched a victory if Ronaldo let Fernadez/Telles to take the free kick. As soon as he placed the ball I knew it was gonna go well over the goal. He should get reality check and stop taking free kicks. I am quite sure he is the worst free kick taker in last couple of seasons.

Ended up being able to see this game as well bits of the first half, was away from home but saw a tv for about 20 mins on a tiny screen haha. Definitely looked good for me seeing them 1-0 up and playing the way they did, not being brilliant but keeping United absolutely quiet.

I got screwed by both Ajax AND Atleti, but as you and others pointed out, Spaniards weren't to be relied upon either.

Nice wins, Harko. BTTS was too low for me to include in my acca below, and I thought I was squeezing value out of Atleti ML but you know, I suck.

5098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price goes down as Russia begins Ukraine invasion on: February 24, 2022, 06:08:42 AM
I've to be completely honest and say I'm not really following any of the news, especially since it's been conflicting from different sources of late, but hadn't the invasion several times already been dated, also by the same president?

Anyway, less a direct impact I think of that, than of the stock markets in general. Somewhat denting claims that Bitcoin isn't any longer correlated to that.
5099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 23, 2022, 06:49:49 PM
Just my luck. Have to head out for some minor thing but am not going to be home soon, so not even going to be able to watch Leeds game tonight, was looking forward to it all day after a long week! Was just telling my kid I don't missing UCL if it's Liverpool but looks like won't even be catching that. We need a big win to keep the pressure on Citeh (and who knows, a favour from the dark Blues).

GL everyone, enjoy it all. Don't bet what I would.
5100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: February 23, 2022, 04:00:27 PM
I wouldn't trust Atletico Madrid tomorrow, and their porous defensive line would be the reason, I'd probably go with BTTS (if Ronaldo is in the Man Utd starting XI), He loves playing against Atletico, or else I'd stick with Under 2.5 for Man Utd and Over 2.5 goals for Benfica vs Ajax.

Can't trust Juve and I still ML'd them, but they're arguably up against another team worthy of distrust (United). I might wait for a betbuilder superboost on Atletico win, over 1.5 cards each (UCL is very lenient but I'm hoping it gets nasty) if it's over 6/1 on that.

TBH, did not expected for Villareal to be back after fast goal by Vlaovic, but Juventus is obviously far away from team that was few years ago
after Torino, Villareal was also back after being down against Juventus, and that proves that Juventus is not having champion winning mentality

regarding tonight, I will go with Atletico and Ajax to win

Yeah, that was painfully true watching it myself. Though to be fair, the team already looked so different when Ronaldo was in it, they just need to keep the good core and assess their decisions over the past 3/4 years (well, to me, Ronaldo was the biggest decision they should really reflect on to never repeat).

Atletico and Ajax for me as well, Dutch should get through without too many problems but can't ignore 25/10 for KO specialist Simeone.
