Didn't get it! I suppose it's a typo.
5102  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unable to send BTC in electrum from imported wallet era 2011 on: December 03, 2019, 04:38:33 PM
screen Looking like this->...
This screen generally appears when you click preview on a watching only wallet (Sign and Broadcast buttons grayed out)

Does the message on Electrum title bar shows something like this:
"Electrum 3.3.8 - wallet_name [imported, watching only]" ?

5105  Other / Meta / Received 1 merit from Bitcoin Forum! on: December 02, 2019, 08:26:17 PM
I just checked my last received merits and noticed something weird!
Bitcoin Forum sent me 1 merit for a NA reply!
When I click on the user link it redirects me to my profile page and the link of the merited post (NA) redirects me to bitcointalk home page.
Did any one experience something similar or have an explanation for it?
I suppose it's just a glitch, that's why am reporting it here.

This answers your question:
Thanks to everyone who participated! If you voted in this event, you received 1 merit; if your caption appeared in the first table above, you also received 10, and if your caption appeared only in the second table above, you also received 2.
5106  Local / النقاشات الأخرى / Re: تجارة و ربح او مغالاة و غش ؟ on: December 01, 2019, 04:31:13 PM

5107  Economy / Reputation / Hex.win, fake signature campaign on: December 01, 2019, 11:16:22 AM
This user Richard Heart Hex launched a signature campaign:
Hex Signature Campaign Blockchain Certificate of Deposit- BTC

Obviously this is fake and no one should join it or wear the signature.
Clearly OP's main intention is to promote his referral link the cheapest way: url=https://hex.win/?r=0xbF3913CB785111534E7563D1aEa0e977Ac6B6025

Few users replied there asking OP to prove he is really Richard Heart or to use an escrow but he didn't respond.

Another victim is the signature designer:
Hi would you be interested in a designing a set of signatures for full member-legendary ranks?  In return you'll get $200 worth of hex when we launch.

https://hex.win/

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCta3TYFhzfpPvOtKBDifYJA

https://twitter.com/RichardHeartWin

LbtalkL contacted Hex team through their official Telegram channel and they denied launching a signature campaign on bitcointalk

َAnyone who joins this campaign will be scammed and will not receive any payment.
5108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hard Wallet Privacy on: November 30, 2019, 11:40:21 PM
You are right. By sending a single transaction with multiple inputs, anyone seeing this transaction on a blockchain explorer will know that those inputs belongs to the same wallet (yours).
However, by sending multiple transactions, you will have to pay much more for fees.
Some members suggested to use a mixer! I don't know how that would help as the transaction sent to the mixer can be used to link your different addresses to each other!
5109  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC FRAUD on: November 30, 2019, 10:12:35 PM
Unfortunately there is not much you can do. Bitcoin transactions are irreversible.
All you can do is to hope that the hacker is dumb enough to leave some traces behind him that can be used to link the address to his real identity.
Keep an eye on the hacker's address and all addresses linked to it, maybe it will lead you to something.
5110  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wasabi Wallet Shows Public Key - Privacey Concerns on: November 30, 2019, 07:54:35 PM
Obviously that can't steel your coins with that, just wondering if there a some negative privacy effects to them having that public key before you ever spend those coins to the network and reveal the public key.
Yes, your funds are safe and there is no risk regarding your privacy as all they can do with your public key they can already do it with your public address.
Your privacy may be at risk only when your xPUB key is disclosed.
By knowing your extended public key, an attacker can extract all your wallet public keys. Hence, he will be able to know about all transactions you make from that wallet and how much bitcoins you have on it.
5111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wasabi Wallet Shows Public Key - Privacey Concerns on: November 30, 2019, 06:34:01 PM
The public key is just your BTC address
Actually, btc address or public address is derived from the public key using some hashing algorithms.
I think OP here is talking about the public address since it is it what is being shown when creating a new address on Wasabi. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
I don't think this imply any risk since your public address is meant to be shared. Also, if Wasabi doesn't show your address in plain text, whoever monitoring your screen can simply extract it from the QRCode by using any online decoder.

5112  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't ask for a loans without collateral if you are new. on: November 30, 2019, 11:59:36 AM
As newbie, the first thing you should do is to read sticky threads.
On Lending section there are already four of them. If you read those threads you would notice that all of them clearly warn from making deals with newbies or lending without collateral.

Don't take it personally. The tag doesn't mean you are a scammer. It is just a warning for others to be careful when dealing with you.
5113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, What did you buy with your bitcoins on Black Friday? on: November 29, 2019, 11:59:10 PM
A friend of mine changed my mind, because he says we (The Bitcoiners of this world) must support the merchants that supports Bitcoin or they will
Your friend is completely right. Bitcoin is meant to be used not to be stored. If everyone will refrain from using it then it will have no value.

Anyway, you can make some purchases now during the black friday using your bitcoins, so you don't miss the huge discounts, then buy more cryptos with cash later and refill your wallets.
5114  Other / Meta / Re: History of local boards on: November 29, 2019, 10:45:48 PM
The Arabic thread link which is posted in the OP, had been likely posted in a Non-Arabic board and moved to the Arabic board after it was created.
There might be some other errors in the OP due to moved topics.
Exactly. That topic was posted under Other languages/locations sub-section then moved -later- to the Arabic board (there are few other topics written in Arabic that haven't been moved yet).

If I am not mistaken, this was the first post written in Arabic.
5115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: GreenAddress Login Problem... Does anyone else having issue? on: November 29, 2019, 09:40:55 PM
Sad Now having confirmation delay issue, when I even used "bump fee". It's almost 6 hrs now transaction hasn't confirmed and I can't hope the transaction to confirm maybe for another 6 hrs.  Angry
You should not use rbf when paying a bitpay invoice.
Bitpay will detect the hash id of your transaction and by using rbf you create a new transaction with new hash id. The first transaction will be rejected and will be considered as invalid by bitpay Sad
That's why they always ask you to pay higher fees than what's actually needed.

BitPay sucks
5116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Help] I want to buy hardware wallet using btc, not Paypal. on: November 29, 2019, 07:53:55 PM
This is why am asking about the relation between the exchange and the wallet, and if there is any possibility for the exchange to collect any kind of data from the wallet without my permission.
I don't think they can do that as the main purpose from using a hardware wallet is to keep your private keys offline and never share them with any third party.
If you are still skeptical, you can connect KeepKey to Electrum and use it instead of ShapeShift.

Actually, am searching how to get a quick 20$ to purchase a wallet (cost 18$). Unfortunetly, i have an opened loan so i can't ask for another before December 02.
I just noticed your PM. I can lend you the amount needed to buy one. Just drop me à message with your bitcoin address.
5117  Other / Meta / Re: History of local boards on: November 29, 2019, 06:29:19 PM
Great job tranthidung. Your topic motivated me to visit some local boards to know what's going on there and what are the main subjects that are being discussed on each one of them.

Regarding the Arabic local board, please update the creation date to the 9th of October 2017:

Glad to see my local board tagged as Active.
5118  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Help] I want to buy hardware wallet using btc, not Paypal. on: November 29, 2019, 03:09:35 PM
Am from Tunisia. Here we can't use international paiement cards as we can't transfer money out of the country. We can create a paypal account but can't be verified using tunisian address. This is what i meant by "not supported".
Make sure to visit the Currency exchange section where you can find well reputed members that will pay your invoices with their Paypal accounts and you can pay them with Bitcoin (some may ask for a commission)

This lead me to ask if i have to connect Keepkey to a registered shapeshift account ? Isn't an indepandant wallet that works seperately?
No, you don't have to create an account or to verify your identity unless you want to use their integrated exchange.
5119  Economy / Services / Re: i need help install bitcoind in vps my site vs 20$ bitcoin on: November 28, 2019, 11:39:42 PM
I think you should move this to Services section.
Use the "move topic" on bottom left.

Are you trying to add a bitcoin payment gateway to your website! If yes, then you don't have to run a full node. You can use a bitcoin payment processor such as BTCPay (the most recommended but not the easiest to implement though).

Anyway, if you are going to hire someone to do it for you, make sure to use an escrow.
5120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Open Port 8333 Necessary to Broadcast Transactions? on: November 28, 2019, 10:42:15 PM
Open Port 8333 is only necessary if you plan to contribute to Bitcoin Network or actually running a full node.
Besides, to accept incoming connections on testnet you have to open the default port 18333 not 8333.
@OP, You don't have to enable incoming connections to be able to broadcast a transaction.
