5101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Institutions investors will adopt bitcoin. on: October 11, 2018, 07:33:26 PM
I foreseen another global economic crisis in three to six years to come because of the way bankers are doing with investors fund and giving loan to institutions that are not capable to repay. Blockchain technology may become the tools that will be used to recover from the crisis and from there institutions investors will come into the market.
I don't think a global economic crisis is going to take place because of loan defaulters. Moreover, banks right now are more strict when providing loans to different companies. And how do you think bitcoin or the blockchain technology is going to help deal with this situations?  It might help, but it totally depends on how much the investors will be willing to trust bitcoin as there safe-exit. The price might go sky rocketing or end up being dumped.
5102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrencies prices decline again, what much do we expect? on: October 11, 2018, 07:19:28 PM
Nothing much to be honest. The price going up and down is actually a normal thing for us right now. The fall took place within few minutes and went down to almost $6,100 USD but eventually went back to $6,200 USD. We can blame those trading bots or the whales for such sudden drops taking place. Another reason for the sell off might be cause of the IFM warning. There is nothing much we can expect right now other than holding your investment.
5103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Survey Shows 80% Of Americans Have Heard Of Bitcoin on: October 11, 2018, 06:17:48 PM
Hearing about bitcoin and having knowledge about it is not the same thing. People hear stuffs, and eventually forgets about it or ends up just knowing the "word" and nothing else about it. Thus they do not have enough knowledge about what they "heard". The same thing goes for the case of bitcoin. They heard about bitcoin a lot, but does not know anything about it. Thus, no interest has been generated. Moreover, they got to know about bitcoin through the media which usually spreads negative news through exaggeration which is one of the reason why most people know about bitcoin but is afraid/ignoring its potential.
5104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts coin vs BTC on: October 11, 2018, 05:35:37 PM
I want to know that which will be more profitable in future BTC or alts? Though i am a die heart fan of BTC but for now i think alts will be more profitable than BTC. So what's your opinion? Comment please.
Depends on what kind of alt coins you are investing on. There are altcoins that will give you massive quick profits, but those are riskiest ones. You might end up losing everything you have invested on. Those are the coins that are out there for few days for pumping and dumping. On other hand, bitcoin will give you steady profit in the long run and is more risk free than altcoins when investing. So its your call.
5105  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Positive or negative promotion strengthens crypto market? on: October 10, 2018, 07:29:58 PM
Positive promotions brings more investors fall into crypto market. Yes and this is agreed. I would like to say that negative promotion filters strong and confident investors in the market. How do you see it? I say we need strong and confident investors in the crypto market then investors who just look for huge profits a sudden and leave out for another platform if they do not see profits within the time they expect. Whats your thought on it?
Positive news does indeed bring more people to the market, but sometime negative or bad publicity brings in more people than positive publicity. People tend to hear more about negative news than those of positive publicity. This in turn helps to draw attention towards something that would otherwise would have gone unnoticed. Like, look at the amount of negativity that was passed when the price of bitcoin was rising extremely fast back in 2017. As a result of those negative news, more people got to know about bitcoin for the first time and most of them ended up being more interested on it.
5106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to increase profit in the market! on: October 10, 2018, 06:01:10 PM
This isn't the best way. In fact, you are wasting more time than you are earning. If you put on these effort on doing something more productive, you would actually be earning more. You could spend those time on doing real life practical jobs and use your earnings to buy crypto currencies. Air drops are actually waste (unless you get extremely lucky with a coin) and most of them usually do not worth much. ICOs end up being scam or valueless. Spending your time on ICO is just a lost cause.
5107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin bring an end to Paypal? on: October 10, 2018, 05:34:02 AM
Maybe. Maybe not. People might end up adopting bitcoin in the future, but this does not mean that it is the end of fiat currency. I am assuming both will prevail side by side. In case of PayPal being replaced as a payment gateway, i doubt that will happen. People does not want to use their creditcards, but they want protection against scams. Bitcoin does not provide that protection, but buy does that. One of the reasons why people might also want to stick with paypal.
5108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you trust a new cryptocurrency? on: October 10, 2018, 04:11:44 AM
Most of the alt coin that comes out are actually clone of other coins or  just pure dumb/pump coins that eventually dies just after few weeks. Usually coins that have potential, unique and is functionally different with a good development team are the ones that can be trusted. But you will see people investing on shit coins, just because of greed. They hope that they can make some quick good money and exit without losing anything.
5109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how governments can regulate digital currencies? on: October 06, 2018, 03:33:55 PM
Eventually they will have to connect to the internet if they will want to cash out their profit unless they are willing to do a p2p physical transaction. Most of the exchanges now requires you to fill the "Know Your Customer" form. This is done to keep track of your investments. Not only in exchanges, if you want to buy bitcoins directly online you will be required to submit your identification and other personal information. If such actions are not taken by the service providers, the government will not let them operate their services. That is different laws are being placed by the government in an effort to bring full regulation of crypto currencies..
5110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can blockchain replace bank? on: October 06, 2018, 01:45:33 PM
It is unlikely that it will be able to replace it, because the Bank is interest rates, jobs and so on. Also on all people there is information, there is a history. And bitcoin provides anonymity
I doubt the banking system will ever be replaced. As long as there are fiat currencies, bank will exist. Do keep in mind that bank is not used only for storing assets and money but used for taking loans. The banks are able to do credit creation by giving out loans to business which is not possible though other means. The banks won't be replaced but the technology of blockchain might be used by them.
5111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yahoo Japan to Launch Crypto Exchange on: October 06, 2018, 01:11:48 PM
Well, that actually is a great news. Yahoo was always into crypto currencies. They know the potential of it and the benefits behind it. I suppose an exchange being operated by Yahoo will actually bring some light to the Japanese people. A well known company can spread out its good news with ease. It gets more better since they will be extending their services to other parts of the world. Lets see what happens after everything has been launched.
5112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My sweet and bitter experience about bitcoin on: October 06, 2018, 12:08:59 PM
There will always be ups and downs when you are investing on bitcoin or any other crypto currencies. At least you made some profit by cashing out some of your coins before the huge price fall. You at least were able to coverup your initial investment. There are investors out there that joined the market at the wrong time and ended up selling everything by panicking due to the fall and made huge losses. You should consider yourself lucky to be honest Smiley.
5113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to prevent selling your bitcoin prematurely, use this strategy on: October 06, 2018, 08:13:32 AM
These are not strategies to hold bitcoin you have stated, rather some ways to get something out of your holdings. First of all, people trade to make some quick money. This is called active trading investment and is different from long term investments. It has risks but the profits gained from it is totally worth taking those risks. And how did you come up with that 85:15 ratio? I though we were talking about holding for long term. How is it any different when you are selling your altcoins for money? Altcoins are more unstable and high chances of making huge loss with altcoins. With air drops you need to be extremely lucky or else you will only be collecting dusts.
5114  Economy / Economics / Re: What if there is a natural disaster, such as an earthquake? on: October 06, 2018, 06:52:56 AM
If the disaster is not a world wide disaster than I don't think it will have much impact on the prices of crypto currencies. Now lets see what the situation will be if a disaster happens on a specific country. The economy might fall. They might start using bitcoin not as a currency but a storage value to secure their funds and assets. Using them as a currency would be not possible since there might be time to time power outage or the internet might not be stable. Again, most merchants don't accept bitcoin as a form of payment.
5115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be sent, received or traded (used) without the internet? on: October 06, 2018, 06:08:41 AM
If both of the person are in two different places and you want to send him bitcoins, then it is not possible to do so for now without the internet. You need to be connected to the internet to do so. Even if you manage to sign the transaction offline, it must be broadcasted to the blockchain which will require the internet. You can trade p2p with paper wallet, but the issuer must be extremely trusted.
5116  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Discussion: Bitcoin Trading Scams on: October 05, 2018, 06:21:54 PM
Many a trader got scammed in recent years due to the fraudulent projects, no matter if they are ICOs, social media "gurus" or trading platforms. In my opinion, it would be important to first educate beginners (here's an article on how to avoid mistakes, scams included https://www.cryptocointrade.com/education/avoid-cryptocurrency-trading-mistakes/). How do you figure one out and what can be done in near future to limit these frauds an access to the market?
There are some obvious signs that actually tells us whether an ICO is a scam or legit. First of all, look at the developers and the whole team. If they are well known developers, chances are low that they will be scamming. But this does not mean that all new developers are scammers. You should give them chances to prove themselves. As long as they are totally transparent with everything, you will be fine. Also if the project is a clone of another one, chances of the project not being successful is high. Just look for those obvious signals. The only to limit these frauds are to call them out and ignore them.
5117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner's Luck on: October 05, 2018, 06:03:20 PM
I've seen beginners luck twice in my family.
First my little brother, who was then below legal age required to place bets, won single bet (football correct score) with odds x25 Shocked It was his first ever if I remember correctly.
Then my grandma, she started betting on matches we were watching on tv etc. and she had 6 consecutive wins, later during world cup her luck continued for group phase but it ended with knock-out phase and despite her effort she's unlucky since then
Honestly, there is no such thing as beginners luck. Your brother won, cause he was lucky. Your grandma managed to have 6 consecutive win because she got lucky. She is losing now, cause she is getting "unlucky" and odds are not with her. These are the games of chances. Something can happen or not happen. Depends totally on your luck. Luck is still the same for an amateur or a professional gambler.
5118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can you invest in bitcoin without being scammed? on: October 05, 2018, 03:48:15 PM
You should use trusted websites when buying bitcoin. Look for reviews on this forum and the internet before initiating any kind of transaction. Try to find multiple sites and choose a site that you will feel comfortable to use. If making P2P transactions, make sure you are with someone. After investing, you should take steps to secure your bitcoin from getting hacked. There are various articles that shows how to keep your coins secure on the internet. Follow them and stay safe.
5119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to HODL only 1 cryptocurrency for 10 years how should you choose? on: October 05, 2018, 03:08:31 PM
If it is going to be only crypto currency, then it will be bitcoin. Bitcoin is the first crypto currency invented. It is recognized more than any other crypto currencies out there. It is here to stay unlike other alt coins that might fail and be replaced. It is widely acceptable than any other coins. It is currently dominating the market and as time goes by more people will start adopting it. Thus, after another decade the demand for it will end up being more than any other currencies.
5120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future payment methods of bitcoin and crypto on: October 05, 2018, 06:21:42 AM
Electronic money is an accepted payment method in many countries. In many other European countries, digital money trends are also increasing. People should also be ready to approach and see opportunities to do better, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. Banks and computer security organizations can rely on multiple stakeholders and encrypt it to ensure increased security and safety; Public transport can be operated with blockchain without intermediaries; startup in the field can help set up the system automatically once the user knows how to use it; Energy distributors can cut the huge costs associated with distribution and centralized management.
Don't mix up digital money with crypto currencies. Both are virtual currencies, but digital money is related and equivalent of physical fiat currency. They are totally centralized and controlled by some authorities. On other hand, bitcoin and crypto currencies are virtual currency that is decentralized and has no relation with fiat currency (other than value evaluation) at all.
