Anyone interested in the ongoing U-19 world cup? We had an upset in the very first match. Afghanistan thrashed South Africa by 7 wickets, with 25 overs to spare. Afghan spinner Shafiqullah Ghafari destroyed the South Africa, by taking 6 wickets for 15 runs. I have a feeling that this is the way things will be in the future. South Africa is a declining team, and Afghanistan is one of the sides that are rapidly improving. The manner in which they annihilated South Africa means that in the future they will be one of the top cricketing sides.
That's a threat for South Africa cricket. Their current team isn't doing good. If the future one also same, I see some bad years for them in cricket.
Today, Bangladesh will play against Zimbabwe. In warm up Bangladesh had good performance against Australi but had a worst against NZ. I think they will win today.

These are the matches we have for today:

Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe
Japan vs New Zealand
Canada vs UAE
Australia vs West Indies

Apart from the 4th match (AUS vs WI), I expect all of them to be one-sided. Japan will be playing their first match ever in U19 World Cup. They are up against one of the strongest teams.

Australia just proved that they can dominate India and if India can rebound then it would be great because the odds will be in favor of Australia, i wanted good odds and for that India needs to perform better in the next match and if that does not happen then the odds will be loop sided. Before the series i was expecting a close series but it is a one sided trashing and India needs some extraordinary performance to win the match.

Australia is having a very balanced team and most of their players are in top form. On the other hand, India is heavily dependent on a few players, such as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for batting and Jasprit Bumrah for bowling. Unless the younger players (such as Sreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav) can share some of this load, defeating Australia is going to be a very distant dream.

Very concerned for those who buy at high prices. They are too lust when they see prices are rising. Moreover, yesterday the price of BSV rose by 100%. Obviously this makes people want to buy it and want to be part of the price increase.

Most of the investors know that BSV is an extremely high risk asset. They are taking that risk and nobody else has the right to dictate to them on how to spend their money. Till now, I haven't made any investment in BSV and I am 100% certain that Craig S Wright is not Satoshi Nakamoto. But that is my personal opinion. I am not going to pickup a fight with someone, if he argues that Mr.Wright is Satoshi.

I do agree with that as South Africa does lack good player who can bat for a long period of time and it will be another disappointing match for South Africa.
It looks like the England players are really determined to win the match by the way in which they are progressing and this is the slowest Test match i have seen in a very long time with a run rate of around 2.4 and if they are able to post a total of over 350 runs then it will be a difficult task for South Africa as they are yet to find the perfect combination in the Test team.

This is how teams should be batting in test matches, especially while playing in pitches which are conductive to pace bowling. A few decades back, a run rate of 2.4 runs per over would be considered nothing special. But nowadays, most of the matches have a scoring rate of 3.5 to 4.0 runs per over. Batsmen no longer have the patience to defend against good bowlers.
5105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 16, 2020, 03:47:03 PM
England batsman got the start but they were not able to capitalize on the start they got and they are progression at a very slow rate.

They are doing the right thing. Any score above 350 is going to give advantage to England. So far in this series, South Africa has never managed a total above 300, in any of their innings. England bowlers are in top form, and if they get a score above 350-400, then it should be enough to thrash the Proteas. The partnership between Pope and Stokes is worth 76 runs as of now, and I won't be surprised if one of them hits a century tomorrow.
5106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Super League (ISL) Football match updates, predictions and discussions on: January 16, 2020, 03:40:13 PM
Hyderabad FC is looking pathetic. They just have 5 points from 13 matches, with just one win. Today we have the match between the 8th and 9th ranked sides (Chennaiyin FC and Northeast United FC). If NEUFC wins the match, then they will jump from 9th spot to the 6th spot. I expect them to win, because Chennaiyin is regarded as one of the weak teams.

Whole Market is manipulated including bitcoin.

You can say that. But the level of manipulation varies from coin to coin. I would say that it is extremely difficult to manipulate the exchange rate of a currency such as Bitcoin, which is being traded across hundreds of exchanges and having a market capitalization of more than $150 billion. But it is definitely possible with BSV, which has a market cap of only around $5 billion and traded in a few dozen smaller exchanges.

According to Sarfraz Nawaz, two of Pakistan's matches during the 1999 World Cup were fixed. I could still digest if they say that they had fixed the match against Bangladesh. But when Nawaz claims that the India vs Pakistan match was also fixed..... I am finding it almost impossible to believe. Taking in to account all the bad blood between the two nations, do you really believe that Pakistani players would have the courage to fix a match against India? If they do so, then they will be hounded down in Pakistan.
5109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 16, 2020, 03:22:25 PM
Well, I hope Indians don't lose again tomorrow like the way they lost this one. Aussies, please lower the winning margin from next time; at least lose a couple of wickets before completing the target so that Smith too can get a chance to bash Shami and Bumrah! Smiley

Australian players (and fans) should not get carried away by the results from the first match. The fact is that India remains the strongest team in the world, and when they are in good form they can just blow away the opposition. They have some of the best batsmen and bowlers. It was the same Indian team which destroyed Australia (in Australia) a few years ago.

Yeah they have only 1-2 good batsman not more than that but still Ireland did good out there. I would say all because of Stirling. 208 was a good target and WI did get close but in the end didn't made it.

Regarding Stirling, I would say player has to go through a lot. Everyone has their way of thinking. We may see a potential of evolving and enjoying winning moments and see financial benefits playing under England but maybe he sees amount of regular chances playing for Ireland or don't want to face criticism from his country peoples.

Stirling used to play for one of the county sides and the county contract was very lucrative. Even if he doesn't get a permanent slot in the English side, he could have played for the county and earned well. He said goodbye to that and signed a contract with the Irish board for a much lower amount. It is his choice and no one has the right to criticize him. But he is not the only one. Faf du Plessis of South Africa had initially signed a Kolpal contract in England. But after a few months, he cancelled the contract and returned to SA.

From what I have heard, the South Florida judge has given Craig Wright time until February first week, to prove his ownership of the coins. Wright is now claiming that he has the private keys to access all the coins (which according to him arrived via a bounded courier on 14th January). We just need to wait for another three weeks. If Wright is unable to prove his ownership, he will go to jail and BSV would die.
5112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 16, 2020, 02:44:10 PM
A couple of decades back, it was Bangladesh's biggest wish to play against Pakistan in Pakistan; I can't believe how much the stuff has changed since then.
In the late 90s, Pakistan even deliberately lost against the Tigers just so that they can get the Test status. Lips sealed
Are you serious, loosing a match deliberately to help a team to get Test status is ridiculous as it will attract a ban if i am not mistaken but i am not sure about these history. When Bangladesh was not having Test status they will be eager to play to have more traction so that they will get the status they were looking for and in the past Pakistan has some of the best bowlers in history especially Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis and if they were in the team i am sure Bangladesh would have suffered badly. Hope you meant that by taking the main players from the team to help Bangladesh and not the other way around.

What a load of BS!! I didn't noticed this post. Bangladesh were granted test status because they performed well (within their limits) during the 90s and due to the fact that cricket is the most popular sport there. They didn't got the test status because they were able to beat Pakistan in 1999. That might have played a very minor role, but claiming credit for that is like Poland claiming that they were the ones who defeated the Nazi Germany in 1945.

You have to sell some coins for bitcoin right away and always because it can help you not to lose too much but even to make a high profit. ICOs cannot invest anymore.

Fewer and fewer ICOs are getting listed every month and the success rate shows no sign of improvement. There may be good projects out there, but searching for them is like looking for a needle in the haystack. I agree with you. Depending on the future prospects, we need to sell some of these coins and tokens for Bitcoin as soon as we get them in our wallet.
5114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be aware, so many scam coins are around on: January 16, 2020, 02:25:01 PM
Scammers have many other ways to get victimized, Like Token Swap.

You will receive coins of 100 USD worth but suddenly the developers announce that there is a token swap which will have a 3-1 ratio and therefore the coins we hold will result in lower value.

Such swaps are not legal. If they are doing a token swap, they need to make sure that everyone who owns the tokens are properly compensated. If someone initiates legal action, then the ICO promoters will be in big trouble. But to their credit, very few of the victims will go for the legal option and even if someone takes action these guys will vanish with all the money.

What about tomorrow's match (at Rajkot)? I have a feeling that India is going to win this one. They were complacent during the first match, but after the shock treatment they got now they are going to fight like wounded tigers. I won't be surprised if Shardul Thakur is replaced by Navdeep Saini. But apart from that, I don't expect any changes to the playing XI.

There seems to be a lot of controversy ongoing in South Africa over the selection. Temba Bavuma have been kicked out of the team for poor performance (he averaged 19.84 per innings last year). The board is not happy, because he was the only Black batsman in the squad. Some of the board members want Faf du Plessis to be replaced with Bavuma. Let's see how that works.

BTW, the board has given strict instructions for the second test (to decrease the representation of white players). As a result, Dane Paterson has been included in the side (replacing Dwaine Pretorius).

I feared new altcoins will be left out so i start selling some coins for bitcoin because it can be a big blow if altcoin fails to surge like in 2017 after bitcoin reach a new ATH, what do you think? And what would you have done in my position

The altcoin market looks too saturated for the new coins to make an impact. In case a coin goes down by 80% or 90% upon its listing, there is hardly any chance of a recovery later. In such cases, I'd recommend the user to sell these coins for either BTC or ETH. And what happened in 2017 is not going to repeat in 2020. Back then we had too many immature users, which is not the case now.

^^^^ Well.. I have also not visited either Pakistan or Bangladesh (although Bangladesh border is around 100 km from where I live). The security situation in Pakistan varies from region to region. The major cities (Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore, Rawalpindi.etc) have remained relatively free from violence. But it is an entirely different story if you go to the tribal areas.
5119  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Two Exchanges in 2019 lost over $70,000,000 on: January 15, 2020, 05:28:19 PM
There are hundreds of large and medium sized cryptocurrency exchanges out there and a handful of them get hacked every year. But in my opinion, the frequency is declining now. The amount being stolen is also going down. For example, the Mt Gox robbery resulted in a loss of close to $600 million (would be $5 billion at current exchange rates). The figures given by the OP looks minuscule when compared to that.
5120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 15, 2020, 05:22:10 PM
The situation in Pakistan is really tricky, if the teams are not willing to tour because of security reasons the Pakistan cricket board cannot do anything about it but they can take a strict decision on not playing in neutral ground and what the ICC will do in these situation is to be seen as there was already an attack against cricket players and if something goes wrong it will be a big burden for the board and considering these situation i am not expecting the ICC to force any team to tour Pakistan. They have their PSL coming up and let them conduct the entire tournament and show the whole world that they are safe for sport.

The attack against the Sri Lankan players happened in 2009, which is more than a decade ago. Times have changed. The Sri Lankan team team has visited Pakistan multiple times after that incident, without any major security issues. When the Sri Lankans can visit, I don't understand the reluctance being shown by the other teams (especially Bangladesh, a country which had its own fair share of terrorist attacks).
