Theymos must kindof like it too for some reason since he allows it to take up so much forum resources.. I wonder what he thinks about the whole situation.. I bet he really has a big picture view of the situation that I would like to know..

I guess it's because of ad revenue it brings, it's win-win situation for both parties so why not?
5122  Other / Meta / Re: [Discussion] A Bug in Bounty Campaigns – Subconscious Perception on: January 22, 2020, 07:18:11 AM
Interesting topic op! I have been doing bounty campaigns since last couple years, and most had mandatory avatar, some even had extra payout for wearing avatars.

Signature only campaigns are certainly missing on promotion, picture speaks more than words.

~Snip~
I can only visit the Homepage. The other page/categories are not accessible.
I guess their server is offline for a while.

It's working fine for me, also you can reach Naimish on Twitter /telegram if need arises.
5124  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Notifier |merit and quotes| push notifications on: January 21, 2020, 02:35:54 PM

Next feature - subscribing and receiving notifications via Telegram!

giammangiato's telegram bot already does that, is there really need for that?
5125  Local / India / Re: Looking for a best Indian crypto media on: January 20, 2020, 12:01:22 PM
most Indian non-english crypto media is just bunch of clickbaity bs. You are better off them.
5126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Enhanced privacy with Wasabi & Samourai wallets on: January 19, 2020, 11:39:06 AM
Just a bit to add: https://news.bitcoin.com/google-play-store-samourai-wallet-security-features/

Samourai android had some more nifty features, which got removed because Google play didn't allow publishing with them built in.

Ps: Why android version still early access though?
5127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Every Newbie must learn about BBcodes on: January 19, 2020, 11:28:53 AM
When you post there is already a neat icons which requires only a click from you, no need to type manually.
5128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to secure your asset in forkdelta? on: January 19, 2020, 11:26:08 AM
I have not used forkdelta since long time but regarding 7th point you can write the amount of blocks, so if you want your order to sit there for long time just put some zeroes there.
5129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH, BSV more profitable than Ethereum? on: January 18, 2020, 05:39:56 AM
You know they say, don't chase the bulls. If you buy bsv now, you will most likely lose the profits that eth could give and might become the victim of dump in coin you bought .

Btw, eth is up from $140ish to $170 since you posted this thread.
5130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you prefer to hold for more than a year? on: January 18, 2020, 05:36:58 AM
I am holding steem, which I already been holding for few years  Tongue and still holding it, I didn't invest much though, most of it is earned by posting and curating. I consider it a long term hold, let's see how much it lasts.
5131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You think that governments might adopt cryptocurrencies to replace fiat currency on: January 17, 2020, 06:30:45 AM
I doubt they would ever replace fiat currency, since they control it. Imo, the most they would ever do is create a coin/token to fiat counterpart.
5132  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Founder Account Last Few years not active on: January 17, 2020, 06:26:28 AM
'last few years'  — it's nearly a decade, if he was still active then there wouldn't be as much as hype about his identity.
5133  Other / Meta / Re: Are "giving merit to those who need a bump to rank up" topics allowed today? on: January 16, 2020, 03:45:48 AM
There is no strict behaviour on where you send your merits, so answer is yes.

5134  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best wallet on: January 15, 2020, 03:26:37 AM
Hello to everyone. I created account here to ask about the best wallet for LTC and Stellar. Also if you can recommend some physical wallet too.
Thanks
Edit currently I store funds at coinomi

... it be a famous large wallet..

Famous wallets are more prone to hacks and such, if you want most security always opt for hardware wallet. Period.

Ledger, trezor have good reputation when talking of hardware wallet. Do remember to always buy from trusted seller.
5135  Local / India / Re: SBI's action against bank account holders dealing in crypto on: January 15, 2020, 03:17:44 AM
^ Most don't care enough to go to court, they would rather just let go of the account.

To be precise in the past two days i sold BSV which i was holding for a long time but not everything and it is a fairly huge amount in Kotak bank just to check after seeing this topic. Lets see what happens Grin.

Wish I was as courageous as you.
5136  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways of earning merit. on: January 14, 2020, 04:44:14 AM
1) Take part in contests, for example, in 10th anniversary art contest there were tons merit being given away to participants (their work was good, no doubt on that).

2) Take part in giveaway threads, there were lots on Christmas and on new year days.
5137  Local / India / Re: SBI's action against bank account holders dealing in crypto on: January 14, 2020, 04:36:48 AM
Kotak is strict on crypto, they sent notices, calls to consumers for suspected transactions, even when you register they tell to not do any transactions in crypto
Won't be surprised if they closed the accounts.
How about the customers who are having account before they added this disclaimer.

Disclaimer was for awareness's sake, if rbi puts a guideline, does it matter when you created the account?

Quote
my biggest doubt is that how are they going to determine whether someone is dealing with bitcoin or other assets, either they need to create a separate wing to monitor those which is expensive as it is not that easy to monitor those unless they want to monitor and question every transaction and how they are going to provide a proof in court when the case regarding it is still sitting in Supreme court.

Some people put crypto remarks in crypto transactions(mistakenly/deliberately idk), this makes banks aware of it.

And quite possibly, if you linked your bank account to zebpay/etc when there was no rbi ban, then they can suspect that you used to deal in crypto and might still be doing it.
5138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Saving your private key in your email is a lethal move on: January 13, 2020, 05:10:48 AM
When I created my first wallet (on blockchain wallet), I had private key saved on my email, stupid I know, but when you are new you don't know any better. And more often than not, you learn after that mistake costs.
5139  Local / India / Re: SBI's action against bank account holders dealing in crypto on: January 13, 2020, 05:04:03 AM
Kotak is strict on crypto, they sent notices, calls to consumers for suspected transactions, even when you register they tell to not do any transactions in crypto (click me!)

Won't be surprised if they closed the accounts.

Edit: not close, but freeze
5140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Says Forks Are Bad? on: January 12, 2020, 03:56:28 AM
Is it all about money? Forks are not bad per se, but for more often than not they don't bring anything new to the table.
