I should really take the time to learn how to clone from git and make modifications. If I get good enough, I can keep these coins coming. LOL

I'm not sure how this works. So after 20 confirms and four realtime hours, do the lucky 5000 coin holders get mature coins eligible for staking? Or do the lucky stakers have to wait not only 20 blocks, but an additional 240 blocks for their coins to mature?

Is this coin getting taken over?  Shocked Shocked

We could arrange a takeover if the community wants or if the dev needs help! let me know I can work out the arrangements...I currently own a good amount of Shell so maybe I will make an offer!

I'm not sure if it is too soon. The dev has not been active since May 21st. Wouldn't want to kidnap someone's baby.

Well, as soon as I have 5000 coins, I will redistribute 1000 coins to someone else. I'm only interested I keeping one masternode running because it is a pain in the butt to get more than one running. I might as well give the excess coins a good home where they can thrive and multiply.  Please don't abuse my coins and panic dump them.

I hope the first lucky staker dumps all the way down to my 1000 sat buy order. Need more greed for round 2 & 3, whenever that may be. Smiley

Worrying about preventing a 50% attack on a small SHA chain is pointless, theres an endless sea of hash out there and it costs very little to rent a few TH for a few minutes.

A better approach would just be to keep an eye on the chain and alert people if anything suspicious occurs.

That said when I tried to put my miner (antminer s5) on the official pool it didn't work. I'd be happy to volunteer it through block 11000 if I can get it working. I don't want to jack the diff up with a newer miner if that's not what people want, though.

Was there any feedback errors or anything?

I proxy it through MRR as it's located remotely, all I see is MRR blocking the pool whenever I try switch over.

Although the web page states to set the username to anything, I found the only way to get it to accept me is to use my greed address as username. But I have a batch file pointing my usb stick direct to the pool. Not sure if that will work going through MRR.

I got 1 node still on block 9659 8 min ago, everyone got same?

Yes, someone ran up the difficulty to 11k and bailed. It will take my usb stick a while to get the blockchain unstuck.
5129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Marbles on: May 31, 2015, 04:31:46 PM
At yobit.net ask price is at 0.00000006 so 20,000 MRB = 0.00119999 BTC = .28 cent. We should closed this thread if no other dev want to take over?

Yes, this coin can pretty much be written off. I have a masternode and I'm making 2 cents a day dumping on yobit. Pretty soon, there will be no more asks to dump on. Of course, you never know, a pump group may come to the rescue, temporarily. Amazingly, the network still works.

What is the issue with the chain?

The only issue with the network is that it is vulnerable to a 51% attack. We can keep our fingers crossed. It appears the hash just recently went way up. That is good news, I think.

At the moment, we need a few more people to dust off their USB sticks and volunteer to mine this for free. Right now, I am the only person keeping the blockchain moving. This is really unhealthy. I could get upset and just unplug my USB miner, and the network would slow down to a crawl. Also, my computer could go down or my USB stick could blow a capacitor. ATM, I could launch a 51% attack if I knew how...
I'm a good guy and promise not to do anything nasty. But this is cryptoworld. Can you really trust me that much?

Thanks for doing this btw.

I've been occasionally solo mining with my 350 MH. It's not much but it's something I guess.

Also you couldn't commit a 51% attack attempt via the pool to my knowledge. It would have to be the pool op attempting that (and he wont if that isn't obvious..).

True, but with a little bit of help from google, one could learn to set up their own private pool. (I can't figure out how to solo mine this coin. My attempt failed.) I just think we should have a few more volunteers to ensure that we don't have any BS.

Someone in cryptoland giving a **** about anyone else but himself? Someone that would do anything for free, anything that does not look like instant profit? Really?

Dream on - people are driven by greed.

It is an act of greed to "volunteer" to use 2 watts per hour to get this block chain moving. We do want the blockchain to keep moving to the big stake blocks? No? Furthermore, people do want to move their coins back and forth from Yobit. No?

I was first to post about it, and ya I googled but only one site had any info on it and that site has same description for everything on site. Trojans, worms all say same shit...and buy their anti malware to get rid of it. You would have to be a complete MORON to go by that. Since Bones that looks like you, and you have installed. Why dont you do alittle more digging. Check newly installed programs, see if anything new in program files. See if there is anything suspicious running in background. Then get back to us

I just did the Virustotal check on my old positron wallet and it came up with the same results.

This file checked clean before I reanalyzed today.

Also did this on my old 10K coin. (The coin is now dead, converted to other coin.)
Same results

This file also checked clean before I reanalyzed it today.

Checked my old crave wallet that I have not been using, same results

Shall we go on? Good news, my really old paycoin wallet came back clean.

Everyone use your own discretion and be careful. But I do believe the dev's false positive claim because I scanned seedbit (a similiar wallet) and just got the same virustotal hit. So it is either a false positive, or as dev said all these type wallets are infected Sad

Seedbit forum quote:

whatdidshedo: whast'sd with apn file folder this new wallet created in c: programdata along with pup (virus) or potentially unwanted software?

that was couple days ago when i got new seedbit wallet, PUP aka potentially unwanted program ... and removed it, someone said above he encountered same on seedbit.. i'm not sure what is it but usually those are programs that get downloaded accidentally cause people don't check off those options on some free software , but how that got into these wallets is beyond me ...hopefully someone will be able to answer you better and clear these things up..

Should be noted it was built in a virtual machine that has done nothing but work on greed. Exact same environment all the other releases came from. Must be a false positive..

i'm not acusing anyone but i haven't tried your new wallet cause i'm not home where my coins are but other day on seedbit i got that PUP, that dev also denied it, either you guys hired same guy(bad actor) or i don't know, but hopefully someone will be able to clear it up with better knowledge ..

Well, the PUP this states it is positive for would be a plugin to you browser, and is adware. My foxfire is working fine and I do not see that I have any pesky new toolbars, nor has my homepage or default search engine been changed. The reason I know this PUP is adware is because I googled it. But I guess that is just too hard for some people to do. I think this is a false positive.

i said it above i'm not the one that got it , cause i haven't tried wallet at all yet.. but u guess it is to hard for you to read above

Well, I'm sure that wherever you are at, you could have clicked on the virus total check link  and copied and pasted the name of the PUP into google. Instead you bring up FUD about all the new devs are hiring some bad actor. LOL.

FUD, i see you learned to follow the sheep and call anything that threatens your bag FUD, i explained what pup is above and it's not my job to protect this coin, just cause i own couple bucks of it i won't be whorin myself calling legitimate concerns fud.

Well, I cleared this up with better knowledge. The PUP that viruscheck is stating this wallet and other wallets has is plugin adware. I have also reported that my browser is not showing any symptoms of this kind of malware being successful on my system or even present. However, you can go with your theory that there is some bad actor out there wanting to add adware to our systems. Please dump on my low buy order on yobit.

we dont need a road map... keep staking and don't sell for cheap! its running strong and on a few exchanges, what more do you want?

I want a dev who will at least say hello. That way, if the network breaks down or there is some kind of issue on down the line, we know someone will try and fix it. Personally, i do not need a roadmap. Many of the potential promised features, I will never use anyway. And I know it would be a miracle if this coin will ever get mass adoption.
