They are trying to tag bitcoin to human behaviour, more like when they see someone behaving in a particular way they will like ask 'is he a bitcoin user'  . Impressive. It may have seemed like I was generalizing about universities, but this is not the first research coming from so-called highly educated people who should contribute to society in a positive way, and they are among those who poison society with various nonsense like claiming the world will remain dark because Bitcoin will consume all its energy - because it is difficult for them to calculate that it consumes a total of 0.14% of the world's total electricity production. In addition, from my own experience, I can say that I had very big problems when I explained Bitcoin to highly educated people, from those who have never been to university. Perhaps we can look for an explanation in the fact that some use this period of life mainly for some other things under the pretext that they are actually studying. Before you start posting your guides, it would be a good idea to look for similar content on the forum and not cover topics that have already been covered. It's not that I'm discouraging you or telling you what to publish or not, but some things like "how to install Electrum" or "how to make a cold wallet" are already topics with countless open threads. But, the question is, in which forum should I post them?
Anything related to wallets or is of a technical nature would belong in Development & Technical Discussion -> Wallet software, and some crypto wallet security tips also in the same boards or maybe in Beginners&Help. What you need to know is that the threads can be moved as needed, either by you as the one who opened them, or if the moderators think it is necessary. I used to think that people at universities were doing some serious things, but I'm starting to believe that there are a lot of rotten apples in that system, and as a result, there are even more rotten apples coming out of the system in the form of so-called highly educated people. Given where the research comes from, I am not surprised by such an attitude and thinking towards anything that deviates from already well-established values and uniform attitudes in society. By that, I mean the incredible scenes of violence that came from Australia when they terrorized ordinary people walking in parks or when they didn’t have a mask in the open.
Furthermore, this kind of research is nothing more than a continuation of the agenda "Bitcoin is bad in every sense", from consuming too much electricity, polluting the environment, and being used only by criminals.
If some independent scientists did research on these researchers, it somehow seems to me that on many of them would find exactly the same characteristics that they labeled Bitcoin investors.

Any type of publicity ultimately helps bitcoin to spread out no matter it's good or bad publicity. Wise people hear about it and then they do their own due diligence. And when you spend time on bitcoin then you realize you were in dark before. They wanted to keep you in dark to pocket their benefit. The rest is done automatically. Not the only option; you can move to Salvador and freely spend your bitcoin there . Joke aside I agree, still a long road ahead for bitcoin to reach the point where we can spend it directly on majority of places and some compromises will have to be made. I think some things about that story don't seem very ideal anymore, especially in light of recent events when President Bukele canceled his visit to a conference in Miami due to an allegedly fierce showdown between local gangs, where 9000 people have already been arrested link. This country is far from the security standards we are used to, at least as far as the EU is concerned.
I think that it is not impossible to live fully paying for goods and services with crypto (of course through payment processors), in countries where such conditions exist, and you are well aware of everything that exists in this regard in our country. In some parts of the country, even utilities can be paid for with Bitcoin, not to mention platforms like Bazzar where you can literally buy everything from needles to planes and pay in Bitcoin. I haven’t tried anything like that, but I think it would be feasible if someone made an effort. |

Very interesting topic, so even though I'm not technically savvy to discuss at this level, how much have I realized what happened in the past shouldn't happen anymore? What interests me is whether it is theoretically possible for such events to happen again, because if I understood correctly these two coinbase transactions with identical IDs actually annulled each other and we have 100 BTC less.
If it were possible to reproduce something similar, perhaps it might occur to someone to reduce the max supply a little more - or is it technically impossible to do so after a fix?

The style of writing and the topics of this user uses reminds me of some other thread spammers, it is possible that it is an alt account - but this is difficult to prove without some concrete evidence. You know what is so interesting about evolution? There is endless possibilities and it never stops. Human never stop learning and testing new things. This learning process continues because problem in human life keep appearing. There is a saying that " necessity is the mother of all invention". May be one day crypto will also lose its necessity and something else will took it place.
I have a similar opinion, people will never accept that it is impossible to do something better than what currently exists, not only when it comes to finances, but in any other segment of our daily lives. This eternal competition actually contributes to the development of society (although not always for the better), and if it were not so we would still be living in a world without the advanced technology that surrounds us today. How long cryptocurrencies will last and whether at some point a new innovator will come up with a revolutionary idea we can only guess.
