5141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 11, 2023, 07:24:19 PM
I was really surprised to see Tottenham in such condition. I have no idea how they lost this game against Leicester by an absurd score like 4-1. There was a quite balanced game actually but Leicester were much better at finishing. I had some doubts about Tottenham to win here maybe but I wasn't expecting a this much horrible result. I wish I didn't place my bet on Tottenham.

Kane - Kulusevski - Son trio couldn't do much in this game honestly. I really don't know why. Leicester were actually weak in defense in this season and they were a good target for this trio. But they had an unproductive day.

Yes, amazing results. It would seem that after the victory over City, Tottenham should return to business, but they crashed. And the score here is not very important because even a 0-0 draw would be akin to defeat in this game.
But Chelsea struck me the most - is this team ever going to win? Even taking into account the game in the reserve, they are already outside the European competition zone, and if you look at their results (and the results of Dortmund), they already look like outsiders in the upcoming Champions League game.
5142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK sponsored by Utopia on: February 11, 2023, 07:16:11 PM
Maybe because just doing it is not so easy? It is obvious to me that Fury understands that defeating Usyk will not be easy, and in case of defeat, the whole image of the "great champion Fury" will be completely destroyed. The stakes are incredibly high, aren't they? And judging objectively, a victory over Usyk will give Fury less than a defeat from Usyk will take away from him, that is, it is mathematically beneficial for Fury that this fight does not take place at all. Plus, do not forget that Usyk is two years older than Fury, which means that time works for Fury. Everything is simple.

I don't think it will be easy for him but I don't think Tyson is that worried about it either. The risk is worth the reward regardless. It will likely be a career high payday and the first chance to unify all the belts in nearly 20 years. He also gets the kudos of beating another unbeaten person. There's more to gain than to lose in my opinion.

I don't think we should take into account the issue of money here at all, with his popularity and the hype around his persona, Fury will be able to earn (if he needs it) even in exhibition fights. And in general, he no longer suffers from a lack of money  Grin
In the end, it remains: to take all 4 belts and defeat the invincible Usyk and go down in history in the way he dreamed against losing his belts and destroying the entire career that he had built all his life. This bet looks like an all-in bet. I don't like all-ins  Grin
5143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 11, 2023, 07:08:31 PM
4.60 is really a great odds considering that Milan and Torino are neighbors in the standings  Grin
But still I will choose Milan. +85% looks quite tempting and it's hard to believe that Milan will extend their winless streak to 8 games. After all, the reigning champion has to win at least sometimes?
With their big names, it is actually very tempting, especially when they are playing at home. The problem is their inconsistency that makes me a bit wary here. because looking at their current condition it's clear that 1.85 even though it's big but the risk is also clear with their defense which looks less cohesive at the moment and the difficulty in maintaining their mentality now I think the risk is also there even though it's something good if you just look at the odds .

Still, the bet on Milan worked. Although I did not watch the game, but seeing the statistics of the game, I have to admit that Milan's advantage was apparently far from obvious and the game could well have ended 0-0 or 1-1. The only thing Milan has added is in creating dangerous moments at the opponent's goal, but in general the team is still in the same bad shape. It is likely that the next game away against Monza will not be easy either (so we must wait another great odds).
5144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 11, 2023, 07:03:45 PM
It will be a shocked to see Elche defeat Real Madrid,  if it happens it is a sign to tell Real Madrid can't win laliga this season . Dip down in me I don't believe Elche will have advantage of Real madrid to win. Elche is at the bottom of the standings with last position, I have doubt to see Real Madrid lose this game. Real Madrid needs to fixed up their performance back , so as to continue the competition with an impressive result.
LOL, isn't losing and winning normal for any team? I don't think it's impossible to expect Elche to beat Real Madrid, but it's definitely hard to imagine because Elche is the last team in the standings at the moment.

So try to be calm because Real Madrid will very easily get 3 points in this match even if they are not in their best form recently. I'm just sure that Elche will lose by a high score because Real Madrid will definitely try to get high goals stats instead of just winning. 3 to 4 goals can be expected, and this is a good opportunity to get a bet.

The superiority of Real Madrid is undeniable, but I would not be sure that they will give even 70% and try to score a lot of goals. On the 21st they have an away game against Liverpool and I am sure that the club is already fully focused on preparing for it, and the game with Elche is seen as an annoying distraction. Therefore, I rather expect Real Madrid to win 1-0 or 2-0 in the "economy" mode.
5145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 11, 2023, 06:58:36 PM
I'm looking forward to Arsenal's postponed game against Man City. I think this could be the decider of the championship this season. The hope is that they will draw so that Man United can compete for the title this season. But Arsenal could have seized the moment of trouble Man city who are being accused of breaching more than 100 financial regulations in the Premier League. Although Pep loudly denied, but it will affect the psychological state of his players.

The public hypocrisy of Guardiola is certainly a funny sight, but he is nobody in this scheme and nobody cares about his opinion. FC City committed fraud and this is a proven fact, now the only question is how they will be punished for these frauds. Given the fact that now their opponent is the Premier League itself, I have little hope that the matter will not end in zilch, as in a showdown with UEFA and City will be punished in full.
5146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do casino and sports betting platform owners gamble as much as other people? on: February 10, 2023, 08:47:03 PM
Farmers who have chickens for eggs especially on a large scale, easily get tired of eating the eggs from their chickens or even eggs in general. Caterers get tired of eating their own pastries, just as people who are exposed to certain produce get tired of them due to over exposure. Do you think this experience is the same for casino owners and owners of sports betting platforms?

Do you think that the owners of casinos and sports betting platform, gamble as much as other people do? If they gamble, do you think they gamble on their platform?

Quite an interesting question. Reminds me of the rules of drug dealers not to use what they sell Grin
In fact, it seems to me that casino owners are the same people as everyone else (only with greater financial opportunities) and therefore they have similar preferences. Someone is only interested in business, someone is into sports, someone is into gambling, someone is into drugs/prostitutes, etc. Obviously, if they are passionate about gambling, then they are most likely high rollers. Whether they play in their casino is difficult to say, since on the one hand it is logical (the money goes to you yourself) and on the other hand it is not (it makes no sense to win at your own place).
5147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 10, 2023, 08:40:54 PM
I don't think PSG's loss against Marseille in the Coupe de France was unexpected. I indicated it before the match started as well. Marseille really had an opportunity ahead to eliminate the toughest rival in the tournament and they took it. I really appreciated Marseille's solid effort in that match and I believe it was a well-deserved win. Neymar - Messi duo couldn't play exactly in the way they wanted. If this duo were more productive then maybe the result would have been different.

Now we see there is a Monaco v PSG match in the league this time. The winning odds are nearly the same - 2.68 to 2.64. I even see Monaco being favourite by a slight margin on some websites. The odds made me a little surprised though so I'll go on with both teams to score instead.

Yes, it's quite strange to see such odds of PSG against the 4th team of France. Even with injuries to Mbappe and Messi, PSG should be the clear favorite. It may be assumed that PSG will put up a reserve squad for this game in general, as it will save energy before the game with Bayern. It is quite logical since nothing threatens the position of PSG in the championship.
5148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 10, 2023, 08:34:56 PM

That interested odds, we know Wolfsburg is not good on the last 2 matches, while Schalke was held Koln and Gladbach. but the number is still leaning toward to Wolfsburg, so if you are brave to Schalke or draw, I think is not a problem, because Wolfsburg is look disorganized after lose on their home. while Schalke even on bottom zone, they have a bit confidence and there is hope to grow up from degradation zone.

After the first half, the score is still 0 - 0 and now the bookmakers quotes are completely different:

3.25 - 2.50 - 2.76

Anyone who had the courage to bet on a draw now has the opportunity to either hedge his bet right now and make a profit or wait for the end of the game, since now a draw is the most likely outcome of the match.
5149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 10, 2023, 08:25:18 PM
Football is changing, that's a fact. And in the coming years, it will change radically because the old model just goes bankrupt/went bankrupt. Today there was new news about the launch of the Super League in a new format (which is vaguely similar to the new format of the Champions League). In the coming years, I think we will see fierce competition between three projects: the Super League, the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League. I hope that the Superleague and the Premier League will find common ground and the UEFA garbage will be finally thrown into the dump.
As far as I know most Premier League teams are against it, especially since the backlash. Liverpool fans basically got the board to apoligise, and I know several other clubs made a fuss about it, since it would absolutely kill football for me. I believe in grass roots football, and it's one of the things that makes it something to be passionate about. Theoretically, you can have teams make their way from the bottom of the pyramid, right up to the top. Now, these days we're seeing less of that due to the finances involved at the top, but like I said Leicester managed it recently, alright they did have quite a significant amount of money behind them, but nowhere near the likes of Man City.

I'm hoping the league becomes more strict on money being spent, but I'm not going to hold my breath that's for sure.

Yes, I remember the reaction of a significant part of the fans who came out strongly against the Super League and I was extremely surprised by this. But only a little time has passed and I see from the sports forums that the mood has changed and many fans are now at least neutral about the Super League and extremely negative about bureaucratic rubbish from FIFA and UEFA.
As for the Premier League clubs, yes, many are against it, since the Premier League is already a kind of Super League, but now the financial crisis is coming in the Premier League and they will have to solve it either within their organization or within the Super League. I don't see a normal solution within UEFA.
5150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 10, 2023, 08:18:34 PM
There is a really interesting rumour going around these days.

PSG are speculated to be interested in bringing Pep Guardiola to the team in case he decides to leave Manchester City. If he really leaves then this would be a huge opportunity for PSG actually. It is really hard to find solid managers like Guardiola these days. He has only the Champions League title as a target to achieve for Manchester City now. If he achieves it in this season then maybe he might really think seriously upon this action. I remember one time he seemed like he would think of leaving the team in the future.

If he signs for PSG then they would need to enter a revolution phase. Because Guardiola has a different system and he would like to see the players who can be useful in that.

A rather illogical decision to invite the loser Guardiola, who with the magnificent Bavaria could not win the Champions League, could not win the Champions League with City and endless money, and only with Barcelona where the golden generation of Spain, led by Xavi and Iniesta, played, could once. In fact, I would really like to see this transition take place and Guardiola continued to lose the Champions League season after season, leading another top club  Grin
5151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 10, 2023, 06:44:42 PM
That is awesome after hearing that Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi would miss tomorrow's game against Bayern Munich. With these key players missing from PSG's squad, I feel confident in placing my bets on Bayern. I'm crossing my fingers that Neymar will likewise be out for PSG, since his presence in the starting lineup would make Bayern more comfortable. Due to the absence of these crucial players, PSG may struggle in the first leg, giving Bayern a better chance of winning. The odds for Bayern is now 2.45

However, I realize that PSG fans may not take well to this information. There is always a chance of losing money whenever you bet on PSG, as unexpected things may happen in any game. While the absence of their favorite stars is certainly frustrating for fans, it does allow for other players to shine. This is a match I've been looking forward to seeing and I'm excited to see how it goes either way.

You are quite cynical  Grin
As for Neymar, it can be both a plus player for his team and a minus one (for example, earn a red card in a few minutes and leave the team in the minority).
Let's see how Galtier solves such problems, but I would not be too optimistic, since the star trio plays worse when they play together. Perhaps PSG without stars would be a more organized team. Although Mbappe is a loss anyway.
5152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK sponsored by Utopia on: February 10, 2023, 06:37:41 PM
Honestly, if this deal falls through, and Fury ends up fighting another Chisora I think he'd lose me as a fan, which is mad to say because I honestly think he's the best of this generation. I just can't be arsed for his antics. Sometimes they can be funny, and entertaining like the batman suit. However, the squabbling over contracts constantly, and not giving the fans what they want is annoying. Especially, when he's probably got two big fights left realistically. Just get it done, beat Usyk, then beat Joshua, and he could become the undisputed greatest of his generation. At the moment, there's question marks over it, even though I think he wipes the floor with both of these men personally.

At this stage of his career, I thought he'd be more interested in cementing that image in people's head, rather than money. The Fury family have plenty of money, and I always thought once you get to a certain amount of money which the Fury family certainly have hit, there's no real point going for excessive amounts, just live your life at that point.

AC Milan @1.85
Torino @4.60
Draw @3.60

This is the current odds for Milan vs Torino today and i can see Milan is the favourite because they had the low odds compared to Torino odds but i am quite doubt they will overcomes Torino especially Milan has 2 consecutive lose from Torino in the last 2 meetings

And apparently Torino has became the team who hard to be defeated by Milan besides that Milan recent performance also makes me doubt they can able to bounce back and get revenge from Torino that's why i am thinking to pick Torino win because possibly Milan will losing points again today and as i mention above the odds for Torino seems quite high

4.60 is really a great odds considering that Milan and Torino are neighbors in the standings  Grin
But still I will choose Milan. +85% looks quite tempting and it's hard to believe that Milan will extend their winless streak to 8 games. After all, the reigning champion has to win at least sometimes?
5154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 10, 2023, 06:18:35 PM
I think it's obvious to everyone that this "tournament" is in the nature of friendly games, and Real should take the title without any problems. But in any case, a title is a title, and to get here you must first win the most difficult Champions League. I hope that this cup will please the Real Madrid players and help them regain their confidence.
Al hilal is nothing compared with real madrid as long as madrid would perform pretty much the same like when madrid against al ahly. Al hilal is a bit stronger compared with al ahly. Al hilal has become the strongest team in arabian premier league.
that's why real madrid shall play serious against al hilal. The trophy is very close to the madrid. Ancellotti shall not miss this opportunity to take the first trophy from al hilal. Madrid must go all in against al hilal.
This trophy is really important to boost the mentality from player. I think that we shall aware that if madrid is not trying to go back to the its best performance again.

Yes, Real Madrid is an undeniable favorite, but given the status of the tournament and the general relaxation of the Real players (no matter how much they motivate themselves, they understand that this will be an easy game for them and this has an impact), the bookmakers give such quotes for the final:

1.30 - 6.45 - 12.00

So 1.30 looks like an easy bet.
5155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 10, 2023, 06:11:13 PM
I can't be sure of Tottenham to win against Leicester but I will still risk it and bet on them. First of all, their odd for the win is pretty attracting, 2.10.

However Leicester can be a really unpredictable team as well. For example after a bad run they got a win again previously. And it was a really solid win against a tough opponent in an away game. This means they will have a quite improved level of morale against Tottenham. Leicester are still unable to solve their defensive issues though which can be a chance for Tottenham to benefit from. Especially Kane will be their biggest card in this game as usual.

Leicester have 12 defeats and are one of the worst teams on this indicator. This is probably a good bet and the bookmakers give such generous odds due to the fact that Tottenham are playing away. On paper, Tottenham should definitely win this game, otherwise their gap from the top 4 could become critical.

5157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 10, 2023, 12:09:08 AM
League 1 as a business is much worse than the Premier League and no sheikhs and artificial infusions of money can change this. As far as I heard, tickets for League 1 games are several times cheaper than for Premier League games, and everyone knows that TV rights to show EPL games bring record amounts. League 1 needs to develop as a business, then over time they will be able to reach the level of the EPL, all other artificial methods are nonsense.

Yes that is what I meant. Ligue 1 as a commercial product will probably never even get close to what the EPL is today. I can't really recall what the EPL was like decades ago, but if my feeling is right here I think the EPL has always been on top of things along with the Primera Division? Is that about right?

The EPL has so many top clubs with a long established history. Well, it might not be impossible to turn a club like Olympique Marseille into a huge club with sheikh money. There is a little number of clubs with a long and well known history as well in Ligue 1 if I am not mistaken, but still the effort to elevate Ligue 1 to EPL levels is just outrageous I would imagine.

For now they can be happy to have at least PSG in order to be perceived on international stages as well. But that might be over against Bayern Munich already. Looking forward to those games as well!

I remember when Serie A was top 1, hehe. But the Premier League has always been >> than Ligue 1. In fact, Ligue 1 is closer to the weaker championships than to the big four (although this is subjective and I may be wrong).

In any case, reform processes are underway and we will see the struggle between two projects - the Super League and the Super League from UEFA (the new format of the Champions League). Whoever wins, everything is going to be something like a single European league and no doubt several teams from France will get there. Perhaps this will smooth out the differences between countries (although it is likely that smaller clubs will suffer).
5158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 10, 2023, 12:00:37 AM
It will be a very interesting game. At least on the basis of how their first meeting ended. If you remember Dortmund led 2-0 until the 89th minute and then lost the game 3-2 in 5 minutes  Grin
I remember this result very well because Dortmund ruined my multibet at the moment when I already saw that the game was almost over and calculated my profit, and then I saw that my multibet was destroyed. It was damn unexpected.

Yeah I remember that nightmarish game between these teams. I lost my bet on Dortmund win because of that.  Cry

But this kind of incidents aren't seen very often at the same time. Dortmund must be more careful than before. Actually I can't say they are good at defending but at least they are able to cover it with solid scoring skills. They owe their recent form to their attacking strength. Werder Bremen are much worse at defending compared to them. Therefore my choices are both teams to score and Dortmund win. I hope this time I won't lose.  Grin

Not sure about this. Such games are rare, but Dortmund also lose in less nightmarish style. Just look at their statistics - only one draw and 6 defeats (the worst result among the first 6 teams). Now they are on the rise but Dortmund is the kind of team that can absolutely illogically lose any game and in this case the opponent is quite serious.
5159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 09, 2023, 11:51:24 PM
This does not work even in normal markets: no one will allow you to dump or profit from a monopoly position in a normal market. All players that harm the market itself are removed/penalized so that the market remains a market. Clubs that spend more than they earn harm not only themselves (no one cares about the owners and how they want to burn their money) but all other clubs - this is the main problem that needs to be solved.
Right. Although, at the moment it just doesn't get enforced enough. Unfortunately, I see it being enforced a lot less in the coming years, since we seem to be having more rich owners buy into the Premier League. I know we've had Man City, Liverpool, and United for a while now with decent sets of money. However, Liverpool never really competed with City or United in terms of finances. Now, we've got Newcastle who's basically got enough money to take the league by storm, and the only real limit for them, and City is the regulations, and they've been known to skirt around them too.

I don't like how football is changing, it used to be about the football, and the grass roots of it. So, basically any team could progress, and we have magic like Leicester winning the league for example. However, that's not going to be the case the more rich owners that come in, and spend a ton of money, which is what we're seeing in the last couple of years. I mean, Liverpool was up for sale for around 3-4 billion pounds. That's crazy, and who's going to be able to afford that or justify that, other than stinking rich, country sized companies or even countries themselves.

Football is changing, that's a fact. And in the coming years, it will change radically because the old model just goes bankrupt/went bankrupt. Today there was new news about the launch of the Super League in a new format (which is vaguely similar to the new format of the Champions League). Asensio is a good player but Real Madrid is a special club and as we have seen just being good (and sometimes even super good) is not enough to be a first team player here. If the club and the player have such a big disagreement about the salary (almost 20%), then they may part ways. I don't think Asensio is in a strong negotiating position, as in the summer transfer window Real Madrid will most likely be looking for one super forward (Mbappe) to pair with Benzema (or immediately replace him) and a second one for the future (when Benzema completely leaves).
The team is build up with fantastic players who have the top experience needed to lift trophies for the club. They're among the best team in the world and almost a dream club for every player. The board is a good one with planning on signing new potential players to the club. Marcos Asensio is a top talent player in real madrid and every European team would want the Spaniard player in their team. The Los blancos want him to stay in the club to further his football career but they're not planning to meet up the bids placed on the table.

Let's say Real Madrid get Mbappe + Kane or Haaland + Bellingham (or any other combination of these or other players) in the summer. It seems incredible but why not - for each of these players there are arguments in favor of changing clubs. So if Real Madrid gets such a pair, then, taking into account Benzema, who is still playing, how many minutes will Assensio play for the entire season? I think that the team will simply not need him, and even if the contract with him is extended, he will go on loan.
