FFS guys ...!!

I take the dogs out for a walk, do a bit of shopping come back and Iīve lost 99% value on this coin in less than 4 hours ..!!!

 Huh

thats about normal at bittrex haha
learn the hard way to stay far away from bittrex! or any other exchange that lists coins right away

That doesnt really help though unless everyone boycotts bittrexx, if you own any of these coins and they are sitting in your wallet you are still fked

the main thing is to stay away from these new coins I guess
5142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][USB] USBCoin - POS. Listed on Bittrex. No IPO, No Premine, No instamine on: July 28, 2014, 04:24:20 PM
wow I didnt even know the coin was allready on Shittrexxx

I had 2500 coins from 2 days of mining o well lost about $15 in electriity costs plus the $15 -20 per day I could have got from mining a real coin.

These past few months have been a never ending lesson i just dont want to learn.  Its our fualt really as a community :
VVIendi - scam
Elite - scam
Conceal -scam

more than i can even name here its like two or three every week.  Bittrexx has to be either complicit or incompetent maybe both how the I don't care about them listing the coins fast , but how the hell would you write code that allows someone to withdraw over $120k of coins from your exchange after a coin has been listed less than 24 hours ago?

You really cant make up some of these scams , one thing i wonder about is where was this nija code ?

We need to have a body out there that vetting these new projects and fully inspects the code but as a developer myself there are tons of places you could put malicious code in a large program like the bit coin core so not sure how much that would work.  Think the Dev could have written the code in with a time delay of 2-3 weeks and done the same thing just at a later date, or hidden it in a new wallet update.  - get my drift ? there is no real protection from these type of scams

apart from having the developers post their real personal and financial info so we know who the F they really are this anon Dev thing is just not working.

Personally If i miss the boat on these new coins I guess I miss the boat gonna stick to mining well established coins that have been active for at least 3-6 months now I'm just done.

5143  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 28, 2014, 03:50:34 PM
Obviously overdelivering is always better, and yes, their previous estimations of "6TH per sp30" are now going to be very costly for them.

On the other hand, spondoolies raked the cash in for 6TH miners, and are now going to find a way to make every customer whole.

While overpromising could be considered a rookie mistake, keep in mind that even bitmain overpromised on their S3 by about 10%, offering refunds in that amount.

They didnīt have a worse efficiency though and atleast my S3 (which I bought just for fun) actually does 500GH after some tweaking.

The tests from spondoolies, including stress tests under high temperatures, should give everyone a solid number as to what they can expect from their sp30s.

I am still a little unsure as to how they can be certain that the chip isnīt as good as it should be (and not some other component is at fault) without specific chip testing, but they probably found a way to eliminate certain possibilities.

However, I doubt the foundry is at fault, as spondoolies would then be able to hopefully get some compensation.
I also donīt know how they have ruled out bad /non-optimal chip packaging as a source of lower efficiency.
(I know that certain materials used to connect the inner connections with the pins at the outside of the package can be problematic and create a  slightly lower efficiency).

This is all pure speculation and once spondoolies has solid numbers and a compensation plan for customers, I am sure we are going to learn more about the specific nature of the problem(s).
That is if this doesnīt give away any of spondoolies IP.

I sure hope you are wrong that its not an issue from the foundry speculation or not

i accept your "sorry " dude  :-) in the future i will use chickenstripe too from now

you should. i'm pretty happy with my 10k prismacoins. go chicken go!

Than if you mined 10k prismacoins, start to Promote our coin, change you signature, tell your friends, join and STAY on our IRC channel, retweet etc Smiley

how much hash did you rent
5147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRISMA][x13] @PrismaCoin - LAUNCH TODAY 2014.07.27 20:00 on: July 27, 2014, 06:08:08 PM

WHEEE

int64 GetProofOfWorkReward(int nHeight, int64 nFees, uint256 prevHash)
{
    int64_t nSubsidy = 1 * COIN;

    if(nHeight == 1)
        nSubsidy = 90000 * COIN;
    else if(nHeight > 1 && nHeight <= 100)
   nSubsidy = 1 * COIN;
    else if(nHeight > 100 && nHeight <= 6011)
   nSubsidy = 1000 * COIN;

    return nSubsidy + nFees;
}

Premine is right, dont know if there is some hidden elsewhere.

he looked at the source code and the premine is actually 1.5% of the 6 million coins not what the 1% the DEV mentioned in his post
so it looks like he lied , what else could he be lying about I think is what hes saying
So,,,,
what does it mean ?

Its been two days kinda getting worried P Huh

Thank you for your patience as we gather further information and formulate a plan of action.

yeah I know you keep telling me and you are right but I was so excited , i currently only have a  small 18 GPU farm I've stayed away from all the bit coin            preorders and such , but After their success with the SP10 I finally succumbed and pre ordered for Aug and Sept.  Even if it hashes at 5.4 TH or even 5 i will be happy to be in the BTC mining game .. thus my irrational impatience
how can a GPU farm still be profitable?  turn that shiz off man...

Its not profitable I just Speculate on coins here an there probbaly make just enough to pay my electricity and in the winter it cools my house.

Couple days (From YOUR quote) is not within 2 weeks...  Think before you speak please...  I don't doubt they will be here before the 9th, but AFTER the news today you made that post.  Bitcoinarama says what?

No need to quote my full post.

Ok a maximum of 2 weeks seems reasonable considering the latest news and it's still on time for their August batch so I'm happy!

Just saying i expect delivery as well but I will say this if SP fails  preorders will be officially dead i.e it will be darn near impossible to get pre-orders out of
this community every again or at least in the near term 2-3 years imo.  Which I supposed could be a good thing for our sanity long term.
5158  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 23, 2014, 08:39:53 PM
I prepared myself that there may be some problems with the asics, especially after recent silence and lack of updates.

RockerBox ASICs failed to fulfil the expectations/specifications, so they mentioned compensation.
I am happy to receive extra SP10 to make up/fill up lost hashing power in SP30.
It all depends how much less than 6TH/s hashing power each SP30 is going to have.

+1
5159  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 23, 2014, 06:02:05 PM
Ouch.

This is exactly why selling pre-order products with specs based on simulation results is a terrible idea.

Real world performance almost always falls below the simulation results for one reason or another.

Until the hardware is actually built and you have real world results, you don't know what you don't know.

Thats a cop out though

I dont know im a software developer by trade and for high end services/apps we build we always assume capacity will be 30%
higher than we expect i.e we factor in the overhead into our code and infrastructure so when we actually DO go live we are ready for either higher usage or
technical issues that crop up unexpectedly like bandwidth hardware issuess etc.

bad analogy but you get my drift , as an Engineer you should over spec your designs as much as you in order the deal with issues like this that crop up in real world applications not to beat a dead horse but I don't think that's the issue here I think the issue is more likely the Asics were not properly fabbed or an error was introduced at the foundry level.   Just my wild uneducated guess though.
