In theory the trust system is unmoderated and people should do whatever they want to with it.  That is, they should use it as they see fit.  The only issue comes in because of "default trust" the fact that if you do nothing, you see the results of default trust as if they were meaningful.  This can lead to abuse by folks on "default trust".  If it were me, I'd simply remove "default trust" and have everyone start off with an empty trust network until they actually meet someone they actually trust.  This would remove the perception of abuse by those on default, I think.

It would be a complex-trust-system for newbies. Now DefaultTrust list is good enough. If you find a mole, report it. He/she will eventually removed from it if the claim is true.

One question, do you use internet after generating an address?

Highest 10 no. of posters.

I edited the post thinking you would see it when you reply to/look further posts but I was wrong. Can you please answer this too? Thanks!

Users with negative trust may not join this signature campaign sorry.

What about people who got -ve trust for least thing(no particular reason)? Eg: BiPolarBob's negative trust.

Most desktop HDD are not very reliable. They may fail after sometime of heavy usage which is what renting storage to others can cause to your harddisk. SSD is not a very good option since they have limited read and writes.

I heard Storj allows you to limit both bandwidth and storage. So it would be good.

Both the above posts are correct. I use Blockchain.info sometimes but I don't hate downtime, I hate fake blocks and transaction errors, i.e., orphaned blocks getting added, confirmed transaction not getting confirmations, non-confirmed transactions getting conformations etc...

Did you try reporting it?
You seem to be the one with a pay/post signature campaign, boosting your post count.  Smiley

It was no offence, I was trying to help you. Smiley

CEX.IO

Why i dont have workers ? It says in FAQ workers are added there , but i have no workers, why?

Follow:

  • Sign in to Cex.io.
  • Go to Ghash.io.
  • Create a worker - merge mining recommended.
  • Point your miner to that username.

Hope it works! Smiley

Hey guys, maybe I've find a "little bug" here in the forum. When I quote a post the link for the download of the latest bitcoin core appears in this way :

Can theymos "fix" it ?  Thanks for the attention.

I don't know if it's really a bug because if you check a hyperlink when you go to the reply page, it will be Name (link).

5155  Other / Meta / Re: Trust Ratings in the Newbie Section on: February 17, 2015, 11:45:41 AM
There is no real need to have the trust ratings displayed in the bitcoin discussion and similar sections because no commerce takes place there. Since you do not conduct business there there is no reason to need to know that someone is a scammer and pointing out that fact will only lead to distractions to conversations.

@Muhammed Zakir I'm not against having it always visible, but I don't know if it is very important on all boards lol.
How is trust important on off topic or politics and society for example?

Negative trust feedback aren't left only for scamming. Example : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=159191. This negative trust will be useful in Bitcoin Discussion.

5157  Other / Meta / Re: [WTF] mprep.... worst moderator on: February 17, 2015, 11:41:48 AM
mprep moved a few of my topics and deleted some posts I was not so happy about but wasn't really anything I could consider unwarranted. The some 60 posts he deleted in the PayCon thread was no so cool because we lost a lot of stuff that although was a lot of Spam and nonsense, could have been refined into real stuff later on.

Atlast, somewhat right answer! @mprep : You are doing a great job!

5158  Other / Meta / Re: Ponzi "Game" == Negative Trust? on: February 17, 2015, 11:39:49 AM
This is abuse of the trust system and will get you removed from default trust.

Grand_Voyageur is neither in the Default Trust nor in the users'(who are in DFT) trust list.

It is also slander to claim ponzis are scams and you will be sued for saying that.

resn0w is right! Ponzis always collapses sooner or later. One of the famous in Bitcoin is PBMining, maybe GAW too. Can you show me one BIG ponzi which hasn't collapsed?

I don't think leave a negative feedback to a scammer is "abuse of the trust system". Maybe it is the contrary , you are helping the community if you leave a negative trust.

Please ban user minerpool-de. If you check his latest posts. All of them are referral spams and is off-topic. I think that account was sold, he/she is acting like a newbie.
