Let me see if I can get this straight. You borrowed money from various lenders on here in order to repay debt you owed to the body shop in order to repair your car, now that due to an unfortunate set of circumstances you are unable to repay your lenders on here so you are taking on additional debt to to repay them. I hate to be the bearer of bad news however there is a time when you need to acknowledge that you aren't able to payoff your debts  and act accordingly. I very rarely tell people that it is in any way a good idea to not pay what they owe

If you do end up using this funds to pay a portion of ducktail's loan to you then I would suggest negotiating with him. First and foremost I would make the payment on the condition that he waives the late fees, and after he agrees to that I would try to get credit for more then what you are giving him, e.g. you give him .5 BTC but your debt is reduced by something more then that.

Agreed marcotheminer...didn't want to have to collect any late fees...the intent of the draconian daily late fee was to dissuade any late payment and provide a definitive repayment end-date for this longer-term loan.  But given arklan's situation, it is unreasonable to enforce such a penalty.  These loans are meant to be a service, not a burden.  As such, we are working on a solution...stay tuned...

Terms of this loan have been renegotiated.  arklan has made a payment of 0.5BTC.  The remaining amount due is now locked in at 1BTC, due April 15, 2015.  This means total repaid will be 1.5BTC, rather than the original 1.2BTC.  Late fee provision is waived for two additional months until April 15, 2015, to give time to get affairs in order.  If arklan is not able to repay the remaining 1BTC balance due by that date, a new late fee of 0.1BTC per week with be enforced (rather than per day).  Again, this is to ensure the loan is paid off at some definitive point.  Updated loan terms:

quite right. my first paycheck (for this weeks partial week) will come in a week from friday. probably won't be particularly large, but i should be able to get SOMETHING into btc and to you guys.
