5141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2016, 04:24:37 PM
Pokemon go users drastically went down. This only means that people are too busy and always on the go. They joined pokemon go because of the hype yet only those who were an avid fan remains. So if we are going to apply this one for sure users will fade in a small period of time.

Yeah, the game doesn't have much substance after you play it for awhile. Unless they add new features, I think it gets too repetitive and boring.

I can't seem them ever implementing bitcoin into the game, they are in it for themselves and the in-app purchase not to allow users to make money with the app Tongue
At least it brings something fresh to the gaming world by making people go out of their caves and explore the world. There should be more games like that.
Sure, there are some problems to consider like people walking like zombies in front of the cars or jumping fences and trespassing to reach their destination. Everything has its pros and cons.

In the first post there is an information stating "Full Member-2" Is this up to date? Are there 2 slots open? If yes, then I'd be happy to apply. Thanks.
5143  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many times have you've been scammed? on: December 06, 2016, 09:55:49 PM
Never, but that may be due to the fact that I'm almost never trading with unknown people. I'm usually very suspicious of people who offer me money or want money from me. I never keep my coins in an exchange, I have backups of my wallets and I'm never emotional when it comes to business.
Be careful when dealing with people, money corrupt. Wink
5144  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: December 06, 2016, 09:14:23 PM
Why would you hate fiat?In fact, bitcoin has no value withouth fiat. One question is, would you prefer to recieve bitcoin eventhough bitcoin has no prize or value in fiat? I think you did not understand it well. Fiat is highly important because in the first place we use fiat since our childhood.  Our gandparents use it in order for us to live. New technologies emerges but still, fiat is the most or common way to buy something eventhough you are the richiest man or people in thr planet.

What makes you think that Bitcoin has no value without fiat?

And which fiat exactly? There are around 200 countries on the planet, and almost all of them have some kind of fiat currency. Would Bitcoin have no value if there were no more dollars around? If so, what about the Chinese exchanges where Bitcoin is traded  in huge amounts exclusively for the Chinese Yuan? Should we say then that the latter has no value without the US dollar either? If we can't say that, how can we at the same time claim that Bitcoin depends on whatever fiat?

You're right. The deaths of one or a number of fiat currencies would only boost the value of Bitcoin. Fiat economy is all connected and when a reserve currency loses value it crashes the other markets. Bitcoin is independent and turmoils in fiat markets only affect it short-term.

5146  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-11-30] Indonesian Investigator Claims Bitcoin is Funding ISIS Operations on: December 05, 2016, 06:23:48 PM
The topic is misleading. Bitcoin is not funding anything. Bitcoin is just a form of payment it cannot fund or finance anything. What if a terrorist group decided to wire some money through PayPal? Would that mean PayPal  is funding terrorism?
Now, the more interesting part is that Dollar is used to buy weapons every day and is still the main currency used in weapon and drug transactions.

5147  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: starting 2017 how can i get 1-2 BTC A Month ( Cloud mining ) on: December 05, 2016, 06:11:10 PM
I agree with the above opinions. Forget about profiting from cloud mining. The whole Idea sounds good for a beginner, but in fact is a smart scheme aimed to make you loan money to the service providers.
You will be paid back or you won't, depending on whether the operator decides to continue the operation or just close it and run.
5148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: December 05, 2016, 06:05:56 PM
Depends how poor. If so poor they cannot afford a phone then no. If one person fpr every few has a phone they can share then maybe bitcoin can help them.
Bitcoin is definitely not created for the poor ones, the fact that it's online and most of the poor people are computer illiterate so that would make them hard to adopt with bitcoin. It's a currency and the only benefit they might enjoy is the low transaction fees, however for now bitcoin is not so popular as an alternative remittance to help the poor.
Bitcoin doesn't have to be used by those illiterate poor people directly. If you spend your coins on building a hospital or a school we could say that bitcoin has helped the poor, right?
If smart bitcoiners start getting involved in charity, but not by giving them coins directly, but organizing courses to teach them hygiene and other useful things it will change their lives.
5149  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-12-04]The chief of Chinese exchange BTCC expects Bitcoin for $ 1,500 on: December 05, 2016, 06:01:24 PM
He's been enthusiastic from the start, but it doesn't say he has to be wrong. In 2013 Bitcoin jumped from $500 to $1000 in less than a week. We are getting close to $800 now, which means $1600 could easily happen next year. Some people think it's overpriced right now though and market attitude likes to change.
Come on Bobby, be right this time!
5150  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Woman of the Future White House on: December 05, 2016, 05:43:24 PM
Remember, American people decide about their president, not about the wifes or husbands of them. Trumps wife is from a different country than he is, so is reasonable she not knows the language so well. Also, we know Michele because she is the first lady for 8 years, before that she was just Obamas wife.

What matters most is the president himself an not his wife. Well the president can divorce his wife any moment he likes. The people voted for Trump as the president and there are no election for the first lady if there are I should have voted already haha. ...

Between the choices of Melania and Bill I know who I pick.

lol...

Poor Bill, I bet he was dreaming about waking up in the White House again and now it's slowly coming to him that it won't happen, at least not in this life. His wife is too old and tired to go through elections again. Life is tough Bill.
As for Melania, she's far too fake for my taste. Those fake tits, lips and smile... No thank you.

Flat fee of $10 is OK.
Shocked
At my place the flat fee is 3$ and margin equals 2% of transaction, at current bitcoin price it will be 17$ however anonymous payout (with smartphone) will only be 7$ of additional fee so 10bucks in total. (limits apply)
Stuff you are saying seam like nightmare...
Boycott the shit out of that service Smiley I don't know, maybe tip the IRS Cheesy or NSA whatever. Edit: I know, call a Pope they are quite creative when handling money  Roll Eyes
That kind of practice only harms altcoin world, prevents adoption...
They want to get back the money they've spent on the machine fast and ATMs are quite expensive and the market unstable, so I completely understand them.
Haha no, just joking, they're just greedy. Grin
Well, are they sooo expensive? 11K$ when you want to buy just one single machine, in bulk... who knows but I bet its ~5K if not less when assembled in CPR.

They can be as expensive as $14k. Check this manufacturer for instance https://coinatmradar.com/manufacturer/3/genesis-coin-bitcoin-atm-producer/
Of course you can get them cheaper. Lamassu for instance sells one for less than $2k.
5152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi reveals himself, what would be of Bitcoin? on: December 05, 2016, 04:57:20 PM
I personally don't feel that Satoshi is a single person .. ; Might be a team of genius Smiley

I also thought that Nakamoto is a group or a company. But even if they reveal themselves or himself what will be the basis or how can he prove that he is nakamoto. With so many developers copying bitcoin there are many people who can claim that they are nakamoto. But even though nakamoto reveal himself bitcoin will still bitcoin, nakamoto doesnt need to reveal himself his contributions by making bitcoin is enough.

Bitcoin will still bitcoin, I love it!  Grin
5153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Developer of bitcoins core have planing hard fork, do you agree? on: December 05, 2016, 04:49:37 PM
I don't agree, a fork will most likely crash the markets, but if there's no other way... better now than later.
5154  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you eat a human? on: December 05, 2016, 04:29:06 PM
Before ask this question you should ask: "How deep you know your dark soul..?"  Cry
 Wink

no, it's the "how strong your primal will to survive is". It's different to kill a man and eat him just because, from eating a dead man to survive.

As I understand the question was "would you eat a human", dont "would you kill a human to eat his meat"
If we imaging the situation like this: people at open sea and someone died (natural death not killing). And there is no any food exept the leather boots and maybe these people at the boats ask themselves "Would we eat a human that already died?" Its a survive to eat a human at this situation
and Who knows how each of us can do at same situation because now our  life are in safety

Yes, but he disnt specify in what situation. Killing a human to eat him is wrong, yes, but eating a human to survive doesn't have to be.

Well i think both of it is wrong. Killing people is litteraly wrong and eating people is also wrong because sort of you are just eating also your body but from the other person because you know it is the same. It is really disgusting about it. Eating people? Yucks! But there are people want to eat human though!
It is wrong but we do wrong things to survive. If I were in an accident and the only way to survive would be to eat a dead corpse I'd do it. I refuse to sit and wait for death and I'm sure many people would act in a similar way. After all meat is just meat. We eat cute fluffy rabbits and we eat dirty pigs that smell like shit and all of them taste good.

Would like to gmaxwell's statement regarding this incident...

He is a vulgar fucking control freak and needed to be banned.  I hope it is forever.
Being a vulgar control freak should not prohibit him from using the forums. Should we ban all the vulgar users from Bitcointalk?

So how old is the "older generation"? I'm 74, and I've just hit middle age, when do I join this older generation? Smiley
My father is over 80 and I've given up on trying to teach him how to operate Windows. Bitcoin is completely beyond his cognitive abilities.
Glad to see there are mentally young old timers with us, keep it up mate!
5159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain is dead, longlive Bitcoin on: December 05, 2016, 03:31:28 PM
bitcoin and blockchain are not two different or separable things. they work together and stay alive together. so as long as bitcoin is alive blockchain is also alive. and all those people who want to separate bitcoin and blockchain are only trying to make an altcoin and we have already got enough of those going around that we don't need a bank controlled altcoin.
True, but it's possible for each of them to exist separately, and I think a blockchain without Bitcoin is a more probable outcome. A modified blockchain can be used in banking, voting and many other things, while Bitcoin is a hit or miss. It either becomes a widely accepted form of payment and/or a store of value or it slowly dies and becomes overtaken by other, more secure and anonymous currency.
5160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India Bans Its Largest Fiat Currency Notes on: December 05, 2016, 03:22:44 PM
How can someone think this would stop the counterfeits? Even teenagers know that if you want to make a fake bill it's best to make the smallest ones, because of two factors:
1. They have the least security features
2. Nobody bothers to check them
