5142  Economy / Scam Accusations / The Glam Life Settlement, Exposing Betcoin.ag and Betsoft on: November 01, 2016, 05:30:31 PM
I won't be discussing how I got this, but I think it's important to be made public.

Jasons personal information has been removed, nothing else has been edited.

SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT

Jason
July 6, 2016
Jason Statement
I hereby confirm that I have effectively cooperated and reached an agreement with Betcoin.ag and Betsoft in relation to a dispute over a jackpot payout.  I now fully accept that, as per the site’s game rules, the Jackpot cannot be won during bonus and/or free spin features and in such cases, standard pay lines apply.

The game in question, The Glam Life, had the following graphics and text on the pay table page one:

‘5 yacht icons on Max Bet wins Jackpot’

‘5 yacht icon on active payline wins 1000’

There was a misunderstanding on my part with how this rule applies with free spins; I understand now that free spin cannot be max bet since there is no bet placed.  The game software provider, Betsoft, has now updated the pay table to clarify as such:

“Jackpot cannot be won during any bonus feature”

Betcoin.ag has acknowledged the lack of clarification from their customer support.  Betsoft has acknowledged that the game pay table may have caused misunderstanding with respect to jackpot eligibility on free spins.  Both parties have now made necessary adjustments.

I agree to waive and release any claims I may have against both Betcoin.ag and Betsoft in regards to this matter. This includes any claims that may not be known as of the date of this agreement.

A confidential settlement has been reached to my satisfaction and I will receive this directly from Betcoin.ag. I understand that if I make any future contradiction of this statement via publishing or broadcasting in any internet website, newspaper or magazine, public computer network, sound or television broadcast, cable or satellite programme, or any other medium now known or invented after this agreement, I will be in breach of this agreement and subject to legal claims for the return of the settlement given to me by betcoin.ag.

Within 24 hours of receiving this confidential settlement, I will state the following to Casino Listings in a forum posting at:

 https://www.casinolistings.com/news/2016/06/warning-avoid-all-betsoft-slots-and-casino-games and at http://www.latestcasinobonuses.com/article/warning-betsoft-progressives-problem

“, I am pleased to say that this matter has been resolved to my satisfaction by all parties involved. Responsibility has been taken by Betcoin.ag for lack of clarification from their customer support, Betsoft has acknowledged that the wording on the pay table may have been cause for misunderstanding with respect to jackpot eligibility. Both parties have been very helpful and cooperative in resolving this and made the necessary adjustments. ”

I will also send the same message to Duncan Gearvie at webmaster@thepogg.com confirming resolution of this case. I agree to send this message within 24 hours of receiving the  confidential settlement.
In addition, I agree that I may be called upon at any time in the future to make a statement provided by Betcoin.ag on any forum, as requested, in relation to this case.

I further agree to refrain from making any more negative statements about BetCoin.ag and Betsoft in regards to the matter involving this settlement, or I will be in breach of this agreement.
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement and understanding of the Parties relating to the subject matter contained herein and it is not subject to any condition not provided for herein.  This Agreement supersedes any and all prior Agreements, arrangements or understandings between the Parties.  No oral understandings, statement, promises, or inducements contrary to the terms of this Agreement exist.  This Agreement may not be altered, amended, or modified in any respect or particular whatsoever except by writing duly executed by all the Parties hereto.
This Agreement and it’s terms shall remain confidential among all Parties.
This matter is now accordingly closed upon receipt of the mutually agreed settlement from Betcoin.ag . Adequate consideration has been agreed to.

Kind Regards,

……………………………
Jason

This contradicts several statements made by Betcoin.ag shortly after the settlement was made.

Specifically this part:

July 12th Link
Quote from: Betcoin.ag
Lutpin, the agreement is with the player and the software provider.  This was never a dispute with Betcoin and our player.  It was a dispute with our player and the software provider.    As far as we are concerned, he can share any specifics that he wants and we never even asked him to sign an agreement with us.  We never needed an agreement, a settlement or for him to shut up and encouraged him not to shut up and spoke to him nearly everyday about the matter.  This was a dispute with the software provider.  We actually want him to speak more about it and say whatever he wants.

Shortly after the settlement, Betcoins responsed to questions about whether or not Jason was treated fairly by telling players to ask Jason themself.

Example:

All things considered, it's pretty obvious that at least some of Betsofts progressive jackpots are a scam.

Casinolistings has proven that Goodgirl Badgirl progressives were being manipulated at Bodog.  Shortly after, Bovada/Slots.lv dropped all Betsoft games.

Out of all Betsoft games, Glam Life offers the largest progressive jackpots and it's not even close.  Considering their size, the way they first reacted (claiming it didn't count because he didn't bet the max denomination when, in fact, every denomination has it's own independent jackpot) and that fact that there is no record of anyone hitting a Glam Life jackpot (and getting paid) since it was launched in 2009, only a fool could think there's even a possibility that Betsoft should be trusted.

(Note: Data is from Mid October)

If you are a player at any casino that continues to offer Betsoft games, ask them why.  Tell them to stop.  If they don't, stop playing there.

If they say they will look into it, ask them how long that will take and follow up.

It's up to the players to stop this kind of thing from happening.

Look at the promises Betcoin made last July.  Since then they have added a Betsoft promotion video to their landing page and added multiple Betsoft games to their casino, including one with progressive jackpots.

Last July:
Quote from: Betcoin.ag
we continue to study this in great detail and have asked for an independent auditing of the games.  We are certainly assessing the situation in full and further detail and will do what is right.

There has been no audit.  No statement from Betsoft.  Nothing.  They think they can get away with it and the players will just forget.

They recently deleted this post from their self moderated thread:

I don't think fortunejack is rigged. I think they offer a fair game and the dice jackpot is a oversight they should have fixed and offered compensation to affected players.
Normally twitchyseal is on the ball and I appreciate his post and research, but this posting is seems to be incorrect and needs to be verified before claims are made.
The luckyjack offers 10 prizes per day, FJ have at anytime 150-300 players(guess from observations) So they would have thousands of players claim the promotion per day, Gamblers just don't comprehend statistics very well and I would believe these claims the promo is rigged a side effect of not handling a previous promotion correctly.
I played at FJ yesterday, lost a bitcoin and would recommend my friends to play there. They just need to handle their errors better, The jackpot issue is one that needs to be addressed and maybe change the luckyjack promo to something that people can "see and feel"

Like I said, they were sent to me by someone else.  I think they are just very non confrontational, I would honestly be shocked if they were fake.  It's a free contest and there are worse things to worry about so take it for what it's worth I guess.

All I did was pick out the most obvious and add the arrows.

The fact they deleted them from the thread after I posted links to all 11 as they were sent to me should tell you something if my word isn't good enough.

5145  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitstarz Removes 3.45 Btc Balance According to Breaking Bonus Terms on: October 31, 2016, 03:07:35 PM
Hi all,

Very valid point earlier that I'd like to mention again. The max bonus only applied
to BONUSES. If you play with cash money, you can play however you like and withdraw
anytime you like. Accepting bonuses is not mandatory, it's voluntarily.

Mike

And automatic.

Hi there,

You only get bonuses if you set your account to receive bonuses and tick the tick-box
on the deposit page that states that you wish to receive bonuses. On top of that, if you
made a deposit of 50 mBTC and without making any bet, you have 100 mBTC in your balance, I'd personally
would start to ask question as to how I doubled my money without placing a bet. Especially
since the bonuses are also displayed on the deposit page with the terms and conditions.

Furthermore, the player has the opportunity to forfeit the bonus without consequence prior
to starting to place any game rounds and also have the opportunity to forfeit their bonus and
winnings from bonus and withdraw their cash at a later stage.

Mike

Mike,

A player that goes to bitstarz.com, clicks on terms and conditions, reads all 5,290 words before checking the box to agree.

They will not be aware of your max bet rule and they will automatically be given a bonus with their deposit.

unless

They decline the bonus by checking this box:

or

they find their way to part 3, section 12 of the separate bonus terms (over 2,000 words total)

Worst case scenario for them, imo, is they actually win a little bit and you decide to let them slide.

They make several more deposits, violating the rule each time before finally having a big win.

Then they find out.

5146  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Coin Sites - Nov Launch!? on: October 31, 2016, 01:27:25 PM
http://www.casinocoinsites.com/

The site has been updated recently and is showing a November launch date.

Created/supported in conjunction with Prypto and Dream Work I suspect that this site could have a huge involvement in the cryptocurrency gambling arena very very soon.

Has anyone else been following this site or have any insight into what the future holds for it?

It looks like an affiliate site.

Just what we need...
5147  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTSBET.IO - Place where you can bet with bitcoins on: October 31, 2016, 03:10:39 AM
Just checked. working or am I missing something?

Also, the website is frozen with lines from 8 hours ago.

Notre Dame/Miami is posted on the Live Betting page, with a line of -222 for Notre Dame. That game ended over 6 hours ago.

Just think about how careless you have to be to let that sit there like that. It's obvious anyone at that book is sleeping or drinking. Because why not? If they cost anyone any money, they'll keep it.

I see. Thank you for explaining Cheesy

Back to this.

Did you get the Bet is confirmed message? Green box on bottom right thingy.

Did the bet show on the Active Bets page?

From https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1458034.msg16607757#msg16607757 ,
Bet:
Over 34.5 live on Clemson/NC State.

Bet amount: ?

Odds: ?
Potential payout: (Bet + Profit): ?  5+BTC?

Compensation: 1BTC

I don't know why you say no one is interested, you or sportsbet.io didn't respond to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1458034.msg16695162#msg16695162

Original bet was 3400 mBTC at -154 odds I believe, would have paid mBTC of 5607.

Did you get the Bet is confirmed message?

So the amount you would have profited is 2.207BTC. You got compensated 1BTC.
Fair point.

Assuming they didn't take your 3400 mBTC, if you're 100% in the right, you have been shorted 1207 mBTC, not 5600

Not saying it justifies their actions, just trying to get as close to reality as possible.

-snip-
6) A legitimate company would never pay 30 BTC from their pocket to a foreign affiliate!  Roll Eyes

This calculation also confirms that the betcoin.ag scam pays the too good to be true promotions, 58-133% rakeback = 95,5% average + surprise boxes + affiliate commissions + signature campaigns + software provider fees + employees + infrastructure and whatever costs from the player deposits/not paid jackpot winnings/scams and this is called PONZI SCHEME!
Maybe, just maybe, but maybe (<- didn't mean to use it again, but felt weird without) their rigged (for the most part) casino games generate good profits, as well as their sportsbook (pretty high margins). I don't think it's fair to accuse them like that without thinking about their sports volume and casino volume - not everything is poker.

While I do think Betcoin is a scummy site, I think your being too focused on attacking them.

Xiaoxiao itself stated that his poker players paid 75 BTC rake in August, while the casino revenue was around 3 BTC. The 3 BTC casino revenue can even not cover the 6 BTC for their signature campaign here.

For the 75 BTC rake collected, they have to pay around 70 - 80% rakeback + 40% commission to Xiaoxiao = 110 - 120% = 7,5 - 15 BTC loss + too good to be true promotions loss + business expenses loss!

I assume this is GamesProtects way of pointing out Xiao is a liar.

To be clear, there's 0 chance Xiao's players pay a combined 75 btc in rake per month.

On average, they deal less than 200k hands a week.  Including all tournament, freerolls included and cash and unless somethings changed recently it's mostly micro stakes.  That's nothing.

He also claimed in the same post that the same players who were generating over 75 btc a month in rake generated less than 1 btc in casino, sports or dice revenue.

He was just trying to play the roll of a poker savior that gives everything he makes back to the players out of the goodness of his heart.

If Betcoin regulars weren't getting close to 100% rakeback, there wouldn't be any games.

I don't think it does anygood calling Betcoin a "scam", because there are reasonable arguments to be made that they are not.  I'm also don't think that they plan to run away with everyones money any time soon.

I think whoever funds them hired a couple incompetent, under-qualified scumbags to manage the site.  The owner is either not paying attention, doesn't care, or is dumb enough to be fooled by his employees into not realizing that Betcoin Andrew and Jessica are the reason they haven't increased their player base in two years+

Players get fucked out of money left and right, not bc Betcoin intended to, just because of their incompetence.

The players who don't complain (often because they don't even realize it) or don't complain enough, don't get compensated - despite Betcoin being fully aware that they are owed money.

Those who do complain, always get compensated.  And then some.

All their energy and resources goes into trying to cover up all their fuckups and then cover up their coverups.

@cjmoles:

I think you should ask Betcoin about their recent addition of new Betsoft games with new progressive jackpots.

Here are some things they said last summer, could you please remind them of this and see what happened?  If Betsoft didn't make any statement or conduct any third party audit, then why would they continue doing business with them?  Especially when there are so many other options?

I think they might not delete your post since you've only say ever said good things about them in the past.

5150  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♠BETCOIN.AG♠👺 OFFICIAL THREAD 👹 The Poker Sports Casino 🖕UNCENSORED🖕 on: October 29, 2016, 11:51:05 PM
I'm 90% sure that Nicesoft is a personal friend posing as just another player or alt account that belongs to Xiaoxiao.  No smoking gun proof, but I'd be surprised if I were wrong (although I wouldn't feel bad considering the shit he's made up about me and pretended like they were fact)

Edit: I wouldn't normally make an accusation like this without evidence to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.  But I'm making an exception here because they have each proven themselves to be total scum and It would just make perfect sense if the nicesoft account were created with the sole purpose of promoting Betcoin and more specifically Xiaoxiao as an affiliate if you look at the post history (including those posts complaining about late rake-back payments - and the swc affiliate link included in sig)

I just didn’t know about it myself, but that was my stupid mistake, not theirs. Why should they get blamed if I don’t read the rules? Anyways, like I said, that was nice of them.

Ok. So you unknowingly broke a rule that they've punished other people for doing so, but you fortunately got a free pass (probably because they calculated the life time value of having you as a customer is greater than the amount of your withdrawal). But I'm just going to project here a little, and I suspect if had been like one of the other guys who lost 3.45 (like the OP) and 20 (?) bitcoin due to the very same mistake you wouldn't be so happy.

Anyway, obviously they don't screw over /all/ their players, that just wouldn't make business sense. It's probably pretty safe to assume for every 1 customer they royally screw, there's another 10,000 they don't. But that doesn't make it ok. You don't get brownie points for doing the right thing.

--

(And for everyone, I apologize for keep beating this horse, as they've already said they're finally going to fix the problem, which is fantastic. I just find it mind blowing that anyone could defend what is obviously highly predatory behavior and selective enforcement)

LOL @ highly predatory behavior. The casino is giving the player bonus funds. They can set whatever terms they want on it. Its the player that chose to take the bonus and thereby responsible for knowing the rules of the bonus. If a player chooses he can simply NOT take a bonus and alleviate any problems when it comes time to cashout. Is that to hard to understand?

Yes, the casino can do whatever they want.  Nobody is denying that.

If they want to establish and enforce highly predatory terms, they can.

That's what Bitstarz is doing.

His last post was a couple hours before the cutoff time for their sig campaign end of stage.

He's made around 80 posts in the last 36 hours, guess he fell behind and wanted to make sure to get paid.

Could you please ask them what's up with these independent studies, statements and where this article is and why they are adding more Betsoft progressive Jackpots if nothing has been done?

they wont delete your post, i dont think

Nothing has been done about what?  It would help to know what needs to be done.  There hasn't been any conclusive evidence that there's a real problem with the provider....that's why somebody reputable needs to do an independent study.  It'd be interesting to analyze, for sure.  But, out of all the watchdogs, nobody's been able to provide anything that they are willing to stand behind and publish.  Not even casinolistings.com is confident enough in their own study to blacklist their affiliates....So far, nobody else has found their data credible enough to put forth their own effort to conduct an independent study.

Well, they said an article would be written soon to clarify the relationship between Casino and Software Provider.

They basically said betsoft needs to explain themselves after the jasonort thing.

Then  nothing happened.

Now its almost November and they are adding more Betsoft progressive jackpots to their site and ignoring any question about the Betsoft issue.

Maybe they won't ignore you.  Give it a shot, why not?

Some thoughts:

1) Most customers come thru bitcointalk.org

2) No one complain here that the monthly vip freerolls 25 BTC Master, 10 BTC Diamond, 5 BTC Ruby and 3 BTC Emerald are not running.

This at least strongly indicates that no one reach these vip levels and this strongly indicates that most customers are fun and losing players.

3) Players receive in average 100% rakeback = no revenue for betcoin.ag, but how do they generate money?

4) Considering that they have mostly fun and losing players and considering that there is no control whatsoever, I assume that they make their money with superuser accounts.

This would perfect explain their behaviour why they offer since 2 years! 100% rakeback and at the same time have a heer of dumb liars to draw dumb customers in!

5) 1 year ago they were running 10 btc freerolls every couple months.

6) 1 year ago they had no signature campaign

7) Now they pay over 6 btc per month to their sig campaign.

I'm sure Mike has the data but how many players are actually betting over $15USD a spin on the slots and are on a bonus to break the max bet rule?

I've been trtying to pry it out of him without success.

I want to know

-How many players have had cashouts affected.
-How much Bitstarz has profited.
-How often Bitstars "lets it slide"
-Ave size they "let slide" vs not slide
- In mikes honest opinion, if 100 people who had never gambled online before signed up and deposited at Bitstarz with instructions to be sure to read the terms, how many would place a bet over the maximum.
-In mikes honest opinion, is guy who had 20 BTC taken from him have any malicious intent or any intent whatsoever other than to deposit his money and gamble at their site. (was posting earlier in the thread)

They make the rules its up to the player to make sure they are following them and that usually involves the player getting deep into EVERY term and condition on the website they choose to play.
I agree with you - sort of.

In a tradition regulated model, there's a third party looking out for both the casino and the player (in exchange for a fat cut)

With the regulator out of the picture (no curacao doesn't count), the responsibility of the regulator is basically up for grabs.  Right now the casinos are just assuming the roll of regulator.  The players can either let the casino do what they want, or they can speak up - organize themselves somehow and demand to be treated fairly.  I think it's inevitable that's going to happen, just trying to get things moving along.  Were stil in the stone ages of unregulated crypto gambling imo.
