If they start paying for downloads I can tell him where to promote it. Hotfile started that way ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I just got my first issue! It's great! Did anybody else get theirs yet?
April Fools! You're lucky that April Fools day was delivered on time. If they followed Bitcoin Magazine's schedule you'd probably only have April Fools day by Sep. 15th...

OF pays me all the time. I'm one of OF's biggest publishers.
I'm not getting paid anymore because I sold the website almost 5 months ago and I'm still trying to find time to finish the replacement for it. (maybe if I didn't spend so much time goofing around at bitcointalk.org...)

Looks to be a transaction with a lot of little outputs. I'm guessing CoinAd or DailyBitcoins or something like that. Either you used one of them and don't remember, somebody else used your address on one of those sites and didn't tell you, or my guess is wrong.
Well, now that you talk about it I did fell for the CoinAd April Fools joke and used this one address ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Also, a moderator might fell it's needed to move this thread, but I couldn't find a better forum to post it.

Less risk on Pirate's lending program...

I added my site to the OF list of affiliates but none were every approved and I've never heard anything from them (Google AdSense were interested tho?). While "Anonymous Ads" doesn't pay very well at least it pays.
I got paid several times from OF.

You'll be surrounded by who??? ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) You honestly don't know what you're talking about. I've been involved with the psytrance scene for the last 15 years and I can assure you that they are some of the most technologicaly minded people around. I might not been to the Boom Fest, but I've been meditating and practising yoga for the past 4 years. I've been to yoga retreats in India, Thailand and here in Canada. The issue of money is mostly shunned upon. I might not know everything, but I do know something, that's from experience. And what has Yoga to do with Psytrance? Do you really think you'll be able to meditate in the middle of Boom Festival? Only if you take a dosage of LsD that'll put you into coma ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Like I said, you are confusing marketing strategies with how technologicaly advanced people are. Do as I say, don't do as I do, and all that stuff ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) EDIT: BTW: Infected Mushroom, one of the biggest psytrance icons, are the official soundtrack of BackTrack Linux... How's that for people who don't even know what encryption is? Really... LOL Big LOL Proof: http://www.backtrack-linux.org/backtrack/backtrack-5-are-you-infected-yet/http://www.backtrack-linux.org/backtrack-5-and-infected-mushroom/

I've been involved with the psytrance scene for the last 15 years and I can assure you that they are some of the most technologicaly minded people around. The only thing I'm sure they don't like in Bitcoin is the tremendous waste of energy spent on mining. Don't mind the mayan and hindu stuff they use in their promo stuff. It's just marketing, plain and simple ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

This http://www.boomfestival.org/ would be a better place to promote Bitcoin ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Oh, and to smoke weed, as long as you can get past the police at the gates with it ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

More popular? I don't think so. Especially when people with 40k impressions seem to earn something like 0.07 BTC... AA and OF are not the same thing. And yes, I also think that OF should get a lot more attention. To OF owner: Are you willing to sell it? ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

It would be one of the greatest heists in the bitcoin community if shakaru ends up winning this auction below his original debt ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Is he even allowed to bid? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

Paypal is a scam.
Exactly this. Paypal isn't slightly dodgy, it's not just that some people got on the wrong side of them, it's a long con to extract cash from people. They have locked and kept the funds of a very large number of legitimate people including charity funds. If you deal with paypal they will rob you. It's just a matter of time. +1 They'll lock your account just for receiving too much money... I wonder if they make more money from fees or from keeping funds. Your post just shows the utter ignorance most people have about Paypal. They don't keep the money. At most they freeze it for 180 days, in case they close the account. After those 180 days they just send a check with the account balance to the address that the user registered with them. If then user gave them a fake address and never get the check because of it is another matter. If you're doing serious business why would you lie to them about your address in the first place?

I think begging is part of a competitive market and naturally sorts itself out. Isn't any soliciting for commerce essentially begging? It's just that the marketing skill and creativity of the "beggar" varies across a wide range. Who can draw a line and say "this is acceptable business advertising, but that isn't"?
So... "my house burned down, please spare some change" could be considered "acceptable business advertising" by some standard that I'm not aware of?
