5161  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Cryptocurrencies Wallets on: September 14, 2017, 08:22:39 AM
excellent, this is what i am talking about.

So first I have to send my funds to the primary wallet let's say app wallet, then export the private key to another different wallet e.g. cold one.

thanks,

Yes, and @mocacinno is right, make sure that your primary wallet has this feature to export private keys or else you can't do that because there are wallets doesn't have this feature.

And FYI, exporting private keys will cause you big risks, because once someone knows your private keys there is a big chance that your coins will be lost or will be stolen from you. So once you exported it, save it in a safe place and make sure you encrypt the file where you save this key.
5162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: can anyone help me retrieve my spending pin?? on: September 14, 2017, 08:06:06 AM
If you're only talking about your pin for the login purposes in androids, maybe you save some recovery details of this wallet like private keys and recovery seed which is composed of 12 or 15 words and sometimes 24-word I guess, don't exactly the numbers. Or some file that you have to save for the recovery purposes. Do you have it right? if none, then I dunno if you can recover this funds on your wallet since those words and recovery seeds are the only way to recover your wallet and your funds of course.
5163  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://coin-generator.net on: September 14, 2017, 01:47:53 AM
What the hell is this?
That's good that you asked first before trying that thing. Just ignored them.
This trick will not work if their is no idiot people will try this,  only people who are desperate and having stupid minds believing they will get such amount if they will do this. So if you're not one of them stay away from that site.
5164  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info stole from my wallet 175$ on: September 13, 2017, 02:59:13 PM
I woke up on the morning and see -175$ ..
i ran malware byte and found 0 viruses.
no one could know my password.

beware of this site. terrible day for me.

You saw -175$ in your balance or your funds still there but you just got a negative amount?
If it was stolen then there's a record of the transaction made as what mentioned above post. Can you share it to us or post here the transaction ID so people here can know if what's the receiving address of this person who stole your funds.
5165  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain error message on: September 13, 2017, 08:38:48 AM
I tried to buy from blockchain using visa card. I'm from UK

Thanks

I didn't know that there's already an option to buy bitcoins from blockchain.info using visa cards.

Do you try more than once to buy? If the error always shows try to contact blockchain's support instead, there's no way people can help you here with your problem.
5166  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: September 13, 2017, 06:38:42 AM
But I much prefer use mycelium for faster confirmations tho, and electrum for multiple sending.
Faster confirmations? I don't understand how the wallet has anything to do with confirmation time... The confirmation time is based on fee rate and the current network conditions. If you send identical transactions from WalletA and WalletB at the same time, both with fee of X sats/byte, they should theoretically confirm at the same time.

The network has no idea what wallet they've come from, so saying "WalletA gives faster confirmations than WalletB" is nonsensical.

Please read the later post why I said 'Faster confirmation' using mycelium wallet. We're talking about transaction fee amount here and all you said is right but I'm more convinced that having large fee has the large chance to confirmed first.

Since mycelium fee is much higher than electrum, having such 130 sat/byte as lowest fee IIRC (before the recent update) than electrum having 90sat/byte as the lowest fee or even lower base on number as mentioned of tryninja since I never used that number of fee with electrum...
5167  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: September 13, 2017, 01:06:48 AM
If you can't select all the way down to 0 or 1 sat/b (as has gotten nextblock confirms when I looked at recent blocks within the last day), it's not 100% custom.
And they support this. They always had the option to allow you to manually customize the exactly amount you want to pay on fee with a textbox, and they also have a option to enable dynamic fees, where they will give you a few options based on calculations on their side - just like I said above.

Tools -> Preferences -> check "Edit fees manually";

Ah, Okay I never tried this option on electrum that there's an edit/manually customize a specific amount of the fee.

Thank you for clarifying this, pardon me earlier.

But I much prefer use mycelium for faster confirmations tho, and electrum for multiple sending.

5170  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Sent Bitcoins but Not Received Yet on: September 12, 2017, 01:18:24 PM
If the transaction is confirmed already by the Blockchain network, then there's an issue from the side of this wallet you mentioned which is this Questra, I never heard this wallet before, and are you sure you doubled or even tripled check the wallet address? if yes then there's wrong with the receiving bitcoin wallet provider you used.
5171  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: pissing sites on: September 12, 2017, 12:40:37 AM
Always check if the green lock is near the address of the website in the address bar. Usually scammers will not pay 60-100 dollars to just have a green lock, like bitcoin talk has to secure the connection. If you use web wallets you should be careful what google search bring up to as google takes time to check all sites and they might not know for what it is for in the early days. Better to switch to desktop wallets.

Those are the options to check for people who know where they want to go , like in your case Op. For others it is always best to try to search reviews for a specific website, program or exchange. Asking here is the best option as  you will get feedback back only in a few minutes.

yah it might be a pain for you to check if the link you entered is correct but the green lock and https are easy to spot so you shouldn't have any problems to that.

All legit sites with some kind of payment options has a green lock and https so if you're visiting a site without, then you might wanna search it on google

moreover if you are frequently using a certain site, you should bookmark it. that way you won't get lost.

Not all sites having SSL or this green lock is considered as trusted/legit as what you mentioned, buying ssl will cost you just 10-30 USD only so scammers can buy it, you should find a review of experience of those who used this sites in the very begining in google and search 2-3 reviews. Sorry for your lost, let this incident served you as a lesson. You can report this site as a phishing site in google.
5172  Economy / Services / Re: Signature Design Contest For Narbonne [First bank lending to miners] on: September 11, 2017, 01:12:02 PM

Based on the escrow address there's no balance or funds stored with such amount.

Maybe you posted a different address by mistake just guessing or anything else.

Anyways good luck to those who will be selected as winner.
5173  Economy / Services / Re: Escrow Service of Bl4nkcode (Hero Member) - Escrowed more than 2 BTC on: September 11, 2017, 03:02:48 AM
no fee forever?
Please read the main post again, I will not ask for the service fee if the transacted amount is below 0.2 BTC.

But in a usual case, I will ask for the transaction fee for the outgoing transaction to be sent.

Do you have any idea to change the site's logo? The logo seems the same with the former bitmixer.io' logo IMO.
5175  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: September 09, 2017, 07:18:05 AM
beca
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mycelium.wallet&hl=en

Custom fees are now a thing. Nice one, Mycelium. On the bottom of the send section it gives you a slider of fee options.
I like this new update I just saw it earlier tho, now you have more options to choose if you want a low prio and I guess there's 20+? option from zero to the largest fee for every category I mean if you choose from LP, Eco, Nor, and Prio.

Thank god! I actually started only using Mycelium to watch by balances, and have been using only Electrum to send transactions because of the custom fees support. But I must admit that the new slider looks awesome with all the pre-created fees options and the estimated time for confirmation for each one of them.

I prefer to use Mycelium for fee purposes because electrum does take much higher fee than mycelium.

Now, they just need to remove this crappy ICO advertisement and I will have no more complains.

Well, I can't argue with this because they need also some funds so they have advertisement tab but of course, you can ignore that tab instead.

I'm the only one who can't manage to get the last update? the wallet didn't auto update and when I check for new update through the menu, It says that I'm 2.9.2 and It's up to date while there is clearly a new version out.

Maybe you can try to clear cache the app or the play store if you are using Android.

5176  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Exchange Bitcoin directly to Dollar? on: September 08, 2017, 12:56:15 PM
There's only you can do if you don't want to go on some exchange sites online. Pick some trusted people here that lives in the same country as you or use an escrow instead, send your bitcoin you want to withdraw to him and let him process the withdrawals and use some remittances, or WU but of course, you have to follow their terms or rules and it will include some additional fees. So far that's the only idea I thought.
5177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Physical bitcoin safety? on: September 08, 2017, 01:42:44 AM
Yeah, you should get this bitcoins and stored on your own device/software, I can't say that this platform will become scam since you said your Bitcoin stayed there for years but there still chances that this will happen since this platform is a kind of web wallet if I'm correct. So storing your own coins with full control of yours will be much safer. Hardware wallet or paper wallet is much better since you save your coins for long term.

I have a Bitcoin wallet through an exchange, can I have a wallet not attached to an exchange? or multiple wallets? if the exchange has problems = I have problems Sad
Yes, and you're right its the same if you have a web wallet so I recommend that use a mobile wallet like Mycelium, desktop wallet like electrum or a hardware wallet like ledger nano s tho and trezor tho you have to buy the hardware wallets first. I'm assure you that this wallets are the safest one. Look here https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet
5180  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Missing BTC in my Exodus Wallet on: September 07, 2017, 02:37:53 AM
Is your exodus wallet is on its latest version? You should use the latest version of it. And you say you trying to send 0.05 to bittrex but there's an error occured now did you try to look at your bittrex balance, it should be there IMO since the balance of 0.05 is missing from your wallet. Or will you mind to share here your wallet address, or the transaction ID.

I have encountered some issue with exodus also but its opposite from your problem, when I sent some coins to other wallet it was succesfully sent to my x wallet but the balance is still there on my exodus but when I'm trying to send again this balance there's an error that I don't have enough balance which is true, I guess its a kind of bug on their wallet but its not a big deal to me.
