5161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites accepting bets from countries where gambling is illegal. on: October 12, 2020, 08:33:24 AM
To my fellow gambles, don't be shy to share your opinion, advises and experience so everyone will be aware.

The TOS of the gambling sites has been the center of attention in most of the problems that I see here on the forum because many people even knowing that they are citizens of the USA continue to break the TOS of the gambling sites. If the person knows that they should not create an account on site X because TOS forbids it, why the hell does it create an account and then complain here on the forum because their money was blocked? I start to think that all gambling sites should write in big letters on the first page: "read the TOS before creating an account" I give reason to casino owners when they take certain actions, because it gets tiring to repeat the same thing over and over

Any gambler who is betting a lot of money should make sure to check the TOS of the casino before gambling. We shouldn't just rely on others to inform us about potential risk. However the TOS is no guarantee that things will go wrong afterwards. The problem if online gambling in your country is not allowed, is that you have no chances to clear issues though court. You are at the mercy of a casino. What if the casino decides to change their TOS afterwards, or what if the casino is getting pressured by your government to prohibit people from your country to play? For me the risks would be just to high to gamble any larger amounts.
5162  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you watch MMA? on: October 12, 2020, 08:26:37 AM
Humans claim to be an evolutionary, but they just lock each other in cages and fight like animals. Culture from primitive time? Those images enter our mind and we may one day act the same way ?
What do you think about this issue ?

There are a lot of rules in MMA with a referee present in the ring. I think its better to have such sports regulated and visible in public. Because if the government would ban such sports it wouldn't stop. Fighting has been part of human nature for so long. There will probably always be demand for contact sports like MMA, boxing, Thai kick boxing, etc. People would just do these things illegally in some underground sport places if it were banned. I think bare knuckle boxing is more brutal than MMA.
5163  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'm broke in real life. I lost most of my money. on: October 12, 2020, 07:41:55 AM

My question, is there anything else I can do to make money online that are somewhat in the grayhat and blackhat area?

While I'm aware that some people might take this post negatively and trash it because it doesn't affect them, I still have faith and is looking for some thoughtful advice or information that can get along way.

At the moment it's very hard to make money online because of the corona pandemic many people lost their jobs and are looking for revenues online. Maybe you have some programming skills or some special language skills that you could work in translation? Without any starting capital it's getting even more harder in the online world to make money. Maybe you have some rare furniture or other things at home you could sell online? Good luck to you and your family. Hang in there.

This tweet gives me a good chuckle, 2016, the price is below $1k, and now the the US has again, had their first Presidential debate, the price is well above $10k, so that's more than 10x gain in four years.

Wonder what will be the next price four years from the next Presidential debate? could the pattern repeats itself.

Does this mean Trump was good for Bitcoins?  Cheesy Let's hope Bitcoins is not going back down to $1k when Biden wins. But honestly I don't think the debate had a big impact on the bitcoin price. Overall elections are usually good for the economy and will also results in higher bitcoin prices.  And usually I would expect Democrats to be better for the tech and crypto sector than the Republicans.

My best guess for the next debate in 4 years would be to see bitcoins up to $20,000. It doesnt seem likely to have any price below $10k.

5166  Economy / Economics / Re: Wipe out on crypto vs wipe out on stock market? on: October 11, 2020, 04:46:19 PM

I think crypto is superior because the latter person still can keep the crypto in their wallet, while the former person get wipe out and left with debt worth of a student loan.

Btw everybody only YOLO, because nobody can buy back his life and revive when they get wasted just like in GTA5, you die IRL that’s a permadeath, no revive, no buy back, no second life. Crypto or stock market? Choose wisely.

A wipe out in crpyto or stock market is brutal either way. If I had to choose I would probably prefer a wipe out on the stock market. Because even if you lose a lot of money on your stocks, you still own a part of that company, maybe the value is very low but they can still pay some dividends and you are getting passive income for a few years until the price levels recover. As for a wipeout in the crypto world there is more risks involved in my opinion. The problem with losing a lot of value in an alt coin is that afterwards the coin might be just not active anymore. If people stop trading in a particular coin than there is almost no chance for price levels to recover again.
5167  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the vaccine for? on: October 11, 2020, 03:45:45 PM
A corona vaccine is being tested for providing immunity against the virus. With a vaccine the world is trying to contain the pandemic. And especially high risk groups like older people and people with preconditions will need such a vaccine.
However, there are 2 problems with vaccines. First, we need to check if the vaccine is not harmful. There needs to be long term trials to see what are the long term effects of the vaccine are. And the second problem is the virus itself. Is the immunity long lasting or is the virus changing and evolving?if that would be the case we would need a vaccine every year like for the flu.
5168  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you betting online ? on: October 11, 2020, 03:35:58 PM
Online betting is evil. Fans of gambling, of course, do not miss the chance to play in a casino, and there are a lot of such casinos on the Internet.

It all depends on who you ask. Someone who lost money gambling online might say it's evil and someone who won money say it's a good thing. I am a realist when it comes to online casino, they are just offering a service where is demand for that. It's in our hand to act accordingly to our beliefs. Recently I lost more than I won but for me online gambling and betting is still a good thing.
5169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: October 11, 2020, 03:28:44 PM
The World’s Smallest Casino is Run from the Back of a London Cab

If you’re looking for the address for the world’s smallest casino, chances are that you won’t find it. Why? Because it’s operated from the back seat of a cab in London—it’s a mobile casino!

This casino is an extension of Grosvenor Casino in London. It comes complete with a dealer, gaming table and bar. It even comes with a TV that shows sports. You’re allowed to go anywhere you want with this cab as long as you make a charitable donation.

Source: http://whygavs.com/news/7-gambling-facts-thatll-blow-your-mind.html

That sounds like fun but could go horribly wrong. Imagine being drunk at night and going home in such a cab. I would be losing so much money. Better to leave the credit card at home. But then again a lot of casinos have apps for the phone and it's the same risk. Most of the time I lose money when gambling drunk. Like yesterday night, instead of going straight to bed I decided to play some blackjack and ended up losing $50. It's so hard sometimes to refrain from gambling if everything is accessible 24/7.
5170  Economy / Economics / Re: Will African countries be developed? on: October 11, 2020, 03:14:53 PM

it's just that in Africa it is probably the worst.

Worst if you say so and that is because of bad leadership that is a result of corruption and bad policy implication. But looking down very well, it is not only Africa but third world but Africa is in spotlight because of its large size and the people of Africa are in active participation in global affairs.

Also because it's been a long decades and still same policy and same politics that keep Africa way far from every third world countries. There's no real changes between leaders.

Africa needs people who can lead them to bring modernizations and good educations, concern leaders that will bring them to challenged poverties and not just after wealth.

I agree with you, the best thing for Africa would be to grow from within. If local education would be higher it would much easier for countries to grow out of poverty. Unfortunately most humans (all around the world, not only in Africa) think about themselfs first, and their families and friends second and countries usually last. The high level of corruption in Africa make it so hard for companies to grow competitive on a global scale. I think getting rid of corruption with implementing new business reforms should be the way to go for Africa to get developed. The Western and Asian countries need to help here, but with the corona pandemic still ongoing it's very hard to get more funding for African infrastructure projects.
5171  Other / Off-topic / Re: Artificial Intelligence (AI); Pros and Cons. on: October 11, 2020, 03:09:23 PM
AI is basically a machine or computer having functions that are normally associated with the human mind; like logical reasoning or problem solving.

MY CONCLUSION: I think AI should only be used when ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. This may create some sort of balance and allow more natural/human intelligence. It may also reduce laziness among humans and even improve out-of-the-box thinking.

I believe Artificial Intelligence is the future, there are so many aspects in live that can be inproved with AI. We should not be afraid of the new technology. As humans it's in our nature to look for new technologies, we are always trying to evolve. Computers was the big invention of the last century but AI is going to be the big thing in the 21th century. AI is here to make live easier for us all, we need to impraise it and try to improve it.
5172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: October 11, 2020, 07:51:06 AM
If people are your friend who you know, you can trust him because he won't lie to you.
In my view, even we are have a closed friends, I can't trust him if it related with our asset, money and privacy. We never know people working in behind any crime such as scam project or scam gambling. You are trust your friend because never lie, but how if he one of scammers person for you in the future because he knows how many your money on gambling sites. In other things yes we can trust him, but if about gambling, asset and other related with money or crypto, be careful because he can turn as something else anytime. It will better you take a risk from gambling because of your self and your decision. So, when you lose or lost asset, it because of your self not because other people who reccommend the wrong services.

A tip from a friend is usually just his interpretation of the possible outcome. He might have some more insights than us but there is still uncertainty involved and his predictions might be wrong. It is very hard to find a completely safe bet. Just look at game Barcelona playing Logrono today, the odds are 1.01 against 100. Your payout on this 99% sure game is very small and you still have the tail risk of Logrono winning. Unfortunately there is no free lunch out there. The reward on these seemingly safe bets are just too low in my opinion of running a risk to lose it all.
5173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker talk - Specifically Hold'em - Hands and or strategy on: October 10, 2020, 08:47:28 PM
Hand#2
*** TURN *** [3s Kd 4d] [6s] Main pot 10296.00
Hero bets 2574.00
Villain calls 2574.00

the problem with that weak delayed cbet is that your only move now is to shove the river, and the villain likely feels pot committed if he has a made hand. that's why stack sizes made this one so tough.

i'm curious to see how this one turned out.

I agree, when betting 25% pot you kind of invite a lot of people to call. When being the pre flop raisers an continuation bet is standard these days. And bluffing on the turn or river should be much larger in my opinion. Bet sizing became such an important tool in the last years.

Sunday million is a clash with the BTCtalk game.

Better to fully concentrate on the million clash than playing SWC Poker. Hype Sunday  Cheesy

Not sure if you play on Party Poker, but they are giving away $25 in Tournament Dollars at the moment if you verify your account with kyc. So looks like I will be playing some $3/$5 Bounty Hunter rounds tomorrow.
5175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites accepting bets from countries where gambling is illegal. on: October 10, 2020, 10:47:49 AM
In my country gambling is legal, you need to be 18 to either gamble in a physical casino or online. Since I am already quite old this is not a problem for me. I also had never issues with kyc or verifying myself at online casinos. I know a few people from the states who play online poker and had issues with finding websites where they can play. Most of them actually moved to Canada just to be able to gamble online without problems.

So I can't really give you sound legal advice how to gamble. But personally I would be very cautious if gambling was not allowed in your country. Its mostly your duty to follow the laws. Sure the casino needs to do it too, but since gambling is already illegal what bad can happen for the casino? They are already banned. Can't get much worse than that. Just imagine you win really big in the casino and they just block your account when trying to withdraw? Without legal status all the risks are with you.
5176  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela Planning New 100,000-Bolivar Bills Worth Just $0.23 on: October 10, 2020, 10:36:40 AM
This is so sad and will probably not help at all. They should be trying to fix their economy instead of printing new money. Who is actually going to use such a bill? I saw in a documentary about Venezuela that most stores are not accepting bolivar anymore as a means of payment. Most restaurants and stores only accept USD these. Around 70% of the families have atleast one family member living abroad send money, usually USD to Venezuela.

Venezuela has so many natural resources that the country should be flourishing with the right government. They need to eliminate corruption and make new economic reforms to get back on track.
5177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A case of the pandemic changing the score and affecting sports betting on: October 10, 2020, 10:17:32 AM
I didn't really notice a difference in competitive sports due to corona pandemic. Sure the stadiums are empty and the atmosphere feels very different but in terms of gameplay and outcomes it feels pretty normal to me. After almost a full sport season with corona the results are pretty normal, top tier teams are at the top of the score boards and the bad teams are at the bottom. Also the corona infection of top tier players was not really severe this yes.

As for sports betting I find that more people are involved these days. Probably due to more time at hand because of lock down and social distancing.
5178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a high roller? on: October 10, 2020, 09:26:58 AM

it always starts like that for me, but later I pick up the chip and go to the end, it's not worth it, it's like a disease. I realized that I would never be satisfied, and when I decide to either lose everything or take it will never be enough to take to get up, it’s a little confusing but that’s the way it is.
I start with the goal of a young chip, but I will not stop, simply impossible.

I am having similar problems when gambling. The main problem I notice is that I just don't value small winnings as much, my target in gambling is always to go for the big winnings. So I tend to play too long as usually just lose all the previous winnings from the day. It would be awesome to become a high roller one day. I love to watch documentaries about high rollers and their interaction with casinos. Getting free suites, dinners, concert tickets is such a cool lifestyle. There are so many goodies for the VIPs at a casino which all of us standard gamblers will never experience. High rollers are really lucky for such a life.
5179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone bet on the sharks yet ? on: October 10, 2020, 08:05:22 AM
So apparently I came across a very interesting news : People are now betting on The Great White Sharks.
It's not violent, it's not like Fighting or something but rather betting on their migration journeys.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/betting-great-white-shark-migration-ocearch-mybookie-coronavirus-a9603201.html

First time I read about this, sounds like a nice marketing gag. I like Sharks a lot, so could be fun to bet on them. But I never used MyBookie, actually I never heard of them before. They must be pretty new in the field. The reviews on trustpilot ( 185  Reviews - Bad - 1.4 / 5 Stars) are not the greatest so I would do some more research before depositing any money on their site. Anyone has some experience with them?
