5181  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Too easy to manipulate? on: March 19, 2019, 05:37:48 PM
Well, well... so far on OP question no one knows the right answer. Probably not and probably yes.
For me, it is just because of being "hype", those articles/news are really creating a huge hype and have an effect on the market price or reversible situation. Price movement of cryptocurrency will go up higher if the demand increases the price was running high. There are different circumstances that we can say there's manipulating the market but the fact is the movement itself. Indeed, no one knows.
5182  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What are the best bitcoin wallets? on: March 19, 2019, 07:02:49 AM
Looking for a secure place to store my bitcoins. What do you recommend? I found a few here, but looking for more feedback

Thanks!

Hardware wallet is the most secure place to store bitcoin, such as Ledger Nano and Trezor. You can also use desktop wallet Exodus or web wallet Coinbase and Blockchain.info. These are a few best options.

These offline wallets are probably safe but there's a possibility that it might be hacked if we are too lazy not to keep our private key in the proper place. The most important is keeping the private key and seed of phrase to recover our wallet anytime.
I don't agree on the web wallet. Most of them have different issues.
That's right, we must keep the private key after making our bitcoin wallet to ensure that it will be secure from hacking incident.
Always bear this in your mind that if you're not holding private key/ seed phrase the bitcoin/altcoin you've stored is not belongs to you.

Use electrum wallet is the best option you install this on your clean laptop that not infected malware virus.

Donating a computer even an old one/used in a in a barrio along with solar panel set and prepaid internet I think is a good idea, it could help to spread the news about bitcoin and at the same time could keep them up to date...  students could have access to information that is not available on obsolete books, or the elderly who are not even aware of what's happening around the country who rely on news on radio and TV( which are sometimes one sided, incomplete ) or worst from hearsay...
Brilliant idea sir Mr. Big, I think that places are usually in provinces or rural area that those people can't access prepaid internet.

I remember that idea way back during my high school life here our province someone from foreign NGO's donating 15 sets units of computers that really help and make us computer literate.

I agree with that suggestion. Wink

5185  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Another shooting: Utrecht shooting on: March 18, 2019, 07:44:40 PM
I have read a lot of articles and flash news about this Gokmen Tanis the gunman in Dutch. I have read that the guy was already arrested because of shooting on a tram in the Dutch City of Utrecht and killed three innocent people and 5 were injured in the incident.

Some say that this guy is actually involved with terrorism movements but it's not yet sure and his motive is really unclear. This guy is a Turkish man and is really alleged as a terrorist. This issue is deeply disturbing and they must find the reason why these people exist.
5186  Economy / Services / Re: yahoo62278 Campaign Management services(Get all your needs here) on: March 18, 2019, 07:15:46 PM

5187  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: March 18, 2019, 04:51:12 PM
..Mas prefer ko lang talaga ang Cebuana compared sa LBC padala.
Let's just accept the fact now na wala na talaga ang Cebuana Lhuillier, let's move on. There's nothing we can do, most of us are using Coins.ph when it comes withdrawal the fund(fiat). So, be patient nalang talaga huwag na puro urgent cashout.

...Pero above all of this, tayo rin minsan ang problema. Gusto natin kakatok na lang sa atin ang kinashout natin. lol.
Lol, I have also noticed with that. We always wanted hurriedly when it comes to getting cash.
5188  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bitcoin Charity Programs - Filipino Community on: March 18, 2019, 04:18:57 PM

Let's talk bL4nkcode regarding this matter maybe he agree on this and hold the fund even the payment will be sent later or maybe he holds for free. Wink
5189  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] BTT - BCT - BTCT? on: March 18, 2019, 11:16:08 AM
Because it is? But not sure if it's a legitimate one. Lol. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bct-coin/
What is legitimate in unregulated crypto world? Smiley

Great question mate, I also curious this kind of abbreviation here in our forum. How can we say it is legit when we ain't controlled by any regulation or law in the first place? We are decentralized.

BTT is the one I used. When I came here users are already talking about BTT(maybe old users BCT). But isn't bad if we mention the complete name. Bitcointalk.org

Nice catch Mr. Big that was solid proof that against OP. OP, now you know the reason for being banned. It should be plagiarism offense.

As I look into your current post was all in local and all 1 liner shit post. No doubt. Cheesy

You're just not like Legendary rank by that.

5191  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bitcoin Charity Programs - Filipino Community on: March 18, 2019, 06:47:46 AM
Count me in if you needed me in that program mate. Wink

I think we can consult or need suggestion from sir dabs regarding this or we can continue his program by feeding street children.

There is also an opening thread similar from this but it doesn't work probably.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1673438.0

So, if this work we can open a group to discuss it there further and to organize this well. Or we can make solicit from other countries as what CryptopreneurBrainboss did.
5192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction problem (Beginner) on: March 18, 2019, 04:51:45 AM
You've been bought Bitcoin from ATM machine and the transaction fee was $1.5 to your web wallet address which is blockchain.com and then you've sent into another address and you've set in 0.03$ fee which very low fees. It's very simple logic, high fees with fast transaction and low fees of course low transaction.
Yes, web wallet is not safe it is better to install desktop wallet here: https://electrum.org/. You can set into 5 blocks which it takes minutes to wait only.

5193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WINKLEVOSS: ‘CRYPTO DOESN’T NEED RULES,’ CRYPTOCURRENCY COMPANIES DO on: March 18, 2019, 03:34:00 AM
Cryptocurrency companies must be responsible for doing rules and regulations in their cryptocurrencies to avoid loopholes for their business. Rules will help users to be more secure and safe with their assets in the cryptocurrency industry and the companies should do it as soon as possible. Creating rules and regulation isn't that easy but they have to make sure to do it as much as possible for us the users and the enthusiasts.
5194  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: About most likely an scam BTC mining on: March 18, 2019, 03:15:35 AM
I am very sorry for the inconvenience you are feeling right now. I know I never had enough experience in cloud mining because since the platform started, I read an article about it stating that cloud mining is not a good idea for investment.

Let me just tell you an idea about cloud mining companies strategy. Lately, we opened an internet cafe in our town and we have a server with 32 ram, enough to run the server smoothly. The PC was shut down and we did not know what was the reason until we have downloaded internet security software. We found out that there is software installed in our PC which is invisibly mining using our processors and it was from a famous bitcoin cloud mining company.

Cloud mining or any other mining platform is not a good idea for investment and I would like you to be strong and learn from it. Sooner you will have the chance to stand up again. Indeed, don't trust cloud mining at all.
5195  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's the lowest we'll see from here on out (3/15 and beyond) on: March 18, 2019, 02:01:05 AM
In my own speculation, there's a big chance that the price of the Bitcoin would drop below 3,000 USD but after that, the price will go high as the sky. Sooner, the Bitcoin will become lucrative again because of the events that will happen globally. People are moving their currencies to assets where their money will go high or not become low price. Bitcoin is one of the best options for the tycoons to move their fiats to keep their wealth except gold so I am expecting Bitcoin to rise soon.
5196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's your favorite to win this year's Champions League ? on: March 18, 2019, 01:43:49 AM
Juventus and Barcelona are the most promising team that would possibly become the 2 teams to play the finals. Well, Barcelona is very well known for being a champion in the football league but in this year of 2019 Juventus seem so much passion and their attitude is like telling us that they will own this year. It's really hard to predict since football is a very tricky sport, as well but in my own opinion, Juventus is my bet.
5197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - A Game of Luck or Strategy on: March 18, 2019, 01:19:31 AM
For me, gambling requires a small 60% strategy and 40% percent luck. If you have a high emotional intelligence qoutient, you will probably win the gambling game. Wanna know how and why? Imagine this, if you have a small EIQ, there's a big chance that you will play gamlbing games using your emotions without any logic. In short, you will play the game without knowing you cannot afford to lose.
So, if you have a strategy, the first thing you would do is to make sure that you can afford to lose what you will bet. You will win in gambling using strategy. But you have to outplay them emotionally and power.
5198  Economy / Speculation / Re: The end of the sideways market is only a few months a head. TA on: March 17, 2019, 10:37:18 PM
On this era, it is really hard to be optimistic and find things to make us at least feel well. Let's say the chart is looking good and the price went to $4k mark but what the next days, it fell down again. If you really want to have profits, you can actually hodl and wait for the moment to come. That is the best option we have today since we always keep being optimistic and disappointed. We have to learn from those.
5199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new look to KYC, from a customer's perspective. on: March 17, 2019, 05:11:49 PM
So, what does KYC mean? I always hated that thing, mostly because I feelt it is an unnecesary leak of information.
KYC/AML is really needed especially if you are starting a company that offers innovation and if you want to improve your services and if you want to have a solid statics and data system. You said that you need to know the CEO of the company before letting them know your personal information but it's not the thing you have to base. You have to know the whole team and what they really do. If you really wanted to try to invest with them then you have to try your best to reach them and talk with them verbally.

OP, please check this the remediation of having KYC/AML. :  https://complyadvantage.com/knowledgebase/kyc/kyc-remediation/

How has bitcoin affected your life (positively and negatives). How was your life before you invested in bitcoin (cryptocurrency in general) and how has your life been after then
Let me first to discuss it here mate. Wink
Alright, I will start in the days before I invested time, money and effort in Crypto industry. I was just the kind of person who wanted to earn money with my passion (which is a computer). Since I wasn't able to learn how to work programming, yet I wanted to see myself in front of the monitor and having a business/job while using it.

I did my best the find ways to do my dream job. I was really tough until I met this guy, he is now my best friend. He introduced me the Bitcoin way back in 2013. We did faucets and some crypto gambling before. I never thought that I will be involved with this wonderful platform (bitcointalk.org) but I am really happy to be with the industry for years.
