I use both blockchain and coinbase but coinbase has not been so good as it does not transfer to my bank account and does not transfer few bitcoins to another account. I also have a xapo wallet but the transaction fee is about 10% of the amount you transfer.

How does Coinbase work with your private keys? Is there a way to view/export them?

A big NO. We can only tell them where to send the BTC and how much. Undecided

lYou could take a screenshot of the 2FA code and then encrypt the picture, then backup the encrypted picture after destroying the original.

Implementing 2FA however would likely result in a lot of people being locked out of their accounts because they lost their phone, their phone was turned off, ect.

+1.

It's their choice. It's good to use Bitcoin 2FA because Bitcoin 2FA is in this forum now and is working good but is done manually by Admins. In the new forum software, it will be automatic. Roll Eyes

You can see them when someone quotes them as he mentioned.

So.. does "ignore" work only to the original post ? This is not a complete  "ignore function" (literally a bug).

I have ignored both of you : http://flic.kr/p/qW5HMT. Can you please make a post, so I understand(don't forget to quote).

Do you know if 2fa will only be google autentificator??

I prefer Authy because its linked to your phone number. I broke my phone and was able to recover authy but not google.

Any idea on this ??

I don't know about Authy but Google 2FA and Bitcoin 2FA is there.

You can scan Google 2FA with Authy but I don't know whether it will backup Google 2FA codes. I suggest you to backup 2FA codes, so you can import it later.

How you can know how much we are getting ?
Anyway , what do you mean we can't know how much we can earn , I was watching Statistics and we are getting about 5-10 million views monthly . that would generate easily 50k $ a month . I know that some people do use Adblock .

Check auctions and you are right!

4) not paying in bitcoin

As I said , there is Alternatives that pays with Bitcoin , I was just giving an example about Google adsense which is the most known around here . Even if they was no companies that pays with Bitcoin , they would simply use Banks , Paypal , Western Union then buy Bitcoin.

~ Madness

Big tax problems might be there.

Why Google Adsense don't use Bitcoin?

Anonymity maybe.

By the way, Post updated.

3) Upfront payment. When using Google, we can't know how much we can earn. At the current price, forum is getting ~$1,924.02087/~10 days.

Many months ago I adopted a shoot first policy on members with ads in their sig.  I began reflexively clicking "ignore" on any poster that had an ad in their sig.  I only un-ignore when I encounter quotes of things that poster has said that indicate that they actually contribute useful, helpful, or interesting things.

This has made bitcointalk a much more useful and much more pleasant place to participate in.

I personally don't like ignoring someone. Smiley

No offense but I think it isn't possible to see a ignored person's posts. So do you unignore to check the post and then if it is useful, perma-unignore or else, perma-ignore?

but fee counterwallet to send btc 0.0005

That is for counterparty assets, right?

hello every one can you please tell me about
What about blockchain info is its also good site to safe my btc ?

Yes, it is! Don't make paper backup using their function, check the url before entering the credentials and make a backup of individual addresses. If the site goes down and you want to send some BTC, you can import the address you want to send from, thus, no exposing other private keys.

But I recommend GreenAddress.

Really? I sent the bitcoins just 2 days back and so soon they removed the transaction fee?   Undecided It's good then as blockchain is doing better and Xapo is just new.

I haven't used Xapo for some time now. They used to charge a small fee. Can you tell me how much amount you sent?

Can I use any api on faucetbox script?

Yes but Microwallet API needs more editing because it also has non-BTC address as username.

I don't think it should be too difficult but I have not looked at the Trezor API. Does it support offline raw transaction signing ?

The reply I got:

Anybody know any tool for signing raw TX using Trezor?

Hmm, maybe electrum can do this.

I use python-trezor for this.  You have to write a small python program, as the example program cmdtr.py does not support signing transactions.  If you use the Python API you have to supply the inputs and outputs of the raw transaction manually.

Code:
devices = HidTransport.enumerate()
transport = HidTransport(devices[0])
client = TrezorClient(transport)
client.set_tx_api(TXAPIBitcoin())
(signatures, serialized_tx) = client.sign_tx('Bitcoin', [proto_types.TxInputType(address_n=client.expand_path("44'/0'/0'/0/1"), prev_hash=binascii.unhexlify("6cd0..."), prev_index=0)], [proto_types.TxOutputType(amount=100000, script_type=proto_types.PAYTOADDRESS, address="12dR...")])
print binascii.hexlify(serialized_tx)

Look into cmdtr.py/Helloworld.py for examples that use python-trezor.

Thanks! I am not a programmer but I understood Python as it is like a human readable language. I will post this in counterparty thread. If anybody know any other, feel free to post in counterparty.

FYI there is a bounty going there for creating one. Link : https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterwallet/issues/2.

we are talking about if sig-ads are an incentive for new users (btc users - not btct users).
and i still think thats not the case...

As faucets aren't really worth now, sig-ads will help them to earn some BTC by contributing to the forum and they will learn some new things from it.

btw the sentences are not contradicting each other.  i need btc to buy an account. if someone has btc i dont consider him new.

I thought you said in general but now I understood you said how 'you see'. This is how 'I see':

If you joined a school and bought the books, you are still a new student for a few days.

Edit:

That's why I said “if used responsibly”.

In general, drugs are very hard(near to impossible) to be used responsibly.

Can I install .10 on top my current last version installation or I need to have a fresh install and download the damn blockchain again? I HOPE NOT.

Yes.

If you are running an older version, shut it down. Wait until it has completely shut down (which might take a few minutes for older versions), then run the installer (on Windows) or just copy over /Applications/Bitcoin-Qt (on Mac) or bitcoind/bitcoin-qt (on Linux).

Release 0.10.0 makes use of headers-first synchronization and parallel block download (see further), the block files and databases are not backwards-compatible with older versions of Bitcoin Core or other software:

  • Blocks will be stored on disk out of order (in the order they are received, really), which makes it incompatible with some tools or other programs. Reindexing using earlier versions will also not work anymore as a result of this.
  • The block index database will now hold headers for which no block is stored on disk, which earlier versions won’t support.

Bitcoin Core now uses ‘headers-first synchronization’. This means that we first ask peers for block headers (a total of 27 megabytes, as of December 2014) and validate those. In a second stage, when the headers have been discovered, we download the blocks. However, as we already know about the whole chain in advance, the blocks can be downloaded in parallel from all available peers.

In practice, this means a much faster and more robust synchronization. On recent hardware with a decent network link, it can be as little as 3 hours for an initial full synchronization. You may notice a slower progress in the very first few minutes, when headers are still being fetched and verified, but it should gain speed afterwards.

Hey,

My designs for Ocupy.net Sig Contest:

Designs are highly compatible with all browsers and also to each text "OCUPY Connect         OCUPY  Knowledge        OCUPY HUBs" I will put seperated links but for now I found just /hubs so I will put links after I will get them.

 =snip=

Your designs are awesome! Good luck, friend!

A tip : Don't always post the codes here. After you create signature, take an image and then post here. It is more secure and some of your codes won't be stolen away. Smiley

Drugs are not harmful to society if used responsibly. Look at the Netherlands, for instance.

AFAIK it is! When some people eats drugs, the people living near are in danger especially women in one way or another.

if i want to buy an acount i need btc first, so i am not a new user.

If you joined a school and bought the books, you are still a new student for a few days.

a real new user would just buy some and try them (or just speculates)

If you want to buy accounts here, you will have to pay them in BTC or in other cryptocurrencies, if you are sticking with first line, then you should change this line because there is no such thing as 'real new user'. Otherwise, correct the mistake - change first line.
