Villarreal are a really interesting team now. Although Juventus had a big rate of domination against them, Villarreal somehow won that game by scoring three goals in the last fifteen-minute period of the game. I must admit that we can't compare Juventus and Bayern Munich here actually. Because these two teams have completely different strategies. Bayern Munich are much more ruthless than Juventus and they have more capable players in general too. When we think about this, we can say that Villarreal might cause some difficulties for Bayern Munich in Spain but things would be completely the opposite in Germany.

Bence ağzıyla kuş tutsa da Barcelona şampiyon olamaz bu sezon daha. Ama belki diplerine kadar girmeyi başarırlar eğer Real Madrid biraz daha hatalar yaparsa.

Ben de liglerin kaldığı yerden devam etmesini iple çekiyorum valla. Hele ki Premier Lig için iyice sabırsızlanıyorum çünkü şampiyonluk yarışı son gaz devam ediyor şu an. Manchester City, Liverpool'un sadece 1 puan önünde liderliğini devam ettiriyor ama son zamanlarda Liverpool biraz daha iyi bir görüntü veriyor. Zaten Manchester City'nin açıklarını iyi değerlendirerek bu kadar küçük bir fark yakaladı. Bu saatten sonra da ligin sonuna kadar ikisinden birisinin farkı çok açarak şampiyon olacağına ihtimal bile vermem.

One thing seems to be certain that Milan are going to be the most comfortable team next week. They won't have a difficult game while their closest opponents are having such games. Maybe Milan would come out as very profitable after the week ends. Even if the gaps are maintained among the top four teams, Milan are still going to be the closest team to the title statistically. But their gap with the others is so small that anything can change any time. I just would like to see the competition going on for many more weeks. We don't see the Serie A like this every year. 

Let's see what Arsenal do in the rest of the season. They are still doing a great job in the fight for the fourth place. And we will see how long they will stay in this. I think that they are going to maintain their fight until the end. And they are one of the very close teams to ending the season at that place. But it is not going to be an easy job for them to maintain the place all the time. Tottenham and Manchester United would do their best to capture it. And maybe even West Ham too but I see them as the least likely.

The most surprising incident of the night was that Italy lost to North Macedonia by 0-1. They were extremely overwhelming in the game in fact but they still couldn't advance to next round. It was a very unfortunate thing for Italy. I still don't understand how this happened. Italy had their most unlucky game ever and said goodbye to their chance for the World Cup. And the Portugal - Turkey game was really good too. Turkey were nearly scoring the equalizer but they missed the penalty. And it resulted in their elimination.

Artık Fenerbahçe ciddi şekilde ikinciliğe çok yaklaşmış durumda. Konyaspor'u yendikten sonra onlarla aradaki farkı iki puana kadar indirdiler. İlk iki takım Şampiyonlar Ligi elemelerine gittiği için Fenerbahçe'nin böyle bir fırsatı yakalamışken ellerinden kayıp gitmesine izin vereceğini sanmıyorum. Ama istikrarlı olmaya devam etmesi lazım. Artık malesef şampiyonu bile direkt olarak gruplara gönderemiyoruz. Her neyse, bakalım bu ikincilik savaşını kim kazanacak.

Çok talihsiz bir şekilde elendi Türkiye. Gerçekten böyle olsun istemezdim. Portekiz rahatça eleseydi yine neyse derdim şaşırtmazdı. Ama maçı uzatmaya götürmeye o kadar yaklaşmıştık ki. Burak Yılmaz çok kritik bir penaltı kullandı ve malesef topu direğe nişanladı. Bu kesinlikle maçın kırılma anıydı ve sonra olanlar da ortada işte. 3-1'lik bir mağlubiyet hatta nerdeyse 4-1. Keşke Burak Yılmaz yerine başka biri penaltıyı kullansaydı diyorum şu an. İlla ki hemen hemen aynı yetenekte biri vardır yani. Neyse sağlık olsun artık.

It has been not much time since the Memphis - Brooklyn game started. Ja Morant is not able to play due to knee injury indeed. He is a big loss for Memphis here of course and I don't see their chance too high against Nets in this game. For Brooklyn, Irving and Durant both are playing now and I expect them to carry their team to the victory undoubtedly. I wonder especially about Irving's performance. Because he has been amazing for some time and had huge performances in several games. His 60-point performance in a game was incredible for example.

Manchester City and Liverpool are capable of handling both of the tournaments indeed. Each one of them is among the top European clubs right now. And at this level, they should be dealing with such situations nicely. And it is still very hard to predict the champion team of this season. Liverpool's recent effort has been much more impressive than Manchester City's. Because Manchester City lost points in many simple games lately. Liverpool seem to be more credible team for now but the truth is they are still one point behind Manchester City. This is a valuable advantage for Manchester City as long as they keep it that way.

Milan players must be very motivated and focused right now. Because they have never been this close to the Serie A championship for so many years. As far as I know, it has been more than ten years since they last won the league championship. And this is their biggest chance to make it for certain. They weren't this much good last season because Inter pulled away from them very early. But this time seems to be very different. I'm impressed by their great effort so far and we will see if they will end it by getting the title.

Ligin sonraki haftasında Barcelona Camp Nou'da Sevilla'ya karşı oynayacak. Bu maç ikincilik mücadelesi açısından büyük önem taşıyor net bir şekilde. Barcelona şu an 1 maç eksiği bulunmasına rağmen Sevilla'nın sadece 3 puan gerisinde. Ama bu maçı kazanması durumunda puanlar eşitlenecek olsa da Barcelona ikincilik koltuğuna oturacak. Çünkü La Liga'da öncelik aralarındaki maçlara veriliyor ve ilk maçları 1-1 bitmişti. Barcelona son zamanlardaki aşırı iyi performansıyla zaten bu pozisyonu Sevilla'dan daha çok hak ediyor orası kesin.

After the final results of last week, Barcelona have got much closer to Sevilla in the standings now. The point difference between them is only three points even though Barcelona still haven't played their missing game. And this gives the signals of Barcelona to get past them in the standings sooner or later. There is no way Sevilla are keeping their position against a this much perfect Barcelona in the remaining time period of the season. By the way, these two teams are going to face each other next time in the league in Camp Nou too. It's going to be really interesting. 

Marseille - Nice game was really important for the second position. And I hoped Marseille to win it by a close gap. It was exactly what happened as Marseille defeated Nice by 2-1 in this home game. Now they are three points ahead of Nice in the standings. And Rennes took advantage of their clash too and destroyed Metz by 6-1. And they have taken the third position from Nice too now. It was a really bad week for Nice but I expect this rivalry to go on till the last weeks of the season.

Actually Liverpool and Salah were really close to signing a new deal some time ago. The news about this contract extension was all over the place. But it still hasn't come true. This is bad for him and the team both of course. I'm just hoping this deal to be completed as soon as possible. Liverpool have no option like losing Salah to another team now. And yes, Newcastle are aiming to build a very strong team for next season. They have improved their effort a lot and started climbing in the standings. Staying in the Premier League is the key factor for them now.

I think that Manchester City - Atletico Madrid can be an interesting draw too. Because Atletico Madrid started to improve their performance recently and they are in a lot better condition these days. Their position in the La Liga is not the best for them but their performance there lately has been impressive. And in the Champions League, they are doing a great work too. Manchester City are still the absolute favourite team to advance maybe but they absolutely shouldn't underrate their opponent. In the other case, things can be more difficult for them.

It was another mistake by Dortmund in their Koln game last week. They really don't seem like they want this championship. And they won't get it surely as long as they go on like this. Bayern Munich are having a bad time in the league for the first time and Dortmund captured a serious chance in the meantime. But they are so incapable of making their form better and consistent. And this prevents them from playing bigger for the Bundesliga title still. I think Bayern Munich will definitely win the title after seeing this result.

This week has been beneficial for especially three teams: Milan, Juventus and Roma. Milan defeated Cagliari by 1-0. Napoli didn't lose any point last week maybe but the situation was different for Inter. I was expecting a certain victory for them against Fiorentina but it ended in a 1-1 draw. And this helped Milan a lot to get two more points away from them. And Juventus benefited from Inter's result too as they defeated Salernitana by 2-0. And we see them one point away and right behind Inter. And Roma had a solid game against Lazio as they won by 3-0. They are at the fifth position now.

I think that the qualifiers for the semi-finals are going to be Atalanta, Rangers, Barcelona and West Ham. Atalanta are going to have a really difficult matchup against Leipzig that's a sure thing. But they already eliminated a very difficult opponent like Bayer Leverkusen. It wasn't easy but they won both of the games by one goal each. I think that the first game against Leipzig would end in a draw but Atalanta would win in the second leg. And West Ham can also have a big difficulty against Lyon as they eliminated Porto before this round. But West Ham eliminated one of the favourites of the title which was Sevilla. I think they will do the same to Lyon.
