5181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Full Member and lock for Bounty campaign. on: January 27, 2020, 07:27:40 AM
I recently got a full member’s membership here in the forum and I would like to participate in one of the signature campaigns here in the forum but I have yet to find a good one. Can you show me a good signature campaign that accepts a full member?

First of all congratulations on reaching the Full Member rank. However this only means that your responsibility on this forum has increased and it is now your job to teach the lower rank members and help them in solving problems as much as your knowledge can help.

There are several signature campaigns running which pay in bitcoin which in my opinion is better than any new shitcoin. I suggest you to look in the "Services" board for open campaigns. This you have to do on your own.

Keep in mind that signature are a privilege in this forum. Use it wisely, do some research on what project you are promoting before joining their campaign.
5182  Other / Meta / Re: What did I do wrong with this debate thread? on: January 26, 2020, 01:16:34 PM
Well it looks as if the trick is to start the thread, and wait until it drops to page 2 in the index. Then create a promo thread in Meta to gain some interest.
Meh, pretty much that...sadly nobody realizes that.

I think members of this forum also need to realize that not everyone is tech-oriented but that should not repel them from a certain thread. Sometimes reading replies made by some users can give them an idea of the topic being discussed, even if they may feel bored. Each of us come from a different background and this is normal to happen.
5183  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for Beginners? on: January 26, 2020, 09:09:17 AM
First thing first, stop using 20pt as size. It is an eyesore.

Over the years I've acquired around a few hundred dollars worth of bitcoin. I'm now looking to sell off part of my coins and start trading on the side of what I do personally for work. I was in the bitcoin scene awhile ago but i'm looking to get back into it.
Then why are you looking forward to selling your coins? Bitcoin users have the HODLpolicy unless they are in dire need of money. Have you forgotten your code during this time? Wink
Quote
My question to everyone here is: What are the DOs and DONTs of bitcoin trading? Also any other advice for a beginner would be helpful. I'm new to this site, so i'm sorry if there is already a thread posted about this.
So if you are completely new to trading then dont start with bitcoin trading. Learn how the stock market works first before you move to crypto trading. I feel those those who are stock traders have a higher chance of making money in this market because they know how market psychology works.

Dont get me wrong as a wallstreet broker, I am just trying to make a point. Experience in the market is what I mean to say.

Quote
Also, what are the best sites to use for trading through experience? Complexity doesn't matter to me. Thanks in advance for any help I receive.
There is nothing called "Best" site. They are several sites which are a click away and they all have their own pros and cons. Go for any exchange that allows your local currency and make sure to check it with your local residents to get a better idea. This itself is a topic for another thread.
5184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO legalities in 2020? on: January 26, 2020, 09:01:42 AM
Is the USA the only country like that?
Blanket bans on trading crypto is present in some countries. Check the legality of bitcoin here -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory
Quote
Am I best not to invest in ICO's at all considering I now reside in the USA?
In your best interest, No.

So if a company registered its token with the SEC it would obviously be a sign that its legit considering the steps and huge cost involved with registering not to mention the legal implications?
SEC may change its steps again. They are also evaluating stuff as things go on. But overall the market for ICOs has become a bit less hyped than what it was some time ago, so anyway your risk is high on both side - either the Feds come knocking on your door or you invest in a shitcoin that abandons the project after a few years.

Quote
If a UK company wants to enable USA investors to trade their tokens, they also have to register with the SEC?
That would be a security token if done or just ban USA participants.

Quote
In 2017 all of these ICO's came out with 'utility tokens' without any real utility function. These fake utilities are being targeted also.
Part of the crackdown on fake projects. ICO market is risky business.

Quote
Part 2 of the question: is there any real utility function that the SEC doesn't consider a security?
I dont think we have encountered such a project. Correct me if I am wrong.
5185  Economy / Exchanges / Re: is bitrex exchange cheater on: January 26, 2020, 08:54:10 AM
bitrex banned many countries and freez/disabled accounts why ? we use bitrex  from there starts,is it not cheating with investors and tradars?we was trade and pay high fees,we get no any benefits from bitrex exchange.
I snipped the rest of your post because it is just garbled up nonsense and the above part is the only thing that made sense to me.

You need to use your brain. Bittrex is a company, they have some policies and under the jurisdiction of a government. They are not decentralized but a centralized exchange and hence forced to comply with some anti-money laundering systems.

They may change terms and conditions as necessary. This is not something that will remain constant since start, terms change and you have to move on if their terms are no longer favorable to you. Also dont store coins on exchanges after trades are done. This will minimize losses when the next exchange that you go to freezes accounts.
5186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters let use our brain and get united, PLEASE! on: January 26, 2020, 08:46:18 AM
Meh, Azbit was promoted by the one and only RogVer. What else would you expect from this lying self-proclaimed bitcoin god? He shills his own BCH to get more investors into it lying that it is the first bitcoin and thus deceiving them. I hope the bounty hunters know about these fraudulent people even though nothing serious can be done to stop them.

Thing is that bounty hunters dont care to look into these sections of the forum. They are waiting to spam social media reports and get paid for that. Even if you ask them to use brains they dont seem to have any of it left. Cheesy

But the craze for bounties has reduced for now.
5187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: two gambling games that are players favorite on: January 25, 2020, 07:14:04 AM
learning poker or learning something else in a faster possible way isnt consider as a luck but that is consider that you are smart and attentive because you can easily follow the instructions given on the video or on the book.
It is still possible to learn if you have to willpower to. Poker is a difficult game if you consider the tournament level but for an amature player there is always a good chance for them among other same level players. So it needs practice and discipline. But most gamblers lack these two things. Grin

Quote
learning fast is okay but learning for too long does not mean that a person is low inteligent but what if they are still learning to improve thier skill   ? at the end  ,  poker game is a combination of skill and luck   . if you learn alot , a good chance you can earn more  .
It is an EV+ game so luck is shifted from 100% to a lower percentage and that is covered by skill. But luck can be a winning or losing thing in these games so people should be careful. It is not every gambler's game though. Some are just going in for the rush so they play dice and poker. Some are willing to learn these games and play them.
5188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie and Bounty campaign. on: January 25, 2020, 07:07:47 AM
I'm a newbie in bounty campaign program,
You have to understand that you are a newbie in the forum. Know about the forum before you sell yourself for a couple of shitcoins. I dont get why you all just come here to get paid, dont you all ever get any interest in knowing about bitcoin and its uses?

Quote
recently the two bounty campaign (1strade and Blobflow) I started with ends up not succeeding as the teams in charge says they can't continue with the program,
Get used to it if you want to spend your time here as a bounty hunter.

Quote
So sad (for starting) though because I decided to do the campaign after reading their white paper and a little background check.
It is actually useless to even check them nowadays. You have 1 in a 100 chances of getting a good project to join in and even then there is a risk of forced KYC which is always identity theft.

Quote
So my question is what are those things to be considered aside project white paper before taking up bounty Campaign.
Stop doing bounties. Take part in the forum, learn about bitcoin, gradually grow your account to a decent rank and join a bitcoin paying campaign. Bounty is a waste of time. If you have some skills in development then you might get some odd jobs here for the time being.

Dont expect to come to this forum to get paid for free. Those days are long over.
5189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which is the most trusted wallet for store Altcoins? on: January 25, 2020, 07:03:17 AM
-snip-
Altcoin is not a coin. It is a collective noun used to denote all types of cryptocurrencies that are other than bitcoin. So they all have their "own" separate wallets. You have to use them to store your coins. There is Mist/Metamask for Ethereum, Litcoin Core for LTC and so on.

Some web wallets allow you to store a number of coins which may include bitcoin. But forget about coinbase that is a web wallet and we dont trust them here anymore because you dont have control over private keys if you use them. If you like them controlling your private keys and rely on them in case they get hacked then by all means use them.
5190  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] freebitco.in ? on: January 25, 2020, 06:57:43 AM
the email not come even on spam folder. i message TheQuin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=143168 i wait again for his reply but still i don't get why they block my accounts
They may have a reason for that. It is easy for any person to make up conclusions based on assumptions which are never correct. Calling one of the oldest paying bitcoin faucets to be scam is not acceptable without proof so I suggest you wait for a response from their community manager. You are seeing only your side of the story, and we humans never realize that there is another part of this story which remains unspoken. Wink

If you ask me about their legitimacy then I would always vouch for them. I was a proud winner of the 200$ prize of their 10k number roll of faucet and I was paid in the next round of payments that week. My thread about the win exist here if you are interested to see because this might ease your mind for the time being:

Got 200$ from Freebitcoin today morning, call that a BIG WIN
5191  Local / India / Re: A research of Indian crypto-community on: January 24, 2020, 12:07:31 PM
I'm sorry for posting in English but I don't speak Indian and that is why my task is twice as hard.
There is no language called "Indian". People in this country speak a large number of languages but most of them here understand English. Cheesy

Quote
At this point I want to study Indian crypto-community: active sites, telegram groups, other social networks, may be bloggers that are covering this topic. Plus, Indian exchanges. May be there is data on daily / weekly / monthly trading volumes?
Are you aware that there is a blanket ban from RBI (reserve bank of India) at this point in the trading of cryptocurrencies? There were a number of exchanges before that like Zebpay etc. but they all shut down and/or moved to other countries. They are trying to raise their voice again this ban but that is all for now. Currently I believe people are using p2p sites to buy/sell instead of exchanges.

Quote
As you see, I’ve got lots of questions and it’s pretty hard to find answers without knowledge of Indian language
LOL, read what I wrote above. Grin

Quote
Why am I doing this study? Well, there is a pretty strong project (I won't mention its name for one not to think that I'm promoting it being a newbie on the forum) and I would like to show its developers that Indian market is a blast and their project can storm right in it and everybody will be happy
Good luck on that. If you have any other questions post here, many of the members who are still active here might respond.
5192  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Any info mining pools ? on: January 24, 2020, 12:01:27 PM
If mining pools are real? Or Fack?
LOL, of course there are real mining pools. It is better in those countries were mining is pretty much legal like China and government/Electricity companies does not extort out money for it.

You need to knowledgeable about them from a local community which by my opinion is the best way to join one. But forget about joining one in India because the electricity cost here is will out-weigh the return of investment (ROI). You would have to buy a large number of miners to properly break even with the current market conditions when you sell compared to the hashpower that you buy for. Again you have to replace the miners with increase in hashpower - all in all not something that you do to "generate" money. It is more like a full time thing and definitely not in this climate.

Pools help get over this buying of large number of devices because you "share" the hashpower - but this does not really make a difference, because the bitcoin that you get as block subsidy is still in proportion to the hashpower that you donate.
5193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use betting tips? on: January 24, 2020, 07:21:59 AM
Free tips aren't even better, because we put our money at that risk. while of course premium services, we can see their track record, and at least they provide a guarantee.
Ok but is there a way to verify that they are not faking the track record? I mean it could be a made up one or a real one. So you have to take a risk here.

But honestly, if you are putting your money at risk and you are responsible for your own losses then why depend on someone else to blame when you lose? Use your knowledge to bet and not some third party. All these "premium" services are nothing but gimmicks to fool people who are falling for them because they want to make quick money. This is the bad side of gambling actually. You are being scammed here.

It is actually fun to track games and bet on them on your own but for that you have to be skilled and disciplined - most gamblers lack this. Grin
5194  Economy / Economics / Re: CoinDesk Q4 2019 Review: A Year in Suspended Animation on: January 24, 2020, 07:17:20 AM
This obsession with DeFi is making me think that it will also have the same fate that ICO had. Although I have used services like bitrefill previously and still use them making them too generalized and showing how good they are performing can have both a good and bad effect from governments' eyes.

Good effect: governments allow cryptocurrencies to be used in their state free of any censorship. That would be bullish but chances are low.
Bad effect: governments decide to crack down the DeFi projects and force KYC on its users making some of them to leave the country or some to close shop.

Anyway lets hope for the best and see how disrupting the DeFi projects become in future.
5195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Options is a bit overwhelming for me. Any Suggestions to make it easier? on: January 24, 2020, 07:12:30 AM
Trading options carry a great risk but also bring a lot of profits in a short time. If you are a newcomer and have no knowledge of TA then it is best to learn first instead of participating in trading.
I would not suggest options to newbies, you know. Even if they do TA, I do not trust these options to be completely fair and it is almost always a loss for the trader.

Quote
At Google and some forex forums there is a lot of experience sharing as well as material that you can learn from them. You will then use the demo account at reputable exchanges and test the strategies you have just learned. These are the safest and least risky steps for newbie. You can refer to Tradingview.com
Tradingview is for getting in dept charts. But if you do not know how to make conclusions and decide on buy/sell you will not be using them to their full potential. TA may be dont well on these charts so that is what someone should focus on before directly jumping into trading.

Quote
There you can use many different indicators and also have VIP members sharing their daily comments for your reference.
What reasons do you have to accept the views of these "VIP" members to be legitimate? It is a gamble when you are predicting prices and they also have a 50-50 chance to predict properly. It is always good to not listen to comments from others on a speculative market.
5196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Music streaming services which accept crypto? on: January 24, 2020, 07:01:49 AM
As far as I know there have not been any crypto-payment streaming services yet which have made a good name for themselves. There is a project called Viberate whose ICO signature campaign I was a participant in and I am following them on telegram. But that is more for app development for a app to locate concerts and gigs.

You have to understand that with crypto users using piracy is the more important method. The users here are rarely going to pay for movies or music. They are likely to pirate it. So forget about paying which very few will, like Spotify in UK is popular with users here from UK.

But I expect bitcoin users are more of the p2p file sharing OGs out there.
5197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Air, Water, Bitcoin on: January 23, 2020, 03:15:26 PM
Without air and water life no worka.
Hate to break it, but it is irrelevant here.

Quote
Past human history is checkered with currency manipulation and conflict..
It is true that bitcoin was created keeping in mind that central institutions control the monetary balance which needs to be changed. But you never know that OTC deals being made manipulates the market to what extent. Though it prevents corruption, but the corrupted officials would not use it at all

Quote
Enter a new element for humanity; trustless p2p currency, globally decentralized
It is not comparable to air, water - that analogy. Those are necessities to sustain life. Money is not whatever form it may be.

Quote
Something humanity has been craving since the dawn of human history.
No. They were craving for women. Cheesy
5198  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trading on BigOne on: January 23, 2020, 05:44:17 AM
I'm not buying any of this cause just this month 3 newbies have also posted their "good experience", I wouldn't call that a coincidence.
Agreed, it is some sort of propaganda spamming on forums going on with this exchange. Maybe the account holders are getting paid for this or not but it is shady and thus for me the OP should feel sad because I have put this exchange on a "Redzone" and will tell my friends about the same too and to avoid them.

Hope that is a good blow on their black PR methods and unethical marketing. Seriously these fools think that spamming forums with idiotic threads make them look smart.
5199  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Alert: Stay away from this! on: January 23, 2020, 05:41:28 AM
If someone thinks that sending money to an unknown person on the internet and they will send back 10x of that amount then they are a fool. And a fool and their gold part quickly. This is the reason why such scams exist and people still fall for them because of the hope for being rich blinds their judgement.

You can post in as many forums as you want but people rarely come to a forum to become knowledgeable about such things. It would be good if they used their logic but that has been blunted out since a long time. No wonder tech scammers make a good living than whitehat hackers.
