521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP - Ripple Currently being sued for 1 BILLION? on: September 11, 2017, 02:27:06 PM

Ripple is currently being sued by R3, which is the creator of "Corda", because their contract has been wrongfully terminated.

"In September 2016, the two companies entered an agreement giving R3 the right to purchase up to 5 billion XRPs for $0.0085 per unit until September 2019, according to a lawsuit filed by R3 in the Delaware Chancery Court on Friday. "

Which is calculated,

0.20$ a share x 5 billion = 1Billion$, with a profit of 1B$ - 42.5Million$ (0.0085$ a share x 5 billion) = 957.5 million dollars pure profit.

How is this going to affect XRP?

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-r3-ripple-lawsuit/u-s-blockchain-startups-r3-and-ripple-in-legal-battle-idUSKCN1BJ27I?il=0

It's really simple:
5bil (owned to R3) / 38.34bil (total supply) = 13%
So in worst case, we can expect 13% price fall, or 0% if lawsuit fails.
If we assume chance of lawsuit succeeding is 75%, then we can expected (13% * 0.75 + 0% * 0.25) = 9.75% price fall.

Your mathematics is genius Cheesy, had a good laugh Cheesy.
13% thrown in the market at once will crash it to 1 satoshi.

Also, how about a nice conspiracy theory? What if behind R3 are also Ripple's creators, and they do it on purpose for nice exit scam? Or what if they intentionally broke the contracts conditions in order to exit with millions/billions?
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To Many SCAM! on: September 11, 2017, 09:23:38 AM
I have often invested in ICO, but too many SCAMs in the ICO world, especially now ICO is like dust grains. Let's discuss for a good ICO and not a scam, so we can enjoy the investment results

Welcome to the crypto world where everything is fake and most are scammers.

As of now, I don't know any good ICO, the only one that draw attention to me is Maecenas with Pantera Capital investing a huge load of money in it. I am not sure about it but I think it may return good money.

Please, do not buy ANY ICO, ICO = scammy distribution model. Buy it only if there is a legit company with real developers, known for their past work, only if they are accountable and with proper authorizations from financial authorities. Otherwise you will be scammed.

After masses of fakenews & accusations without evidences are the conspiracy theories stepping in now. Thank you vanillagalaxy for lighting the next stage...

There is an extremely high number of shills (yet again) and shitposter such as the one below me.

Many people have heard Deepcoin is scam. But when this time i am really shocked because this ico was my dream. But now proven this coin is scam from understand your evidence.
Your statement makes you look like an utter baboon. Actually, a baboon could probably form a more constructive post than that. Roll Eyes

OP, consider locking this thread and starting a self-moderated one with an updated compilation of evidence in the first post.

That post would be empty since there wasn't any evidence posted yet.

This is indeed genius - promoting/selling your favorite coin on uncertainty, fear and possible worst case scenarios. Well done, Vlad2Vlad,  seriously, no pun intended.

Thanks.  lol

I attack every angle I see and I try be honest and forthright about it.  I'm trying to offer the best solution and Not looking for a pump and dump.

I know that, that's why I read with interest your comments, they are unique, something very rare here. Wink
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Allow Me to Shill About Cofound.it on: September 08, 2017, 07:58:21 AM
Lets wait and see, I really hope you are right.

Later Edit: Small advice, even if all this is not legit, it will create a huge demand so a nice trade idea is to buy now some CFI and sell in 1-4 weeks. I think a minimum 25% can be gained.

I am out of CFI now, +24% gain, bought at 0.15$(0.00003600 btc) sold it at 0.19$ (0.000040 btc).

527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hold, Hold, and Hold? on: September 08, 2017, 07:22:24 AM
Yes, hold.

I trade only in percentages of one coin to another, never sell it off. Also I don't hold any non-minable, premined shitcoin.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with the big amount of possible upcoming scam ico's in future? on: September 08, 2017, 06:32:48 AM
This is very good for people who are interested in ico and trading. But this is very unlikely when who are not sure which ico project will scam or shittcoin. If denouncing a project without proof is false.

The main problem is that it is almost impossible to know from the beginning if a ico is scam or not, usually the scam is relieved months after they ico.

Some thoughts about this:

If there is a new project and devs/OP looking for 30 - 100 mio market cap, I ask my self who would possible need that much money to get a business/project running? There might be few out there introducing complex, new technologies based projects that "really" require big funds but no1 can tell me that 80% of the 800+  needs 30+ mio to do something. That seems insane to me. Some projects collecting even more 100 - 200 mio. and there is literary nothing behind the project. Some are just copy/paste with slight adaptions that do not even require more than 2 devs in best case and the real " value" will never exist as its real purpose will be just to trade/gamble the coin.

For what is that much money needed? Ask that question yourself before investing in any ico asking more than 30+ mio.

There are some ways of knowing surely.

If an ICO is coming from a real company and the project is already at an advanced stage, then it will almost never be a scam. I don't just mean any registered company, but one that actually generates serious revenues and profits. Because then the company has too much to lose by running a bad ICO.

Our company is LakeBTC: we're a major crypto-exchange (we trade 10s of millions of dollars each day). There's no way we'd risk the reputation of the LakeBTC exchange by running a scam ICO.

If you’d like to know more, check out our ANN thread and formal whitepaper

Give it a brake!

Ironic for you to ask for brakes when you admited you will make an ICO. Wink
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -- The Riddle of the Twin Brothers - Who Were, Are and Will Rule the World! on: September 08, 2017, 06:24:59 AM
Look at the price of alts now!
China just banned ICOs and everyone goes crazy dumping their coins.
Is this the end of ICOs?

No i disagree, ICOs will never be gone, even if the majority will go away new ones will come. So don't worry

The problem with ICO's is that eventually only one currency will rule them all.  So they can't keep coming unless they morph into something like shares of a corporation.

Once this crypto war is over the winner (the real Bitcoin) will completely take over and then your only other chance will be an alt which will be used as a sidechain.  I would focus on the older coins as the best chances for a sidechain winner, like IX or I0.

As for the "real" Bitcoin that will emerge from this war and run past $500k...

Follow the star...

Well, this escalated quickly.

Quote
Let's push DO beside for a moment.

You guys are trading.
Right?
Sure you do...

Means:
Buying as cheap as possible and selling as expensive as possible.
Right?

Who is buying your coins?
Who is giving you all that money, so your wealth can grow?

People who are loosing money!

So shut up.
Insincere rabble...

Anyway McWorse, comparing Deep Onion scam with trade is just another level of insanity. I just don't get it, do you really think there are retards that will believe such a retarded post? Really?
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: September 06, 2017, 12:50:51 PM
The whole point of cryptocurrencies is to be a currency. DeepOnion appears to succeed in doing so i.e. it's already in an exchange being actively traded.
Deep onion isn't taking money from anyone, their air drops are free.
I don't see how they are scamming?

There are people who bought DO, not only you shills spamming with the signature. And those bought it just because all you spammed all over bitcointalk.
532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: many ICO altcoin , What can be trusted? on: September 06, 2017, 11:10:45 AM
ICO = scammy distribution

Not 1 ICO till today delivered their claims.

Stay away from any ICO, this is not about crypto, this is about scams.

Do you have experience with investing, you're commenting awfully a lot about crypto being a scam. Definitely, be my guest and stay away as I'm investing!

Not all ICO are scam, many of them really good project and become successful. Only a few ICOs are scam. Its batter to investigate a bit before investing in an ICO. And if you get a right ICO for investment it will earn you some good profit. If you are worried about scam and losing money then do not invest in any ICO, buy some coins which are already listed on exchanges.
What is your think about an ICO project scam or real? I think we always confirm an ICO project is real when it can listed on big exchange or small exchange but the value of it can increase fast in short time. Do you think grow fast in short time is good with the growth of ICO?

I suggest you either visit the company's office launching the ICO or ask a friend who lives in that town to visit it. If you can do that, you can invest in that ICO, or IPO, as a matter of fact.

Otherwise, just stay away, 100% is a scam. Anyone asking you for money needs to be accountable and to respond in front of the law if they mess it up.
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: September 06, 2017, 11:05:00 AM

Free coins are free, if they're worth nothing, that's fine too, I didn't pay for them.

You did pay with your time, posts, attention, registering, spreading fake news, supporting a scam coin.

Some people have pride and rather use their time to make real money.

When DeepOnion is at 0.01$ you will see you should have gotten a job at mcdonalds instead of working for deeponion, and you now would have enough money to buy some real coins.
First of all that while i am spending some of my time in promoting onion i am also earning....
Second, if i am indeed spreading fake news at least i am using my real account. Unlike someone who wanted criticize onion but cannot reveal his true identity and even has to make new account just to post against onion.
And yes i have seen onion worth 0.01 usd but it was 2 months ago and i believe it wont go to that price again.
Have a good day.

You registered on 12 July 2017, you've seen it at 0.01 usd before registering here, 2 months ago, on 6 of June,  so you are either one of the scammers themselves or are doing exactly what you criticize - making a new account just to shill for DO scam.

Go f**k yourself.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: September 06, 2017, 09:02:33 AM
DO is worthless.

I wouldnīt even consider to register to that weird exchange itīs listed on.
The site is poorly programmed, laggy as fuck and lists a shit ton of coins no one ever heard off.

Maybe even the exchange is scam as well.
Before I consider to open an account on their hp, I can sell my data right away, itīs less complicated.

Letīs talk if DO is listed on a real exchange, I mean look at the trading volume, pathetic.

I mean even bluedude who also participates in DO wrote abot novaexchange:

"Looks like they have deleted all the accounts. so that they dont have to pay any outstanding balances.
no history -- no payment
Trade with CAUTION!!! You are warned."

So not only DO is a scam, the exchange might be one as well.
I canīt even believe the stupidity thats going on.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1440340.140

I think the stupidity is caused by the devs themselves - all the comments here and there are payed, the best shills get their money in BTC directly, not in DO. IMHO.

make your own mind up. if you like it join us, if not move on. ask yourself if you were a russian scammer, would you choose the username crypto-rainbow? no, you would probably choose red scamski or something like that. crypto-rainbow sounds asian to me

Okay, now your comment, this comment, sounds exactly Russian to me.

What makes you think the news about Pantera Capital isn't legit?  How could Maecenas be so stupid to make up fake news like that?  They could get sued and it wouldn't be good PR from their part.

When it comes to money and investment, my skepticism works this way - everything is wrong until proved right, , please don't take it too close or personal, it is how it is Smiley .

After my yesterday's comment, I bought with 10% of my BCH, CFI. I am up 20%, waiting one week to sell it. I believe it will rise more.
537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with the big amount of possible upcoming scam ico's in future? on: September 05, 2017, 09:19:36 AM
99% all scam. SEC tweeting that they are scams, even china banning ico because they are scams

We should not generalize too much, we need to "Separate the spread from the wheat" some mechanisms need to come up...

I am curious when and what ICO you will start promoting soon. Smiley

Anyway, if investors are not protected by any law, if the developers are not accountable for their work then you know for sure it's scam.

When I will see a real company, visited by real people, with proper authorization from financial institutions, in ALL the countries they sell their ICO, then I will admit that is not a scam and I will invest in it!

Until then, all ICO's are scam until proven legit.

540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with the big amount of possible upcoming scam ico's in future? on: September 05, 2017, 05:09:29 AM
I have a pretty simple strategy of investing in an ICO at the end of it either in the last three days or a week. As it saves me from getting scammed as till the end of the ICO it gets cleared that the project is a scam or not by the amount of funds invested in it.

Biggest scams in history lived for decades with billions invested. Wink

You know that I agree on the scam problematic, but not every alt coin project or new launched ico is necessarily a scam.

Nope. ICO = scam

IPO's are not necessarily scam cause they are well regulated, with real persons and real companies with real product, working already at the day of the IPO offering.

ICO = scam, no company, no people, no address, no demand and no jail when they scam. That's why they scam, why launch a product if you already got the money?
Just make another ICO!
