Yea, especially now as there are projects like Arbidex around. Those who could've been interested in STeX don't know about their plans and are blown away by those other projects although STeX came out first with their idea. The same money can't be spent twice, right.

hello stex team. i have participated in the translation bounty from last year and i have some stex tokens in MEW. i cant seem to find the deposit address for stex in https://stocks.exchange
can anyone point me to how i can trade my stex tokens there? thank you

What are you talking about? stocks.exchange is another project, you will find all informations about STeX on their homepage: https://www.stex.exchange/

i looked at cmc and saw that stex is listed only on stocks.exchange https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/stex/#markets

The STeX Token (token symbol STE) will first be listed on the STeX Exchange. Since STeX Exchange isn't live yet, the STE tokens aren't listed anywhere.
Please check the following contract address 0xeba49ddea9f59f0a80ecbb1fb7a585ce0bfe5a5e. It's 'STeX Exchange ICO'

Update:

The first round (PreICO) raised an astounding 15.000 ETH and was sold-out rapidly, I made several posts about it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2071543.msg25426318#msg25426318

Such results were achieved without conducting a bounty program? It's amazing. Tell me the ETH address of the wallet on which the money was collected?

Here is the old ETH address (PreICO): https://etherscan.io/txs?a=0xae5652ea226bfae00b8d542e58231362af836fda&p=70

Could you please clarify whether you are a community manager or a bounty manager? Or maybe you are a member of the team?
I'm a devoted community member. I talked to the STeX team about the thread and they were glad for the help. I try to help as much as I can, as time permits.

How many tokens were sold in the first round?

The first round (PreICO) raised an astounding 15.000 ETH and was sold-out rapidly, I made several posts about it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2071543.msg25426318#msg25426318

So, the cap is more than reached. I'd figure that they need to change the valuation to ETH and abandon fiat. That's a huge problem for many ICOs during that time as ETH was worth ~$300

At the current rate, we're roughly at $22,500,000 (PreICO+ICO). So it's basically +50% compared to the softcap. Are you still worried Cheesy ?
529  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Re: ledger nano s on: January 30, 2018, 03:47:14 PM

Delisting is making mainly due to the fight against the scam, and not because of small amounts of trade. I agree that a lot of new coins are scattered on many different exchanges - the total capitalization of token is normal, but liquidity on each individual exchange is small.

What's important is that exchanges are making a certain volume a requirement for new coins/tokens. Therefore new projects need to address this issue, else their asset doesn't get listed and exchanges require a deposit isn't returned if the contract isn't kept.
STeX can profit from this.

Unsold Tokens will be burned at the end of the ICO with the percentage of the burned tokens being transferred to all other Token allocations.

Can you say as of how high the ratio will be? The distribution, I mean. Is there a special purpose to distribute part of the unsold tokens?
533  Other / Meta / Re: Merits should be given for the lower ranks only. on: January 30, 2018, 11:23:48 AM
dude, you have been given 52 merits in a week.. you cant be a shitposter..  so you are cool and gravy. Activity will be the only limiting factor for you, so just go about your day as usual. IMO theymos will end up increasing the sMerits given to sources every month x5 and increase the total number of sources x5 then there will be a fair distribution,  Until then there is likely to be a big lag and lots of moaning posts

Yes, I try to do useful posts as shitposting serves no purpose + it wastes my time as well. I didn't shitpost before those new rules and I certainly won't start now, but I'm not sure if everything is gravy, as you phrased it. I already had several situations where I thought about how I could get more Merit.
Just an example. Early on, I made a German infographic for the local forum. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818999.msg29007624#msg29007624).
I posted it in the main Merit-thread (not pinned at that time) as I thought that it would add value and answer many questions that came up. I wrote OP that he could use it in his post. He got 50 Merit, I got 10 so far.
I thought about creating a new thread, modifying it a bit so that it wouldn't be a copy of his. That way, I would have gotten more Merits for sure, but decided against it, because I hate redundant threads myself.

My point here is: I don't like the way the new system lets us compete. Why wasn't the x5 of merit sources and spendable sMerit introduced in the first place? Why only give the minimum of Merit needed for the Rank and not doing a proportional distribution (activity >> merit)?

You yourself said that there will be a lag and lots of moaning posts. This could have been partially avoided. Now people will moan and they have reasons. It's just sad to see so many higher-ranking members who are annoyed by these posts instead of showing sympathy, they simply don't need to face the same situation. Patronizing behavior doesn't serve anyone (not saying you are doing it).

But sure, I will go about as usual and I hope that the increase in distributed sMerit will happen sooner rather than later as it is much needed so that we can forget about all this drama and continue with the reason we are all here for - crypto.
534  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Neues Forum Ranking System / Merit System (FAQ) - Was denkt ihr? on: January 30, 2018, 10:45:49 AM

535  Other / Meta / Re: Merits should be given for the lower ranks only. on: January 30, 2018, 10:28:46 AM

newbies have not been given merit as there are so many farmers out there, how will that help the system? think of it like a champagne pyramid, the merit will get to the bottom eventually. Some of us are pouring it at all levels, others like Lauda will not give to anyone they do not know or deal with, but the main point is that it will trickle down in time.

I totally get what you are saying here. But that's not the point of all those posts many lower-ranking Members are creating in the last days. Sure, some try to get or 'farm' Merit but many refer to the highly subjective nature of the new system. The old one was objective and fair: more posts = higher rank over time. I understand why this leads to spam and I support measures that put an end to spam in the forum. But please understand that 'it will trickle down in time' is like your boss saying, 'sure, you did a good job, but I can't pay all of you. But be assured, you'll be paid eventually.'

As long as there is money involved, being able to distribute sMerit is a form of power and if this power is distributed subjectively, people will always feel left out. That's just the way things are. It doesn't help when Members who have this power (and tend to give it to their own more freely) say that everything is fine. Sure, it is a new rule and can't be changed, so people better get used to it, but it's not 'fine'.

I hope you don't get me wrong here. I accepted the new rules - obviously, otherwise I could just leave - and I try to adapt. But I keep seeing higher-ranking Members who try to argue that everything is ok and that it will sort itself out eventually. People have to accept the new system but you can't will it a fair system by repeating that everything is ok  Wink

537  Other / Meta / Re: Merits should be given for the lower ranks only. on: January 30, 2018, 09:45:58 AM
Why would I give random spammers any merit? E.g., this thread is a nice example of attempted, yet failed, quality posting.

That's a bit harsh to say, don't you think? People try to cope with this new situation and it's only natural that different people have different ideas and views. He just expressed his.

As I understood it, he maybe meant to exclude those higher ranks from the necessity of getting Merits in the first place while at the same time grant them the function of a merit source. You can't deny that higher ranks often get a higher amount of merit compared to lower ranks - sometimes without even having made a 'quality post'. That's no problem per se - at least for me - but people observe this and voice their concern. This will fade in time but for now, it's something that will be discussed in the forum and people will try to come up with a 'better' way - at least in their eyes.
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] STeX Exchange - 1st aggregator and 10000 cross-rates on one platform on: January 30, 2018, 09:29:36 AM
If all conditions are favorable, then Stex can become a kind of aggregator of exchanges. This will be a very big achievement, since if you summarize the trading volumes on several small exchanges, you will get a huge amount.

I'd also think that volume is key here. There are more and more exchanges with a ridiculously low volume in trading pairs. This is bad for a trader but also bad for the exchange itself. coins with a low volume cost money to maintain. Every coin/token that is supported by exchange needs to be maintained. That's why almost all exchanges set certain volume goals for a project on application. If they are not met, the asset gets delisted. That's also why you see so many contests after an asset hits an exchange - volume.

It could also be interesting for projects to cooperate with STeX and to utilize the liquidity pool in exchange for giving STeX a certain amount of their asset. There are so many beneficial possibilities, I love this project and can't wait for the launch.

It turns out that a significant part of the tokens will be frozen for a long time. Will this create problems with liquidity? Will the remaining tokens be enough to support it?

Frozen tokens is no problem for the liquidity pool, as e.g. possible private placements that are locked already paid in ETH that is now used for the liquidity pool. The tokens that are locked either because they are from founders or bounty participants only have an impact on the token price, which in turn doesn't affect the liquidity pool either.

Simple example:

  • Token price: 1 SUB/ETH
  • Token prive: 0.5 SUB/ETH

If someone wants to buy SUB and his budget is 2 ETH, then he gets either 2 or 4 SUB. In both cases, 2 ETH are added to the liquidity pool  Cool
