In wallet trading could really make some difference for DNR.

What is the point of mining this coin with such a low reward and price?
Maybe I do not know what?

See total supply and you will get answer to your question.

524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: March 02, 2018, 07:30:56 AM
Good question is if this new 2080Ti will be much more expensive than 1080Ti currently is at the moment.
If they implement 16GB  memory chips on this new cards we can expect significant increase in price.

525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ### A ChainWorks Industries (CWI) Project - SweepStakeCoin | Fast Fun Secure on: March 02, 2018, 07:18:43 AM
Are there any exchanges that are going to list SWEEP? To sell / buy coins at this time is there only the group discord?

That discord group also is NOT our official one.

Though again they seem to be doing reasonably well with their functionality and running of the group.

We do NOT endorse them nor back them, as the official groups so far are CWI-Slack and soon CWI-Skype.

You will need to understand that all these groups you are using and function with (especially trade) are at your own risk.

This is not to say that they are doing a bad job, it is just that we are not involved with ANY of these groups currently.

#crysx

Thank you for the information, lot of people have joined the group, so far they have drooped some coins to new members and that is good to actually expand pool of people that hold SWEEP in their wallets.

Maybe we can expect to come back on NOVAExchange?, they have stated few days ago that they will continue to work.

526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS B250 Mining Expert MB - 19 Cards! on: March 02, 2018, 07:11:41 AM
Case:

Can I connect psu to port1 on mb and give power to gpu and riser that "belongs" to port 2 on mb?

I would not experiment, if you can avoid that kind of stuff just go with school examples.
It should work because two PSU should be on same voltage potential but you never know what could happen if one PSU fails.

528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you investing in Bitcoin? on: March 01, 2018, 10:15:30 AM
So my question is.
Are you investing into Bitcoin purely as a investment?
Or are you investing because you believe in Bitcoin and the technology?
Back when Bitcoin started i feel people invested, because there believed in it, and wanted to see it change the world.
Now days i feel people only look at it as a way to make money, and don't really care about the future of it.
Whats peoples thoughts?

"Believe in" and "invest" are terms with strong connection, who would invest something (money or time) in something that he doesn't believe to be success >> that would be bad investment.

Good question would be do you believe that blockchain technology could change the world and be mayor step-up for different implementation in medicine, IT, marketing, financial sector....

529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: March 01, 2018, 07:51:25 AM
Regardless of the airfork, ETC is more important than anything! Some people are believing prices may rise, but hardly the reason will be for the Callisto Airdrop! Prices will hardly fluctuate either for a strong appreciation or a steep fall, the slowness in the evolution of ETC prices is constant!

I agree that rise of the price will not be due to Calisto, but still good to have promotion like that because like i said before this coin has been in the shadows for very long time.

Also keep in mind that lot of people still doesn't know that ETC is actually original and not the other way around.

530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ### A ChainWorks Industries (CWI) Project - InfluxCoin | INFX on: March 01, 2018, 07:46:42 AM
What exactly the fuck is going on with this coin, really??  Roll Eyes

On one hand it appears all dead and buried, even the website doesn't exist. Yet on coinmarketcap, it is showing a whopping gain of over 300% today. And even more confusing is the price variation among the exchanges. On Bittrex & Cryptopia, it's being traded around $0.27 while on YoBit it is going for $3.23, WTF Huh?   Shocked

You know how exchanges works?
The more BUY orders come in, price goes up, without high volumes price can easily go high in a moment on one exchanges while at the same time on the other exchange  without BUY orders price stagnates.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HUSH Secure Private Messaging and Transactions [Equihash] on: March 01, 2018, 07:28:40 AM
Im filling my bag with HUSH as they are dirt cheap at this moment...

I havent expexted that price will go this low, but ok more coins for me Wink

I agree, on twitter there are lot of news about HUSH but on forum not so much.
We need some kind of PR team for this coin because it seems that keeping people in the loop keeps price on the move and lack of information discourage people of buying.

532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: February 27, 2018, 01:34:25 PM
I waited all day to get airdrop yesterday, sadly it did not happen. I had over 1 BTX on account and have registered wallet, is there anything that can be done to avoid this situation next week? or should I contact someone?.

Did you check you registered wallet address with the blockexplorer? http://insight.bitcore.cc/
How much BTX are shown there?

oh did not expect this, yeah the adress I put in Airdrop had 0 BTX, but the adress I recieved money had 1 BTX, so I messed up - I thought it didnt matter what adress I put in. anyway thx for clarifying ! Smiley

How would they know your other addresses? They are random and no way to know one from another address. All addresses are independent. Make sure you backup your wallet file every time you send or receive coins or you will lose them if you restore from an old wallet.dat backup.

So you are saying that we must backup our wallets after every airdrop that we get in our wallets?
That seems strange because if I use/reuse same address for every transactions I should be good with just one backup of my wallet no matter when I backed-up my wallet file.

The most important is to have control over your private key.

Ok, but do you know if any of this IOS wallets actually support exporting private keys?
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 27, 2018, 10:33:21 AM
2 more days and I'll have one of the best (if not the best) 1080Ti ! The EVGA FTW3 which cost me 950€.

For now I'll stick it into my secondary slot and use this beast solely for mining. After VIVE PRO is released I'll use the 1080Ti 20% for VR gaming and 80% for mining.

As for the new cards, I wouldn't expect them anytime before December. Right now Nvidia has no competition in the gaming sector and they don't seem to mind that much for the 1st place in mining. So why would they release a new card if AMD does not? Just to compete with themselves? I believe their best option would be to lay low until sales slow down.
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme is defenetly better and faster.
i own one of that. its surely a beast compared to rest all of the 1080ti aftermarket solutions. easy stable at 2050-2088mhz core.

LoL my ROG STRIX-GTX1080-A8G-GAMING does 2050mhz stable core clock.

I Don't see any MSI card on your list guys, Gaming X or Trio Edition?

I need recommendation for IOS Wallet to be prepared for Calisto fork

What app do you suggest for me to use, this is official list from ETC website

Is anyone else having issues with the new 2.0 wallet being extremely slow?  For me, it's slow to respond to clicks and constantly goes into "not responding" mode on Windows.

For me it's working normal, just checked for CPU usage and it's stays at "0 CPU usage" but my wallet is already synced.
Don't know what CPU usage was at the moment of syncing.

can you please tell me if the update to the newer version of wallet is a mandatory action?
or it can be ignored?
cause it will convert blockchain or something like that? can I skip it and be on the old version?

It's not mandatory, but If you upgrade to new version, then you cannot go back to the old one without resync.

Downgrading warning
The chainstate database for this release is not compatible with previous
releases, so if you run 0.15 and then decide to switch back to any
older version, you will need to run the old release with the -reindex-chainstate
option to rebuild the chainstate data structures in the old format.

538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: February 26, 2018, 08:17:28 AM
Just another Bitcoin fork with applied changes made by someone else. The Zero knowledge whitepaper it's based upon was made by the ZEC (Zcash) team (university professors) which didn't even use it for their own coin (ZEC) and went on instead of using ZkSnarks. So this Thai kid just forks BTC, uses their research and creates Zcoin. It's nothing special, won't ever see a wider adoption. ATM bunch of the coins are locked up in Znodes (masternodes which require 1000 coins) and the parasites are waiting on the miners to mine blocks so they can get the divident of 15 coins.

It used to reward like 40 coins per mine block (50 coins in a block) but after the masternodes went live in december 2017, it now awards 28 coins per block to the miners. The breakdown in the past was:
- 40 miners + 10 devs
Now it's:
- 28 miners + 15 znodes parasites + 7 devs per block.

I would seriously recommend anyone to steer clear of this failed project. The Lyra2Z algo is good, light on the cards (~40-60C), but this coin and it's circus management team have drove it to the bottom, and I'm pretty sure apart from botnets, soon, nobody will mine it.

Profitability of this coin is worse than anything else. 99% of the hashing power is at only one pool (mining pool hub) where botnets account for like 85% of the hashing power. So with 8 x 1080ti and some change (multicore cpus, some 1050tis etc) I make barely 0.5 Zcoin per day ($26).

On their official chat (Telegram) - the users say: "We don't need miners, they are not loyal etc" - because the chat is filled with Znode (masternode) parasites who don't care if botnets provide the hashing power as long as they get their 15-30 coins per month without any effort (these people bought the coins when the value was like $1 or less per coin and now live off the dividents.)..

Unless the botnets are banned at MPH, this coin is worthless to smalltime miners.

It seems you are angry for some reason on them?

You have accused them of steeling and make it sound so simple to create coin. >> If that  is so simple then there would be a lot more forks and all of them would be worth 50 USD.

There will always be someone willing to mine....

Also keep in mind that masternodes are something that most coins have these days and you can expect more and more coins will go on  that path.

Will there be wider adoption? I don't know, nobody knows so it's not fair to say that kind of stuff like you have magic crystal ball.

539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 26, 2018, 08:01:54 AM
Hey all, I got a small mining setup (since mid Jan.) with 2 GPUs running DSTM. The MSI card (90% pwr) runs fine with no problem. Recently I begin to notice that the EVGA card is getting less and less stable unless I dial down the OC setting. Initially, I was running stable (24 hours+ up time) +120 core and +300 mem at 90% power and getting ~750 Sols/s but in the past week DSTM starts to crash and I would have to gradually reduce the OC setting for the EVGA card for it to run stable. I go back and forth on it in the past week battling with this card and now I can only reach stable mining at 90% with no OC at all (670 Sol/s). DSTM would crash immediately if I try to use the stock card setting.

Currently, the stable clock is ~1740 / 5000 mem (no OC at 90%)

Things I tried: -DDU and install fresh driver. -Fresh windows install. -Swap risers (bought a 6-pack) and switch between the PCIEX slots. -Using only the EVGA card (on riser or directly on MOBO). -Tried nicehash, EWBF, and bminer. None of these helped.

Any suggestions on what could be the problem? Any help appreciated! Thanks in advance!

~~~~~~~~~
OS: Windows 10 GPU: 1x EVGA 1080ti SC black. 1x MSI 1080ti gaming
PSU: EVGA 750 G3
Open air, using mobo graphic for display. Using MSI Afterburner. Both card temperature kept at mid 50s. Powering the risers using 6-pin directly connected to PSU.
You tried all I could think of:
To change PCI-e slots, and use it without risers
Swap Risers
Standalone Card without any other cards on the rig
Have you tried to change PCI-e cable that goes from PSU to card? Also try to change position of PCI-e cable on the PSU to different slot?
