522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoRush......whats going on? on: April 14, 2014, 09:28:24 AM
Seeing as I must have around 0.1 BTC in various crapcoins on CryptoRush:
https://cryptorush.in/

Are they still alive ? Will I ever see my CypherFunks ever again ?

I haven't been able to log in for the last 24 hours or so......

They are claiming to be in maintenance.Keep a lookout at their twitter posts.
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [User Voice][66 Coin] Change Algorithm on: April 14, 2014, 09:24:48 AM
I think what this coin need is to provide some real services or goods, it should be useable somehow, that is where the value comes from, (eg. in connection with route 66 there is all sorts of goods and services which could be traded with 66) but there was no attempt to even try so far, succes is not coming from exchanges

and if youre gonna change the algorithm I would say change from POW to POS and there will be no need for complicated changes with pools or miners, and the coin should be harder to collect so the price should rise a bit

smokey hasnt been smoking... sounds like a sober statement..
i think he's got a point. algo changing wont really do much im thinking..
only frustrate the people who have to change there software and wallets  (again-no offense)
but would make it scrypt asic resistant.. thats a good thing
this POS thing would be a nice addition? makes it a lil more "hard to get" and interesting. i personally like the idea of these hybrids.(but thats me)
and maybe the coin should be connected to something like smokey said.. like route 66 goodies and collectables or games ..(or something i dunno)
even if u blog tweet fb or something now.. people see the coin but cant do anything with it but trade for btc... so they will go for most profitable easy to mine coin.
u can pump up the price in exchanges but this doesnt mean people will give the coin the same value as we think it should be.
gotta make it seem "different and better" as all the other coins somehow.
this is not done by changing algo rythm.

cheers

525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / [WTS] 4 million NYC on: April 14, 2014, 09:01:33 AM
I am looking to sell 4 million New York Coins at 1 satoshi each.Pm me with offers.
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (NYC) New York Coin Foundation - NewYorkCoin on: April 14, 2014, 08:56:56 AM
Main NYC mining pool (nyc.coinsprofit.com) has been under HACKER ATTACK since last night. The pool will be ddos protected and back up and running very shortly.

Now you MUST ask yourself WHY would anyone hack a new, thinly traded alt coin??? They MUST see value in NewYorkCoin.

I've never heard of a new alt-coin falling under hacker attack. THIS IS VERY GOOD NEWS FOR NewYorkCoin!!!

Somebody sees the future value of [NYC] NewYorkCoin. They see NewYorkCoin as a threat! They know what will happen to NYC value once Press Release campaign kicks off.

Don't sell your NYC for 1 Satoshi! That is a rediculous value. Hold your NewYorkCoin for 1,000+ Satoshi each! Maybe even more if NYC merchant acceptance starts to kick off. Then the sky is the limit!

To reach 1000 satoshi value NYC coin needs much more work. Are you having any progress?
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) Fair & FREE Distribution | Pure PoS | Join Community on: April 14, 2014, 08:44:33 AM
I propose to create a group of people  who want to participate in a brainstorming session about the marketing of this coin. Free ideas on how to develop products and services. Make a selection of the most interesting proposal and present them to the community. For job reasons I haven't the time to physically create the list or a skype group, but if someone wants to start to deal with would be welcome. Personally, I already have some ideas which I'd like to have your opinion
What do you think about?
Pardon for my imperfect english

PS: I don't understand, from yesterday I wrote at least twenty message but my activity is always blocked at 70....  Huh

I agree,a group like that can make a lot of difference.

And activity level increases suddenly dont worry.

Thanks for the info about activity level  Wink
Yeh, I think COMM COIN has a great potential because each member of the community can do something accepting COMM... We started very well, if also we will be able to organize a little network of very useful services around it I think that then we could run

If it can be done,COMM will reach BC soon.

538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][STD] StandardCoin - BUILT-IN EXCHANGE - Permanently Rising Rate on: April 13, 2014, 03:39:53 PM
Will Standard coin ever hit exchanges? If not very very few people will trade it through the built in exchange.

If the rate is so permanently rising why isnt the developer trying to get it added to exchanges?
It's on an exchange already:
https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-STD

Why isnt anyone trading?

Also why no news from dev and whats up with his negative ratings?
