There is no blockchain, what about a block explorer like "normal" coins? Smiley

The blockchain is replaced with a blockDAG. You would have to find an explorer for DAGs.

There is no blocks. Tips.
So it must be called tipexplorer  Huh

Foundation's main problems: SLOW, CLOSED and CENTRALIZED.
I can even say now the qualaties of successfull crypto project: FAST, OPEN SOURCE AND DECENTRALIZED.

If you don't like Crypti there are hundreds of other coins out there for you. Including Lisk.

In other words: either glorify or go away.  Grin

I'v been with Crypti from IPO (as investor), even before Max and Olivier appears.
And here is what I have to say after 18 month: we fucked up in NOVEMBER 2014.

- failed on initial consensus protocol (november 2014);
- failed on open source vs closed source;
- failed on decentralization vs centralization (BOTH TECHNOLOGICAL AND EXECUTIVE)).

Some comments:

I think if anything, looking at the history and path that Crypti has taken to get to this point, we have shown our dedication and ability to successfully manage a project. We are delivering the final milestones we promised in our initial roadmap.
No, you promise custom block chains till the end of 2014 end you fucked up.

- I operate  36 / 101 delegates on the network (I have been the most loyal supporter of the network from day one).
Think about it, that's crazy centralization, even bitcoin mining pools is better then Crypti's delegates.

Overall, this seemed like a reasonable plan to me for the next phase of the project, but an alternate plan was also proposed to do a re-launch almost identical to what is now being done with Lisk to raise more funding to pay for continued development.

524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to invest in? on: January 29, 2016, 01:09:40 PM
I just bought some Eth and I'm wondering if anything else is promising or has potential for the future. Like NXT or NEM... or something else?

Write down your thoughts about it, I'll stick with BTC and ETH now.

Blockchain is obsolete and has no use cases compared to IoT market and tangle tech. Everyone know it.

Works, although no decemical point in balance

Code:
{"command": "getBalance", "address":"YICKYEYPTEEW9LX9YHSEZFBETZHESXHKOLDDFAV9SUZCFMMSLPA9GSQPEETQFHQJGZUB9WSACCRZJZKQI"}

{"balance": 1122000000000, "note": "'getBalance' command will be removed, do not use in production"}

That's plain silly,

Do you know how long 5 years is for a brain like Vitalik's? That is a huge % of his entire LIFE.

This is like talking to Saul Kripke when he was 11 and then again when he was 16 - the difference would be a brilliant child at 11 and at 16 an all time genius. Not sure Vitalik will reach THAT level, but, don't under estimate how much 5 years is for someone 1) that young 2) that smart.

If you can't trust and believe in guys like him and come-from-beyond, I think it's best to exit the space (unless you feel you are ABOVE them, at which you point you look to solve their "shortcomings" yourself).

I decline to communicate under "Buterin engineering genius" presupposition. However, financial success of Ethereum supports this myth. And the myth itself supports financial success.

But let's back to iota discussion.

Hi, I'm a python/bash script monkey and if you have any scripting tasks that I could get done quickly I'm willing to do them for a small fee. Example scripting tasks include:

Changing the 'title' metadata of every song in a directory with the song's filename, minus the extension
Printing out weather forecast data for your city with nice formatting
Giving the word count of an essay in plain text, not including quotes
Deleting every song in a directory whose 'artist' metadata is "Justin Bieber"

You decide on a fee between 0.25 and 5 BTC depending on how substantial the task is, and if it's reasonable and I know how to I'll do it. If you have any specific language requirements, let me know. Send bitcoins to 1PnqE59974vkazJFuxWABt5TiTQWjEsYyK

I will not invest in etherium even 1 iota.

Etherium is number three on coinmarketcap.

And what you have done?

I hope Come from Beyond will rebute altcoinUK's scam accusations of JINN.

We manufactured pieces of the prototype but decided not to publish the info to keep the project in stealth mode. altcoinUK's accusations are not worth losing stealth advantage, he is just one of many guys with big mouth, why should we care?

Edit: I think I can show one proof, because it's public anyway:

I am more confused now from this code, it's like a Chinese text to me Smiley
I read in the forum that JINN investors expected you design a processor, sell it and pay dividend from the processor sale. is the code at the link part of the processor design, will you sell this code? sorry, I am not a programmer. I just want understand what can the investors expect from IOTA if all money goes to JINN and it is not possible to deliver JINN.
no hard feeling. I know the rules, only invest what you can afford to lose.

This paper kinda tell that it will be possible to write software for their ternary computer if it ever be implemented/assembled. Nothing more, nothing less.

Are you running the project ?

Community runs the project  Smiley
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Technology vs. Marketing. Which is more important? on: January 23, 2016, 12:35:06 AM
Aren't small community signals crappy tech?

Not necessarily, but that almost surely signals crappy marketing and/or simply bad communication practices.

How do you measure the size of the community? By number of sockpuppet accounts posting in official threads?

A gut intuition based on reading quality comments in official threads?

Endorsement by Hero members?

The number of non-zero accounts in cryptocurrency ?
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Technology vs. Marketing. Which is more important? on: January 22, 2016, 11:50:43 PM
I think both Technology and Marketing are essential.

Right now I am evaluating two projects. One has great tech but a small community and very little marketing. The other project has a larger community and fancy marketing materials  but its underlying technology is not as strong.

Which project should I support? Is it easier to fix broken tech or implement an effective marketing plan?

Aren't small community signals crappy tech?

GUI is still not ready  Huh It's three html pages, right ?
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA Crowdsale on: January 21, 2016, 02:18:51 PM
How can I calculate it based in my BTC payment and 15% bonus?

Thanks

Multiply it by 860134.

So the magic number is 860134. I wonder what forbes will write about this number in two years.
