523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CryptoCircuits (CIRCUITS) [1st w/ vDPOS] ICO is now LIVE on CCEX. on: June 17, 2015, 12:33:06 PM
Hi Everyone

The ICO is now up and running. We'd like to thank everyone for all the great support and the pm's, it makes a big difference when people are working hard.

Looking over the thread it is also gratifying to see a community taking shape, with people posting solid questions and observations, and keeping the tone positive and information oriented. In particular there have been a lot of questions about the revenue streams and social advertising. Obviously there are other coins out there who have social networks as a revenue stream source; however we feel the approach we are using is a far better implementation, is less intrusive, and ends up giving actual control of both the program and the revenues to the community, through the Culling and Assembly phases outlined in the OP.

Apologies to everyone who missed out on the first radio program with the devs, it was broadcast pretty late last night, so we'll be posting that link when the radio guys wake up. Another radio show coming up Thursday evening PST, we'll post the details here.

CryptoCircuits

What radio program?

It was just the dev named Thursday. He talked a bit about the different trading rooms, the escrows, the Culling, and the DPOS. Definitely sounded like a guy who knew his shit. He did not say much about the other devs except to point out that vDPOS is not come out of nowhere, so of course the implication is that a DPOS dev from Crave or some such coin is in on the team.

He didn't say anything about Supernet devs, but he did talk about the improvements Circuits was making on social marketing and revenue streams as compared to Viral. He had a lot to about different ways of making money with the coin. Almost like they poached one of the Viral devs as well.

Definitely worth a listen when they get around to posting the link. Made me pretty stoked to be buying in. I think they said one more interview tonight with Barakus the vDPOS dev.

I missed it too. Was asleep like a baby. I think it will be posted soon so we can all listen.
524  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Bull Market Coming? on: June 17, 2015, 11:53:16 AM
It's quite possible. People, smart people were waiting for the "bottom" to start buying. I think they realized that $220 was not going to be broken and have started freaking out because they had expected to pick up BTC for $100 or so.
Now the panic kicks in and we have our next bullrun.
525  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you ever been to jail? on: June 17, 2015, 11:50:31 AM
Sorry but, what is the difference between jail and prison? Aren't these two words synonymous?   Huh

Jail is normally for offenders awaiting trial and those already sentenced but to minimal time. Most jails wont house offenders with sentences over 2-3 years. Prison is for Offenders who have been sentenced to time longer then 2-3 years.

Thank you, now the difference is clear.
I thought that jails and prisons were exactly the same thing with just some of them (no matter if jail or prison) built with an higher security level.

Glad to help. And they are the same thing for all intents and purposes. Both are large concrete fortresses designed to keep people on the inside. The only real difference is the type of people they are locking up.

I just bought 0.39 btc worth. I will sell some other coins today and slowly buy more till I have at least 1%.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 17, 2015, 11:17:02 AM
Invest in alts, make a quick hit and sell.
That's a great way if you want to know.
Just have to pick out the right projects at the right time.
That's the tricky part.

Fluff would be talked about no existent features or simple things like block explorers. That wallet is loaded with great stuff and the road map is even more progressive. Hardly what I would call fluff.
LAWLZ... Yes, links to web sites and social profiles are "great stuff", real innovation... Did I mention the LAWLZ

You obviously failed to read the OP and understand the bigger picture. It's ok. I don't blame you. You just know no better.
530  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sex behind bars. Conjugal Visits. Good or Bad? on: June 16, 2015, 10:32:08 PM
Depends on their crime in my opinion. If they are in jail for battery, domestic, diddling or anything against kids the answer should be "No"!

What if they are a drug dealer? Where does the line get drawn?
531  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you ever been to jail? on: June 16, 2015, 10:10:58 PM
I have never been to jail but Im a big fan of OITNB. Crazy Eyes (Suzanne) is my favorite character on that show. It's funny to see this thread, I just finished watching an episode with my girlfriend and was thinking about conjugal visits because the show we just saw was about an inmate who was not allowed to have them but a guard let her because he felt bad for her as she had just got married.

Here is a link to the thread I just made
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1091753.0

I've never been to Jail or Prison and I don't plan on it either so I cant answer your questions but its funny to see that Orange is the new black has even made its way to our forum.
532  Other / Politics & Society / Sex behind bars. Conjugal Visits. Good or Bad? on: June 16, 2015, 10:04:52 PM
Wondering what the general consensus is regarding conjugal visits in prison. The way I see it, these criminals broke the law and it's been determined by a judge or jury that their freedom is to be taken away.

So why let criminals have sex in prison?

Do they let inmates on death row have them? If not. Why not?

What do you guys think?

I wonder if they know at all when this is gonna be up and running approximately?

It's not. It was all a dream!

İs there anyone who knows why people dumping dash? Is there anything we dont know? Or someone accumulate the  Dash? Im so confused.

Dash is over. That's why the people are dumping. Too many new coins coming out with working cool revenue streams taking all the spotlight.
That's why.

Deadly flaw alert Deadly flaw alert Deadly flaw alert Deadly flaw alert Deadly flaw alert

Traders Lounge: This panel unlocks at staked weight of 1% of total coin supply (27,000 Circuits) - These users will benefit from 1% additional stake per block.
Whale Lounge: This panel unlocks at staking weight of 3% of total coin supply (81,000 Circuits) - These users will benefit from 3% additional stake per block.

With the numbers you have set up there can never be mass adoption of this coin.
How can you have mass adoption with a maximum of 150 traders in the traders lounge (150 btc=150 1%er) and 0 whales or a mix of the two but it cant have mass adoption the way you have it set up. Another reason is because what if the price goes to $1 then to access the traders lounge you will need 27000 usd.  Grin Which will never happen.
So dev, what is your answer for this?

Have you been dropped on your head as a kid? The devs can most probably change the amounts at any time with a simple wallet update and small change in the code. Other coins have the same thing going and I'm sure its an easy adjustment when needed.

I am not a dev so I don't know this, but then everyone will need to update and that could make a fork cant it? Still looks like a fatal flaw to me.

No dude. Updates happen all the time in crypto and most go through without a hitch. You know, for someone who has little knowledge about being a coin dev, making updates and forks you really came across like someone who did know what he was talking about.
All that fatal flaw bullshit was unnecessary as you see now, all you had to do was reach out and ask questions and you would have known that this is not a flaw but a feature and a really cool one in my opinion.

538  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: June 15, 2015, 12:00:48 PM
After the fall of Mt. Gox ...I think this is very important Q to all Bitcoin newbies like me.

It is more than a year now people are expressing their exchange of choice. So, I thought of listing them below...

Direct Trading Exchange :-

i. www.LocalBitcoins.com

ii. www.100bit.co.in

Real Time Exchange :-

i. www.BTC-e.com

ii. www.BitStamp.net

iii. www.Kraken.com

iv. www.CoinBase.com

v. www.OKcoin.com

vi. www.BTCchina.com

vii. www.Cryptsy.com

viii. www.Bitfinex.com

BTC-e all the way. Easy, reliable. I have had zero complaints, and I have been using it for quite some time now.
And I think most of the people here seem to like btc-e for a reason.
It's simple, if you're thinking the one for you, I think you needn't look further Smiley

Let's be honest here. BTC-e has many complaints all over this forum. They pick and choose who they scam but besides that and those complaints I've never had any issues with them personally while trading at their exchange. I'm sure some others here have seen the threads and the accusations.

Price down pick up!
 Grin
I just did. It's fairly obvious that we'll see another pump here. I just wonder how long we'll be waiting.

The Culling

By Phase 3, we have built a community of skilled, active traders and investors who have arrived from many parts of the crypto landscape.  Many of these traders and community members have established brands and escrow reputations within the CryptoCircuits ecosystem - through their participation in the various Slack rooms, being on-air in After Dark, and in their trading, teaching, and escrow dealings within the community. We have a strong network of branded escrow agents within Circuits - and now these escrow agents  step forward to escrow The Culling.

The Culling is a 30 day period where any investor can post via Whale level escrow an offer to buy or sell any amount of Circuits. There is one simple rule: once an offer is posted and escrow established, anyone can propose the opposite of the offer, and the agreement is immediately effectuated.

Example: Sam offers to buy 2000 Circuits for 2 btc. He places both 2 BTC and 2000 circuits in escrow. Anyone can now immediately sell those Circuits to Sam - but anyone can also immediately demand 2000 Circuits from Sam at that exact price, and the sale is closed.

The result: a second phase price discovery that allows volatile, large scale,  yet completely fair transfer of Circuits to the sharpest traders and those who are intent on becoming the core holders of Circuits.

So only people with BTC and CIRC can take place in the culling? What if a new potential investor only hears about CIRC during the culling and wants to place bids. Will he be allowed?
I do love this idea though, its brilliant. With the way you set up the three phases CIRC will see a lot of attention and action both on the charts and on the thread over the coming months.

By my read, the Culling is all intramarket. You would need to have Circuits to participate. But once you have Circuits, it is an interesting mechanism to consolidate and increase
your holdings. Sort of Mexican standoff, winner takes all form of betting large blocks of Circuits.

And if you get large blocks of coins being moved, the escrows (Whale Lounge?) would be generating some nice fees. I guess both BTC and Circuits.

Interesting to say the least. Im not sure how this will work in reality but in theory it seems like a great idea. So if I want to purchase 10000 CIRC and I'm offering 1BTC I must also have an offer to sell 10000 CIRC for 1BTC? If that's going to work that way I assume we'll find a great market price through this technique.
