521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How well is the Blockchain technology adopting? on: September 30, 2019, 07:50:56 PM
This is not true, including to some articles and based on what i have witnessed over the last couple of years, the blockchain technology is one of the fastest and well spoken technology that is being adopted out there, and when we talk about blockchain we are not just talking about cryptocurrency we are talking about a whole new system that connects people, and every now and than we hear news about banks, companies research industries trying and testing this new and growing technology, and this is just the beginning.

I'm starting to think you're right. Some of these sites just put whatever information (articles) they like when most of them are totally untrue.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How well is the Blockchain technology adopting? on: September 30, 2019, 10:26:59 AM
After doing my research, I found that as of August 2018, there were over 1,600 cryptocurrencies. Presently, I'm sure that there's a great increase in the number of cryptocurrencies. This is because almost every time, new cryptocurrencies are created. With this and some other improvements, it is obvious that the Blockchain technology is really spreading. However, a lot of people have little or no idea about the Crypto world.

I was really surprised when I realised that only about 8% of Americans own Crypto money, and they are mostly men.
Some say that the Blockchain technology isn't really going as far as it should because most users don't really confide in others.
What do you think is the reason why the Blockchain technology isn't adopted as fast as we suppose it should?
Talking about blockchain technology, I think it is still much underrated considering the increased amounts of security it can bring with it. Major companies are trying to move their data over blockchain but there is still a huge market of blockchain. Indian government has already announced its plans to create a govt. backed cryptocurrency Lakshmi and also said that it would promote the use of blockchain in all sectors. some companies India has even started to take it's property records over blockchain.

This is really impressive. I hope all countries and their government come to understand the benefit of the Blockchain technology and not limiting it's citizens from it.

Here in our country, there's only few who are well informed on what blockchain, cryptocurrency, or bitcoin is all about. Most of the people here still think that this is scam when it's actually not. Well, I can't blame them since there are lots of scammers here, even those that are not related to blockchain and crypto. That's one of the major factors that affect why it's still not so popular here.

We're thankful that it's not banned or treated as illegal here unlike on other countries. And some establishments even starting to recognize on using bitcoin for transactions. I still don't even heard from our government taking action about this. I don't know if they're still unaware or if they're just focusing on some other issues instead or if I just missed something. But that's the current status in my country.

That's the point. Even here in my country, only a very few people are informed about Crypto. When you tell them, it's either they've never heard of it before or they sigh. However, I also point at fraudulent activities to be one of the major reason behind the fact that some people think Crypto is scam. Finally, it'll spread beyond all doubts (I believe).
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How well is the Blockchain technology adopting? on: September 30, 2019, 08:17:01 AM
As of today, there are more and more countries that adopting blockchain technology some of them have to make their own version of cryptocurrency with their own money with a fixed price.

We are lucky to be one of the first people to know about its existence. Without our knowledge of this technology, Hearing something about Cryptocurrency will become strange for us.

In my country some small business is taking Altcoins as a means of payments, I cannot wait to see more adoption of Blockchain technology in our country. Today, maybe only small businesses are using it but later on, when they found this out big businesses will adopt it too.

Nice to hear how it's going on in your country. However, in my own country, there's little or no business accepting Crypto money. Though I believe it'll keep spreading, it's not spreading like wild fire to me.

I was surprised that although cryptocurrency is still new, it is being well-known worldwide and being used by a lot of people globally. So I think, cryptocurrency can adopt to the world changes since we are on an internet generation that all things happen online and one of the example of the adaptation of the cryptocurrency is it is being used online to used it as a payment. Cryptos are still improving and I think a decade from now all of us will used cryptocurrency on our daily lives.

"I was surprised that although cryptocurrency is still new, it is being well-known worldwide and being used by a lot of people globally."

Well-known? I don't think Cryptocurrency is well known. Though I see a few online stores that accept Crypto, I don't  think that Crypto is well known cause a whole lot of people would have adopt it. So funny how most people don't even know the word 'Cryptocurrency'.

First there are lot more than 1600 cryptocurrencies. Only coinmarketcap is showing 2904 cryptocurrencies and remember that coinmarketcap only list the currencies which have some value. There are thousand more which are not listed on it as they did not fulfil the criteria.

Now comes the adaption part. Crypto is growing at a rapid rate but the reason it is not adopted yet is that the governments do not want bitcoin to be adopted. They do not want to lose the control over the financial system and hence they always speck negative about it.

When I said 1,600 cryptocurrencies, I was referring to last year August statistics. However, if the other cryptocurrencies were actually created in the space of 1 year (august 2018 - now), then that is obviously a massive adoption of the Blockchain technology.

first reasons is affraid , affraid of losing money since crypto currency price is not stable more people is affraid investing in to it ,all do this will help to make transactions easy and fast its still difficult for them to invest .
2nd is no idea what will be the use or how to use crypo currency .

I strongly support the aspect where you speak about fear. I also believe that some (or most) people are really afraid of losing their money. Adding to that, this fear could probably be caused by scam stories and experience.
529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How well is the Blockchain technology adopting? on: September 29, 2019, 07:28:42 PM

How did you come up with the 8%?

Its true though that there are only few of us in crypto.  Businesses can easily adopt crypto by simply having a wallet where they can receive payments but with customers who only knew fiat makes it difficult for the wide spread adoption. 8% is actually a good number in just one continent. We'll see in few more years.

To me, I don't really consider 8% to be a good number. PS: I'm not saying it's bad either. However, let's actually wait and see what happens in the future. (though I have very positive thoughts)
530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How well is the Blockchain technology adopting? on: September 29, 2019, 07:22:58 PM
I think adopting blockchain technology in a national state requires much longer time than a merchant adopting it to accept payment.  There is a need to regulation, rules, amendments to the constitution if there is conflicts and that take time.  Aside from that, the challenge lies on the people who are intended to use that technology.  For example, a merchant can implement crypto payment but it would be difficult for him to implement if the other end (customer) do not know how to transfer cryptocurrency.  So he have to explain it to those who fell short of knowledge about the basics of cryptocurrency transfers.

That is the point. A lot of people are just unaware about the Blockchain technology. If I asked someone next to me about the Blockchain technology, I strongly doubt I'll get an answer.
531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How well is the Blockchain technology adopting? on: September 29, 2019, 07:19:10 PM
You can't really say there is no improvement in blockchain adoption, this is a technology that the government feels threatens their control power because of decentralized currency like the bitcoin. There has been raging war against the bitcoin by the government and big banks, which has made many commoners in the society think their government is right. Well, many persons listen to the government on financial matters, yet the government and the capitalist are the problems of our slavery economy. Recently some persons have started coming out on how to implement the blockchain on some pressing areas like voting, data storage, and many others.

Get me right, I'm not saying that there's no improvement. I'm trying to think out why the Blockchain technology is adopted as fast as it should.

534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fell again, what conspiracy? on: September 28, 2019, 07:56:20 AM
Bitcoin price movements are very difficult to predict.  There are no definite positive and negative sentiments and can move prices. There is only demand and supply with limited supply.

So naturally there are only investors who can get rich overnight but the next day instead fall into poverty because of freefall prices.

But sometimes, I find bitcoin price predictable. Just that I didn't see this one coming. But I know that a lot of people out there knew it was gonna drop.
535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fell again, what conspiracy? on: September 28, 2019, 07:53:35 AM
For two consecutive days, Bitcoins fell late at night. There are many rumors on the Internet, some people say that the exchange joint bankers, institutions, a hanging of retail investors. Others say they are preparing for big organizations to come in one after another. But in any case, retail investors are innocent.

Please get me right; I'm not saying that retail investors are guilty about it. However, I believe that the fall *could be* caused by retail investors.
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this still possible today? on: September 27, 2019, 11:13:28 PM
For sure, it's possible. Bitcoin on its own is a perfect example of coins that started with low volume. I also believe that such coins mostly turn to be the best.

I would also add the time counter only counts time while you are loged in.

Good weekend everyone!

"Any tips on earning merit?"

Hello brother. I heard and strongly believe that posting engaging topics is one of the ways to get merits. Don't know about much means. I also need merit too. At least one 😔

What does that do?

Total time logged in: 110 days, 8 hours and 19 minutes.

AND U?

I've always thought the same. However thanks for making this post.... I just came to realize what the timing is about. Last I checked, mine was approximately 24 hours (probably because I post and go off immediately).....

540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most popular payment methods to buy Bitcoin in 2019 on: September 27, 2019, 09:41:49 PM
I simply do not use any of the method mentioned above to buy Bitcoins.  Buying and selling Bitcoin is most easy and secure on any P2P exchange for me. Localbitcoins is the most trusted P2P exchange for me to buy and sell Bitcoins. It provides me the facility of buy on sellers price or place my own bid to buy Bitcoins and vice- versa for selling BTC. It also provides with the trust ranking of all the users there to chose from and also payment is instant. I believe P2P exchanges are the most easiest way to buy and sell BTC currently.

I understand your point. However, I believe that PayPal (as listed no 1 in the post) is one of the most adopted way of buying BTC
