521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: May 09, 2021, 09:37:49 AM
@Nerome
We are focused in the Top15 blockchains first.

@asdsvsdf
not all crypto income is taxed the same way therefore we do not upload the income report as a whole. Please enter your income manually in the respective section of the tax form. You find them on the income report as part of your tax report.
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: May 08, 2021, 08:40:10 AM
@danjacksonuk
thank you for the design input. I will share this with our team.
@asdsvsdf
All transactions before midnight are included in the date filter setting.
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: May 07, 2021, 12:31:53 PM
@elwon20 and all
This is a mistake from our end. We will remove those duplicates automatically by tomorrow latest. So there is nothing to do here from your end.
Sorry for the inconvenience this causes.

524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: May 07, 2021, 11:14:24 AM
1) The time is midnight from the day before. So if you add 1/1/2021 you get midnight 31/12/2020.
2) You can just compare transactions here e.g. using missing transaction report. https://cointracking.info/missing_transactions.php You can try using our new ETH importer instead which is beta state (https://cointracking.info/import/eth_address_new/)
3) backup - we have this on our improvement list. For now if you restore those the custom prices have to be added manually like the API connections.
Possibly this would help: Exchange closed or missing data due to wallet inaccessibility (https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000034626?lang=en)
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: May 07, 2021, 08:54:36 AM
@Plenty
We are working on it. Thank you for your patience. For now add those transactions manually.

@asdsvsdf
Sounds feasible how to add it. We recommend to consult a CPA here.

If you sell some NFT (as we assume NFTs are crypto currencies) and get another currency for it it is a normal trade. The asset value for the NFT is the asset value of the crypto currency you get.

We suggest to use trade/groups and comments for NFT name details and use abbreviations for the tickers.

You just need to add a current price and add the transaction manually if they are not imported via ETH/BSC API. See https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000007203-entering-ico-coins-and-non-listed-assets/en
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: May 06, 2021, 10:26:39 AM
@danjacksonuk
No, as Binance does unfortunately not offer PnL data for cross margin trades (like all other margin trades)
@scatterbug
thank you for helping here sharing your knowledge and experience.
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: May 05, 2021, 10:55:50 AM
@dr1ver
Binance has shared in its 04/23/2021 announcement, that API accesses will be throttled due to high system load. Therefore, API imports for Binance accounts with many transactions and coin pairs can currently take several hours. Binance is working on this problem.
Please use "check now" for your Binance API job and check also the IP whitelisting. And of course check your permissions. If it does not change for some days please create new API key and with this one a new API job.
528  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: CoinTracking - Gewinn/Verlust Portfolio und Steuer Reporting für digitale Coins on: May 04, 2021, 09:08:02 AM
@Fleischmuck
529  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: CoinTracking - Gewinn/Verlust Portfolio und Steuer Reporting für digitale Coins on: May 03, 2021, 11:00:25 AM
(https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000037668?lang=de)
530  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: CoinTracking - Gewinn/Verlust Portfolio und Steuer Reporting für digitale Coins on: May 03, 2021, 08:46:34 AM
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: May 03, 2021, 08:41:08 AM
@danjacksonuk
Actually I do not get the issue or question you still have. Possibly anyone else can add a comment here.
I suggest just add all transactions as they happened in reality. You received a "start over" mail where everything is described to start.
532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: May 02, 2021, 08:58:32 AM
@danjacksonuk
We offer some support here and individually via Ticket or E-Mail (support@cointracking.info) where you need to mention your user name.
Everything is described here: Happy to help - Support process and contact options for CoinTracking (https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000031016/en)
You can check the full service (https://cointracking.info/full_service.php) here if this would help.

Regarding your scenarios. Actually I am not sure I get you here. So I explain again in general.
The FIAT deposit does not matter at all regarding gain calculation. Only if you trade those against crypto and crypto2crypto and back FIAT2crypto.
And if you get paid in crypto you have an income transaction which has a cost base (asset value at the time you get it) as well.
Keep in mind that USDT is a coin as well and not FIAT.
Realized gain is calculated when you really sold coins (with the calculated explained in my last post). Unrealized gain is related to your holdings which you have not sold yet.
533  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: CoinTracking - Gewinn/Verlust Portfolio und Steuer Reporting für digitale Coins on: May 02, 2021, 08:39:14 AM
@Basti773
@patrykstarr
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: May 01, 2021, 12:26:52 PM
@danjacksonuk

Good ideas, thank you. There is a German Telegram group is already available. Feel free to create a group in English and paste the link to get in here.

We do our best to answer all questions appear in reasonable time.

Regarding your topic. We do not recommend to track FIAT deposits and withdrawals at all. It is described here: Different ways of managing your portfolio (https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000018265/en)
The calculation of the gain is always sell value minus buy value. You spend "just" 8k and not 10k so far according your example.
Buy value of 4000 USD (2 ETH * 2000 USD - the ones left does not matter --> listed under "unrealized gain" as you did not sell them so far) minus 10000 USD (2 ETH * 5000 USD) which leads to 6000 USD gain (10000-4000). And you have your 2 ETH left which you have not sold yet.

@Patryk
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: April 29, 2021, 03:36:22 PM
Correct, only in CSP mode search is working.
You need to use the "advanced search mode" here - on Top above your transactions on the right.
Details are shown in the "Enter Coins" Page when you click on "CSP Mode" below your transaction list there.
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: April 27, 2021, 09:11:15 AM
There is nothing to do regarding green lines. Only white entries need to be checked as described in the FAQ. Just focus on them.
And yes they are green as they are detected as counterpart transaction - a deposit must always have a counterpart withdrawal in your portfolio. Otherwise it is the wrong transaction type or the counterpart is just missing as transaction.
